In the present study, a tunnel type soundproof wall with partial opening is proposed to reduce the environmental noise caused by railway vehicles traveling on bridges, which affects residents of high-rise apartment buildings; the study also attempts to minimize load due to wind and the weight of the wall. Applying the principles of computational fluid dynamics and structural mechanics, and the ray tracing method, a reduction in noise as well as of the overall weight of the soundproof walls is estimated. Analysis results show that the proposed soundproof wall with a partial opening weighs less, while reducing the wind loading by up to 30%. To prevent direct propagation of sound through openings in the wall, an acoustic louver, which is a type of silencer, could be considered for the opening. In order to achieve a similar noise effect with existing insulation material, the fluid flow and the insulation effect of the acoustic louver are analyzed. As the considered opening is in the range of 30~40% of the total length of the soundproof wall, the noise effect and wind load are reduced by 10dB and 25% respectively. Consequently, opening some part of tunnel type soundproof walls and installing louvers on the wall openings can have the effects of weight-reduction and reduced wind load. If a partial opening is applied with proper sound material application, a gain of an additional 5~10dB of noise reduction can be achieved.

Environmentally Sound and Sustainable Development (ESSD)" is a key word in recent years. The construction industry, have put a great influence on ergonomic and sustainable environment. Recently, "green building certifications", such as Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and eco-friendly material regulation have been established. With this regard, new construction and aged-housing remodeling projects are required to meet these certification criteria. Apartment residents have great concern on eco-product, since many cases are reported that Sick Building Syndrome is caused by toxic substance from building materials. Aged-housing remodeling construction has a unique characteristic in that the residents are already determined prior to construction execution. Therefore, the analysis of resident's need for building materials in aged-housing remodeling is relatively easy compared to new building construction. As such, it is very important to analyze their preferences for eco-friendly materials prior to project execution. The purpose of this study is to find the needs of residents and priority of their needs. Based on their needs and priority, this paper provides a new strategy in using environment-friendly materials and maximizing their satisfaction level when aged housing remodeling is constructed. In addition, this paper provide new criteria in selecting new developed environmental materials in remodeling projects for the purpose of improving the safety and health level in construction industry.

In this study, the serviceability performance of Waffle Shaped(WAS) and Double-Tee(DT) precast concrete slabs were evaluated and compared based on the vertical acceleration magnitude induced by walking and heel drop loads. Tests were conducted for practical building structures of which floor systems used WAS and DT slabs. Natural frequencies of the slabs were similar to those obtained by using analytical models. The measured acceleration level was evaluated by vertical floor acceleration criteria presented by ISO-2631, AIJ(1991, Japan) and a previous study regarding floor vibration limit. Test results showed that both WAS and DT slabs satisfied all the criteria and Peak acceleration level of WA slabs was lower than that of DT slabs.
Recently, evacuation safety of building residents becomes the major concern, as the building has been higher and more complicated. Many high-rise multi use buildings are under construction in Korea. Required evacuation time using stairway is longer in high-rise buildings, moreover it is impossible for the disabled to evacuate by using stairway. For this reason the study on the effectiveness of using elevator for evacuation is being progressed. Elevator shaft flow coefficient is the major factor for the calculation of elevator piston effect. The results of this study can be used for the study of elevator piston effect as basic data. The flow coefficient simulation was performed using FLUENT, commercial CFD program. As a result of the flow coefficient simulation, the coefficient is 0.88 considering the safety factor. This result is verified that the result of experimental study, 0.86 is conservative.
The purpose of seismic design is to ensure the serviceability of buildings against earthquake, which might be occurred during the service life of buildings, and to minimize the loss of life by preventing their failure under strong earthquake. The lack resistance of walls resulting from a tendency toward high-rise apartment buildings with shear walls and use of piloti would lead to a concentration of inelastic behaviors in their weak story. In this study, the seismic performance of reinforced concrete shear wall buildings haying piloti was analyzed by using the evaluation techniques which was proposed by FEMA 273 and ATC-40. The results from comparison with these two techniques are summarized as follows.; The results of elastic analysis method for seismic performance evaluation show that the effect of piloti and building height decrease performance index. In case of shear wall building, the state of insufficient shear stress governs their overall performance and it becomes evident in the case of the buildings with more than 25 stories. For the buildings of piloti, the change of mass, weak story, as well as insufficient shear stress, decrease the performance index rapidly compared with the performance index of the buildings without piloti. The results, obtained from the nonlinear static analysis using capacity spectrum method, indicate that the performance Point increases for the structure having Piloti and high story. Also, deformation limits of buildings satisfy the allowable criteria at the life safety level, but the immediate occupancy level is exceeded in buildings which have more than 25 stories.

