Korean Translation and Psychometric Properties of Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction Assistive Technology 2.0 (QUEST 2.0의 한국어 번안 및 심리측정학적 특징)

  • The purpose of this study was to translate QUEST 2.0 in Korean with valid translation process and to measure psychometric characteristics. Translation process was consist of six steps. Internal consistency was analyzed by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. Test-Retest reliability was analyzed by Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient. Internal consistency of 'Assistive device' was .88, 'Services' .92. There was no statistically significant difference according to repetitive measure. The spearman correlation coefficient was .64 for "Assistive Device" and .66 for "Services". This result reflects K-QUEST 2.0's (Korean-Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction Assistive Technology 2.0) safety, consistency, and predictability in aspect of measure. In this study, the K-QUEST 2.0 was translated into Korean and the reliability of K-QUEST 2.0 was tested. Decisively, the K-QUEST 2.0 can be applied to evaluate user satisfaction of assistive technology.

Learning Effect Analysis for Flipped Learning based Computer Use Instruction (플립드 러닝 기반 컴퓨터 활용 수업의 학습 효과 분석)

  • This paper suggests efficient learning improvement method of computer use instruction based on flipped learning. Traditional computer use classes were difficult to practice and collaborative with sufficient lectures. However, we used KOCW (Korea Open Courseware) as a footsteps in the class using the flipped learning method and learned in advance before entering the classroom. In the classroom, we conducted collaborative hands on class based on mutual discussion. After the instruction, we measured learning motivation and satisfaction by gender, grade, and major using the motivation test tool. The results showed that degree of attention awareness, perception of class relevance and perception of learning satisfaction were analyzed as 'very satisfied' and 'satisfied' more than 90%.

Effects of STEAM-based Mathematics Instruction on Elementary School Students' STEAM Attitudes (STEAM 기반 수학 수업이 초등학생의 융합적 태도에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the educational significance of STEAM in school mathematics education by developing a STEAM program that learns mathematical and scientific principles based on patterns and analyzing the effects of developed program. For this purpose, we conducted an experimental class based on the STEAM program developed. STEAM attitude and satisfaction were tested for 120 elementary school students. The results of this study are as follows. First, in terms of STEAM attitude, STEAM-based experimental instruction did not differ significantly in the second grade students. However, there were positive effects in the other five grades. Second, in terms of satisfaction, the proportion of students who were 'generally' was 89%. the proportion of students who were 'not generally' was 3%. Study subject students were found to be generally satisfied with the STEAM-based instruction.

The three-year comparative study of effects of STEAM education programs based on physical computing (3년간의 피지컬 컴퓨팅 기반의 STEAM 프로그램의 효과 비교 연구)

  • STEAM education introduced full-scale since 2011, it was reflected in the 2009 modified science curriculum. Partially it was decided not by result of study, but by the government policy. So practical study was needed for steam education. The researchers have studied effect of steam education based on physical computing from 2012 to 2014 on fourth grader. To study of effects of steam education, the researcher administer pre-to-post of science attitude test, science achievement test, logical ability test, psychological test for youth, satisfaction level test for school curriculum. The result shows that science attitude, logical ability, and satisfaction level for school curriculum of steam treatment group were enhanced. We conclude that steam education solve the proposed problem which low motivation and interest for science in comparison with science achievement.

A Study on the Development of ICT Curriculum for Private Security Workers (민간경비 종사자의 ICT직무교육과정 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study developed the ICT curriculum focusing on apartment security guards and analyzed the actual application results. We developed the educational contents and it designed ICT job courseware for elder education by considering and that designed in consideration of the computer attitudes and physical and cognitive characteristics of the elderly. The educational program was applied to the experimental group and the satisfaction and the educational effect were analyzed through the pre and post test results. As a result of the analysis, the satisfaction level of the education program was higher than the average of 4.00 points. The elderly informal education program was examined by using the qualitative assessment test tool before and after the application of the education program. Internet self-efficacy of experiment group, improvement of internet utilization ability, usage of internet use, personal information willingness, life correction, elimination of conflict among generations, self-confidence, and internet stress increased statistically significantly. These results suggest that the "Private Expense ICT Job Training" program developed in this study can be effective for elderly informatization and can be applied to other elderly education programs and contribute to promotion.

