A Study on the Development of an Assessment Index for Selecting Start-ups on Balanced Scorecard (균형성과표(BSC) 기반 창업기업 선정평가지표 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an assessment index for the selection of promising start-ups, which will enhance the efficiency of program that support start-ups. In order to develop assessment models for selecting start-ups, three major research steps were conducted. First, this study attempted to theoretically redefine the assessment index from the perspective of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) through a literature review. Second, major assessment index were derived using Delphi technique for experts in start-up areas. Third, weights were derived by applying AHP technique to calculate the importance of each index. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, this study attempted to apply the assessment model for selecting start-ups from the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) view through the previous study review. Second, the final major questions were derived with sufficient opinions collected and structured survey of leading start-up experts in areas related to research subjects and elicited the most representative questions. Third, the results of applying the weights of the main selected assessment index, commercialization viewpoint is the most priority, followed by market view, technology development viewpoint, and organizational capability viewpoint. In the middle section, th ability to make products in the commercialization viewpoint, market competitiveness in the market, product discrimination capacity in the technology development perspective, and the ability of the entrepreneur in the organizational capacity perspective were important. Overall important items were found to be in the order of the capabilities of entrepreneurs, market competitiveness, product fire capability, and product discrimination. The importance of small items was highest priority for comparative excellence of competing products, and the degree of marketability, capacity of entrepreneurship, ability to raise capital, desire for entrepreneurship, and passion were shown. The results of this study presented a conceptual alternative to the preceding study on the development of existing selection assessment indexes. And it provides meaningful and important implications as an attempt to develop more sophisticated indicators by overcoming the limitations of empirical research on only some of the evaluation metrics.

A Correlation Analysis between International Oil Price Fluctuations and Overseas Construction Order Volumes using Statistical Data (통계 데이터를 활용한 국제 유가와 해외건설 수주액의 상관성 분석)

  • This study investigates the impact of international oil price fluctuations on overseas construction orders secured by domestic and foreign companies. The analysis employs statistical data spanning the past 20 years, encompassing international oil prices, overseas construction orders from domestic firms, and new overseas construction orders from the top 250 global construction companies. The correlation between these variables is assessed using correlation coefficients(R), determination coefficients(R2), and p-values. The results indicate a strong positive correlation between international oil prices and overseas construction orders. The correlation coefficient between domestic overseas construction orders and oil prices is found to be 0.8 or higher, signifying a significant influence. Similarly, a high correlation coefficient of 0.76 is observed between oil prices and new orders from leading global construction companies. Further analysis reveals a particularly strong correlation between oil prices and overseas construction orders in Asia and the Middle East, potentially due to the prevalence of oil-related projects in these regions. Additionally, a high correlation is observed between oil prices and orders for industrial facilities compared to architectural projects. This suggests an increase in plant construction volumes driven by fluctuations in oil prices. Based on these findings, the study proposes an entry strategy for navigating oil price volatility and maintaining competitiveness in the overseas construction market. Key recommendations include diversifying project locations and supplier bases; utilizing hedging techniques for exchange rate risk management, adapting to local infrastructure and market conditions, establishing local partnerships and securing skilled local labor, implementing technological innovations and digitization at construction sites to enhance productivity and cost reduction The insights gained from this study, coupled with the proposed overseas expansion strategies, offer valuable guidance for mitigating risks in the global construction market and fostering resilience in response to international oil price fluctuations. This approach is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic and foreign construction firms seeking success in the international arena.

A Study on the Measuring Model of Productivity Using DEA in Container Terminal (DEA 기법을 활용한 컨테이너터미널 생산성 측정에 관한 연구)

  • In order to strengthen the competitiveness of port against calling for the huge vessel and reducing the shipping service time, the productivity of container terminal must be improved. This productivity variously results according to the kinds of productivity evaluation model, input elements like yard, equipment, employee, facility, etc,. But, it is discussed that the productivity is measured by partial productivity evaluation model or general input elements. Therefore, we measured for the productivity of the container terminal using the Developed the data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which is developed in order to evaluate the relative efficiency of decision making units - it's difficult to clear cause and effect between input and output. We measured the whole productivity of container terminal in Busan according to decision of the correct input elements. And we investigated the change of the productivity measurement result according to input elements, presents more accurate productivity evaluation model in container terminal.

  • The CRM(Customer Relationship Management) is the business strategy model for higher profits and competitive power of the enterprise in a new business environment. The large-scale customer response service technique uses internet, e-mail, SMS (Short Message Service), Telephony service, DM(Direct Mail) by customer channel point. Recently, business model diversify for new contract and retaining existing customer to the effort for a profitable model of business. This paper is based on Avaya PDS(Predictive Dialing System) model for CRM bond center. If the number of "available" agents are less than the number of inbound channels, then there may be real-time response problems in PDS system implemented. The Organization cannot afford to have many agents in available mode because of the high cost of manpower. This paper provides two contributions to the study. First, we present Call Object Management Mechanism of Customer Channel integration for reduce outbound consulting and reduce CallBack data in the PDS. Second, we design and implement the proposed system. Our simulation results show analysis of old model and proposed model. The proposed model can be efficiently used in Large-scale CRM.

