A Study on the Types of Crime and Scalability in Metaverse (메타버스 내 범죄발생 유형과 확장성에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: In the case of cavity discovered by ground penetrating radar exploration, it is necessary to accurately predict the filling amount in the cavity in advance, fill the cavity sufficiently and exert strength to ensure stability and prevent ground subsidence. Method: The cavity waveform analysis method by GPR exploration and the method using the cavity shape imaging equipment were performed to measure the cavity shape with irregular size and shape of the actual cavity, and the amount of cavity filling of the injection material was calculated during rapid restoration. Result: The expected filling amount was presented by analyzing the correlation between the cavity size and the filling amount of injection material according to the cavity scale and soil depth through the method by GPR exploration and the cavity scale calculation using the cavity shaping equipment. Conclusion: The cavity scale measured by the cavity imaging equipment was found to be in the range of 20% to 40% of the cavity scale by GPR exploration. In addition, the filling amount of injection material compared to the cavity scale predicted by GPR exploration was in the range of about 60% to 140%, and the filling amount of the injection material compared to the cavity size by the cavity shaping equipment was confirmed to be about 260% to 320 Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the types of crimes taking place in the metaverse, and to establish a crime prevention strategy and find a legal deterrent against it. Method: In order to classify crime types in the metaverse, crime types were analyzed based on the results of previous studies and current incidents. Result: Most of the crimes taking place in the metaverse are done in games such as Roblox or Zeppetto. Most of the game users were teenagers. Looking at the types, there are many teens for sexual crimes, violent crimes, and defamation, but professional criminals are often included in copyright infringement, money laundering using virtual currency, and fraud. Conclusion: Since the types of crimes in the metaverse are diverse, various institutional supplementary mechanisms such as establishment of police crime prevention strategies, legal regulations, and law revisions will have to be prepared.

Integrating AI Generative Art and Gamification in an Art Education Model to Enhance Creative Thinking (AI 생성예술과 게임화 요소가 통합된 미술 교육 모델 개발 : 창의적 사고 향상)

  • In this study, we developed a virtual artist play lesson model using gamification concepts and AI-generated art programs to foster creative thinking in freshman art majors. Targeting first-year students in the Digital Media Art Department at Sichuan Film & Television University in China, this course aims to alleviate fear of artistic creation and enhance problem-solving abilities. The educational model consists of four stages: persona creation, creative writing, text visualization, and virtual exhibitions. Through persona creation, students established their artist identities, and by introducing game-like elements into writing experiences, they discovered their latent creativity. Using AI-generated art programs for text visualization, students gained confidence in their creations, and in the virtual exhibitions, they were able to enhance their self-esteem as artists by appreciating and evaluating each other's works. This educational model offers a new approach to promoting creative thinking and problem-solving skills while increasing learner engagement and interest. Based on these research findings, we expect that by developing and implementing educational strategies that cultivate creative thinking, more students will grow their artistic capacities and creativity, benefiting not only art majors but also students from various fields.

The Study on Casinos & Gaming Industry in South America Based on Market Analysis & Implications (남미 카지노 및 게이밍산업의 이해와 시사점)

  • The casinos and gaming sector consists of all forms of betting, including commercial, state-run, and charitable operations. The casinos segment comprises gambling in casinos, and includes gaming machine gambling where this occurs on casino premises. The gaming segment covers all other forms of gambling, including national and other lotteries, racing and sports betting, bingo, pachinko, and gaming machines where these are not located on casino premises. All values are stated in terms of gross gaming win. This is the total amount waged by customers minus the total amount paid out to customers as winnings, but before the payment of any applicable taxes, disbursements to charitable or other causes by games established for those purposes, or other expenses. The South American casinos & gaming sector posted strong growth in 2009 and this growth is expected to accelerate during the forecast period. The South American casinos & gaming sector generated total revenues of $9.6 billion in 2009, representing a compound annual growth rate(CAGR) of 15% for the period spanning 2005-2009. In comparison, the Argentinian and Chilian sectors grew with CAGRs of 17% and 21.9% respectively, over the same period, to reach respective values of $2.2 billion and $93.7 million in 2009. The other gaming segment was the sector's most lucrative in 2009, generating total revenues of $7.1billion, equivalent to 74.1% of the sector's overall value. The casino segment contributed revenues of $2.5billion in 2009, equating to 25.9% of the sector's aggregate revenues. The performance of the sector is forecast to accelerate, with an anticipated CAGR of 20.4% for the five year period 2009-2014, which is expected to drive the sector to a value of $24.3 billion by the end of 2014. Comparatively, the Argentinian and Chilian sectors will grow with CAGRs of 10.2% and 7.3% respectively, over the same period, to reach respective values of $3.6 billion and $133.6 million in 2014.

Development of multimedia Contents for Paintings and Orignal Forms of Shaman Spirit in Korean shamanism (한국 무속신앙에 나타난 무신도(巫神圖)와 무신원형의 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 개발 방안 연구)

  • From the aspect that design should respond to the necessity of various cultural bases, design is important to be grafted to Korean traditional culture. This circumstance leads this study to clarify the plan of multimedia contents development of 'paintings and original forms of shaman spirit' in Korean shamanism as one of realistic re-illumination works for Korean cultural original forms. The main study results are conduded as followings through literature reviews, internet searches and case studies. First, 'the planning process' necessary for the development of scenarios, characters and multimedia contents are suggested based on the establishment of hierarchy structure among shaman spirits which are classified into necromancer, human being, nature and life after death. Second, relating to execution of process above, it is suggested that 'the strategic. plan by business items and its genres' such as blessing fancy goods, characters for mobile or game, scenarios for game or animation, online digital exorcisms, e-cards, e-talismans and so on. Finally, as future industrialization concerns, 'the industrial development plan' is suggested which can be extended to scenario-based original businesses such as game scenarios for online or mobile and heroism fictions. The study results highlight the fact that multimedia design approach are considered for expanding the target and scope of creative material for Korean cultural original forms. Future researches, based on the results of the study, are expected to be expanded to the various designerly-thinking approaches into 'Shaman' themes and rather to be re-illuminated to the development of Korean cultural original forms as a nation's strategic standpoint.

