Technology Trend of Smart Clothing: Based on Patent Information Analysis (스마트 의류의 기술동향: 특허정보분석을 중심으로)

  • Advancement of science technology, combined with other technologies including smart clothing, enables value added product developments and market creation. Accordingly, it became necessary to identify technology trends promptly and to prepare future technology road map. For this purpose, many bibliometric analysis using thesis and patents have been made. However, few such attempts are made in clothing study. Thus, the study examined the latest technology trends and future technology development directions of smart clothing from empirical bibliometric analysis based on smart clothing patent documents. In addition, comparative analysis was made about the market leadership and technology development capability of core sectors by countries utilizing market reach index expressed as patent families and technology development index. The study revealed that overall smart clothing technology development trends has been continuously increasing since 2000. Also the results confirmed that it is in the development stage from the fact that each year the number of patents and patent applicants in portfolio analysis also has been increasing. In addition, comparative results of patent market share and market reach index, with the highest in electronics/ICT technology sectors, indicated that this is the technology sector with competitive acquisition of comparatively advanced technology and market expansion. The analysis methodology of economic value of technology including the presented market reach index in this report is expected to be utilized in the process to identify the current positioning of core technology and future development direction.

Analysis of the contents of the Act on the Development, Management, etc. of Marinas using Semantic Network Analysis (언어네트워크 분석 기법을 활용한 마리나항만법 내용 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to describe quantitatively the characteristics and the structure of the Act on the development, management, etc. of Marinas (the Marinas Act) by analysing its provisions using semantic network analysis. The method of semantic network analysis has its advantages in overcoming limitations of the traditional content analysis method, as it is easy for the user to understand the structure and the shape of a network by figuring out the structural network among words. The object of the analysis is the full text of Marinas Act recently revised from Chapters 1 to 4, while partial analysis is carried out respectively for each chapter from Chapters 2 to 4. The structural characteristic of the Marinas Act shows that the act focuses on the development of marinas, as its main goal is interpreted to set up hardwares and to construct facilities rather than to promote the marina industry itself. Even though some clauses for human capital development and business development are included, they are of less importance compared to the development of marina facilities. This study provides some basic information on the structural characteristics of the current act, which can be referred to in subsequent studies. In the future, it also needs to be complemented through comparative analysis with government policy outcomes and performance of diverse analytical approaches.

  • Ever increasing "Big data" can only be effectively processed by parallel computing. Parallel computing refers to a high performance computational method that achieves effectiveness by dividing a big query into smaller subtasks and aggregating results from subtasks to provide an output. However, it is well-known that parallel computing does not achieve scalability which means that performance is improved linearly by adding more computers because it requires a very careful assignment of tasks to each node and collecting results in a timely manner. Hadoop is one of the most successful platforms to attain scalability. In this paper, we propose a measurement for Hadoop optimization by utilizing a Lorenz curve which is a proxy for the inequality of hardware resources. Our proposed index takes into account the intrinsic overhead of Hadoop systems such as CPU, disk I/O and network. Therefore, it also indicates that a given Hadoop can be improved explicitly and in what capacity. Our proposed method is illustrated with experimental data and substantiated by Monte Carlo simulations.

A Comparative Study on Quantifying Uncertainty of Vitamin A Determination in Infant Formula by HPLC (HPLC에 의한 조제분유 중 비타민 A 함량 분석의 측정불확도 비교산정)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the accurate quantification of vitamin A in infant formula by comparing two different standard stock solutions as well as various sample weights using high performance liquid chromatography. The sources of uncertainty in measurement, such as sample weight, final smaple vloume, and the instrumental results, were identified and used as parameters to determine the combined standard uncertainty based on GUM(guide to the expression of uncertainty in measurement) and the Draft EURACHEM/CITAC Guide. The uncertainty components in measuring were identified as standard weight, purity, molecular weight, dilution of the standard solution, calibration curve, recovery, reproducibility, sample weight, and final sample volume. Each uncertainty component was evaluated for type A and type B and included to calculate the combined uncertainty. The analytical results and combined standard uncertainties of vitamin A according to the two different methods of stock solution preparation were 627 ${\pm}$ 33 ${\mu}$g R.E./100 g for 1,000 mg/L of stock solution, and 627 ${\pm}$ 49 ${\mu}$g R.E./100 g for 100 mg/L of stock solution. The analytical results and combined standard uncertainties of vitamin A according to the various sample weighs were 622 ${\pm}$ 48 ${\mu}$g R.E./100 g, 627 ${\pm}$ 33 ${\mu}$g R.E./100 g, and 491 ${\pm}$ 23 ${\mu}$g R.E./100 g for 1 g, 2 g, and 5 g of sampling, respectively. These data indicate that the preparation method of standard stock solution and the smaple amount were main sources of uncertainty in the analysis results for vitamin A. Preparing 1,000 mg/L of stock solution for standard material sampling rather than 100 mg, and sampling not more than 2 g of infant formula, would be effective for reducing differences in the results as well as uncertainty.

