Noise Control of Plate Structures with Optimal Design of Multiple Piezoelectric Actuators (복수 압전 가진기의 최적 설계를 통한 판구조물의 소음제어)

  • Noise control of a plate structure with multiple disk shaped piezoelectric actuators is studied. The plate is excited by an acoustic pressure field produced by a noise source located below the plate. Finite element modeling is used for the plate structure that supports a combination of three dimensional solid, flat shell and transition elements. The objective function, in the optimization procedure, is to minimize the sound energy radiated onto a hemispherical surface of given radius and the design parameters are the locations and sizes of the piezoelectric actuators as well as the amplitudes of the voltages applied to them. Automatic mesh generation is addressed as part of the modeling procedure. Numerical results for both resonance and off resonance frequencies show remarkable noise reduction and the optimal locations of the actuators are found to be close to the edges of the plate structure. The optimized result is robust such that when the acoustic pressure pattern is changed, reduction of radiated sound is still maintained. The robustness of an optimally designed structure is also tested by changing the frequency of the noise source using only the actuator voltages as design parameters.

Fabrication and Stability of Pd Coated Ta/YSZ Cermet Membrane for Hydrogen Separation (Pd 코팅된 Ta/YSZ 수소분리막의 제조 및 안정성)

  • Cermet membrane was fabricated with tantalum as hydrogen-permeable metal and $Y_2O_3$-stabilized $ZrO_2$ (YSZ) as ceramic supporter. Ta/YSZ cermet membrane was prepared through pre-sintering in He atmosphere and then main sintering under high vacuum and the impurities to originate from sintering and brazing could be removed by mechanical polishing. As-prepared membrane showed dense structure with continuous channel of tantalum. Hydrogen permeation experiment was conducted in the region of $200{\sim}350^{\circ}C$ using Ta/YSZ membrane coated with Pd for hydrogen dissociation. The crack in membrane was formed at $300^{\circ}C$ and the Pd coating layer has flaked off in spots. XRD results showed that tantalum reacted with hydrogen to form $Ta_2H$. The lattice expansion by $Ta_2H$ caused deterioration for membrane.

  • 메탄 하이드레이트는 낮은 온도와 높은 압력 조건에서 물분자들의 격자구조에 메탄가스분자가 포획되어 수소결합으로 형성되는 외관상 얼음과 비슷한 결정성 화합물이다. $1m^3$의 메탄 하이드레이트는 표준상태에서 $172m^3$의 메탄가스와 $0.8m^3$의 물로 분해되며, $-10^{\circ}C{\sim}-20^{\circ}C$의 온도에서는 하이드레이트 입자표면에서 생성되는 얼음막으로 인하여 상압에서도 안정하게 존재하는 자기보존 효과를 가지고 있다. 따라서 이와 같은 특징을 천연가스 수송 및 저장의 방법으로 이용할 경우 $-162^{\circ}C$의 초저온을 만들고 유지시키기 위하여 고가의 설비를 필요로 하는 기존의 LNG 수송방법을 대체할 수 있다. 특히 연간 천연가스 소비량을 0.4 ~ 1.0 million ton으로 가정했을 때, 하이드레이트 수송방법은 LNG 수송에 비해 18 ~ 25% 정도의 비용을 절약할 수 있는 경제적인 방법으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 하이드레이트를 인공적으로 제조할 경우 물분자와 가스분자의 반응율이 낮기 때문에 하이드레이트가 생성되기까지 많은 시간이 소요되며, 하이드레이트에 포획되는 가스분자의 양도 적다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 다공성 물질인 천연 제올라이트와 제올라이트 13X를 이용하여 제올라이트 혼합유체를 제조하였으며, 메탄가스와 반응시켜 하이드레이트를 생성시키는 실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 하이드레이트 생성 시 천연 제올라이트와 제올라이트 13X 모두 0.01 wt%의 혼합비율에서 가장 좋은 효과를 나타내었으며, 하이드레이트에 포획된 가스의 양은 같은 과냉도 조건에서 천연제올라이트와 제올라이트 13X 혼합유체를 이용하여 하이드레이트를 생성 시켰을 때, 증류수보다 각각 4배, 5배 높음을 보였다. 또한 낮은 과냉도에서 하이드레이트 생성 시 제올라이트, 제올라이트13X 혼합유체에서 하이드레이트 생성시간이 증류수에서 하이드레이트를 생성시킬 때보다 빨라짐을 확인하였다.