A Priority Analysis of Equipment Operation Plan for Container Terminal in Gwangyang Port (광양항 컨테이너터미널의 장비 작업계획 우선순위 분석)

  • This paper is concerned about applying the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) for a priority analysis of equipment operation plan to improve productivity of the container terminal in Gwangyang port. In this study, main elements of container terminal are assumed as into yard equipment area, transport equipment area, berth equipment area and C/Center area. A questionnaire is used to collect the opinions of equipment operating department and operational planning department. On the whole, the result of the analyses reveals that the most important area is yard equipment area. Examining each department is responses, equipment operating department preferred the C/Center area to other areas, on the other hand, operational planning department preferred yard equipment area. The result of this study suggests some guidelines for deciding priority of operation plan in the container terminal.

광학 분석 시스템용 수.발광 소자 집적 모듈 개발

  • 본 발표에서는 광학적 분석 시스템에 적용 가능한 발광소자(광원)과 수광소자(광센서)를 집적화시키는 모듈(수 발광 집적모듈) 기술을 제시하고자 한다. 이러한 수-발광 집적모듈은 다양한 응용 분야에 적용 될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 광신호 감지를 위한 광통신용 송-수신 모듈(optical communication), 의료/진단 분야에서 단백질/DNA/박테리아 등의 검출 및 분석에 관한 바이오 센서(bio-sensor), 그리고 대기(가스)/수질 모니터링에 관한 환경센서 등 매우 광범위한 분야에 해당되는 요소 기술이라 할 수 있다. 특히, 이들 분야들 중 바이오 물질을 분석하고 검출하는 광학적 바이오 센서 기술은 높은 경제적 가치와 산업적 성장 잠재력으로 인해 오랫동안 활발한 연구가 진행되어 오고 있다. 이러한 광학적 바이오 센서에서 가장 범용적인 방법 중 하나가 항온-항체 면역반응을 기반으로 하는 형광 검출(fluorescence detection) 기법이다. 이러한 시스템은 전체적으로 광원, 광학계, 그리고 센서로 구성되는데 기존에 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 형광 현미경의 경우는 민감도가 우수하다는 장점은 있으나 상당히 고가이고 부피가 크며 복잡한 광학구성으로 이루어져 있다는 한계점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 고민감도를 확보하면서 휴대성, 고속처리, 저가 등의 특성을 가진 시스템에 대한 요구가 갈수록 증가하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위한 핵심기술 중의 하나가 수-발광 부분을 집적화 시키는 기술이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 바이오 센서 기술의 하나로서 형광을 측정하여 혈액내의 진단 지표인자를 검출할 수 있는 휴대용 혈액진단기기에 적용되는 소형 수 발광 집적 모듈을 개발하였다. 혈액내의 검출 성분의 양에 따라 형광의 세기가 변화하게 됨으로써 정량적인 검출이 가능한 원리이다. 모듈의 구조는 크게 광원(발광소자), 광학계, 그리고 광센서(수광소자) 세 영역으로 나누어 진다. 광원은 635 nm 적색 레이저다이오드로서 형광체(Alexa Fluor 647/발광파장: 668 nm)를 여기 시키는 기능을 하며 장착된 볼렌즈 의해 샘플의 형광체 영역으로 집광된다. 광학계는 크게 시준렌즈(collimating lens)와 광학필터로 구성됨으로써 샘플로부터 발생되는 광을 적절하게 수광소자로 전달하는 기능을 하게 된다. 여기서 광학필터의 경우는 기본적으로 Distributed Bragg's Reflector(DBR) 구조로써 실리콘(Si) 포토다이오드 상부에 모노리식(monolithic)하게 형성되며 검출 샘플로부터 진행되는 레이저 광(잡음의 주원인)은 차단하고 형광(광신호)만 통과 시키는 기능을 하게 된다. 따라서 신호 대 잡음비(S/N ratio)를 향상시키기 위해서는 정밀한 광 필터링 기능이 요구됨으로써 박막의 세밀한 공정 조건과 구조적-광학적 특성 분석이 수행되었다. 마지막으로 포토다이오드 소자는 일반적인 구조 이외에 중앙에 원형 구멍이 형성된 특별한 구조가 적용된다. 이것은 포토다이오드 구조에 변화를 줌으로써 모듈 구조를 효율적으로 응용할 수 있다는 의미를 갖는다. 또한 포토다이오드의 전기적-광학적 측정 분석을 통해 잡음 및 감도 특성이 세부적으로 조사되며 형광신호를 효과적으로 측정할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 최종적으로 제작된 모듈은 약 $1{\times}1{\times}1cm^3$ 내외 정도의 크기를 갖는다. 요약하자면 본 발표에서는 광학적 바이오센서에 적용할 수 있는 소형 수-발광 소자 집적모듈을 소개한다. 전체 모듈 설계는 최소한의 부피를 가짐과 동시에 측정의 정밀성을 향상시키는데 초점을 맞추어 진행하였다. 세부요소인 광학필터와 포트다이오드의 경우 잡음 및 민감도에 미치는 중요성 때문에 세밀한 공정 및 특성분석이 수행되었다. 결론적으로 독자적인 설계 및 공정을 통해 휴대성 및 정밀성 등의 목적에 부합한 경쟁력 있는 수-발광 소자 집적모듈 제작 기술을 확보하였다.

