Doppler Frequency Estimation Robust to Synchronization Error and Noise in FMT Systems (FMT 시스템에서 동기 오차와 잡음에 강인한 도플러 주파수 추정 기법)

  • Filtered multi-tone (FMT) is a form of multicarrier modulation utilizing frequency-domain equalization efficient in multi-path fading channels. Doppler frequency information can be employed for channel estimation and link adaptation to improve the performance. However, most previous studies have concentrated on the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) instead of FMT. Moreover, they have not considered the synchronization error that can commonly occur in practical systems. In this paper, we propose Doppler frequency estimation scheme that is effective in FMT systems with residual synchronization error and high noise levels.

  • Subway is used as a useful transportation method to solve the metropolitan traffic problem for its advantages of being not only accurate, safe and massive, but also of not producing any exhaustion gas in compare with the other ground transportation systems. However, noise inside the car due to concrete based rail track and tunnel structure has become a social problem. So, an analysis on the noise characteristics according to their routes and locations was made on the basis of the actually measured results from the trial run. To reduce the interior noise of subway train, the side part of rolling stock should have a noise blocking system fur low band frequency noise, the floor of it should have that for medium range frequency noise and the side part as well as lower part of it should have good noise reduction and absorption function.

  • This paper investigates how to change passengers' preferences for express trains according to line extension in Seoul Metro Line 9. Before-and-after line extension, we traced passengers' path choices using Smart Card data via the method suggested by Kim et al. (2015). We developed two multinomial logit models before-and-after line extension. Transferability test showed that there is no difference between the two models. However, the load factor of the express train increased by 6.7% and the gap between the local and express trains became significantly wider.

  • We investigate rate scheduling and power allocation problem for a delay constrained CDMA systems. Specifically, we determine an energy efficient scheduling policy, while each user maintains the short term (n time slots) average throughput. We consider a multirate CDMA system where multirate is achieved by multiple codes. Each code can be interpreted as a virtual user. The aim is to schedule the virtual users into each time slot, such that the sum of transmit energy in n time slots is minimized. We then show that the total energy minimization problem can be solved by a shortest path algorithm. We compare the performance of the optimum scheduling with that of TDMA-type scheduling.

  • Short-term fading in a mobile radio channel is mainly caused by multipath reflected wave by local scatterers or natural obstacles surrounding a mobile unit. In this paper, we analyze probability density function(PDF), level crossing rate(LCR) and widths and depths of fades for the measured field strength data in Seoul and Daejeon areas. As a result, the satatistical distribution of signal variations within any small area with the constant mean value becomes the Rayleigh distribution The variation of fade depths is small regardless of the environment such as urban, suburban. etc. However, the variation of fade widths is large with the change of circumstantial structures and environment. the maximum level crossing rate is obtained near the mean value.

부유성 HNS의 근접영역의 확산 특성에 대한 수치해석

  • 해양 HNS(Hazardous and Noxious Substances)의 유출 사고 시, 막대한 인명 피해와 환경 훼손을 피하기 위해 유출 사고 조기 예측과 정확한 확산 경로를 예측하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구의 최종목적은 전산유체역학을 이용하여 HNS사고가 발생하였을 때 위험구역을 적절히 예측할 수 있는 수치해석기법을 개발하고, 다양한 해양사고조건과 환경영향을 고려하여 근접역에서의 2차원 확산 특성을 고찰하고 확산 현상을 예측하기 위한 모델을 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 상용코드인 ANSYS FLUENT(V. 17.2)을 사용하여 근접역에서의 2차원 확산특성을 모사하고 분석하였다. 특히, 누출된 HNS의 위치별 농도를 예측하기 위해 종수송방정식(Species Transport Equation)을 이용하였으며 RANS(Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes) 방정식과 표준 $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델을 이용하여 난류유동을 모사하였다. 해석된 결과는 문헌에서 얻어진 실험데이터와 상호비교하였으며 해수의 유속, HNS의 밀도에 따른 유층 두께, 해수면 HNS 평균 농도 그리고 HNS 전파 속도를 분석하였다. 유층 두께는 해류 유속에 따라 변화하며 변화 경향에 따라 두 구간으로 나눌 수 있다. 해류 전파 속도는 대체로 해류 유속과 선형적 비례관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 해수면 평균 HNS 농도는 해류 유속에 선형적으로 비례하여 감소하며, HNS 밀도가 큰 경우 해수면 평균 HNS 체적 농도는 더 빠르게 감소하게 된다. 이러한 결과는 HNS 확산 특성을 분석하고 관련된 예측모델을 개발하는 데에 기여할 수 있다.

  • It is increased that need of broadband multimedia service to make useful environment for user and to support the operation of railway system. So study of integrated data transmission in a subway and railway is activated. The research deals with pass loss characteristics of 18GHz microwave that is assigned frequency of integrated data transmission in a subway and railway. It is used sample integrated transmission system in subway and railway of KRRI(korea railroad research Institute) at the tunnel and road. Specification of test sample system is blow. It use OFDM modulation, Wireless frequency is 18GHz and 19GHz, Maximum output power is 20dBm, Receive sensitivity is -90dBm. The pass loss exponent and standard variation of road and tunnel is analyzed.

A Channel Estimation Method by Orthogonalizing of the time domain training signals in MIMO-OFDM systems (MIMO-OFDM 시스템에서 시간영역 훈련신호들의 직교화를 통한채널추정 방법)

  • In this paper, a channel estimation method by orthogonalizing of the time domain training signal in MIMO-OFDM systems is proposed. It has shown that Jeon's method[8] cannot be directly used in 4 Tx antenna MIMO-OFDM systems since the delayed Rx signals interfere the orthogonal property of the time domain training signals. As a possible solution to the problem, in this paper, a guard interval is inserted into the center of the training signals so that the orthogonal property between the Rx training signals can be maintained. It is shown by using computer simulations that the proposed method can estimate the channel response in time domain in 4 Tx antenna MIMO-OFDM systems.

  • Joint paths are induced mathematically for many kinds of joint pattern between master- and sub-pipes. By compensating them with root gap of welds and kerf width, real cutting paths are determined. Their NC codes are generated, and the paths generated by NC code are verified by a ghost function. A beveling is implemented through tilting a torch in the A- and B-axis direction for 8 sections in the chuck rotation of C-axis. The effective CAM program was developed specially for 6-axis CNC pipe coasters which cut a master or sub- pipe along the cutting path and simultaneously fulfill a beveling process.

  • It is expected that the introduction of real-driving emission will strengthen the exhaust emission. However, various researches have been reported that real-driving emission has been influenced by factors such as characteristics of the test routes and driving characteristics for drivers. In order to reflect this effect, European Commission applied the concept of driving dynamics to prevent deliberately driving of excessive and acceleration over RDE test. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of exhaust emissions according to real-driving test in three test routes and driving style. As a result of the test, it was confirmed that when the same driver tested real-driving test under three test routes, it depends on the driving characteristics of the route. Also, RDE-NOx for driving style was that severe driving has been about 16 times higher than normal driving in KNUT route.
