Design and Implementation of Creativity Improving System to Support Humanity Education (안성교육을 위한 창의성 계발 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • Humanity education is very important and essential part of education from the viewpoint of education. Further, it is valuable to utilize the advantages of computer system for systematic humanity education. In this paper, we designed and implemented Creativity Improving System(CIS) for improving student's creativity as an integrated component of Humanity Education System (HES) which will be developed in the near future. CIS is easy to maintain, repair and extend itself, since it is implemented based on Object-Oriented Development Method (OODM). By using 3-dimensional graphic technology, the contents of 3D-world in space is realistically expressed for improving the interest and effect of learning in the part of the maze game.

  • 편안한 3차원 입체영상 콘텐츠 제작을 위해선 시청 환경 조건에 부합하는 최적의 제작 방법을 필요로 한다. 현재의 입체영상 제작 과정은 경험자의 지식이나 시청자 실험에 기반 한 가이드라인들을 활용하고 있으나, 특정 제작 환경에 국한되어 있다. 보다 구체적이고 정량적인 가이드라인 도출을 위해선 다양한 카메라 제어 및 시청 환경 요소를 고려한 실험용 입체영상이 제작되고, 그 실험 영상을 기반으로 다양한 시청자 실험 데이터가 구축되어야 한다. 또한, 실험용 입체영상 제작은 단기간에 이루어지고, 실험 목적 변경에 따라 변화 요인을 수용할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 실험용 입체영상 제작을 위해, 상업용 3D 게임 엔진 저작 툴(Unity3D)에서 운용되고, 깊이예산(Depth Budget) 제어가 쉽게 가능한 입체 카메라 모듈을 구현하고, 구현된 모듈을 활용한 입체영상의 제작 예를 보여준다.

  • Recently, Product and contents using virtual reality technique is spreading quickly. Visualization using virtual reality technique is provide a differentiated experience with existing visualization methodology by giving enhanced immersiveness to users. This paper is make a suggestion to a new methodology of stereo-scope visualization and talk about this utilization possibility. We proposed the design method of stereo-scope realization system that is composed at least two screen. through which users will feel more immersiveness and experience to virtual reality. The suggestion system of this paper will widely used in various industry such as virtual reality exhibitions, shows, games, training programs, etc.

Method and Case Study of Decision Tree for Content Design Education (콘텐츠 디자인교육을 위한 의사 결정 트리 활용 방법과 사례연구)

  • In order to overcome the students' lack of information and experience, we developed a content planning tree that utilizes a decision tree. The content planning tree consists of a tree trunk creation step in which students select a theme and a story to develop, a parent branch generation step for selecting a category that can be developed based on the story, a child branch generation step for selecting the interesting "effect" method of producing the content effectively, a leaf generation step for selecting a multimedia expression 'element' to be visualized. The educational model was applied to game planning design and information visualization lectures, and provides examples of the categories, effects, and elements used in each lecture. The model was used for 145 team projects and the efficiency was confirmed by a step-by-step learning process.

  • The real data obtained from field exercises has a crucial role in modeling and simulation of a combat or a wargame. This becomes an important input especially in analyzing weapon systems realization. Many existing models have been using the mean value of the time between each fire. The firing data can be incorporated into a known probability distribution or used directly as an empirical distribution. Data of field exercises are very useful instead of the real combat outcomes. This study finds a new modeling approach and techniques to compare the data with the previously generated outcomes. This fundamental research work will continue to consider more of the various weapon systems, the sizes, and other tactical aspects.

