Measurement of Nondestructive Residual Stress by Acoustoelasticity (음탄성에 의한 비파괴적 잔류응력 측정)

  • 국내에 건설되어 거의 20∼30년 가동되고 있는 발전설비, 석유화학 플랜트 등 거대설비 기기의 건전성(integrity) 및 신뢰성 확보와 잔존수명 예측을 위해서는 구조물 내부 또는 표층부에 존재하는 결 함의 특성을 아는 것과 함께 그 재료의 특정 부위에 어느정도의 응력이나 변형이 있는가를 아는 것이 매우 중요하다. 일반적으로 강 용접부의 비파괴적 결함검출에는 주로 SV파(vertically shear wave)와 SH파(horizontally shear wave)라 불리는 횡파를 이용한 초음파사각탐상법이 실용화되어 이용되고 있다. 그러나 비파괴적인 방법에 의한 실험적인 잔류응력 측정, 변형해석법에는 전기 저항 및 자기 스트레인 게이지법, X선회절법, 광탄성법(photoelasticity), 모아레(Mohr's)법, 레이저스펙클(Laser speackle)법, 응 력도료법, Barkhausen Nosise법, Caustics법 등이 제시되어 있으나 그 유용성 면에서는 아직 해결되야할 문제가 많이 남아 있는 실정이다. 응력이나 변형을 해석하는 방법으로 이론적 방법, 계산적 방법 실험적 방법이 잇다. 이론적 방법에는 재료 역학적으로 취급하는 방법, 탄성론 등이 있고, 계산적인 방법에는 유한요소법이 있지만, 이론적 방법이나 계산적 방법만으로는 해석이 불가능한 경우가 많기 때문에 실험 적 방법이 필요하게 된다. 이 글에서는 파괴 시험 또는 다른 비파괴평가기술에 비해 간편한 측정, 높은 측정정도, 시험결과 도출의 신속성, 검사비용의 절감 등 많은 장점을 가지고 있고 실험적으로 유용성이 일부 검증되고 있는 음탄성법(Acoustoelasticity)에 의한 잔류응력 측정법에 관해 소개하고자 한다.TEX> mg/L(평균 49 mg/L)로 비교적 안정적인 처리효율을 보여주었다. 본 연구결과 HVC 공정은 화학약품 사용량의 절감 및 이에 따른 화학슬러지 발생량의 감소를 기대 할 수 있는 친환경기술로 유지관리비를 최소화할 수 있는 장점이 있었다. 않은 사람들 중 미래의 검진실행의지에 건강소식지가 영향을 미친 경우는 48.7%였다. 보건교육을 받은 후 유방암 자가검진 실천율은 사업군에서 53.9%로 받기 전의 27.3%보다 증가하였으나 대조군의 경우는 별 차이가 없었다. 연령별로는 60대가 가장 높았고 사업군에서 검진율의 증가분은 30대가 가장 컸다. 교육수준별로는 사업군은 고졸이, 대조군은 전문대졸이 가장 높았고 사업군에서 검진율의 증가분은 고졸에서 가장 컸다. 보건교육 후 유방암과 관련된 건강지식의 정도는 사업군이 3.7점으로 대조군보다 유의하게 높았으며, 유방암 자가검진법을 실천하는 사람들의 동기는 ‘일반 대중매체의 영향’이 가장 많았으며 건강소식지가 동기인 경우도 20.4%였다. 사업군에서 건강소식지가 유방암 자가검진법 실천에 영향을 미친 경우가 79.6%였으며 유방암 자가검진법에 관한 보건교육을 받고 실천하지 않은 사람들 중 미래의 실천의지에 건강소식지가 영향을 미친 경우는 43.6%였다. 이상의 소견에서 지역주민을 대상으로 인쇄매체를 통한 보건교육은 인쇄물만으로도 쉽게 실천 할 수 있는 유방암 자가검진법이 가장 효과적이었으며, 자궁암검진에 관해서도 검진을 받을 수 있도록 지역사회의 보건의료의 하부구조를 정비하여 제도적 장치를 마련하고 정보를 제공한다면 자궁암검진 실천율도 증가할 것이다.고 12.9% 의 발달율을 보여 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이상의 결과로 보아 핵이식 수정란을 효율적으로 생산하기 위하여

