A Geographic Routing based Data Delivery Scheme for Void Problem Handling in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 보이드 문제 해결을 위한 위치 기반 데이터 전송 기법)

  • In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), geographic greedy forwarding fails to move a packet further towards its destination if the sender does not have any closer node to the destination in its one hop transmission region. In this paper, we propose a enhanced geographic routing, called CGR(Cost based Geographic Routing) for efficient data delivery against void problem environment. CGR first establishes Shadow Bound Region and then accomplishes Renewing Cost Function Algorithm for effective greedy forwarding data delivery. Our simulation results show significant improvements compared with existing schemes in terms of routing path length, success delivery ratio and energy efficiency.

The Analysis of High School Students' Conceptions on Plate Tectonics (고등학생들의 판 구조론에 대한 개념 분석)

  • This study aimed to investigate high school students' conceptions of plate tectonics. Seventy students (N=70) in their 2 year of high schools in the province of Chungcheong-do participated in this study, and they took a conception test of visual representation. We conducted a semi-structured interview with 10 volunteering participants out of seventy. After learning about the concept of plate tectonics, this study found that participants ended up having alternative conceptions relating to terminology, meaning of colors, plates' movement, plates' boundaries, position and cause of melting, mantle's physical conditions, and driving forces of plate motion. The conceptions that the participants held after class were organically related, which included the meaning of colors, mantle's physical characteristic, and driving forces of plate movement. In addition, the visual representation used for teaching plate tectonics influenced the students' understanding about terminologies, plates' boundaries, position of melting, and the physical characteristic of mantle. The study found that there were the factors of visual representation that caused the learners to create alternative conceptions in learning about plate tectonics.

  • 궤도형 차량의 이동구조는 에너지 소비 측면에서 단점이 있지만 접지압의 감소로 인한 평지 및 야지험지에서도 원활한 주행이 가능한 장점으로 인해 농업분야의 플랫폼에서 많이 사용된다. 곡식을 베는 일과 탈곡하는 일을 한 번에 하는 콤바인도 이러한 무한궤도형 이동구조를 사용한다. 또한 궤도형 차량의 방향전환 및 주행속도 변환은 좌 우 궤도의 회전 속도를 다르게 하여 동시에 제어하기 때문에 정교한 주행 성능을 위해서는 궤도형 차량의 기구학 모델을 고려한 경로 계획이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 직교형 포장에서 Round harvesting 기법 기반으로 궤도형 차량의 기구학 모델 및 포장정보를 고려한 자율주행 콤바인 경로계획 알고리즘을 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 Labview 기반의 궤도형 차량 시뮬레이션을 구축하여 실제 포장정보를 이용해 생성 된 경로의 적용 가능성을 구명하고자 하였다. 자율주행 콤바인 경로 계획은 콤바인의 길이, 너비, 회전 시 좌 우 궤도의 속도 비, 직진 속도와 회전 속도 비, 회전 각도, 포장의 외부 경계선, 작업 겹침 량, 회경 횟수를 이용하여 좌현 새머리 선회를 포함한 내부 왕복작업 경로를 생성하며 외부 회경 횟수는 2~3회를 가정하였다. 자율주행 시뮬레이션은 차체와 궤도 자체의 미끄러짐과 작동기 지연시간을 단순화 한 궤도형 기구학 모델형태로 구성하였다. 추종 알고리즘은 선견 거리법을 사용하였으며, 측면 변이값과 방향 오차의 선형조합을 이용하여 조향변수를 정의하고 퍼지로직기반으로 좌 우 궤도 속도를 7 단계화하여 조향장치를 모델링하였다. 실험결과 개발 된 경로생성 알고리즘은 실제 취득 된 포장 외부 경계 GPS 위 경도를 이용해 자동으로 생성이 가능하며 간략화 된 콤바인 시뮬레이션에서 직진주행 RMS 위치 오차는 0.05 m, 선회구간에서 직진 구간 진입 시 RMS 위치 오차는 0.11 m, 직진 구간 RMSE 방향 오차는 3.2 deg로 콤바인 예취부 간격인 30 cm보다 작은 위치 오차를 보이며 생성된 경로 전체 추종이 가능함을 나타내었다.

  • The objective of this work is to reduce drag on a bluff body within a viscous flow by applying suction or injection of fluid along the surface of the body. In addition to minimizing drag, the optimal solution tends to reduce boundary layer separation and flow recirculation. When discretized by finite elements, the optimal control problem can be posed as a large-scale nonlinearly-constrained optimization problem. The constraints correspond to the discretized form of the Navier-Stokes equations. Unfortunately, solving such large-scale problems directly is essentially intractable. We developed several Sequential Quadratic Programming methods that are tailored to the structure of the control problem. Example problems of laminar flow around an infinite cylinder in two dimensions are solved to demonstrate the methodology. We use these optimal control techniques to study the influence of number of suction/injection holes and location of holes on the resulting optimized flow. We compare the proposed SQP methods against one another, as well as against available methods from the literature, from the point of view of efficiency and robustness. The most efficient of the proposed methods is two orders of magnitude faster than existing methods.