  • Personal information is a requisite for financial transactions as well as a core asset of financial companies. However, as a side effect of the information society, personal information infringements have emerged as significant social risks, causing realized loss to individuals and companies. This study analyzes results of financial and emotional loss in terms of consumer loss and also presents usefulness of insurance in order to minimize such actual damages as a means of risk transfer. In addition, this study investigates components and premium calculation principles of compensation insurance against personal information invasion and finally presents policies to activate these insurance product. As a method of risk management, insurance not only is a useful tool to guarantee consumer protection and companies' financial soundness simultaneously but also provides a basis of quantitative measurement of IT risks.

Identification of Employee Experience Factors and Their Influence on Job Satisfaction (직원경험 요인 파악 및 직무 만족도에 끼치는 영향력 분석)

  • With the fierce competition of companies for the attraction of outstanding individuals, job satisfaction of employees has been of importance. In this circumstance, many companies try to invest in job satisfaction improvement by finding employees' everyday experiences and difficulties. However, due to a lack of understanding of the employee experience, their investments are not paying off. This study examined the relationship between employee experience and job satisfaction using employee reviews and company ratings from Glassdoor, one of the largest employee communities worldwide. We use text mining techniques such as K-means clustering and LDA topic-based sentiment analysis to extract key experience factors by job level, and DistilBERT sentiment analysis to measure the sentiment score of each employee experience factor. The drawn employee experience factors and each sentiment score were analyzed quantitatively, and thereby relations between each employee experience factor and job satisfaction were analyzed. As a result, this study found that there is a significant difference between the workplace experiences of managers and general employees. In addition, employee experiences that affect job satisfaction also differed between positions, such as customer relationship and autonomy, which did not affect the satisfaction of managers. This study used text mining and quantitative modeling method based on theory of work adjustment so as to find and verify main factors of employee experience, and thus expanded research literature. In addition, the results of this study are applicable to the personnel management strategy for improving employees' job satisfaction, and are expected to improve corporate productivity ultimately.

A Meta-Analysis of Korean Literatures about Sick Role Behavior of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients applied Health Belief Model (건강신념모형을 적용한 폐결핵 환자의 환자역할행태 연구에 대한 메타분석)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to summarize results from 11 domestic studies about sick role behavior applied health belief model and to assess the effectiveness of components on behavior change by using meta-analysis. Methods: We collected the existing literatures by using major web search of 'pulmonary tuberculosis patients', 'health belief model', and 'sick role behavior' as key words and by reviewing content of journals. Quantitative meta-analysis was performed by SAS program. Results: Among 66 articles, 11 studies were selected for quantitative meta-analysis. The knowledge level about pulmonary tuberculosis had more effect for only sick role behavior as general characterisitcs(d=0.7870). All the components of health belief model produced significant effects on sick role behavior with the magnitude of effect size from 0.31 to 0.73. The largest effects were benefits on actions of sick role behavior. Conclusions: Overall, these investigation provide very substantial empirical evidence supporting health belief model dimensions as important contributors to the explanation and prediction of sick role behavior among the type of health related behavior in pulmonary tuberculosis patients. Strategic intervention including health education, etc. based on health belief model showed clear advantage in improvement of behavioral change.

  • Korean universities have selected candidates through admission officer system since 2009. However, the universities now have to settle several problems that they faced at the first stage of the system. Therefore, this research, taking the admission screening data of J University as examples, aims to discuss how differently the weight of the screening factors appears depending on the subjects related to college entrance, such as parents, teachers, and admission officers. The research indicates that the subjects have different perspectives about entrance screening requisites. Parents and teachers more value the student record that is a countable indicator than the letter of self-recommendation that is a uncountable indicator. However, it also indicates that admission officers take attitude against parents and teachers.

