A survey of the Necessity and Perceptions of Character Education of Health Science and Non-health Science University Students (일개 보건계열 및 비보건계열 학생들의 인성교육에 대한 필요성 및 인식도 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to obtain the basic data for developing more advanced courses on character education by surveying and analyzing the perception and demands of character education of university students and further, to provide useful information for creating institutional protocol on character education. The study was conducted from April 2018 to May 2018 on students attending the departments of non-health science and health science university students. A total of 206 students participated in this study, and all the students in the non-health science and health science departments were found to be highly aware of the need for character education, its importance and the possibility of personality development through learning. Students from all the departments showed high levels on average in terms of self-understanding according to their personality abilities, and especially their high levels of 'consideration' and 'responsibility'. For the differences in perception of self-efficacy, the lowest level of recognition was for 'will' and the average values were not high. In their response to personality level, all students answered that their personality was 'high' (42.1%), and that the personality education courses at the schools they are currently attending were 'not satisfied' with both the non-health science and health science students. As a result, there were higher results overall for the health science students than that for the non-health science students, but there were not many significant differences. To this end, education institutes will have to prepare conditions for university students to cultivate their expertise in character, while at the same time helping them grow into human beings with the qualities demanded by society. In addition, the government should establish curriculums and content by accurately identifying the needs of character education and devising concrete measures for their implementation, and by more faithfully considering quantitative and qualitative context types for the content base of character education.

Policies of Trajectory Clustering in Index based on R-trees for Moving Objects (이동체를 위한 R-트리 기반 색인에서의 궤적 클러스터링 정책)

  • The R-trees are usually used for an index of trajectories in moving-objects databases. However, they need to access a number of nodes to trace same trajectories because of considering only a spatial proximity. Overlaps and dead spaces should be minimized to enhance the performance of range queries in moving-objects indexes. Trajectories of moving-objects should be preserved to enhance the performance of the trajectory queries. In this paper, we propose the TP3DR-tree(Trajectory Preserved 3DR-tree) using clusters of trajectories for range and trajectory queries. The TP3DR-tree uses two split policies: one is a spatial splitting that splits the same trajectory by clustering and the other is a time splitting that increases space utilization. In addition, we use connecting information in non-leaf nodes to enhance the performance of combined-queries. Our experiments show that the new index outperforms the others in processing queries on various datasets.

  • The modeling analysis for objects placed in a given space can be described objectively when their visual image structure is grasped. It can't be answered without first analyzing the basic program, visual expression. And when the whole aspect of the visual image of the desired interior utensils is presented, the mindset of its designer can be deduced from that. Therefore, the study was based on the lemon juice squeezer, one of the interior kitchen utensils that Philippe Starck designed for Italy ALESSI company. For the study method, putting'The Elements of Dynamic Symmetry' by Prof. Jay Hambidge into practice, 'paradigm' analysis containing the whole'lemon juice squeezer'image was attempted. And to describe it, the visual mark description method by Prof. Bok-Young Kim was used. In conclusion, henceforth, the relationship between interior space and articles, the relationship between object and user, the modeling critique or analysis of the production itself shoud not be intended to be emotional. On the contrary, the study presented an art analyic methodology that can analyze and describe the visual image structure numerically, and confirm the relationship between form and content.

An Experimental Study on the Behavior of T-type Modular Composite profiled Beams (T형 모듈단면 합성 프로파일보의 거동에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This study aims to determine the applicability of the previously published T-type modular profile beam in the manner of producing specimens designed specially for the said purpose, determining their bending and shear behaviors depending on the presence of shear reinforcement, and analyzing the results in comparison with the theoretical equation of plastic deformation. The modular profile beam contributes to bending and shear resistance with the addition of the profile to the form function, and enhances the molding performance through the modular concept. The experimental results showed that the TS series specimens with shear reinforcement have bending behaviors superior to those of the T series specimens without shear reinforcement, which suggests that the used shear reinforcement appropriately bears the shear force. However, it was considered that all the specimens except for the T1-1 specimen failed to have adequate bending performance because of the intermodular slipping caused by the shear failure of the bolts. It is expected that further studies on the T-type modular profile beam, in which shear connectors will be considered as a variable,be performed to develop optimal intermodular connection methods.

An Analysis of Behavior and Strength of Cement using Improved Materials by Laboratory Model Test (실내 모형실험에 의한 지반보강 개량체 특성 분석)

  • For foundation of Port structure, it is essential geotechnical understanding about feature of ground and the geologic formation which is different to terrestrial ground. What is most important is the understanding of soft ground clay, which is much softer than terrestrial ground. To build foundation of a port structure which is mainly gravity based on the special geographical circumstance that is on the sea, the improvement method of foundation should be applied according to soft clay ground features. Therefore, in this study, the behaviors of improved materials with strength were analyzed on the soft clay foundation where suppose to be located the foundation of port structure. The laboratory model test has been conducted in 2 cases with unconfined compression strength of improved materials, 25kPa and 125kPa. Cement, water, and in-situ soft clay were combined at a fixed rate and made a shape of 5cm diameter ${\times}$ 70cm height column. Improved materials were located with replacement ratio(11%, 35% and 61%) in 38cm diameter ${\times}$ 80cm height cylinder. Finally, the stress distribution ratio on the improved materials and clay, settlement was analyzed by applying a load of 10kPa, 30kPa, and 50kPa.

  • 베타세포 손상 및 비만 등 제 2형 당뇨병의 근본적인 원인을 치료해 줄 인슐린 유사체가 개발됐다. 도마뱀의 타액성분을 합성시켜 만든 한국릴리의 '바이에타'는 엑세나타이드를 주성분으로, 인크레틴계열 호르몬인 GLP-1과 유사한 작용을 갖고 있다. 국내에서는 지난해 6월 식품의약품안전청으로부터 승인을 받고 같은 해 11월 출시됐다.
