The present study was based on the multicenter study and retrospective method of 200 patients with intraoral minor salivary gland tumors which were received at the Yonsei university dental hospital, Soonchunhyang Bucheon hospital and Yonsei university Severance hospital from 1990 to 2006. In this study, 61.5% of the cases were benign tumor and 38.5% were malignant tumor. Of the benign tumors, pleomorphic adenoma was the most common benign tumor (n=104) and Warthin's tumor, lymphangioma, myoepithelioma and basal cell adenoma were followed. Of the malignant tumors, adenoid cystic carcinoma was the most common malignant tumor (n=32) and mucoepidermoid carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma, metastatic adenocarcinoma and acinic cell carcinoma were followed. The most common primary tumor location was palate. The result of this study was compared with other previous reviews and showed some differences.

A 5-year-old intact female mixed dog was admitted to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital for reconstructive surgery of traumatic oronasal communication in the palatal region after suffering a facial gunshot injury. The surgical procedure involved making buccal mucosal flaps as well as a transposition flap of the hard palate mucoperiosteum from the tissue adjacent to the defect, followed by applying a prosthetic appliance to protect the surgical flaps. A satisfactory outcome was obtained using a palatal prosthesis.

The pharmacokinetic properties of KR-V compounds, recently developed as new anti-HIV agents, were studied after i.v. and p.o. administration in rats. The concentrations of the KR-V series were determined in rat plasma using an high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-UV detection system. Of the 19 KR-V compounds investigated in the present study, only KR-V 3, 10, 14, 16 and 18-1 showed oral bioavailability. The plasma concentration-time data could be adequately described by an one-compartment open model. In the i.v. kinetic study (10mg/kg), the CLt of KR-V 3, 10, 14 and 16 (>4L/hr/kg) were significantly higher than that of KR-V 18-1 (1.1 L/hr/kg). The AUC of KR-V 18-1 was greater ($8.97{\mu}g{\cdot}hr/ml$) than that of the other compounds, but the Vd (0.58 L/kg) was lower. In the p.o. kinetic study (50mg/kg), although the t-1/2 of KR-V 18-1 was shorter than that of the other compounds, the AUC ($3.659{\mu}g{\cdot}hr/ml)$ and $C_{max}(1.891{\mu}g/ml$) were markedly higher. In a seperated in vitro experiment, only KR-V 18-1, of the 5 compounds with bioavailibility, exhibits potent activity against HIV-1 mutant strains. Therefore, KR-V 18-1 is expected to become a new potent anti-AIDS drug candidate/lead compound.

문경산 흰 넓적다리 붉은 쥐, Apodemus peninsulae peninsulae, 의 염색체 핵형 분석과 단변량 및 다변량분석방법들을 사용한 등줄쥐, Apodemus agrarius coreae, 와의 형태적 형질의 비교를 하였다. 흰 넓적다리 붉은 쥐의 염색체수는 2n=50-54R지 수적 변이를 보였다. 차단부 염색체의 수는 48개로 개체간에 일정하였으나 , 중부 염색체의 수는 2-6개의 변이가 나타났다. 형태적 형질의 분석결과는 등줄쥐보다 흰 넓적다리 붉은 쥐가 크다고 판정되었으며 가장 구별이 잘 되는 경구개의 길이였다.

알비노 기니픽의 피부에 Microsporum gypseum을 접종한 후 체중 kg당 20, 40 및 80mg의 terbinafine을 접종 당일부터 9일간 연속 투여하였다. 대조군의 피부는 인설과 가피를 동반한 현저한 염증이 발생되었다. 이와 대조적으로 terbinafine을 경구투여한 처치군에서는 피부 증상이 현저하게 차도를 보였다. 진균학적인 평가를 위해 모근침범시험을 실시 하였다. 체중 kg 당 20∼80mg의 terbinafine을 경구투여한 처치군은 진균학적으로 97∼100%의 치료효과를 나타냈으며, 대주군에서는 치료효과가 전혀 없었다.

The author observed the distribution of mast cells in the hard palate wound healing of healthy male albino rats weighing about 100gm. The mild wounds were made antero-posterior linealy by sugical knife. The results were as follow : 1. At the from three days to five days after wound, the number of mast cells were markedly increased. 2. In the wound healing process, mast cells were more distributed in the lamina propria than in the submucosa.

배경 : trill은 혀의 첨부가 호기에 따라 진동하면서 경구개 전방에 부딪혀 나는 소리로 주로 "르" 발음으로 들린다. trill은 성악가들에게는 발성전에 후두의 준비운동으로 사용되고, 성대수술 반흔에 의한 애성환자나 노인성 음성장애환자의 음성치료에도 이용되고 있다. 목적 : trill을 실시할 때 전기성문파 측정법상에서 나타난 성대점막의 움직임을 조사하고 효과적인 trill 기법을 찾아보고자 하였다. (중략)
