  • This paper is to outline a methodology for establishing the fair market value of knowledge assets that may be associated with a going-concern business enterprise and identify the elements of knowledge assets and provide the basic concepts for valuing thorn Within this contort we will identify the nature of some of the more common or well-know forms of knowledge assets, discuss the normal relationship of these forms of knowledge assets to the monetary and tangible assets of a business enterprise from an investor's perspective.

  • 정보기술의 개발 및 도입을 위하여 많은 투자가 이루어지고 있으나 IT가치평가의 독특성과 IT가치의 다양성으로 계량적이고 객관적인 IT가치평가가 용이하지 않다. 이 연구에서는 IT의 가치를 평가하고 IT가치전략을 분석하기 위한 새로운 IT가치평가방법을 제시하고자 한다. 이 방법론은 경영 전반의 관리 및 성과 평가를 위한 Balanced Scorecard(이하 BSC)의 평가요소를 이용해 새로운 프레임워크를 제시함으로써 가능하다.

플랫폼 비즈니스 기업에 대한 투자결정요인에 관한 연구

  • 플랫폼은 산업 전반에 걸쳐 막강한 영향력을 행사하며 비즈니스 생태계를 변화시키고 있다, 이러한 변화의 흐름에 따라서 플랫폼 기업의 가치가 빠르게 상승하고 있으며 좋은 플랫폼 기업을 발굴하여 육성하는 것이 곧 국가경쟁력 향상으로 이어지고 있다. 플랫폼 비즈니스 기반의 기업은 플랫폼 특성인 네트워크 효과와 수확체증 현상이 영향력을 발휘하기 전인 사업 초기에는 충분한 수익 발생이 어렵고 승자독식의 산업구조로 인해 치열한 선두 경쟁을 강요받고 있기에 기업 성장을 위해서는 투자유치를 통한 자금을 확보할 필요성이 있다. 본 연구는 플랫폼 비즈니스 기반의 기업에 대한 투자자의 투자결정요인을 도출하고 각 요인 간의 중요도 차이를 분석하여 투자를 준비하는 플랫폼 기업에게 투자자의 관점을 이해하고 사업을 검토하는 데 참고할 수 있는 시사점을 제시하여 플랫폼 기업의 투자유치 성공률을 제고 및 플랫폼 생태계 활성화를 목적으로 하고 있다. 투자자의 투자결정요인과 플랫폼 가치평가에 관한 선행연구를 바탕으로 플랫폼 기업에 적합한 14가지의 투자결정요인을 도출한 뒤 계층화를 통해 플랫폼, 시장, 창업자/팀, 재무, 제품/서비스의 5가지 주요 요인을 선정했으며 투자자를 대상으로 AHP 분석기법을 활용한 1:1 쌍대비교 설문을 진행하였다. 연구 결과 가장 높은 중요도를 나타내는 요인은 플랫폼 특성으로 확인되었으며, 이는 본 연구에서 선정한 플랫폼 특성인 플랫폼 규모, 핵심 참여집단 확보 여부, 가치 고착 용이성, 확보한 데이터 가치가 플랫폼 기업의 가치평가에 적절하다는 것을 시사한다. 추가로 플랫폼 기업에 대한 투자경험 유무로 그룹을 나누어 중요도를 비교한 결과 플랫폼에 투자한 투자자가 그렇지 않은 투자자에 비하여 플랫폼 기업이 확보한 데이터 가치에 대해 높은 중요도를 두고 있다는 것을 확인했다.

Barriers Causing the Value Gap between Expected and Realized Value in IS Investment: SCM/ERP/CRM (정보시스템 투자 전후 가치 격차 유발 장애요인: 탐색적 사례연구)

  • Many organizations experience that the value they gained from IT (information technology) investment is lower than they expected prior to the actual implementation of a system - the value gap between expected value and realized value from IT. Research on the barriers to the expectation and realization is of high importance both in practice and in IS research. This study analyzed such barriers observed in three companies that have adopted such IT systems as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems each. From analyses of the three companies we specifically identified eight types of barriers: barriers related to industry, organization, knowledge, resource, usage, competence, product, and safety. Common barriers among the three cases were classified into six types, e.g. lack of strategic mind-set, improper organizational structure, lack of human resource, etc. We expect that the results help managers in IS investment to minimize the valuation gap and maximize realized values.