  • In recent years, the hub and spoke strategy has been strengthened in accordance with the enlargement of ships. As the needs of the port users change, the ports are also becoming larger and modernized. Under these circumstances, changes in existing port operations are expected. One example is the movement to promote economic and operational effectiveness through the joint operation of small and medium-sized operators. This study analyzed the effect of the association of small and medium-sized operators on Busan New Port in terms of economy. Additionally, the issue of cost allocation within the association of operators was presented through the game theory. As a result, in the case of operating jointly rather than divided into five operating companies as of the present, it has been shown to have a cost reduction effect in terms of operating companies. Considering the use of the Proportional method, the Shapley Value, and the Nucleus method in allocating the costs among the operators participating in the coalition, the Shapley Value method was the most suitable method in this study.

  • This study evaluates the importance of negotiation agendas and the possibility of reaching the Korea-China FTA agreement. It assesses the current situation of trade barriers in the audiovisual service sector of China and then examines a survey of practitioners and experts to screen important regulations. The results are as follows: First, considering the national economic situation in Korea and the environment of the Chinese trade barrier, an important agenda is to enable the direct service of online games and to reach a co-production agreement in the audiovisual service sector. Second, an agenda regarding the co-production agreement of an audio-visual service sector has high potential to be realized, followed by agendas regarding online game and music services. In the broadcasting and film service sectors, with their high cultural identity, a mutual cooperative approach is needed. Korea bringing up the agenda regarding online service may allow it to gain a net benefit for the next FATs. To realize a mutual cooperative approach, it is necessary to form a frame of mutual interests and cooperation through a co-production agreement of audio-visual service. If both countries agree to acknowledge co-produced content as each country's contents, both would benefit.

  • Recently the telemedicine platform firms which have been temporarily permitted since COVID-19 outbreak have increasingly provided online prescription drugs delivery, causing concerns among incumbent providers of medicine, some of whom began to take aggressive actions again them. In this study, using game theoretic market entry - deterrence model, we show that although the incumbent medicine provider can effectively deter entry by the telemedicine platform firms by its preemptive action, accommodation could be a optimal action when telemedicine platform firms already have penetrated the market with their being permitted to do business due to the COVID-19. However, for the incumbent to cooperate for the successful change in the retail market for medicines, policies like placing a ceiling on the maximum number of taking prescriptions by the pharmacists a day in the telemedince platform network, providing favorable exposure of community pharmacists on the telemedicine platform user interface, and allowing community pharmacies to participate as shareholders of the telemedicine platform firms in its initial public opening of capital, are suggested.

  • The Korean Peninsula is put in a position to carry out a highly strategic game vis-a-vis nK, which is asserting itself as a nuclear power amongst Northeast Asia's complex dynamics. While the international community recognizes nK's possession of nuclear weapons as released secret based on nK's three nuclear tests, shrewd strategic thinking is needed by ROK to secure itself as a non-nuclear nation in order to assume a responsible role to the international community, while simultaneously being ready to respond at all times for nK's military provocations. ROK must continue with its twofold strategy, by firm response to military confrontation with nK and maintaining flexible policy of tolerance in the areas of economy and ethnicity. Various strategic options to overcome nK's nuclear threats have been presented to ROK, whose possession of nuclear weapons have been difficult, and nK's nuclear capability is a real threat to ROK's national security. We must be able to respond to nK's nuclear threats strictly from ROK's national security perspective. This thesis aims to propose a response policy for nK's nuclear capability and nK's nuclear attack based on analysis of such nuclear damage, ROK Government's response posture against nK's nuclear threats, centered around ROK Government's non-military response posture.

  • Smartphones which represent to the Mobile convergence, is the rapid spread, more than half of Korean are using. Accordingly, mobile apps that run on smartphone market is growing at a rapid pace. However, most studies on smartphone and mobile apps are focusing on the technology acceptance and improvement of function. So, this study is to suggest promotion strategy to each mobile apps, analyzed through three phases. First phase is the frequency analysis that deduct most frequently used mobile apps. Second phase is association rules that found to associate between mobile apps. Finally, to analyze deduction techniques for acquired 5 mobile apps to target variable in pre-2 phase use total 35 variables of 20 mobile apps categories, demographic variables, amount of PC, movie, music, book, game usage and fees per month.

  • This paper proposes a Cournot model that can be used to analyze the strategic behaviors of generation companies which try to maximize their profits in an imperfectly competitive electricity and carbon markets. The proposed model consists of two parts. First, the strategic behaviors of generation companies are modeled based on the Cournot theory. Second, the market operation is modeled based on the assumption that the market operator tries to maximize the total social welfare in consideration of environmental welfare. To find the Nash equilibrium of the proposed model, the two-level optimization technique is used. The proposed method has been applied to an illustrative example of oligopolistic markets. We found that the proposed method has strong potential to analyze the influence of the strategic biddings of the generation companies and the impact of renewable generator on markets where the competitiveness of the markets is not fully developed.