Dynamic Visual Acuity and Dynamic Stereoacuity of Athletes and Nonathletes (운동선수와 대학생 남녀의 동체 시력 및 동적 입체시에 관한 비교 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to obtain the fundamental data of dynamic visual acuity and dynamic stereoacuity. Methods: The subjects were 20 athletes (high school baseball player) and 40 nonathletes (20 male, 20 female). We assessed static visual acuity, dynamic visual acuity, static stereoacuity and dynamic stereoacuity using rotating mirror projection system and computer program. Results: Three groups had similar static visual acuity and static stereoacuity. On the other hand, the dynamic visual acuity and dynamic stereoacuity showed statistically significant differency. The mean dynamic visual acuity for athletes was 174.80${\pm}$28.70 deg/sec, 137.10${\pm}$16.54 deg/sec for male nonathletes and 111.59${\pm}$15.40 deg/sec for female nonathletes. The mean dynamic stereoacuity for athlets was 234.55${\pm}$19.64, 249.05${\pm}$8.86 for male nonathletes and 247.10${\pm}$14.89 for female nonathletes. The group of athletes had better dynamic visual acuity and dynamic stereoacuity. Conclusions: If the result of this study apply to sports, it will be very useful to improve sports performance.

진공 측정 기술 개발 동향

  • 이번 성원에드워드 학술상 수상자 선정은, 진공기술의 중요성에 공감하고 진공기술 발전을 위한 노력을 독려하자는 진공학회 회원들의 의견을 모아주신 결과로 생각한다. 본 발표에서는 그동안 한국표준과학연구원에서 수행해 온 진공 기술 연구 및 산학연 협력 네트워크 활동을 소개하고자 한다. 진공기술은 진공 환경을 발생시키고 측정 제어하며, 만들어진 진공 환경 안에서 원하는 작업을 할 수 있도록 하는 기술을 말한다. 우리나라의 주력산업인 반도체 및 디스플레이의 경우 그 생산 설비의 1/3이상이 진공 장비이며 진공 공정을 통해 만들어진다. 때문에 우리나라에서는 주력 산업분야나 그 전후방 산업의 경쟁력 강화 측면에서 진공기술 개발 중요성이 아주 크다. 한국표준과학연구원은 국가 대표 측정 기관으로 국가 측정 표준을 확립하고 측정관련 과학기술을 연구개발하며 그 성과를 보급하여 경제발전과 과학기술발전, 그리고 삶의 질 향상에 기여하는 것을 임무로 하고 있다. 우리나라에서 진공 측정 표준에 대한 연구가 본격적으로 시작된 것은 1984년으로 불용 장비로 불하받은 펌프와 챔버, 그리고 차관으로 도입된 Capacitance Diaphragm Gauge 몇 개만으로 시작되었다. 지금은 발전을 거듭하여 초음파 간섭 수은주 압력계를 비롯하여 정적 팽창시스템, 동적 팽창 시스템 등 진공도 범위별 국가 표준기와 리크 표준기를 자체 개발 하여 국가 측정 표준을 확립하고 있다. 우리나라의 진공 표준 및 측정 능력은 국제기구인BIPM에서 실시하는 국가 측정능력 비교시험을 통해 세계 최고 수준으로 인정 받은 바 있으며 교정검사 등을 통해 산학연에 보급되고 있다. 진공 측정 및 표준기술을 토대로, 1999년부터 과학기술부와 산업자원부의 지원을 받아 산학연이 필요로 하는 펌프 계측기 부품 소재 및 공정 특성을 평가하기 위한 장치와 절차를 개발하였다. 이를 이용해 보급되는 기술 data는 진공부품 및 장비 국산화, 국산제품 신뢰성 제고, 검증부품 사용을 통한 장비 품질 향상, 독자적 장비 기술 확보, 생산품 품질관리 등에 쓰이고 있다. 한국 표준연구원 진공센터의 교정 및 시험 능력은 ISO 9001 인증 획득과 국제 전문가의 review를 거쳐, 국제기구 측정능력표에 등재되어 있어 국제적 신뢰도도 확보하고 있다. 정기적인 진공기술 교류회를 개최하고 진공기술 홈페이지를 운영 하는 등 산학연 정보 교류 및 협력 네트워킹 활성화를 위해 노력한 바 있으며 이 분야의 연구 성과는 '국가 우수 연구성과 100선'에 선정된 바 있고, 산업자원부 지정 '산학연 연계 우수사례' 첫 번째로 선정되기도 하였다. 2008년부터는 진공기술 교류회 등을 통한 네트워킹 활동으로 도출된 기술 수요에 따라 대기업과 중소기업 학교 연구소들과 함께 진공공정 실시간 측정 진단 기술과 센서 개발 연구, 그리고 이들 개발품의 신뢰성 검증 및 평가 기술 개발을 위해 노력하고 있다.

