  • 침입탐지시스템과 같은 기존의 보안 시스템의 가장 큰 단점 중에 하나는 많은 경고로 인하여 정확한 공격 탐지 분석이 매우 힘들다는데 있다. 이는 관리자의 지식과 경험으로 극복될 수 있지만 관리자의 지식과 경험이 많다 할지라도 관리 네트워크의 범위가 클수록 경고 메시지 분석에 대한 어려움이 존재한다. 또한 관리자에게 보고하는 많은 경고 중에 정확하지 않은 경고가 다수 포함되어 있기 때문에 필요하지 않은 경고까지 분석해야하는 부담을 갖는다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 알고리즘은 보안 시스템의 경고와 취약성 분석 데이터의 상관관계를 분석하여 취약성이 존재하지 않는 공격에 대한 경고 메시지를 필터링한다.

Experimental Study on Stall Inception in a Centrifugal Compressor (원심압축기 스톨 발단에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속의 원심압축기에서 스톨 발단에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 스톨을 일으키는 요인과, 스톨이 발생하기 전에 이를 미리 경고할 수 있는 방법을 주된 연구 주제로 삼았다. 원주방향으로 균일하게 분포된 8개의 고속응답 압력변환기를 사용하여 순간압력을 측정하였으며, 이 신호를 공간 푸리에 변환(space Fourier transform)을 사용하여 스톨의 발단을 알리는 신호를 측정하였고, 회전하는 파의 에너지(Traveling Wave Energy) 방법을 사용하여 스톨을 미리 경고하는 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 회전하는 파의 에너지 방법은 스톨을 경고하는 데 좋은 성능을 보였으며, 저속에서는 약 임펠러 100회전, 중간속도에서는 약 200회전, 그리고 고속에서는 약 임펠러 1000회전의 경고시간을 보였다. 그리고 스톨 발단 근처에서 공간 푸리에 계수의 위상이 임펠러 주파수의 속도로 선형적인 증가를 보이는 구간이 나타났으며, 또한 임펠러 주파수의 스펙트럼이 스톨로 접근하면서 증가하는 것으로부터, 임펠러 주파수가 스톨을 일으키는 중요한 요인으로 작용함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 임펠러의 회전속도에 관계없이 스톨로 접근하면서 임펠러 주파수의 스펙트럼이 증가하므로, 이 값이 스톨을 경고하는 방법으로 사용될 수 있음을 보였으며, 약 임펠러 2n회전의 경고시간을 얻을 수 있었고, 임펠러의 속도가 빠를수록 긴 경고시간을 얻었다. 이 방법의 개발로 하나의 센서의 측정만으로도 효과적으로 스톨을 경고할 수 있는 기반을 마련하였다.

  • One of the effective countermeasures for preventing traffic accidents is to provide traffic safety warning information to drivers. Provision of warning information would lead to safer driving to avoid accident occurrence. This study investigated the effects of in-vehicle warning information on driver's behavior. A variety of warning information contents using text, sound, and pictograms were prepared for the field experiments. Individual vehicle speed and acceleration data, which represent quantitative drivers' behavior in response to in-vehicle warning information, were collected using differential global positioning systems (DGPS). Statistical analyses including ANOVA and Tukey's pairwise comparison were conducted. It is expected that the results could be invaluable for designing more effective warning information.

Analysis for Effectiveness of Cigarette Warning Picture and Message - Focusing on Smoker, Non-smoker, Ex-smoker (담뱃갑 경고그림 및 메시지 효과 분석 - 흡연자, 비흡연자와 금연자를 중심으로)

  • This study is a descriptive study for analyzing cigarette warning picture and message effect according to smoking status (smoking, non-smoking, ex-smoking). A total of 219 subjects participated in the study. Data collection was conducted from June 4, 2017 to June 14, 2017. The survey was conducted by using the 10 cigarette warning pictures(heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, laryngeal cancer, oral cancer) and cigarette warning messages selected by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2016. The results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference in smoking cessation intention between smoking, non-smoker and ex-smoker groups after exposure of smoking warning picture and cigarette warning message(F=36.08, p<.001). Therefore, it is suggested that the contents of cigarette warning picture and warning messages including T.V Anti-Smoking Public Service Announcement need to be replaced regularly in order to improve the smoking cessation of smokers according to National Health Promotion Act.

