The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of ego-resilience and job stress on job satisfaction of the rehabilitation teachers of residential facility for the disabilities. For this purpose, 193 questionnaires were collected and used for final analysis. Statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used in the SPSS 23.0 statistical program. The results of the analysis are as follows; First, Levels of perception of ego-resilience and job satisfaction were higher than medium level, and job stress was lower than medium level. Second, Job satisfaction of the subjects were higher as the interpersonal relationship, were lower as the stress of personal role and daily work, relationship with facility and supervisor, and client relationship. These results suggest that ego-resilience and job stress are closely related to job satisfaction and that it is effective to increase ego-resilience and reduce job stress as a way to increase job satisfaction of rehabilitation teachers. Since rehabilitation teachers provide human services, they need support from peer counseling, education, and programs because their emotional exhaustion appears in interpersonal relations.
Objective : This study was to apply a cognitive rehabilitation group program based on sensory activity in patients with dementia living in a facility and to check its effectiveness on cognitive function, depression, and quality of life (QOL). Methods : Sensory-based cognitive rehabilitation group programs (20 sessions) were conducted for eight elderly with dementia over the age of 65 living in a nursing facility located in H-gun, Gangwon-do. The participants' cognitive function, depression level, and QOL were evaluated before and after the program. Results : The mean of Mini-Mental State Examination-Dementia Screening increased; however, there was no statistically significant difference. In contrast, the mean post-test score of the Subjective Memory Complaints Questionnaire decreased, and there was a statistically significant difference (p < .05). The mean post-evaluation score of Short Geriatric Depression Scale measured to confirm the decrease in depression compared to the pre-evaluation score, but there was no statistically significant difference. Finally, the mean post-evaluation score of the World Health Organization QOL assessment instrument-Brief confirmed the change in the QOL, and there was a statistically significant difference (p < .001). Conclusion : This study will provide the basis for suggesting the usefulness of developing a sensory activity-based cognitive rehabilitation group program for dementia patients living in facilities.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the program for enhancing the interaction capacity between the child care institutions and the original family (associate) and propose a program suitable for the child care institutions. The program was conducted at two institution located in Seoul and Cheongju, and the process evaluation and outcome evaluation were conducted. As a result of the satisfaction of each program, it was found that the satisfaction of the program sharing the various experiences or sharing the small daily life was high, and it was positive for the improvement of the relationship. Parents showed improvement in the post -test rather than the pre-test. Through qualitative assessment, positive evaluations were made in programs where the family participated in activities that could not be done together in the camp or everyday life, rather than just one-time activity programs.
The purpose of this research is to analyze care types in long-term care facilities with the view of Active Ageing by using Q-methodology. In-depth interviews were conducted to grasp various thoughts on care of long-term care facilities in three areas of WHO's active aging: health, safety, and participation. 35 people participated in the interview, including the elderly living in long-term care facilities, adult children of the elderly living in long-term care facilities, the elderly living in the community, service providers, and long-term care professionals. Of the 451 Q populations, 63 Q samples were extracted, and a total of 43 P samples were used for final data analysis. Data were analyzed using the QUANL program, and as a result, three factor structures (4 types) were found to be suitable and accounted for 30.15% of the total variance. Current care types in long-term care facilities were analysed into 4 types: protection-oriented care (type 1), participation-oriented care (type 2), medical-connected care (type 3), and human-centered care (type 4). Based on the results of this study, institutional and practical suggestions and implications were presented for the qualitative change of care in long-term care facilities.

This study analyzes the effect on depression of mutual relational aggression experienced by elderly residents at charity nursing home. It also verifies the mediated effect of adaption by the residents to the nursing home. For this end, the researchers conduct a survey for 182 elderly residents in 7 charity nursing homes in Seoul and Kyonggi Province. Second, nursing home staffs need to take measures to help adaption of new residents to prevent or reduce their depression. For example, new residents can be allowed to bring their belongings to the nursing home as much as they want and the nursing home can stand. Third, nursing homes also need to develop programs to prevent or reduce any negative relation, including bullying or casting out, among peer residents in the nursing home.