Principal Component analysis based Ambulatory monitoring of elderly (주성분 분석 기반의 노약자 응급 모니터링)

  • Embedding the compact wearable units to monitor the health status of a person has been analysed as a convenient solution for the home health care. This paper presents a method to detect fall from the other activities of daily living and also to classify those activities. This kind of ambulatory monitoring of the elderly and people with limited mobility can not only provide their general health status but also alarms whenever an emergency such as fall or gait has been occurred and a help is needed. A timely assistance in such a situation can reduce the loss of life. This work shows a detailed analysis of the data received from a chest worn sensor unit embedding a 3-axis accelerometer and depicts which features are important for the classification of human activities. How to arrange and reduce the features to a new feature set so that it can be classified using a simple classifier and also improving the classification resolution. Principal component analysis (PCA) has been used for modifying the feature set and afterwards for reducing the size of the same. Finally a Neural network classifier has been used to analyse the classification accuracies. The accuracy for detection of fall events was found to be 86%. The overall accuracy for the classification of Activities or daily living (ADL) and fall was around 94%.

A Study on the Distribution of Microorganisms in Department of Radiography (영상의학과 촬영실의 미생물 분포에 관한 연구)

  • To prevent the secondary hospital-acquired infection (cross-infection) from occurring in the general radiographic room in the department of radiology, the microbial measurement was conducted at the points making direct close contact with radiologists and patients. For the case of radiologists, the microbial measurement and incubation were focused on the x-ray tube handle of the radiation generating device, and, for the case of patients, the microbial measurement and incubation were focused on the chin supporting device, chest-contact point, and handle. Once disinfected with Aniosurf, the sterilized media were gathered and identified, and the microorganisms were confirmed. Based on the identification results, it was confirmed that the points making direct close contact with radiologists showed a value of 103 CFU for Proteus mirabilis, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Bacillus spp. and Candida spp., and that the points making direct close contact with patients showed a value of 103~5 CFU for Proteus mirabilis, Enterococcu faecium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, NTM(Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacteria) and Candida spp.. It was also confirmed that the types and number of microorganisms gathered from the points making direct close contact with patients were greater. Fortunately, most of the involved microorganisms were observed to be on the skin surface and are known to become extinct when disinfected in accordance with the hospital-acquired infection control rules. However, since even minor exposure to such microorganisms may be lethal for patients with reduced immunity, caution must be taken. In particular, since the points making contact with patients showed a high level of microbial measurement, it was thought that it would be necessary for radiologists and personnel having frequent access to strictly disinfect the parts, such as instruments and handles, making frequent contact with patients. The purpose of this study was to announce the importance of safe microbial control in the radiographic inspection room in hospital, and this study is expected to be used as the baseline data for preventing hospital-acquired secondary infection and Nth infectious diseases.

Process Risk Assessment for a Batch Condensation Reaction of Polyester Resin using K-PSR Technique (K-PSR 기법을 활용한 회분식 폴리에스터 축합반응에서의 공정 위험성 평가 연구)

  • Risk assessment and analysis for a medium-to-small sized chemical plant that manufactures a polyester resin by the process of batch-type condensation reaction was conducted using K-PSR technique which is one of the risk assessment methods used to implement the Process Safety Management System (PSM). K-PSR is a risk assessment technique developed by KOSHA to compensate for difficulties caused by the lack of infrastructure of medium-to-small sized chemical plants in the re-evaluation. To apply the K-PSR technique, the entire process of a selected chemical palnt was classified in two review sections, i.e., the condensation reaction process and the dilution/filtration process, and the potential risks of the process about these review sections were identified and classified based on the four guide-words (release, fire.explosion, process trouble, and injury). As the results of the research, refer to recommend of risk rating has been confirmed that non-destructive testing of old facilities and the preparation of LOTO procedures for the electrical equipments are necessary as specific measures to prevent the risk of release and fire.explosion. It was also shown that pressure gauges and thermometers should be installed on the hot-oil supply piping to minimize the process trouble, and exhausting hood should be installed to prevent potential injury.

