A Study on the Impact of Patent Quality on the Firm's Market Value (특허의 질적 가치가 기업의 시장가치에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • As corporate management enters the era of informatization or knowledge management, the level of patent quality, which is the fruit of R&D and technical innovation, is an important element of corporate competitiveness in this age of unbridled competition. This study analyzes the relevance between R&D stocks and 6 types of knowledge stock (patent quality) and corporate market values in utilization of related research models. With Tobin Q model utilized, 108,851 U.S. patents (observed value per year: 2,795) registered by 402 domestic enterprises were analyzed. As the Hall model was analyzed, it turned out that the R&D stock/asset, claim stock/patent stock, and citation stock/patent stock had positive effect on corporate market values. The inventor stock/patent stock also show positive effect on corporate market values.

  • Modern tourists prefer resorts with various facilities for health, leisure, sports, and cultural activities. The tourism industry strives to diversify entertainment programs to meet consumer needs. This study identifies servicescape as a primary competitive advantage and aims to propose effective marketing strategies and strategic insights to maximize tourists' perceived value and enhance satisfaction. To achieve this research objective, an online questionnaire survey was administered to customers with prior experience at the Atlantis Resort in Sanya, China, followed by statistical analysis using the SPSS 23.0 software. The findings indicate that servicescape, by providing optimal value to customers within the service industry, exhibits a positive correlation with customer satisfaction and constitutes a critical factor for the success of tourism enterprises.

The Effects of Characteristics of Mobile Coupon Service on Consumers' Intention of Using Mobile Coupons (모바일 쿠폰서비스의 특성이 소비자의 쿠폰이용의도에 미치는 영향과 자기해석의 조절효과에 관한 연구)

  • The recent economic recession and price rise reduces excessive consumption as a whole. So companies take more interest in and use discount coupons as a means of sales promotion to reinforce their competitiveness. The combination of Internet and mobile communication technology leads to an explosive increase in the use of mobile Internet service, which promotes commercialization of mobile coupons. Nevertheless, there are absolutely insufficient researches on mobile coupons than those on paper ones. In this context, this study tries to consider intention of accepting and using mobile coupons. The innovated Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used to see factors of using mobile coupons considered important by customers. Through the combination of characteristics of mobile coupon service and values obtained from mobile coupons, effects of variables to enhance intention of using mobile coupons were empirically analyzed. In particular, this study suggested importance of psychological as well as economic values of mobile coupons and emphasized good considerations of the psychological aspect, such as shame, stinginess, and reputation sensitivity, in using mobile coupons as an important factor for intention of using the coupons. Another empirical analysis was made of what moderating roles consumers' self-construalplayed in the effects of mobile coupon values perceived by consumers on intention of using coupons. As a result, immediate connectivity and situational provision among characteristics of mobile coupon service were found to affect ease and usability. It was also shown that perceived ease and usability had significant effects on both economic and psychological values, which then had significant effects on intention of using a mobile system. After testing moderating effects of self-construal, the degree of effects of perceived mobile coupon values on intention of using mobile coupons was greater among inter-dependent self-construal users than among independent ones. This study considered various schemes of improving intention to use mobile coupons and provided a foundation to help companies make a strategy for mobile coupons to be activated in the future.

  • Recently the environment which besieges distribution system is changing suddenly. With opening the distribution market together the advanced various nations new multinational discount stores are introduced and the competition from this market is growing in intensity. Like this change is raising the recognition of the enterprises against the strategy importance of the distribution channel. Consequently, from under competing which is deepened from the hazard where the discount point industry exists what, it will not be able to do the customer-oriented management which it sees. To lead a customer satisfaction finally and it is important to put out. As only low price standing sale it will not be able to create a competitive advantage and raising the quality also it is demanded with the diversification of product assortment together. It does a customer loyalty degree further firmly and compared to the long-range strategy is necessary.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between discretionary policy for minor shareholders and the firm value. It is assumed that the favorable dividend policy for minor shareholders would affect the firm value positively. The empirical results have indicated that the favorable dividend policy for minor shareholders has a positive affect on the firm value, also it show the proportion of inside equity holders and the proportion of management equity holders have significant effect on the firm value.

  • 1990년대 중반부터 소개되어 선진기업의 적용 성공사례가 제시되고 있는 지식경영은 21세기를 앞둔 모든 기업들의 관심사가 되고 있다. 지식경영은 지식의 가치를 새롭게 인식하여 조직전체에 지식중심의 경영혁신을 일으키는 경영철학이며 신 경영패러다임을 요구하는 지식사회에서 기업이 생존할 수 있는 유일한 방편이기도 하다. 본 논문에서는 21세기 패러다임의 변화를 분석하여 지식의 중요성과 신 패러다임에 지식경영이 적절한지 여부를 고찰하였고 지식경영 구현을 위한 지식관리시스템 구축 방법론을 제시하였다.

Impacts of Perceived Value and Trust on Intention to Continue Use of Individuals' Cloud Computing: The Perception of Value-based Adoption Model (클라우드 컴퓨팅의 지각된 가치와 신뢰가 지속적 사용의도에 미치는 영향: 가치기반수용모델을 기반으로)

  • Cloud computing is getting a lot of attention by many people and businesses due to IT environmental changes such as the proliferation of smart devices, the increase of digital data, and the cost of IT resources. More individuals use personal cloud computing services for storing and managing information and data. Therefore, this study proposed determinants that are expected to have an influence on evaluating the value of cloud computing based on the value-based adoption model, examining the relationship between the continuous use intention of cloud computing. Results of the study show that usefulness, convenience of information access, extensibility had a positive impact on perceived value while privacy concerns and costs had a negative impact on perceived value. In addition, perceived value was found to have a significant effect on the intention to continue use of cloud computing. Finally, trust was found to have a significant effect on the perceived value and the intention to continue use of cloud computing. The findings are expected to provide useful information for understanding the factors that individual users consider important in the steadily growing cloud computing market.

Optimal Forest Management for Improving Economic and Public Functions in Mt.Gari Leading Forest Management Zone (가리산 선도산림경영단지의 경제적·공익적 기능 증진을 위한 산림관리 최적화 방안)

  • This study analyzed the optimization method of forest management to enhance economic and public functions, as well as the interrelationship among timber production, carbon storage, and water conservation functions in Mt.Gari leading forest management zone. For these purposes, a forest management planning model was developed using Multi-Objective Linear Programming. The model had an objective function to maximize the total NPV (Net Present Value) of weighted timber production, carbon storage, water conservation, and constraints to limit the rate of change in timber production, percentage of each age-class and tree species area, percentage of conifers and broad-leaved trees area in each management zone, minimum timber production and timber sales amount. Based on the description of forest inventory and the comprehensive plan of Mt.Gari, we analyzed stand information and management constraints of the study area. We compared management alternatives using different weights in the objective function. Therefore, the total NPV was maximized in the alternative considering the three functions in equal proportion, rather than the alternatives of maximizing only one function. When all three functions were considered simultaneously, timber production offset the carbon storage and water conservation, and carbon storage and water conservation interacted synergistically. However, when considering only two of the three functions, all combinations of functions demonstrated tradeoffs with one other. Therefore, we discovered that by considering all three functions equally, rather than only one or two functions, the economic and public values of the study area can be maximized.