Vegetation Structure of the Bulguksa Buddhist Temple Forest in the Gyeongju National Park (경주국립공원 불국사 사찰림의 식생구조)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the vegetation structure of Bulguksa around Buddhist Temple Forest in the Gyeongju National Park. To do so, forty-two plots($100m^2$) were set up and surveyed. The surveyed plots were divided into four groups according to the analysis of classification by TWINSPAN; (I) Pinus densiflora-Pinus koraiensis community, (II) Pinus densiflora community, (III) Pinus densiflora-Acer palmatum community, (IV) Acer palmatum-Pinus densiflora community. The results of vegetation structure analysis were; Bulguksa around Buddhist Temple Forest in the Gyeongju National Park were dominated by Pinus densiflora. IV community, influx of Acer palmatum in Pinus densiflora community, Acer palmatum-Pinus densiflora community are believed to be a change to the community. But, recent spontaneously is growing Quercus variabilis, Quercus aliena, Quercus serrata, Quercus mongolica in understory and shrub layer. Later, it is expected that Pinus densiflora competition. The forest vegetation age of the study area is Pinus densiflora were dominant trees in forest was 30~100 years, old while that of Acer palmatum was 30~36 years old.

Classification of Performance Types for Knowledge Intensive Service Supporting SMEs Using Clustering Techniques: Focused on the Case of K Research Institute (클러스터링 기법을 활용한 중소기업 지원 지식서비스의 성과유형 분류: K 연구원 사례를 중심으로)

  • In recent years, many small and medium-sized manufacturing companies are making process innovation and product innovation through the public knowledge services. K Research institute provides different types of knowledge services in combination and due to this complexity, it is difficult to analyze the performance of knowledge service programs precisely. In this study, we derived performance items from bottom-up viewpoints, rather than top-down approaches selecting those items as in previous performance analysis. As a result, 74 items were finded from 82 companies in the K Research Institute case book, and the final result was refined to 17 items. After that a case-performance matrix was constructed, and binary data was entered to analyze. As a result, three clusters were identified through K-means clustering as 'enhancement of core competitiveness (product and patent),' 'expansion of domestic and overseas market,' and 'improvement of operational efficiency.'

The Status of e-Business in Korea Forest Product Industries (한국목재산업에 있어 e-Business의 활용)

  • This study was carried out to examine the e-Business status of Korea Forest Product Industries and to propose the development. The use level of e-Business in korea forest product industries have stayed in internal company information network integration stages. But lots of companies located in the insufficient of e-Business models, the lack of qualified staffs, and the shortage of e-Business operating technology and implementation. As the result of this study, the followings must be considered; 1. For the promotion of e-Business use, it is needed to maintain price competitiveness, quality competitiveness, and market correspondence capacity. 2. For the settlement of e-Business models, it is important to connect information network among cooperation companies as like forest products standardize, common database, and standard electronic catalogue. Also, it needed developing program to strengthen the competitiveness of forest product industries, expanding to outsourcing and affiliated companies.

  • For the success of the DMB market to meet consumers' demands for Ubiquitous Media and strengthen the nation's competitiveness, it's inevitable for us to activate DMB advertising as of main profit source for DMB Media, and to develop various types of DMB advertising which are linked to the profit model. So I'd like to look over the various types of DMB advertising which are suitable for DMB features as one of the efforts to activate DMB advertising. First of all, I've figured out what kinds of advertising are available for new media and which related technologies are required for DMB media. Through this research, I could find out what features of new media such as cable broadcasting, Internet and Mobile have become the source of developing various types of advertising and how to a great part to activate new media advertising markets by making the best use of their media features. This research also shows that DMB advertising has the high potential to be developed in various and effective types and kinds of advertising with its media feature and technological feature. This research observing DMB advertising cases showed that DMB advertising can be divided into 6 types such as forms, purposes, techniques, advertising positions, the use of LBS(Location Based Service), coupons and it could be developed into various kinds of DMB advertising dependent on each type. On the other hands, it would be great to have continual researches and follow-ups for various types of DMB advertising and the verification of the effectiveness for DMB advertising by performing potential DMB advertising.