Preparation of Living Skin Equivalent by using the Contracted Collagen Lattice and Cultured Human Keratinocytes (수축된 콜라겐 격자와 배양된 각질형성세포를 이용한 피부 대용물질의 제조에 관한 연구)

  • An experimental study was performed for the preparation of living skin-equivalent by the using collagen gel contraction with human fibroblasts as neodermls and cultured human keratinocytes as neoderm is . The results were as follows ; 1) The rate of collagen gel contraction was dependent on the number of fibroblasts into the lattice and collagen contraction was progressed according to the increment of the number of the cells. 2) The rate of collagen gel contraction was progressed according to the decrement of the contraction of the collagen. 3) The rate of gel contraction was progressed according to the increment of serum concentration in the fixed concentration of the fibroblasts and collagen. 4) The lattice contraction was decreased according to the increment of the population doublings of the fibroblasts. 5) Macroscopically, the artificial dermis was gray white in color and tissue-like consistency and elas- ticity. 6) Microscopically, three dimensionally contracted artificial dermis showed more dense fibroblasts and its newly formed collagen fibrils in the matrix than one dimensionally contracted one. 7) Finally prepared skin-equivalent showed good attachment of living stratified keratinocytes to the dermal equivalent microscopically. It has been proposed that newly formed skin-equivalent is suitable for the graft of extensively and deeply burned patients. Shortening of the manufacturing period of skin-equivalent and development of conservation technique as a readily usable state are to be solved for our ongoing works.

  • The 3-D shape use to effect of movie, animation, industrial design, medical treatment service, education, engineering etc.... But it's not easy to make 3-D shape from the information of 2-D image. There are two methods in restoring 3-D video image through 2-D image; First the method of using a laser; Secondly the method of acquiring 3-D image through stereo vision. Instead of doing two methods with many difficulties, I figure out the method of simple 3-D image in this research paper. We present here a simple and efficient method, called direct calibration, which doesn't require any equations at all. The direct calibration procedure builds a lookup table(LUT) linking image and 3-D coordinates by a real 3-D triangulation system. The LUT is built by measuring the image coordinates of a grid of known 3-D points, and recording both image and world coordinates for each point; the depth values of all other visible points are obtained by interpolation.

  • 최근에 이르러 농촌 인구의 도시유입으로 도시의 주거공간이 절대적으로 부족해지고 있으며, 이는 대도시의 아파트 가격 상승을 유발하는 등 부수적인 사회/경제적 문제를 일으키고 있다. 정부나 지방자치단체에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 대규모의 신도시 개발계획을 추진하고 있으며, 이러한 신도시 개발은 도시화로 인하여 환경적, 수문학적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되고 있으며 도시물순환계는 강우가 지표에 도달 한 후 바로 하천으로 유출되는 것과 침투하여 서서히 유출하는 자연경로 그리고 상수도 및 하수도를 통해 하천으로 배수되는 인공적 경로에 의해서 형성된다. 일반적으로 신도시 개발 전후의 수문순환을 평가하는 방법 중의 하나는 개발예정지에 대한 장단기의 수문 관측을 통하여 개발 전과 개발 후의 유출특성과 수질부하를 정량적으로 비교하는 것이다 (한국건설기술연구원, 2004). 따라서 본 연구에서는 행정중심 복합도시 물순환 해석을 하기 위해 대상유역을 100m 크기의 정방형 격자로 구분하고 기상조건, 지표면 조건, 하천, 토양, 지하 대수층, 농업용수 등의 광범위한 입력 자료를 구축한 후 이를 물리적인 기반의 공간분포모형인 WEP 모형에 적용하여 개발 전 홍수 및 유출특성을 규명하고자 한다. 이를 위해 대상지역에 대한 장기적인 수문모니터링 자료를 바탕으로 1996년에서 2007년 까지 모의 하여 실측자료가 있는 $2006{\sim}2007$년을 대상으로 비교한 결과 일부 갈수기 자료를 제외 하고, 전반적인 높은 상관성을 나타냈다. 하지만 일부 홍수위에서 금강으로 부터의 배수위 영향으로 인한 차이가 발생해 추가적인 검토가 필요하며, 본 연구에서 도출된 결과들은 향후 도시유역에서의 수자원 분배와 물자원 관리 등의 적응전략을 수립하는데 있어 본 연구가 도움이 될 것이라고 판단한다.

