A Study on Comparision of the Quantity of Phoria as Way to Separation of Binocular Fusion (양안융합의 분리 시간에 따른 사위량 비교에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: This is a comparative experimental study on the amount of phoria by the removal time of binocular fusion. In this study, three tests were used for phoria test like Howell test, Thorington test and developed 3D polarizing test. Methods: In this study, it was considered the removal time of binocular fusion for measuring phoria. The three methods were used for measuring quantity of phoria: Howell test, Thorington test and developed 3D Polarizing test. The measurements progressed quickly to avoid eye-strain. So we designed the test charts for marking 3D display modules and the apparatus inserted lenses, like Maddox lens and prism, which are compatible with three phoria tests. The phoria at the moment separation was measured when the binocular fusion was broken through the apparatus and the that at the stable separation was measured when activity of the separated two images like indicated box and figure on horizontal axis stopped. Results: There were statistically significant difference between quantity of phoria at moment separation and that at stable separation. Amount of phoria at moment separation was relatively larger than amount of that at stable separation. In result in exophoria, the quantity of phoria at moment separation was higher than that at stable separation, and in phoria measured by developed 3D polarizing test, it shows the similar results at two condition. Conclusions: For exophoria, the amount of phoria at moment separation of binocular fusion was relatively larger than that at stable separation. The amount of difference between phoria values at moment separation and that at stable separation was alike among three phoria tests. Usually in working, there is no distinction between moment separation and stable separation. But there were definitely the difference between two ways to separate binocular fusion. Therefore, it is need for writing on prescription test name for measuring phoria and condition of separation of binocular fusion.

이동식 진공 배기장치를 이용한 하나로 냉중성자원 가스블랭킷계통의 기능시험

  • 하나로 노심에서 발생하는 열중성자를 감속재인 액체수소층을 통과시켜 냉중성자를 생산 하는 설비인 냉중성자원 시설은 초경량 합금, 신소재 및 DNA 구조연구 등의 첨단기술연구에 유용한 도구로 활용될 계획이며, 현재 원자력연구원에서는 냉중성자원 시설을 개발하여 제작 설치하였고, 이 장치들에 대해 기능시험을 수행하였다. 냉중성자원 시설계통에서 가스블랭킷계통은 수소의 외부누출을 방지하고, 진공용기를 포함한 수조내기기 내부로 공기 및 경수가 유입되지 않도록 하여 냉중성자원을 보호하기 위한 역할을 수행한다. 또한 가스블랭킷계통의 구성은 가스공급장치($N_2$ 및 He 가스 실린더로부터 가스공급 기능), 질소충압탱크, 진공박스, 수소박스, 밸브박스 및 각 구역별 독립 배관 등으로 되어있다. 이동식 진공배기장치는 가스블랭킷계통에서 사용하기 위해 특수하게 제작된 장치로서 진공계통과 수소계통의 초기충진 시 또는 계통배기 시 잔류가스를 제거하거나, 블랭킷가스의 오염검사를 위한 시료채취 기능 등을 수행할 수 있도록 되어있다. 본 논문에서는 냉중성자원장치 내의 수소계통 및 진공계통의 배관과 기기를 외기와 경수로부터 안전하게 격리시키기 위해서 제작설치 적용된 가스블랭킷계통에서 이동식 진공배기장치를 이용하여 잔류가스 제거방법과 각 가스블랭킷 영역으로부터 시료를 채취하여 수행된 산소농도 분석에 대해 기술하였다.

A Study on the Gonads Exposure Dose of Upper Extremity Examinations in Sitting Position (앉은 자세 상지 X-ray 검사(Sitting Position Upper Extremity X-ray Examinations)에서 피폭선량 저감화 연구)

  • Sitting position upper extremity X-ray examinations (SUEX) is the most widely used patient positioning method for upper extremity X-ray examinations. For this method, the radiation dose is considerable for relatively less interesting organs. We investigated whether patients need to wear the apron during the examination or not. We also studied the examination methods which can reduce the radiation dose. The results showed that radiation dose was reduced as the distance of source to patient becomes longer and the thickness of object grows higher.

  • HVDC System의 핵심 구성요소인 대용량 전력변환장치의 신뢰도를 확보하기 위해서는 시스템 설치 전에 전력변환장치를 구성하는 각 Thyrister Valve의 동작성능 검증이 매우 중요하다. 이러한 검증은 모든 Thyrister Valve를 대상으로 한 전수검사를 기본으로 하므로 Thyrister Valve의 성능시험장치 개발이 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 Full Power 시험과 유사한 특성을 얻기 위한 시험장치의 용량을 최소화하기 위하여 STC(Synthetic Test Circuit)기법을 사용한 2kV, 200A급의 STC를 Simplorer6.0프로그램을 이용하여 구현하였으며, STC의 동작특성을 모의 하였다.

