Design and Implementation of Network Management System for Integrated Management of IP based Subscriber Networks (IP기반 가입자망 통합관리를 위한 망관리 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • Internet Service Subscribers Network has a new role of providing various multimedia services to the home. However, there exist several types of distributed subscriber networks using Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL), Very high-bit rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL), and Data Over Cable Service Interface Specifications (DOCSIS). The efficient and concentrated network management of those several distributed subscribers networks with resources requires the general network information model, which has and conceptional managed objects independent of type of network and its equipment to manage the integrated subscriber network. This paper presents the general Internet subscribers network model of the managed object to manage that network in the form of integrated hierarchy. This paper adopts the object-oriented development methodology with UML and designs and implements the integrated subscribers NMS of cable data network and VDSL network as examples of the subscriber networks.

  • This paper proposes a method for selecting efficient relay nodes in stochastic DTN model. Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) uses the Carry and Forward method, which creates a bundle layer for efficient communication, selects relay nodes between different networks and heterogeneous networks, and forwards messages. DTN is basically composed of mobile nodes so DTN has no fixed routing route and it has long latency due to intermittent connection. Therefore, the nodes constituting the DTN necessarily have the characteristics to store the messages, and the capacity of the stored messages and nodes affects the performance of the network. Stochastic DTN model proposed a Markov model that changes randomly over time to analyze the performance of DTN. In this paper, we use stochastic message distribution and node contact probabilities using contact time analyzed through message generation and extinction in order to select efficient relay nodes in stochastic DTN model.

  • In this thesis, two possible schemes for power feeding are considered. The first one is the network power feeding, and the other is the power feeding from the rechargeable battery. Though each scheme has its merits and demerits, the domestic network operator has proposed the latter due to the large deviation of line resistance, high power loss, and safety. This scheme, however, has several problems. The usage is limited by the life of battery leading to the failure of minimal voice service for many hours. The space occupation of that battery is another serious problem. Moreover, the network opeator should have overhead of maintenance and repair. In order to alleviate such the difficulties, the sealing current is introduced through the subscriber loop. Flowing the current into the loop prevents from rusting. This thesis designs a power controller using PEB2025 to control various amount, duration, and period of this sealing current, to achieve the optimum current supply for sealing.

Accelerated Large-Scale Simulation on DEVS based Hybrid System using Collaborative Computation on Multi-Cores and GPUs (멀티 코어와 GPU 결합 구조를 이용한 DEVS 기반 대규모 하이브리드 시스템 모델링 시뮬레이션의 가속화)

  • Discrete event system specification (DEVS) has been used in many simulations including hybrid systems featuring both discrete and continuous behavior that require a lot of time to get results. Therefore, in this study, we proposed the acceleration of a DEVS-based hybrid system simulation using multi-cores and GPUs tightly coupled computing. We analyzed the proposed heterogeneous computing of the simulation in terms of the configuration of the target device, changing simulation parameters, and power consumption for efficient simulation. The result revealed that the proposed architecture offers an advantage for high-performance simulation in terms of execution time, although more power consumption is required. With these results, we discovered that our approach is applicable in hybrid system simulation, and we demonstrated the possibility of optimized hardware distribution in terms of power consumption versus execution time via experiments in the proposed architecture.

Structural and Job Analysis for Core Competency of Aircraft Maintenance Crew Using Fuzzy Theory (퍼지이론을 이용한 항공기 정비사 핵심역량 구조 및 업무분석)

  • In this paper, structural analysis for the 16 core competencies of aircraft maintenance crew using FSM is carried out for the purpose of improving the capability of aircraft maintenance. As a result, the three groups of layers are composed of the 3 top layers, 3 middle layers and 10 lowest layers. These results make it possible to grasp the impact and importance. In addition, the core competency of aircraft maintenance crew can improve the maintenance quality and productivity through working on the spot. In this viewpoint, fuzzy relational matrix, which is used as a basis for evaluating the work, can be obtained from the data of the 100 aircraft maintenance crew for core competencies. In this paper, the efficiency of this model is shown by utilizing the 100 modeling data and the 67 checking data.

  • Recently, a new theoretical and methodological approach for computational science is becoming more and more popular for analyzing and solving scientific problems in various scientific disciplines such as Computational fluid dynamics, Chemistry, Physics, Structural Dynamics, Computational Design and applied research. Computational science is a field of study concerned with constructing mathematical models and quantitative analysis techniques and using large computing resources to solve the problems which are difficult to approach in a physical experimentally. In this paper, we present R&D of EDISON open integration platform that allows anyone like professors, researchers, industrial workers, students etc to upload their advanced research result such as simulation SW to use and share based on the cyber infrastructure of supercomputer and network. EDISON platform, which consists of 3 tiers (EDISON application framework, EDISON middleware, and EDISON infra resources) provides Web portal for education and research in 5 areas (CFD, Chemistry, Physics, Structural Dynamics, Computational Design) and user service.