A Study on the Braking Force Distribution of ADAS Vehicle (첨단 운전자 보조시스템 장착 차량의 브레이크 제동력 분배에 관한 연구)

  • Many countries have provided support for research and development and implemented policies for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for enhancing the safety of vehicles. With such efforts, the toll of casualties due to traffic accidents has decreased gradually. Korea has exhibited the lowest toll of casualties due to traffic accidents and is ranked 32nd in mortality among the 35 OECD members. Traffic accidents typically fall into three categories depending on the cause of the accident: vehicle to vehicle (V2V), vehicle to pedestrian (V2P), and vehicle independent. Most accidents are caused by drivers' mistakes in recognition, judgment, or operation. ADAS has been proposed to prevent and reduce accidents from such human errors. Moreover, the global automobile industry has recently been developing various safety measures, but on-road tests are still limited and contain various risks. Therefore, this study investigated the international standards for evaluation tests with regard to the assessment techniques in braking capability to cope with the limitations of on-road tests. A theoretical formula for braking force and a control algorithm are proposed, which were validated by comparing the results with those from an on-road test. These results verified the braking force depending on the functions of ADAS. The risks of on-road tests can be reduced because the proposed theoretical formula allows a prediction of the tendencies.

  • Three-dimensional shape measurement technology is used in various industries. Among them, optical three-dimensional shape measurement techniques based on the optical trigonometry are mainly used in the field of semiconductor product inspection, where large quantities of three-dimensional shape measurements are made daily in factories and fine measurements are also required. The light source and the drive circuit, which are components of three-dimensional measurement equipment based on this optical trigonometry, produce heat generated by prolonged operation, and may be exposed to conditions where the ambient temperature is not constant, resulting in temperature-induced measurement errors. In this study, the compensation method of the Thermal Errors for Phase Measuring Profilometry is proposed. Three-Dimensional Shape Measurement Equipment based on Phase Measuring Profilometry is implemented to measure the height of an object and ambient temperature for 10 Hours, and a regression line was obtained line by making simple linear regression using measured temperature and height values. This regression line was used to correct the error of the height measurement according to the temperature, and thermal error was from 139.88 um(Micrometer) to 13.12 um.

A Study on the Fabrication of bone Model X-ray Phantom Using CT Data and 3D Printing Technology (CT 데이터와 3D 프린팅 기술을 이용한 뼈 모형 X선 팬텀 제작에 관한 연구)

  • A 3-dimensional (D) printer is a device capable of outputting a three-dimensional solid object based on data modeled in a computer. These features are utilized in the bone model X - ray phantom production etc using CT data by fusing with the radiation science field. A bone model phantom was made using data obtained by CT scan of an existing Pelvis phantom, using PLA, Wood, XT-CF20, Glow fill, Steel filaments which are materials of Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) 3D printer.Measure Hounsfield Unit (HU) with images obtained by CT scan of the existing Pelvis phantom and five material phantoms made with 3D printer under the same conditions,SI and SNR were measured using a diagnostic X-ray generator, and each phantom was compared and analyzed.As a result, the X - ray phantom in the X - ray examination condition of the limb was found to be most suitable for the glow fill filament.The characteristics of the filament can be known to the base of this research and the practicality of X - ray phantom fabrication was confirmed.

DENTAL MANAGEMENT OF A 46-MONTH-OLD CHILD WITH PRADER-WILLI SYNDROME : A CASE REPORT (프래더-윌리 증후군을 가진 46개월 소아의 치과치료 : 증례보고)

  • Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) is a rare neurologic disorder with a prevalence 1/10,000-30,000. The cause of PWS is an abnormalities of chromosome 15q11.2-q13 which is an imprinting gene. Obesity and hyperphagia are characteristic features on a PWS adult. On the other hand, the birth weight, height and body mass index (BMI) of PWS infants are 15-20% lower than those of normal babies and there is a failure to thrive until 24-month-old. Most of PWS patients are treated under general anesthesia and conscious sedation. This case is a treatment of severe caries in a PWS 46 month-old child without general anesthesia and conscious sedation. He came to the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital at Gangdong, Seoul, Korea with a trauma history. He had a medical history with heart surgery and needed to take antibiotics prophylaxis. The luxated left upper primary tooth were removed and caries treatment were done as an outpatient without general anesthesia, conscious sedation.