  • Provision of advanced warning information is one of the useful countermeasures to prevent traffic accidents. Analysis of user's preference for any information contents would be a backbone in designing more effective warning information systems. This study aimed at deriving more comprehensive and valuable warning information that leads to user's safer driving by conducting a questionnaire survey. In total, 258 people including various age groups and driving experiences participated in the survey. Preferable warning information contents were identified by this study. It is expected that the results would be useful data for providing warning information to drivers.

  • 최근 여러 지역에서 발생되는 지하철 참사 및 대형화재 또는 지하철 역사, 대형 지하상가, 백화점, 지하공간, 대형쇼핑센터, 숙박업소, 공공건물등 대형 다중이용시설 등에서 발생될 수 있는 예측 불가능한 인재, 천재지변에 안전하게 대피하기 위한 수단으로 비상등 및 여러 감지기들이 소방법 개정으로 의무설치 하고 있다. 비상등 및 감지기들은 비상시 위험 감지 및 경고 전파를 위해 사용되는데 방음벽이나 격벽, 경고 거리의 제한으로 인해 경고 전달의 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 데이터 전송기능 및 경고등, 음성전파 기능을 갖는 무선 지능형 화재 감지/경고시스템을 설계하고자 한다.

  • CFIT(Controlled Flight Into Terrain) is one of the major causes of aircraft accidents. In order to solve this problem, GPWS(Ground Proximity Warning System) is used to generate terrain collision warning using the distance between the aircraft and the underneath ground. Since the GPWS uses the vertical clearance only, it frequently generates false warnings. In this study, a terrain/obstacle collision avoidance warning algorithm was developed for fast flying and highly maneuvering fighters using the flight status and the geographic information. This algorithm condsiders the overall delay in the aircraft reactive motion including the pilot's reaction time. The paper presents a detailed logic and test methods.

Evaluating Effectiveness of Lane Departure Warning System by User Perceptions (차선이탈경고장치(LDWS) 이용자 만족도 평가 연구)

  • A lane departure warning system (LDWS) is an effective technology-based countermeasure for preventing traffic crashes as it provides warning information to drivers. Understanding the characteristics of perception and satisfaction levels on LDWS is fundamental for deriving better performance and functionality enhancements of the system. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the user satisfaction of LDWS. A survey to collect user perception and user preference data was conducted. Both cross-tabulation analysis and binary logistic regression technique were adopted to identify the factors affecting user satisfaction for LDWS. The results revealed that the accuracy and timeliness of warning information was significant for evaluating the effectiveness of LDWS. In particular, the warning accuracy at a curve segment on the road was the most dominant factor affecting user satisfaction. The outcome of this study would be valuable in evaluating and designing LDWS functionalities.

  • In-vehicle warning information systems(IWIS) is an effective countermeasure for preventing traffic crashes. It provides drivers with warnng messages about upcoming hazards to draw proper evasive maneuvering. This study developed a methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of IWIS based on an integrated index to identify driver's responsive behavior. The proposed index consists of characteristics of longitudinal and lateral behavior of vehicle maneuverings. Also, a method to assign mixed-weights in the context of multi-criteria decision making framework was adopted to develop the evaluation method. It is expected that the outcome of this study is useful in designing more effective in-vehicle warning information systems.

Evaluation of the Feasibility of a Voice Alarm in a Highway Work Zone (음성 경고의 도로 공사구간 적용 가능성 평가)

  • Providing a voice alarm to drivers approaching a work zone could be an effective alternative to mitigate the potential safety problems of the work zone. This study conceived a voice alarm with a direction sound speaker and a field test was conducted that evaluated the feasibility of the voice alarm at a highway work zone. During the field study, we carried out on-site driver surveys to obtain drivers' perception and preference, collected approaching speeds, and measured sound level during the off-peak 2-hour for two days, respectively. The results showed that while the voice alarm has the potential to be an effective tool in improving safety, the alternative appeared to have the negative effect of noise. Further refinement to a voice alarm with a directional speaker is required to improve feasibility, and the results are expected to be utilized as basic data useful for the refinement.