A Case Study on Basic Learning Ability Achievement in the Field of Basic Mechanics for Students with Poor Basic Learning Ability (기초학습능력 부진학생을 위한 기초역학 분야 기초학력강화 사례 연구)

  • Many undergraduate engineering freshmen have difficulties in attending major courses due to their poor basic academic ability. Regardless of the university level it is a reality in universities all over the country. In order to solve the problems of poor learning and basic academic ability, in this study, students who want to major in mechanical engineering at A university, it was confirmed the effectiveness and surveyed the satisfaction with the questionnaire. The pre and post test results showed that the A group improved scores by 40.1% and the B group by 18.9%. Questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews conducted after the completion of the program. It showed that the basic learning ability achievement program was highly satisfied with the overall average of 90.6% (4.53/5.0) and an useful program which not only contributed to the interest in the major subjects and the confidence in the academic achievement but also build positive relationships between the student and professor.

The Effect of Forest Therapy Program on Stress Reduction in Middle-aged Women (산림치유 프로그램이 중년 여성의 스트레스 저감에 미치는 영향)

  • Middle-aged women experience a lot of physical and mental stress during their developmental cycle. This stress reduces the quality of life because it leads to chronic pain and disease. Forest therapy is attracting attention as an alternative to this. Forest therapy refers to improving human health through the therapeutic elements of forests. Accordingly, this study was conducted to determine whether a sensory insight-based forest therapy program was effective in reducing stress in middle-aged women. For this purpose, middle-aged women who wanted to participate in the forest therapy program were recruited, 20 each were randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group, and pre- and post-tests were conducted. The forest therapy program consisted of 8 sessions of 6 hours based on sense and insight. The forest therapy program was held at Saryeoni Forest in Jeju, and the measurement tools were compared by measuring perceived stress, leisure satisfaction, and stress index through pulse wave testing. The results of the study showed that the forest therapy program lowered stress and improved leisure satisfaction.

College Students' Learning Satisfaction and Academic Achievement of Learning Nursing English Based on Smart Education (스마트 교육에 기반 한 전문대 학생들의 간호영어 학습에 대한 학습 만족도와 학업 성과)

  • The purpose of study is to comprehend learning satisfaction and academic achievement about the mobile program of nursing English learning constructed as a solution of supporting smart education in J college. The study was conducted from March to December in 2014. The subjects of study are 342 freshmen (39 males, 303 females) of nursing department. Learning satisfaction was analyzed through questionnaires, and academic achievement was investigated through test produced by 3 professors who majored in nursing. Resources analysis was implemented by SPSS 21.0. The study leads to 3 results from the macroscopic perspective. First, there is a difference of satisfaction with whole program between all factors such as mainly used devices, available times, available days, average hours of use per day, available places. Also, items under program satisfaction (subject or content, availability, academic ability) has a difference. Lastly, change of achievement scores by each time was significant.

The Impact of Make-up Education Program on Elderly Women's Make-up Satisfaction and Self-esteem the Korea (화장교육프로그램이 노인여성의 화장만족도 및 자긍심에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to identify the impact of make-up education program on the level of satisfaction with make-up and the self-esteem of 80 elderly women. This education was provided during 8 weeks from May 28 to 16 July 2010 to women over 60 who were visiting P seniors welfare center, in D city. Some people fell out of the research, so finally the experimental group was 34 and the control group 36. During this research seven methods of make-up, including that of light make up were taught to the experimental group. Comparing the satisfaction and self-esteem levels before and after education. The result was that through the education the levels of their satisfaction with make-up and of their self-esteem were shown to have increased (p<0.05), significantly. We hope that through this research old people's healthy living and their social confidence can better converge.

Influence of Korean Traditional Dance Exercise upon Mental Health and Life Satisfaction in Elderly Women (우리춤 체조가 노인여성의 정신건강과 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm the influence of Korean traditional dance exercise upon mental health and life satisfaction in elderly women. Data collection was performed from June 2010 to September targeting totally 180 elderly women with 90 people who were carried out Korean traditional dance exercise, and 90 people who weren't carried out. As a result of the effect of Korean traditional dance exercise on mental health, the Korean traditional dance exercise had positive influence upon mental health and life satisfaction. There was statistical difference somatization, obsession, and depression between Korean traditional dance exercise group and no Korean traditional dance exercise group.