  • In this paper, we propose implementation of 3D fashion show animation based on web which needs a construction of 3D fashion shopping mall. The 3D model made by 3D MAX program was exported XML type and displayed on web using ActiveX of D3D library. For the purpose of fashion show animation of 3D model in various clothes which selected by customer of shopping mall, we design the parts of standard clothes with hierarchical structure and assemble them. Next, we are mapping the various textures to them and animate 3D model in similar clothes which selected by customer on web.

  • The cdma2000 1xEV-DO system controls the data rates of mobile terminals based on a binary overload indicator from the base station and a simple probabilistic model. However, this traffic control scheme has difficulty in controlling the reverse-link traffic load effectively and in guaranteeing a stable operation of the reverse link because each mobile terminal determines the next data rate autonomously. This paper proposes a new trafRc control scheme to improve the system stability, and analyzes the proposed scheme by modeling it as a discrete-time Markov process. The numerical results show that the maximum data rate of the proposed scheme is much higher than that of the conventional one. Moreover, the proposed scheme does not modify the standard physical channel structure, so it is compatible to the existing 1xEV-DO system.

  • If there is redeveloping into the system applying the object-oriented paradigm, productivity Improvement of software through reuse would be accomplished and maintenance cost be reduced. When a procedure-oriented system is transformed to a type applying the object-oriented paradigm, various techniques are studied to extract objects from source code automatically or semi-automatically. However, it is not easy to extract conceptuat objects when those techniques are applied, This problem entails another problem which drops the conceptual integrity of the extracted objects. In this paper, we suggest an object extraction method and tool development to resolve the problem occurring at the time when thc pr"~r"m, dcveloped through procedure-oriented is transformed to an object-oriented system. The suggested method allow to extract the desired objects using object modeling for various application domains of the real world given source code and design recovery information. During the extraction process, functionality and global variables of the source code as well as its intcrface arc rigorously analyzed. This process can enhance the conceptual integrity of the objects and make easy to construct class hierarchies.

  • 국내 상수도가 보급되지 않은 지역 내 취약 계층은 약 214만 명으로 대부분은 노후관정 및 미신고 관정에서 지하수를 먹는물로 이용하고 있다. 이들은 대부분 미신고 관정이기 때문에 실태파악이 어렵고 정기적인 수질 검사를 실시하지 않아 수질상태에 대한 안전 대책이 미흡한 실정이다. 우리나라의 경우 농촌지역의 관정은 천부지하수의 의존도가 크고 강우에 의한 지표오염물질(축산분뇨, 비료 등)이 관정 내부로 유입 가능성이 매우 높다. 기존 연구에서도 천부지하수 관정의 조사 결과, 질산성질소 및 총대장균군에 의한 수질 오염이 심각하다고 보고된다(Chae et al., 2004; Min et al., 2003). 따라서 상수도 미보급지역 지하수 관정의 지하수 수질 현황을 파악하고, 고농도 오염 관정 및 지역의 경우 정밀조사를 통해 오염 원인을 규명해야 한다. 또한 오염 원인에 대한 향후 개선방안 및 대책안을 마련하여 지하수 수질 안정성 확보를 도모할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 환경부 산하 국립환경과학원에서는 안심지하수 지원 사업을 2012년 "지하수 안심이용 무료 수질검사 시범사업"부터 시작하여 2016년 "상수도 미보급지역 2016년 안심지하수 지원사업 연구"로 이어지며 수행하였다. 이 사업은 수질분석, 관정내부 탐사, 마을 공용 음용관정 설치지원, 고농도 오염지역 중 시범사업 지역 선정, 고농도 오염지역 수질개선 시범사업으로 구성된다. 수질 분석은 2012년 TA군 내 8개 읍 면의 1,200개 관정, 2013년 경기 북동부권 8개 시 군 11,861개 관정, 2014년 전국 14,494개 관정, 2015년 전국 25,900 관정, 2016년 전국 25,914 관정에 대해 수질 분석을 실시하였다. 수질분석 결과를 바탕으로 고농도 오염지역의 지하수 관정 내부 탐사를 실시하여 소유주에게 주변 환경 개선 조치 및 대민 지원(마을 공용 음용관정 설치)을 수행하고, 시범조사 대상지역을 선정하여 오염지역의 오염원 현황, 수질조사, 지하수 유동 모델링을 실시하여 오염 원인을 파악하였다. 추가로 2014년에는 안심지하수 수질보전 연구로드맵을 작성하여 환경부에 제시하였고, 2015년은 수질개선 사업에 대한 경제성 분석, 수질자료 DB 구축이 완료되었다.
