The Effect of Temperature and Exposure Time on UV-curing of Urethane Acrylate (UV 챔버 내부 온도 및 체류시간이 Urethane Acrylate의 경화속도에 미치는 영향)

  • We have studied the effect of temperature and exposure time on the UV curing rate of Urethane Acrylate. UV dose has been modulated by changing the electric power, and temperature has been controled by coating rate and water temperature of the coating roll. Curing rate was evaluated by measuring gel fraction of the cured film. It has been found that effect of coating velocity on the gel fraction of the final film is predominant, but role of temperature of the UV chamber is negligible. These observations imply that exposure time of UV light is critical to have a fully cured film. To better understand the effect of design and operating condition of UV coater on the behavior of UV curing of Urethane Acrylate, we have also conducted heat-flux analysis of UV chamber.

Mechanical Properties and Stress-Strain Model of Re-Bars Coldly Bent and Straightened (굽힌 후 편 철근의 기계적 성질과 응력-변형률 모델)

  • In the construction of high-rise buildings, bent re-bars are manually straightened to connect slabs to core-walls, which are usually cast before floor structures. During cold bending and straightening of re-bars, plastic deformation causing work hardening, Bauschinger effect and aging hardening is unavoidable. Tensile tests of coldly bent and straightened re-bars were conducted with test parameters of grade, diameter, and bend radius of re-bars as well as age between bending and straightening. Test results showed that proportional limits were lower and strain hardening occurred without yield plateaus. Inside and outside of re-bars with compression and tension deformations, respectively, during bending showed lower yield points due to Bauschinger effect and no yield plateaus due to work hardening, respectively. When re-bar grade was higher, yield point became significantly lower where Grade 400 re-bars had yield strengths lower than specified yield strength of 400 MPa. Because the surface of re-bar has higher strength than the core of re-bar, Bauschinger effect was more obvious for higher-grade re-bars. When age between bending and straightening was greater, yield strength increased and elongation decreased (i.e. embrittlement occurs). Using measured data, stress-strain relationship for straightened re-bars was developed based on Ramberg-Osgood model, which can be used to evaluate stiffness of joints when straightened re-bars are applied.

  • 고강도 알루미늄합금은 중량이 가벼우면서 인장강도와 항복강도가 높고 가공성, 성형성이 좋아 항공기, 자동차, 선박 등 수송용 재료로 각광을 받고 있으며, 이 중 Al-Zn-Mg계(7000계) 알루미늄 합금은 용접 구조물용 경량소재로 활용범위가 높다. Al-Zn-Mg계 알루미늄 합금은 고온에서 용체화 처리후 저온으로 급냉시킨 재료를 자연시효 또는 인공시효처리를 하여 이 때 석출되는 시효 석출물에 의해 강도를 증가시킨 석출 경화형 합금이다. 그런데, 7000계열 알루미늄합금은 적절한 열처리 작업을 통해 최적의 기계적 성질이 얻어지도록 합금설계가 되어있기 때문에 구조물 제작시 용접에 의한 ARC 열을 받게 되면 열이력(thermal cycle)에 의해 모재의 미세조직이 변화하고 용접 결함이 발생하며 강도의 약화와 함께 내식성 등이 저하한다. 따라서 고강도 알루미늄합금의 용접성을 향상시키기 위해서는 용접부의 미세조직거동과 용접부에 발생하는 용접결함의 현상을 조사하여 용접용 고강도 합금에 필수적으로 요구되는 용접성에 대한 검토가 충분히 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 본 고에서는 알루미늄합금, 특히 7000계열 알루미늄합금에 주목하여, 용접방법, 각종 결함과 대책, 용접부의 시효경화와 응력부식균열 및 기계적 성질 등을 지금까지 보고된 각종 자료를 기초로 하여 3회에 걸쳐 기술하고자 한다.

  • 위와 같은 결과로부터 개인마다 다르게 형성되는 혈관의 형상이 혈류역학적 특성을 변화시켜 동맥경화의 발생에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 즉, 동일한 관상동맥일지라도 기하학적 형태변화에 따라 좌주간지의 길이가 짧을수록, 좌전하행지와 좌회선지의 분지부 각도가 넓을수록, 동맥경화의 발생이 용이한 형태가 되는데, 이로 미루어 혈관의 형상이 혈류의 유동조건을 변화시켜 혈관내피세포의 손상, 혈류의 정체시간 연장 등으로 나타나 동맥경화가 발생되는 인자가 된다.

  • Ballast track requires constant maintenance work due to progress of track irregularity. Fast Hardening Track(FHT) has been developed to reduce the maintenance effort done by injecting fast hardening mortar in aged ballast to convert slab track. For the application of FHT to a railway bridge, post-installed anchors should be placed at center of the track segment to fix it on bridge. This paper presents track-bridge interaction analysis results with FHT considering stiffness and strength of post-installed anchor, age of FHT concrete and friction between FHT and bridge deck surface. Based on the analysis results, this study suggests when is good to install the anchors and allow normal operation of passing train.

In order to cure the surface of the test piece after the rough grinding and fine grinding was performed in order polishing. Perform the surface hardening of STS420J2 local area by using a diode laser. The output of the laser diode and the feed rate to the process variable. Micro-hardness testing, microstructure testing, scanning electron microscope testing(SEM), the heat input to the analysis. After analyzing the experiment to compare the mechanical properties of the material. When using a diode laser to assess the soundness of the surface hardening. Accordingly, the process for deriving the optimum demonstrate the feasibility.

  • Optimum conditions for UV-radiated photopolymerization of unsaturated polyester that could be used as protecting layer of large diameter pipe were investigated in this paper. UV photopolymerization method was selected to solve the problems, arising when thermal polymerization by organic peroxide was used, such as the instability of peroxide initiator, the evolution of volatile organic compound, and thermal deformation of product. Two of the photo-initiators (Irgacure 819 and Darocure 1173) well known for its penetrating ability deep into the polymer layer were selected, and the optimum conditions for photopolymerization (1.5 phr initiator content, 1:1.2 initiator ratio, Ga lamp for UV source) were found from the thermal and mechanical test results of the resultant UP polymers. In addition, composite materials containing UP polymer and glass fiber were tested for hardness, impact strength, and flexural strength to find that the impact strength of composite significantly improved.