  • 최근, 시장환경 및 생산구조의 변화에 따라 이른바 첨단생산기술(advanced manufacturing technologies)의 개발과 활용이 산업계 및 학계의 큰 관심을 끌고 있다. 그러나 첨단생산기술의 급속한 기술적 발전과 전략적 가치의 증가에도 불구하고 산업에의 확산은 상대적으로 부진한 현실이다. 이러한 현상은 물론 초기 투자의 재원도달 문제에 기인한다고 말할 수 있지만 일차적으로는 적절한 대안을 선정하고 투자의 정당성을 분석하는 방법론의 미비도 그 원인으로 지적되고 있다. 본 고는 전통적(conventional) 생산기술과 비교한 첨단생산기술과 비교한 첨단생산기술의 특성에 대한 이해를 기초로, 새로운 기술대안들을 비교 분석하는 구체적인 기법의 개발에 관한 접근의 방향성과 개념의 틀(framework)을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 첨단생산기술의 대안선정과 정당성분석은 다음과 몇 가지 특성을 지니고 있다. 첫째, 투자대안의 속성이 다양하며(multi-attribute) 각각의 속성이 상위 적(conflicting)일 수 있다. 둘째, 기술대안들의 잠재적 기능이 생산체제의 신축성과 유연성(flexible)의 제고를 강조하고 있다. 셋째, 개별기술의 통합을 통해 시스템 전체의 상승효과(synergy effect)를 추구하고 있다. 따라서 이러한 특성에 대한 인식을 토대로 정량적이고 전략적인 장·단점에 대한 고려를 포함하는 종합적이고 객관적인 분석의 틀과 기법이 사용되지 않으면 첨단생산기술의 성공적인 도입과 활용은 기대하기 어려운 것이다. 새로운 생산기술의 도입이 공정의 부분적 개선을 위한 소규모 투자일 경우에는 경제성의 분석을 위해서는 전통적인 재무관리(capital budgeting) 기법들이 이용될 수 있고 직접적인 공정개선의 효과분석을 위해서는 시뮬레이션을 적용하는 것이 바람직하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 기술대안의 규모가 크고 따라서 그 파급효과가 전체공정으로 확산되는 대규모 사업일 경우에는 다양한 장·단점들을 고려하는 종합적인 접근의 틀이 필요하게 된다. 이러한 방법들을 크게 세 가지 형태로 나누어 보면 (1) 모든 대안들에 대해, 모든 요소들에 관한 비교분석을 동시에 실시하는 동시적 접근(simultaneous approach), (2) 대안 또는 요소들을 그 성격에 따라 계층적 구조로 분할하고 단계별로 비교분석을 실시하는 계층적 접근(hierarchical approach), (3) 요소들을 속성에 따라 몇 개의 소그룹으로 나누고 각 그룹에 대해 순차적으로 대안들을 비교분석 함으로써 고려대상이 되는 대안들을 줄여나가는 순차적 접근(sequtial approach)등을 들 수 있다 이러한 접근법들의 장·단점들을 사업의 규모나 복잡성에 따라 달라지게 된다. 또한 동일한 접근방법 내에서도 구체적인 기법의 선택과 개발도 문제의 특성에 따라 달리 결정되어야 한다. 그러나 어떠한 경우에도 오늘날의 첨단생산기술에의 투자는 현금의 흐름에 대한 계량적 분석에만 의존하는 전통적인 기법만으로는 불충분하며 기업목표와 생산조직 전반에 관한 전략적 요소들을 포함하는 종합적인 접근이 바람직하다.

재난대응 최적의 In-house Operation: 문제의 방법론에 대한 문헌 조사 및 분석

  • 본 논문에서는 지난 60여 년간의 병원 내(In-house) 프로세스, 그리고 그 안에서의 재난대응과 관련하여 진행 된 연구들을 살펴보고자 한다. 특히, 경영과학 및 계량분석 분야에서 다양하게 다루어진 분야를 크게 1) Planing, 2) Scheduling, 3) Process Design & Patient Flow의 세 가지로 나누어보고, 각 분야에서 지금까지 진행 된 연구들을 소개한다. 조사 결과, 국내 연구 중에는 국내 실정에 맞춘 연구가 부족하고, 또 최근 다양한 학문 분야에서 필요성이 부각 되고 있는 재난대응이 병원 내 프로세스와 밀접한 관련이 있음에도 불구하고 재난대응과 관련된 병원 내 프로세스에 관한 연구는 아직 전반적으로 초기단계에 있음을 발견했다. 마지막으로, 앞으로의 연구방향을 제시하고 향후 연구를 위해 관련 자료를 찾을 수 있는 몇 가지 출발점을 제안한다.
