  • 본 논문에서는, 고품질 AT-DMB 시스템을 위해서 각 계층 ES(Elementary Stream)을 MPEG-4 over PEG-2 시스템과 Eureka-147 DAB 시스템을 통해 서로 다른 채널로 전송한다. 계층별 전송으로 인한 시간 지연에 대처하여 수신 입력부에서는 각각의 계층으로 전송된 ES들이 동기화 되어 복호화 되도록 SVC의 계층적 비트스트림 구조와 적응적으로 동작되는 다중화 시스템 구조를 제작하였다.

  • 스마트폰 사용의 보편화와 센서기술의 발달로 이를 응용하는 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히 가속도, GPS, 조도, 방향센서 등의 센서들이 스마트폰에 부착되어 출시되고 있어서, 이를 이용한 상황인지, 행동인식 등의 관련 연구들이 활발하다. 하지만 다양한 클래스를 분류하면서 높은 인식률을 유지하는 것은 어려운 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 인식률 향상을 위해 계층적 구조의 순환 신경망을 이용하여 제스처를 인식한다. 스마트폰의 가속도 센서를 이용하여 사용자의 제스처 데이터를 수집하고 BLSTM(Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory) 구조의 순환신경망을 계층적으로 사용하여, 20가지 사용자의 제스처와 비제스처를 분류한다. 약 24,850개의 시퀀스 데이터를 사용하여 실험한 결과, 기존 BLSTM은 평균 89.17%의 인식률을 기록한 반면 계층적 BLSTM은 평균 91.11%의 인식률을 나타내었다.

  • In recent years, it is very difficult to construct and expand new infrastructures in a city center because of long-term low growth and lack of space due to urban overcrowding. So, there is a need to study a variety of Retrofitting techniques and urban applications that can lead to sustainable development while efficiently utilizing existing facilities. 'Retrofit' means a sustainable urban retrofitting as a directed alteration of the structures, formations and systems of existing facilities to improve energy, water and waste efficiencies. In this study, we applied a hierarchical network design technique that can reflect the structural hierarchy of a city to study how to retrofit public transportation routes in Seoul. The hierarchical network design means dividing the hierarchy according to the functions of hubs and connecting different hierarchies to form a hierarchical network. As a result of comparing the application results of various retrofitting scenarios of public transport, the differences of daily PKT and PHT by about 2.6~3.2% less than before the improvement address that the convenience of passengers is increased. Therefore, it is expected that if the route planning is established according to the proposed method, it will increase the number of passengers and the operational efficiency by the improved convenience of public transit passengers.

  • The OTT service that provides multimedia video has spread over the Internet for terminals with a variety of resolutions. The terminals are in communication via a networks such as 3G, LTE, VDSL, ADSL. The service of the network has been increased for a variety of terminals giving rise to the need for a new way of encoding multimedia is increasing. SVC is an encoding technique optimized for OTT services. We proposed an efficient multimedia management system for the SVC encoded multimedia data. The I/O trace was generated using a zipf distribution, and were comparatively evaluated for performance with the existing system.

  • The purpose of this study is to present a legal improvement plan for health protection of the health-vulnerable class in our society in the 'COVID-19'. The contents of the first study examined the meaning of the existing (social) vulnerable class, and then critically considered the health-vulnerable class as an expanded concept in connection with the social risk of health. The term "vulnerable class" tends to have both meaning as the traditionally marginalized class such as the elderly, the disabled, and women, as well as the condition of having no ability to live due to low income, such as the low-income class. The concept of the health-vulnerable class is meaningful in that it appears as a recently expanded concept as it is linked to the concept of the vulnerable class and social risks such as health threats. The content of the second study looked at the problems that appeared when the health-vulnerable class was used together with the health care-vulnerable class in laws. Due to the laws used in both terms, there was a problem that the social security system related to health and health care could create blind spots. The contents of the third study suggested legal improvement directions for social security measures for health for the underprivileged.

H.264 Encoding Technique of Multi-view Image expressed by Layered Depth Image (계층적 깊이 영상으로 표현된 다시점 영상에 대한 H.264 부호화 기술)

  • This paper presents H.264 coding schemes for multi-view video using the concept of layered depth image(LDI) representation and efficient compression technique for LDI. After converting those data to the proposed representation, we encode color, depth, and auxiliary data representing the hierarchical structure, respectively, Two kinds of preprocessing approaches are proposed for multiple color and depth components. In order to compress auxiliary data, we have employed a near lossless coding method. Finally, we have reconstructed the original viewpoints successfully from the decoded approach that is useful for dealing with multiple color and depth data simultaneously.

  • Scheduling technology is one of the most important elements required to support the Quality of service (QoS) in the Internet and a lot of scheduling algorithms have been developed. However, most of these algorithms ire not flexible to distribute the excess bandwidth. In order to provide flexibility for distributing the excess bandwidth, we proposed excess bandwidth fair queueing (EBFQ) algorithm with relatively low complexity. In this paper, we propose the new extension to this EBFQ algorithm for the hierarchical fair queueing system. This extension can be naturally applied to the existing hierarchical algorithm and simultaneously provide the same level of fairness. Through the simulation and analysis, we verify it.

  • Multi-view video including depth image is necessary to develop a new compression encoding technique for storage and transmission, because of a huge amount of data. Layered depth image is an efficient representation method of multi-view video data. This method makes a data structure that is synthesis of multi-view color and depth image. This efficient method to compress new contents is suggested to use layered depth image representation and to apply for video compression encoding by using 3D warping. This paper proposed enhanced compression method using layered depth image representation and H.264/AVC video coding technology. In experimental results, we confirmed high compression performance and good quality of reconstructed image.

  • With the success of Kindle, an electronic book reader developed by Amazon.com, there has been a growing interest in both electronic books and readers in Korea. In this paper, we analyze electronic book user needs through fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and conjoint analysis. First, we select the important factors which can affect the intention to purchase electronic book readers by applying the fuzzy AHP with the help of electronic book experts. Next, we perform conjoint analysis to reveal the detailed needs of electronic book users for each of the selected factors. Some useful implications and research limitations are also presented with future research directions.

  • SVC layered video is consists of a Base Layer (BL) and Enhancement Layer (EL). Without the base layer decoding, the higher EL layer can not be decoded. Therefore, successful transfer of the BL is important factor for improving the SVC video data. In this paper, we propose a network coding of layered video to improve success decoding probability with the importance order of the video data over a multi-relay system. We shows that formula analysis and experimental results of the proposed network coding scheme. In addition, we shows performance of video quality according to the number of relays.
