In North Korea, where there was little external activity, the number of overseas academic paper publications has recently increased. This study aims to quantitatively analyze North Korean papers published abroad to identify changes in North Korea's research and development trends, and to explore the possibility of developing them through joint research with domestic researchers in the future. To this end, since 1986, frequency analysis and network analysis have been conducted on papers published overseas including North Korean researchers. The analysis was conducted on authors, research institutes, countries, and research fields, and changes were analyzed before and after Kim Jong-un took office. According to the results of the analysis, as the number of foreign papers published rapidly increased during the eight years after Kim Jong-un took office, the composition of the top researchers, research institutes, and researchers with high influence in joint research also changed a lot. After Kim Jong-un came to power, the proportion of North Korean researchers and research institutes increased relatively, and a network component was formed between researchers with high influence on joint research, so it was observed that they focused on specific research topics. It was found that the major foreign collaborators or research institutes of North Korean researchers were from China.

This study conducted time-series analysis on domestic studies related to entrepreneurship for more than last 50 years by integrating the co-word analysis method of intellectual structure analysis into the study of entrepreneurship. The co-word analysis method is a quantitative analysis method to analyze the overall trend of the study and further study topics by visualizing the information between study topics and arranging the topics on two-dimensional plane and the study result showed largely four phases and the direction of the study path. According to the analysis, the study is started at embryonic study phase(third quadrant), the study topic of independent study phase(second quadrant) is a phase to be a settled independent area as a study and the topics of the study include topics of the study reflecting the situation of the times. At growing study phase(first quadrant) study topics which are closely related to the study topic are arranged, and the topics, the center of the study, are positioned at the study topics of maturity phase(4th quadrant).

The goal of this study is to investigate the domestic and international research trends on metaverse related researches. To achieve this goal, a set of 913 journal articles were collected from KCI (Korea Citation Index), 232 articles from WoS (Web of Science), and 277 articles from WoS-CPCI (Conference Proceeding Citation Index). A descriptive analysis shows the number of researches has been increased radically, and the mostly researched subject areas are interdisciplinary, computer science, and education in KCI, business and economics in WoS, and computer science in WoS-CPCI. The co-occurrence network analysis using author keywords revealed that technology related terms such as virtual reality and augmented reality showed high centrality measures in all of the databases, and the cluster analysis resulted in education and metaverse platform related keywords cluster from KCI, bibliometric analysis related keywords cluster from WoS, and all the metaverse technology related keywords cluster from WoS-CPCI.

Electronic publications, including e-journals, show a rapid expansion due to its several advantages for the academic and research community. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of e-journals on scholarly communication. The impact factors and immediacy indices were provided via JCR social science edition have been used to conduct a series of analysis on three subject fields, economics, law and psychology. The data from the last eight years show that the impact factors of e-journals have not changed, but immediacy indices have intensely increased in recent two years. Significant increase of immediacy indices is probably due to prevalence of e-journals or electronic sources of articles. The result reveals that e-journals play an important role in speeding up the scholarly communication. It is expected that the findings of this study can contribute to more efficient management of the digital libraries.

This research aims to propose a systematic approach to identify emerging technology-product portfolio for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Firstly, operational definition of emerging technology for SMEs is presented. Secondly, research framework is suggested and case study to show usefulness of the newly proposed framwork is analyzed. In detail, reference patent set which represent company's capabilities and business area are constructed. The research constructs patent data set for bibliometric analysis using reference patent set and citing patents to 2nd level. Clustering (expert judgement) and keyword based bibliometric approach are used. Then, cluster activity index (AI) and relevance index (RI) comparing with reference patent set are estimated. With emerging technology-product portfolio using AI and RI, a firm can identify emerging technology-product area and monitoring area.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the research fields constituting the knowledge structure of the Korean Studies by applying hierarchical clustering method to domestic journal papers in Korean Studies. We analyzed 3,800 papers containing Korean author keyword that were listed in 14 kinds of Korean Studies journals published in 2004-2013, which have average impact factor more than 0.5 in 2011-2013. The results of the analysis show that the central research fields are the subjects related to political & social problems based on Confucian ideas focusing on Neo-Confucianism (Seonglihak) and Realist School of Confucianism (Silhak), to the political situation associated with territorial division of the Korean peninsula, and to the history from the period of japanese colonialism to modern and contemporary. It has been also found that the temporal backgrounds of researches in domestic Korean Studies were related to the modern times and the Joseon Dynasty periods, rather than the time of the ancient and contemporary.

