우리 정부가 복지사회 구현의 일환으로서 관심을 가지고 국민의 건강을 위하여 오늘날과 같이 많은 노력을 기울이고 있은 적은 일찍이 없었으며 제오차 경제사회개발계획에서도 일차보건의료와 의료보험의 조기정착 그리고 인구대책에 대한 정부의 강한 의지를 표명하고 있어 국민건강증진과 사회발전을 위하여 국가보건정책을 크게 향상시키려는 노력을 계속 모색하고 있음을 알 수 있다.

한국건강관리협회가 무료 건강관리 공개강좌를 시작한지도 벌써 4년이 넘었다. 그동안 지역주민들의 건강의식 함양에 많은 기여를 해온 이 공개강좌는, 그래서 해가 거듭할 수록 많은 주민들의 호응을 받고 있다. 서울지부에서 시작되어, 이제는 전국 지부에서 많게는 '월 2회, 작게는 월 1회 정도 실시할 수 있게 되었다. 앞으로 본부를 중심으로 지역순회 건강관리 공개강좌도 계획할만큼 국민들과 가까이 있는 건협 공개강좌에 대해 소개한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore Women University students' supporting awareness, knowledge and attitude toward the elderly. After obtaining the participants' consent form, survey was performed with structured questionnaire about characteristics, supporting awareness, knowledge and attitude toward the elderly. Collected data were analyzed with SPSS 13.0 program, which was used for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficients. The result of this study were as follows. 1) Supporting awareness of participants was 115.50±13.19. Participants' knowledge was 10.21±2.90 and attitude was 84.19±12.19. 2) More knowledge and more positive attitude toward elderly were significant related to higher supporting awareness. 3) Supporting awareness of participants was significantly different by religion, monthly pocket money, religious service, supporting parents in the future, living with parents-in-law, though of ideal support system, father-grandmother(paternal) relationship, mother-grandfather(paternal) relationship, mother-grandmother(paternal) relationship and mother-grandfather(maternal). The finding of this study gives useful information for developing an educational management program for women.

The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of the Injury based on the 7th National Data on the National Health and Nutrition Survey, identify the relationship between general characteristics, safety awareness, health status, injury, and identify the factors that affect the occurrence of injury. The subjects were selected for the final analysis of 1,608data. For the analysis, frequency analysis, cross analysis, and multiple logistic regression analysis were performed. the results of the study show that in the young-old elderly, gender(woman), marital status(separated of divorced), lower the awareness of safety, body discomfort, sickness, and in-outpatient, Annual unmet medical service experienced are higher the occurrence of injury. Therefore, as a prevention education that lowers the incidence of injury. selective education is required for the Young-old and Old-old elderly, and legal penalties for drunk driving on various means of transportation and an integrated approach to strengthening and education is required.

The purpose of this study is to examine the causal relationship between self-efficacy and safety consciousness of health belief factors and how they affect the disaster prevention behavior of construction workers using TBM. To this end, a research model is presented that applies the main variables of the Health Belief Theory, a social psychological health behavior change model developed to predict and explain health-related behaviors. To empirically verify the research model of this study, a survey was conducted among construction workers who have experience in using TBMs for chemical plant construction. The results showed that, first, the perceived severity of construction workers utilizing chemical plant construction has a significant effect on self-efficacy and safety consciousness; second, the perceived probability of construction workers utilizing chemical plant construction has a significant effect on self-efficacy and safety consciousness. Third, the perceived obstacles of construction workers utilizing chemical plant construction have a significant effect on self-efficacy and safety consciousness. Fourth, the perceived benefits of construction workers utilizing chemical plant construction were found to have a significant effect on self-efficacy and safety awareness. The purpose of this study is to reduce critical accidents through disaster prevention behavior of chemical plant construction workers through TBM.

건강관리 성공사례담을 처음 취재하고 기사화하기 시작한 것은 ‘96년 2월의 일이었다. 그 후 총 47회에 걸쳐 각종 질병을 조기 발견, 치료한 사례나 집단 건강 검사가 행해지는 현장을 찾아다니면서, 기자는 정기 건강 검사를 통한 질병의 조기 발견과 치료의 중요성을 수 없이 체험할 수 있었다. 뿐만 아니라 우리나라 보건 의료의 현황과 국민의 보건 의식 수준 등 많은 부분에서 앞으로 우리가 해야할 일은 무엇인가를 깨닫는 계기가 되기도 했다. 이번 호에서는 4년여의 취재활동을 통해 느꼈던 점을 몇가지 얘기함으로서 건강관리 성공 사례담 취재의 원래의 목적대로 앞으로의 국민 건강관리 정착을 위한 노력에 작으나마 도움이 되기를 바란다.

더러는 지역적인 조건 때문에 또 더러는 일에 쫓겨 자신의 건강을 돌볼 틈이 그다지 많지 않은 농민들. 우리의 땅을 지키며, 우리의 식량을 만들어내는 그들의 중요성을 생각할 때, 이것은 그저 그냥 넘어갈 문제가 아니다. 회원에 대한 공제 사업의 일환으로 건강검사를 실시하고 있는 농협의 활동은 이러한 의미에서 매우 중요한 일이라 생각된다. 특히 ' 88년 부녀회원 건강검사를 시작으로 매년 농민들에게 혜택을 주고 있는 개봉 농업협동조합은 농민과 농협 간의 남다른 협동심과 질서의식으로 타의 모범이 된다고 해서 이번에 찾아가 그들이 하고 있는 농협사업과 건강검사에 대해 들어봤다.

뇌혈관 장애로 인한 질환을 일컫는 총칭으로서 뇌혈관에 순환장애가 일어나 갑자기 의식장애와 함께 반신불수를 초래하는 급격한 뇌혈관병을 뇌졸중이라고 말하며, 구미에서는 ‘벼락같은 강타’를 받았다는 ‘Stroke나 Apoplexy'라하고 한국에서는 옛날부터 ’바람 맞았다‘는 뜻으로 중풍이라고도 말한다.

현대를 살아가는 사람들에게 있어 ‘건강’이라는 것은 그 어느 때 보다도 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 잘수록 다양하게 발견되는 질병의 양상이 더 이상 방치 되어서는 안 될 상황에까지 이르렀기 때문일지도 모른다. 그래서 모든 측면에 있어서 예방의 중요성은 더 크게 가치를 부여 받고 있는 것이다. 그러나 그 예방이라는 것이 범국민적인 공유 의식과 행위로 이어지기 위해서는 아직도 많은 노력이 필요하다. 본란에서는 앞으로 1년간 예방에 대한 이해를 돕기 위한 내용을 싣게 될 것이다.