  • In this paper, we will show that a control search methodology is a alternative method of a sequential search which is difficult in finding books for arrangement at library or a bookstore when books are out of place. To solve the problem of the sequential search, we apply a edge operator and the Hough Transform to boundary of a taken photograph image book. We generate histogram by a projected image from boundary range of selected books and select title areas from this and possible areas which are a character number of title, authors, a publishing company and an array sequence. Finally, we can select the final possible area of a book location by a curve fitting and a regression line extraction, and show utility through experiment.

A Robust Algorithm for Tracking Non-rigid Objects Using Deformed Template and Level-Set Theory (템플릿 변형과 Level-Set이론을 이용한 비강성 객체 추적 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose a robust object tracking algorithm based on model and edge, using deformed template and Level-Set theory. The proposed algorithm can track objects in case of background variation, object flexibility and occlusions. First we design a new potential difference energy function(PDEF) composed of two terms including inter-region distance and edge values. This function is utilized to estimate and refine the object shape. The first step is to approximately estimate the shape and location of template object based on the assumption that the object changes its shape according to the affine transform. The second step is a refinement of the object shape to fit into the real object accurately, by using the potential energy map and the modified Level-Set speed function. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can track non-rigid objects under various environments, such as largely flexible objects, objects with large variation in the backgrounds, and occluded objects.

But emergency call made by mobile phone should be ask location information to mobile network. This paper proposes the network protocol for mobile emergency service refer to TIA/EIA/J-STD-036-A with reviews about technical issues, legacy factors and related researches. The mobile emergency service is divided to mobile emergency rescue service and mobile emergency alert service. The network reference model for mobile emergency rescue service is released in domestic sector. In this paper, the interfaces between modules of the network reference model, and service scenarios, message flows are defined. Supplement to mobile emergency rescue service, the network reference model, interfaces and message flows for mobile emergency alert service are developed.

  • Recently, use of various position base servicesthat collect position information for moving object and utilize in real life is increasing by the development of wireless network technology. Accordingly, new index structures are required to efficiently retrieve the consecutive positions of moving objects. This paper addresses an improved trajectory split algorithm for the purpose of efficiently supporting spatio-temporal range queries using index structures that use Minimum Bounding Rectangles(MBR) as trajectory approximations. We consider volume of Extended Minimum Bounding Rectangles (EMBR) to be determined by average size of range queries. Also, Use a priority queue to speed up our process. This algorithm gives in general sub-optimal solutions with respect to search space. Our improved trajectory split algorithm is going to derive minimizing volume of EMBRs better than previously proposed split algorithm.

Data Acquisition System Using the Second Binary Code (2차원 부호를 이용한 정보 획득 시스템)

  • In this paper, it is presented the efficient system for data recognition using the proposed binary code images. The proposed algorithm finds the position of binary image. Through the process of the block region classification, it is classified each block with the edge region using the value of gray level only. Each block region is divided horizontal and vertical edge region. If horizontal edge region blocks are classified over six blocks in any region, the proposed algorithm should search the vertical edge region in the start point of the horizontal edge region. If vertical edge region blocks were found over ten blocks in vertical region, the code image would found. Practical code region is acquired from the rate of the total edge region that is computed from the binary image that is processed with the average value. In case of the wrong rate, it is restarted the code search in the point after start point and the total process is followed. It has a short time than the before process time because it had classified block information. The block processing is faster thant the total process. The proposed system acquires the image from the digital camera and makes binary image from the acquired image. Finally, the proposed system extracts various characters from the binary image.

A Study on the Hole Stability in the U-Grooved Plates (U-groove가 있는 평판재 끝 Hole의 안정성 문제)

  • In the stability problem of the U-grooved plate, it has a circular hole, the site of the hole determines some different deformation mode when it was loaded. To determine the optimal position of the circular hole-center which not to get large distortion of the hole itself, in this paper, we studied the distributions of stresses in the neck area between hole and U-groove and the distortion mode of the deformed hole by B.E.M(Boundary Element Method) and compared with experimental results in four cases. For a distributed load, according to the center of the hole moves closer to the U-groove center (c.-c. line), the shape of the circular hole was transformed to the elliptical one(it's major axis perpendicular to the c.-c. line). In this problem, the results by Boundary Element Method was well accorded with Experiments.