승자독식(Winner Takes All)이라는 글로벌 경쟁원리로 인해 세계 주요 국가들 사이에 R&D 경쟁이 갈수록 치열해지고 있다. 이에 우리나라에서도 R&D 지원 확대 및 다양한 정책기획 활동 등이 전개되었다. 이러한 노력에도 불구하구 국가 차원에서 기획 및 정책조정이 효과적으로 추진되지 못하고 있으며, 국가연구개발사업 차원에서는 "기획의 양척 과다와 질적 부실"이라는 비판이 제기되고 있다. 반면에 기술 융복합화의 가속화 등 R&D 환경의 불확실성은 더욱 높아졌으며 국가연구개발사업의 규모 증가와 함께 연구기획의 복잡성은 더욱 더 높아졌다. 최근에는 국가 차원의 비전수립과 중장기 정책기획에 기초하여 사업기획과 과제기획을 연계 수행하는 등 기획을 통해 과제를 도출하는 하향식 접근이 강조되면서 기획의 중요성은 더욱 커졌다. 최근 연구기획의 새로운 기법으로서 정보분석 방법론(Information Analysis Method)이 대두되고 있다. 국가연구개발사업의 효율적 기획을 위하여 기존 기술기획 위원회(Peer Review) 방식 외에 정보분석 방법론을 통한 보완이 필요하다. 본고의 목적 크게 두 가지로 설명할 수 있다. 첫째, 현재 진행되고 있는 연구기획 및 연구기획 방법론으로 기장 많이 활용되고 있는 전문가 위원회의 한계를 제시하였다. 둘째, 최근 대두되고 있는 정보분석 방법론과 정보분석 시스템 구축, 그리고 이를 활용한 10대 기술(반도체, 디스플레이, 디지털 망원전파, 이동통신, BcN, 차세대 컴퓨팅, SW솔류션, 디지털콘텐츠, 임베디드 SW, 지식정보보안)에 대한 유망기술 발굴 실증분석을 실시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to provide an in-depth analysis on the publication patterns of the 1,029 journal articles by the Life Sciences' faculty at the K University, for the years 2004-2017 and to investigate any difference between their publication patterns and the citedness for the years 2004-2018. Among the three funding agency types, the research publications supported by foreign funding received the more citations than publications by other types of funding, and the study also found a statistical difference in the citedness (F = 10.467, p < .000***). In addition, the internationally co-authored publications received more citations than three other types of co-authored publications in terms of the immediacy index per publication and the average citations per publication.

The purpose of this study is investigate the research trend on digital humanities. Previous studies focused on analyzing representative cases and national policies, not overall research trends in the digital humanities field. To this problem, this study intends to identify the intellectual structure of the digital humanities by adopting bibliometric approach. In this study, 1,765 articles retrieved from Web of Science and 514 records from RISS were analyzed to investigate research trends. Structural topic models were applied to examine research topics and to grasp the time-series trend. The results show that humanities-based convergence studies and digitization were main research interests in both side. In Korea, research topics related to cultural contents and storytelling were prominent, while in terms of providing digitized data, library and information science field was one of the important research topic abroad.

The purpose of this study is to analyze cooperative relationship and information needs using the interlibrary loan (ILL) service data of the academic libraries. This study interprets the ILL service data as information source that including unsolved information problems. Also, this study normalizes the ILL service data using the collaboration index. The results of this study have three aspects. First, col hs-index can be useful tool for analyzing ILL service relationship between different sizes of libraries. Second, this study find out the information needs and the collection characteristics of each library after analyzing ILL data by subjects. Third, by applying col hs-index, we could analysis more objective ILL data and found out possibility of bibliographic index.
