Study on Factors that Influence Cancer Screening Rate in Urban and Rural Areas (도.농촌지역 암 검진 수검률 영향 요인 연구)

  • In this research, the factor having an effect on the cancer check inspection through the cancer check service and process, of desiring against the cancer check examinee living in the illustration and rural area environment, and analysis about the result tries to be sought for. This research performed the frequency analysis, cross analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis and came to the conclusion. The examination reservation procedure, medical team professionalism, examination contents of notice, result of medical examination explanation, examination notification date, and examination duration of subscription was analyzed as the significance factor as the factor reached to the urban district inspection. And the examination contents of notice, total examination time, result of medical examination explanation, medical team professionalism, examination duration of subscription, and process of the medical examination explanation as to rural area, was analyzed as the significance factor. The cancer check was inspected according to the illustration and farming village and there was no big difference in the significance factor having an effect on the inspection. However, the Profiling about the examination procedure and service has to be continuously performed. And the differentiation strategy and policy considering the illustration and fairness between rural areas are required.

In-Depth Interview of Parents Experienced First Infant Oral Examination (1차 영유아 구강검진을 경험한 부모의 심층면담)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the experience of the parents who examined the first infant oral examination and to understand how to improve the practical oral examination business. In-depth interviews were held with 10 parents who did the first infant oral examination, and their children's age was less than 18 to 29 months. The following conclusions were obtained by deriving the concepts and categories of the recorded contents. First, the main reason for the unsatisfactory examination of this study was that it was formal. Parents were disappointed in the fact that they did not look at the mouth of the child at the same time as it was fast and they said because it is carried out free of charge, it is more formal than the examination for general dental treatment. Second, most of the participants questioned whether they should resume infant oral examination. Third, it appears that the tooth number or dental terminology in the result notice is difficult to understand. Fourth, the opinion on the improvement of the infant oral examinations was should provided that the oral health management information after examination and the direct oral health management method education at the examination. In addition, we identified the need for parents' oral health care education for infants. Therefore, it has been confirmed that in order for the infant oral examination and young children to be practically carried out, the problems should be improved by collecting opinions of the parents. Also it is necessary to search for efficient business management method through repeated research related to infant oral examination.

Influential Factors upon Missing Tooth of some Industrial Workers (일부 산업장 근로자의 결손치에 관한 영향요인)

  • This study was carried out in order to offer basic data available for forming the better oral health habit by closely examining a cause for industrial workers' tooth loss. It analyzed correlation in missing teeth with general characteristics, subjective oral health recognition, habit related to oral health, and oral symptom targeting 6,976 of production workers and office workers who work at 49 industrial places where are located in Gumi city of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province from June 1, 2009 to December 31, thereby having obtained the following conclusions. 1. The higher age group led to the higher ratio of missing teeth. The ratio of missing teeth was lower in a case of having been removed plaque than having not been removed plaque. 2. The ratio of missing teeth was high in a case of having dental caries and periodontal disease. The ratio of missing teeth was high in a case of having smoked in the past or in a case of smoking now. 3. The ratio of missing teeth was high in a case of having less toothbrushing frequency and in a case of not using dental floss or interdental brush. 4. The ratio of missing teeth was high when a tooth is throbbing and when tongue and cheek are throbbing in addition to pain and bleeding in gum. 5. The ratio of missing teeth was high in a case of having unpleasant bad breath. The above results are expected to be likely conducive to offering basic data necessary for developing the oral health educational program for industrial places that can promote and maintain workers' oral health, and for improving oral health program and system available for promoting and maintaining workers' oral health hereafter.