  • 5세대(5G) 이동통신망의 보급과 코로나19 여파로 비대면 시대가 열리면서 가상 증강현실(VR·AR)을 기반으로 한 '실감(XR·Extended Reality)경제가 본격화 되었다. 가상증강현실의 적용분야로는 게임·영화 등 엔터테인먼트, 제조업, 쇼핑 및 전자상거래, 병원·의료기기, 고객서비스, 지식서비스교육 분야 등이 있다. 본 논문은 VR·AR&교육콘텐츠를 키워드로 최근 3년(2018.1.1.~2020.12.31.)간 중앙지, 경제지 등 54개 언론사 기사를 빅카인즈와 데이터랩을 이용하여 관계도 분석, 월간 키워드 트렌드, 연관어 분석을 하였다. 'VR, AR, 에듀테크'를 키워드로 뉴스 검색결과 63,959건 중 '에듀테크' 검색결과 2018년 632건, 2019년 1043건, 2020년 2389건으로 해마다 급 상승하였다. '(AR+VR)AND 교육콘텐츠'에 대한 검색 결과 연관성(키워드 빈도수)이 높은 키워드로는 증강현실(120), 가상현실(116), 인공지능(114), 에듀테크(100), 코로나19(66), 실감형(65), 아이들(61), VR·AR(56), ICT(35), 빅데이터(25) 순으로 가상·증강현실 기술 발전, 코로나19의 장기화, 교육의 효율성으로 에듀테크 분야의 활용도가 급격히 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • As the MZ generation, which has recently become a hot topic, enters a major generation that plays various social roles, the need for research on efficient educational methods and content production tailored to the level of the MZ generation continues to be raised. In this reality, this paper was described to discuss the direction of development and raising the level of security educational content. To this end, the effectiveness of security educational content currently being used socially was analyzed, the content of a gametoon that combines the concept of gamification with a webtoon as a development plan was explained, and the educational effect was verified through the Likert scale. Furthermore, it was proposed to effectively utilize it by presenting the direction of development applicable to security educational contents.

  • Hand tracking is currently one of the most promising technologies in XR with the release of extended reality (XR) devices, in which hand tracking is used as the main manipulation. Hand tracking offers advantages in terms of immersion and realism, and as a result, it is being employed in a range of fields, including education, business, and medical care. The archery movement requires using both hands at the same time, but requires sophistication to hit the target and is a movement that has cultural and sports significance in the past. This study aimed to implement this archery movement. Therefore, this paper used the XR Hands package provided by Unity to recognize hand movements, explored the underlying OpenXR, and finally implemented the archery movement and tested it in Meta Quest 2.

Physically Inspired Fast Lightning Rendering (물리적 특성을 고려한 빠른 번개 렌더링)

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm for generating lightning paths, which are more realistic than those of random tree based algorithm and faster than a physically based simulation algorithm. Our approach utilizes physically based Dielectric Breakdown Method (DBM) and approximates the electric potential field dramatically to generate the lightning path. We also show a guide path method for the lightning to avoid obstacles in a complex scene. Finally, our method renders fast and realistic lightning by considering physical characteristics for the thickness and brightness of the lightning stream. Our result of the lightning path shares similarity to natural phenomenon by having about 1.56 fractal dimensions, and we can generate the lightning path faster than a previous physically based algorithm. On the other hand, our method is difficult to apply on the real-time games yet, but our approach can be improved by performing the path generation algorithm with GPU in future.

Virtual learning environments for improving spatial sense of young children (유아의 공간감각 향상을 위한 가상학습공간 구축)

  • The 'spatial senses' mean environments and the instinctive responds to objects in the environments. The infancy is an important period to develop the basic capacity of the 'spatial senses'. Since young children can develop the 'spatial senses' throughout the actual and active search, it is essential for them to do experience through their physical actions. This paper proposes four motion based-contents for improving the spatial sense of young children: a bubble game, a cyber goalkeeper game, a mud-huddle game, and a shape recognition game. The proposed four games are implemented to the virtual learning environments. Also, the virtual learning environments utilize the realistic interfaces which can recognize motions of young children and then interact with the games as they do the movement at the virtual environments provided. Using the realistic interfaces not only develops young children's spatial sense but also offers them the pleasure and interest of self-study.