  • Ignition Safe-Arm-Unit using micro-electromechanical systems(MEMS) for propulsion system was designed and manufactured. MEMS was designed according to the design schemes for conventional mechanical elements. By comparing the design results and the test data of the prototype, small discrepancy was found, which is due to the nonlinear characteristic of the structure and the machining accuracy. The applicability of MEMS for Safe-Arm-Unit was proved by testing MEMS which is assembled into SAU.

  • 정밀한 작업 공정을 요구하는 산업 현장의 전압 새그 보상이나 각종 장비의 전력 품질 시험을 하기 위해서는 전압 새그 발생의 환경 요건이 필요하다. 그러나 3상 계통 전압은 사용자가 임의로 전압 새그를 발생시킬 수 없기 때문에 장비의 성능 검사 및 각종 시험을 하기가 어렵다. 현재, 여러 가지 전압 새그 보상장치가 개발되고 있으며 이러한 장비의 성능을 검증하기 위해서는 가격이나 품질 면에서 우수한 전압 새그 발생기가 필요하다. 전압 새그 발생기를 통한 시험으로 전압 새그 보상장치의 신뢰도 향상과 예기치 못한 상황에 대한 대책을 강구할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 전압 새그의 크기와 위상, 그리고 발생하는 구간을 조절할 수 있는 3상 전압 새그 발생장치를 설계하고 그 동작을 3kVA 프로토타입을 제작하여 확인하였다.

LED sign board design using solar cells (태양전지를이용한 LED 표식장치 설계)

  • This paper presents the design of the LED sign board system installed on the exterior of a building and powered by a photovoltaic system. A grid connected photovoltaic system has been designed with the capacity estimate of the load, battery and power. After the luminance and uniformity of LED load has been checked, the sign board and the solar cell modules have been installed. The performance and problems occurred during the field test for the photovoltaic LED sign board system have been analyzed.

Analysis of the Spatial Dose Rates According to the Type of Radiation Source Used in Multi-bed Hospital Room (다인병실에서 이용되는 방사선원의 종류에 따른 공간선량률 분석)

  • Medical radiation offers significant benefits in diagnosing and treating patients, but it also generates unnecessary radiation exposure to those nearby. Accordingly, the objective of the present study was to analyze spatial dose rate according to types of radiation source term in multi-bed hospital rooms occupied by patients and general public. MCNPX was used for geometric simulation of multi-bed hospital rooms and radiation source terms, while the radiation source terms were established as whole body bone scan patients and imaging using a portable X-ray generator. The results of simulation on whole body bone scan patients showed $3.46{\mu}Sv/hr$ to another patient position, while experimental results on imaging using a portable X-ray generator showed $1.47{\times}10^{-8}{\mu}Sv/irradiation$ to another patient position in chest imaging and $2.97{\times}10^{-8}{\mu}Sv/irradiation$ to another patient position in abdomen imaging. Multi-bed hospital room, unnecessary radiation generated in the surrounding patients, while legal regulations and systematic measures are needed for radiation exposure in multi-bed hospital rooms that are currently lacking in Korea.

Detection of a Surface-Breaking Crack Using the Surface Wave of a Laser Ultrasound (레이저 초음파의 표면파를 이용한 표면결함 측정)

  • A laser ultrasonic inspection system is a non-contact inspection device which generates and measures ultrasounds by using laser beams. A laser ultrasonic inspection system provides a high measurement resolution because the ultrasonic signal generated by a pulse laser beam has a wide-band spectrum and the ultrasonic signal is measured from a small focused spot of a measuring laser beam. In this paper, we have investigated the detection techniques of a surface-breaking crack by using the laser ultrasonic surface waves. A crack acts as a low pass filter whose cut-off frequency is lowered in proportion to the depth of a crack. And, the center frequency value of a spectrum is decreased in proportion to the depth of a crack. In this paper, we extracted the crack information by using the frequency attenuation from the normalized transfer function spectrum of a surface-breaking crack. Also, we effectively measured the crack depth by using the decreasing value of the center frequency from a crack passed ultrasonic signal. The proposed measuring techniques of crack depths provided more precise information than the amplitude measuring technique.

The Solution to the Limitation of the Conventional Digital X-ray System and Its Feasibility Test (디지털 X선 촬영장치의 한계 검사 개선 및 유용성 평가)

  • In this study, we conducted a survey on the limited examinations of the DR system to the 30 radiologic technologists engaging in the clinical sites and university hospitals in Daejeon metropolitan city from Oct. 15, 2012 to Nov. 15, 2012. Based on the survey results, we propose the conceptual design of a supplementary table for the conventional DR system to extend the examination capability and overcome the limitation of DR system. And, we evaluated the convenience and usefulness of the proposed table by applying it to five subjects. Ten experts were involved to evaluate the clinical usefulness of the obtained images. In this study, the experimental results show the feasibility to overcome the limited examination of the conventional DR system, and the proposed supplementary table may be beneficial to patients and hospitals.