Measurement of Refractive Index Profile of Optical Fiber Using the Diffraction Phase Microscope (회절위상현미경을 이용한 광섬유의 굴절률 프로파일 측정)

  • We have developed a measurement method of the refractive index profile of an optical fiber by using diffraction phase microscopy. In the microscope system, the reference light was extracted directly from the probe light that passed through the sample by means of pinhole filtering with a diffraction grating. The spatial interference pattern produced by the probe light and the reference light was processed to generate the phase image of the sample fiber. The index profile was obtained by the inverse Abel transform of the phase profile. In order to remove the background phase that originated from the index difference between the cladding and the surrounding medium, the background phase was calculated from the phase data of the cladding to make a core phase profile that can be directly transformed to the index profile of the core without the full phase image that includes the entire cladding part.

2-Dimensional Holographic grating formation in amorphous chalcogenide thin film (비정질 칼코게나이드 박막에서의 2차원 홀로그래픽 격자 형성)

  • In this study, we formed the 2-dimensional holographic grating in order to mamufactured 2-dimensional photonic crystal in amorphous $As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ and $Ag/As_{40}Ge_{10}Se_{15}S_{35}$ thin film which have the excellent optical sensetivity using by He-Ne laser(632.8nm). The intensity of incident beam was 2.5mW and incident angle that $2{\theta}$ is $20^{\circ}$. We formed the holographic grating after had formed the 1-dimansional holographic grating and then rotate the sample. We confirmed that 2-dimensional holographic grating result of the figure of diffracted beam and AFM(Atomic Forced Microcopy) image.

A Numerical Modeling of the East sea circulation (동해 순환의 수치모델)

  • The east Sea circulation is numerically modeled with refined grid resolution elaborated open boundary condition, and by directly imposing the measured surface temperature and salinity typical the east Korean Warm current are clearer than those in previous works. among others, The Ulleung warm Water and the Intermediate Water of minimum salinity are nicely reproduced. The latter is formed in the northern/northwestern coastal region in winter and is advocated southward by strong under-current. the former is associated with a locally generated anti-cyclonic gyres. The model indicates strong seasonal variation of Nearshore Current along the Japanese coast from wintertime barotropic to summertime baroclinic structures. the associated strong reversed under-cur-rent in summer is not well understood. Global circulation pattern is characterized by two regions of cyclonic and anti-cyclonic gyres in the north and south, respectively. The presence of these gyres indicates importance of local dynamics in East Sea circulation. This model, however, does not completely resolve the problem of overshooting of the East Korean Warm current.

Variation of Magnetic Properties of Fe/CoNbZr with Multilayer Structure and Annealing Condition (Fe/CoNbZr 다층박막의 구조 및 열처리 조건에 따른 자기적 특성)

  • Effects of multilayer structure and annealing condition on the soft magnetic properties of sputtered Fe/CoNbZr multilayers were investigated. We observed a minimum coercivity (1.1 Oe) at 5 nm thick Fe layer and the maximum permeability (2300) at 15 nm Fe layer and high saturation magnetization in the as-deposited state. As a result of increase of Fe grain size, coercivity increases with increasing Fe layer thickness. Degradation of ${\mu}$ at the thin Fe layer region may be due to the intermixed phase of high magnetostriction, such as CoFe. Optimum annealing condition was obtained through annealing at 300 $^{\circ}C$ for 40 min (${\mu}$=2500, H$\sub$c/=0.35 Oe). Enhancement of permeability was observed in the temperature range of 250∼300$^{\circ}C$. These results may closely be related with lowering the anisotropy energy by lattice deformation (0.4%) and enhanced uniaxial anisotropy.