The Segmentation of Value System Used by LOV (LOV를 이용한 가치(價値)시스템 세분화(細分化))

  • The purpose of this study is to survey the LOV(List Of Values) composed with the consumer's psychographic variables and is to segment consumer's value system through the LOV. Referring to the previous studies such as Rokeach's RVS, Kahke's LOV, Razzaque's Asian values, and author's Korean values, this study conducted researches of consumer's value segmentation. The result of this study finds that the Korean consumer's value system is categorized into (1) value of influence, (2) value of mammonism, (3) value of latest, (4) value of venture, (5) value of salvation, (6) value of sociality, (7) value of curiosity, (8) spirituality, and (9) value of conservativeness in order. This results will help contribute toward segmentation of Korean consumer's value. Another result of this study shows by way of ANOVA(analysis of variance) that the Korean consumer's value dimensions are closely related to demographic variables: sex, marital status, education, occupation, total families income by monthly, family structure, and age.

An Analysis on the Impact of the Mobile Digital Divide on the Cognitive Value of the Mobile Internet (개인의 모바일 정보격차가 모바일 인터넷의 인지적 가치 차이에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • Despite the rapid increase in the use of mobile Internet, only a few studies examined digital divide issues in the mobile internet environment. Prior studies on digital divide mainly focused on the usage environments of consumers. The present study analyzes mobile digital divide by considering user environments and the cognitive values of users. Therefore, we estimated the cognitive value of users in mobile Internet environments through contingent valuation method (CVM). We also analyzed the digital divide factors that cause this value difference. We found that domestic users perceive mobile Internet value up to 51,723 Korean Won per month. We analyzed the value differences of digital divide factors, such as "accessibility," "competency," and "usability." Based on this analysis, we found that a difference of 31,878 Korean Won was generated due to accessibility. Competitiveness resulted in a difference of 7,736 Korean Won, whereas that of usability resulted in 6,463 Korean Won. Accessibility is the most important digital divide factor that maximizes the difference of cognitive value of users in a domestic mobile Internet environment.

A Study on the Impact of Financial Institutions' Creating Shared Value and Organizational Agility on Management Performance : Focusing on Social Capital (금융기관의 공유가치창출(CSV)과 조직민첩성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 연구 : 사회적자본 중심으로)

  • Research on the impact of the creating shared value (CSV) and organizational agility on management performance in research targeting financial institution workers is insufficient. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of CSV on business performance through social capital and the effect of organizational agility on business performance for employees of financial institutions. The results of the study are as follows. First, economic value had a positive effect on structural and relational capital, but social value had a positive effect on relational capital only. Second, organizational agility had a positive effect on financial and non-financial performance. Third, structural capital had a positive effect only on non-financial performance, and relational capital had a positive effect on financial and non-financial performance. In summarizing these findings, it was confirmed that although most of the variables had a positive effect, social value did not affect structural capital and structural capital did not affect financial performance. Based on such research results, the necessity of strengthening social value and structural capital was proposed to increase the management performance of financial institutions, and conclusions, implications, and future research directions were presented.

The Impact of Big Data Analytics Capabilities and Values on Business Performance (빅데이터 분석능력과 가치가 비즈니스 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the relationships between the analytics capability and value of big data and business performance for big data analysts of business organizations. The values that big data can bring were categorized into transactional value, strategic value, transformational value, and informational value, and we attempted to verify whether these values lead to business performance. Two hundred samples from employees with experience in big data analysis were collected and analyzed. The hypotheses were tested with a structural equation model, and the capability of big data analytics was found to have a significant effect on the value and business performance of big data. Among the big data values, transactional value, strategic value, and transformational value had a positive effect on business performance, but the impact of informational value has not been proven. The results of this study are expected to provide useful information to business organizations seeking to achieve business performance using big data.