As the residence time in the vehicle increases, the passenger desires a pleasant and stable riding environment in addition to the high driving performance of the vehicle. The windshield defrosting performance is one of the performance requirements that is essential for driver's safe driving. In order to improve the defrosting performance of the windshield of a vehicle, relevant elements such as the shape of the defrost nozzle should be appropriately designed. In this paper, CFD based numerical analysis is conducted to improve defrost performance of small electric vehicles. The defrost performance analysis was performed by changing the angle of the defrost nozzle and the guide vane that spray hot air to the windshield of the vehicle. Numerical simulation results show that the defrosting performance is best when the defrost nozzle angle is $70^{\circ}$ and the guide vane installation angle is $60^{\circ}$. Based on the analytical results, the defrosting experiment was performed by fabricating the defrost nozzle and the guide vane. As a result of the experiment, it is confirmed that the frost of windshield is removed by 80% within 20 minutes, and it is judged that the defrost performance satisfying the FVMSS 103 specification is secured.

There are many apartment buildings with the government's policy of increasing the supply of residential houses in Korea. Roughly 60% of the Korea population are living in apartment buildings. Since the 1970s, the Korean economy has grown enormously, the economic and social structure was radically transformed to industrialization and urbanization step. A village has grown into a large town in Korea and apartment buildings was constructed to solve national housing shortage by the Korean government and the construction company. Since the 2000s, this apartment buildings which was built in the 1970s and 1980s had become gradually deteriorated. So, reconstruction and remodeling project of apartment buildings have been come into request in Korea. There are two way to improve the residential environment. The one is remodeling of apartment buildings and the other is reconstruction of that. Therefore, we carried out questionnaire and survey study of the preference on the reconstruction and remodeling of old aged apartment which were located in daejeon province. As a result, the preference rate of remodeling is increasing instead of reconstruction because reconstruction of apartment buildings takes more money and needs long construction period.

A renovation project of apartment housing is generally divided into four stages: Project inquiry stage, planning and feasibility stage, design stage and construction stage. Currently, procedure and managerial technique for a remodeling project has not been systematically established so that many companies have difficulty in doing their business. In particular, the design stage in participant which a project managers, designers, residents and engineers is more complicate than the other stages in terms of roles and working procedure. The design documents can be found trial and error if it is not well managed. The insufficient design caused by lack of ability to efficiently utilize information obtained during the stage and inappropriate decision-making not only results in diverse problems in the construction stage but also makes people suspect satisfaction and reliability on the remodeling improvements. Therefore the design stage is very significant issue on the renovation project. As the consequence, the design stage of a remodeling project is so important that it should be carefully managed, and composite understanding of the process to be executed. To do this, we provide roles and responsibility of each participant in the design stage and analyze the process where information is utilized in design stage. The information is analyzed in terms of input, tool and output.

Rapid development of the information technology has influenced on the changes in every sector of human environments. One prominent change in retail market is an increase of electronic stores, which has prompted practical and research interest in the product and store attributes that include consumer to purchase products from the electronic shopping. Therefore many marketers are paying much attention to the criteria of evaluating clothing and web service on internet shopping malls. The purpose of this study is to examine differences of clothing and web service criteria of consumer groups (High-Involvement & High-Ability, Low-Involvement & High-Ability, High-Involvement & Low-Ability, and Low-Involvement & Low-Ability) who are classified into consumer involvement and internet use ability. The subjects of this study were 305 people aged between 19 and 39s, living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do area, and having experiences in buying products on the internet shopping. Statistical analyses used for this study were the frequency, percentage, factor analysis, ANOVA and Duncan test. The results of this study were as follows: Regarded on the criteria of evaluating clothing, the low different groups had significant differences in the esthetic, the quality performance and the extrinsic criterion. Both HIHA group and HILA group showed the similar results. They considered every criterion of evaluating clothing more important, compared with other groups. Regarded on the criteria of evaluating web service related to the low different groups, there were significant differences in the factors related to the shopping mall reliance, the product, the satisfaction after purchase, and the promotion and policy criterion. Both HIHA group and HILA group showed the similar results as well. They considered every criterion of evaluating web service more important, compared with other groups. In conclusion, HI groups perceive relatively more dangerous factors which can be occurred during internet shopping. Therefore, internet shopping malls need to provide clothing that can satisfy the HI groups as well as make efforts to remove the dangerous factors on the internet.
The domestic AI speaker market is growing into a full-fledged early audience market beyond the innovative consumer market with 3 million domestic supply units at the end of 2018, but the reality is that for various reasons, we are not satisfied with the use. There are many previous papers on AI Speaker, but the majority of research so far tends to be biased towards the acceptance of the device's own performance. Many changes are being made, such as OTT providers trying to secure the market through collaboration with AI speaker providers. This study tried to identify the priorities for content services, which can be another major selection factor for AI speakers, excluding the factors of unsatisfactory technology. First, this study identified the priorities among AI speaker selection factors using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), based on the AI speaker selection factors derived through literature research. The most important hierarchical factor are Concierge Service, Education Service, and Entertainment Service order in AI speaker selection, and the primary content among the individual factors was the one that ranked weather/temperature/fine dust (11.6%) and child caring content was in the second place (10.8%), and then music service was in the third place (9.8%). The three top priorities were derived from the items in the top tier 1, 2 and 3 priorities. Of the total 15 individual services, 6 sub-layers of Concierge Service (weather/temperature/fine dust, news, voice schedule notification) and Education Service (foreign language, toddler, reading books) were in the top 8, and two of the Entertainment Service Music service and movie service ranked third and sixth.
