This paper empirically examines the relation between stock volatility and volatilities of macroeconomic variables and financial derivative trading. Previous studies have shown that stock volatility has been much greater than volatilities of macroeconomic variables, and their explanatory powers are too weak to confirm hypothesized theoretical relation between stock volatility and macroeconomic volatilities. The test for the relation using Korean data since 1980 verified such a finding. It is argued that this may have been the result from omitting the influence of financial activities on stock volatility. In particular, this paper demonstrates that, by including the volatility of financial derivative trading, stock volatility-macroeconomic volatility relation can not only be explained better, but also the hypothesized significance of macroeconomic volatilities can be restored.

This study analyzes the impact of exclusive subcontracting on the input, behavior, and output of innovation in manufacturing industries of Korea. Based on the analysis of pooled cross-sectional data of 6,029 small venture firms, this study proved that the exclusive subcontracting between small venture firms and large enterprises are lowering R&D investment of small venture firms. Second, the innovation activities of small venture firms including the ratio of R&D personnel and the scope of cooperation and partnership with external organizations were lower than those of small venture firms that have non-exclusive or no relations with large enterprises. Third, the innovation performance of small venture firms such as the number of patent applications, the ratio of sales by new products, and the cumulative sales growth rate was lower than those of small venture firms that have non-exclusive or no relations with large enterprises. This study verifies that the exclusive subcontracting relationships significantly weaken the innovation process and performance of small venture firms systematically, resulting in a kind of market failure in which small venture firms have almost no incentive to facilitate innovation.

본 연구에서는 전자상거래에서 소비자 구매행위에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지에 대하여분석을 하였다. 전자상거래는 거래활동의 주체에 따라 기업내 거래, 기업간거래, 기업과 소비자간거래 등으로 분류할 수 있는데, 기업과 소비자간의 전자상거래가 활성화되기 위해서는 먼저 전자상거래에서 소비자의 구매행위에 미치는 영향요인에 관한 분석이 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기업과 소비자간의 전자상거래 관점에서 소비자들이 전자상거래에서 제품이나 서비스 구매시 영향을 미치는 요인들이 무엇인지 설문조사를 통해 얻어진 자료를 토대로 실증분석을 하여 관련성을 검증하였다

본 연구에서는 전자상거래의 확산에 따른 환경변화 속에서 다품종소량생산체제의 특성을 가진 주문제조업체들이 동적으로 변화하는 환경과 다양한 고객들의 주문에 대응하여 경쟁력을 제고시키기 위한 멀티에이전트 기반 협상지원시스템(MANESS)을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 동적으로 변하는 환경과 고객들의 주문에 대응하기 위한, 그리고 유연한 시스템 구조를 이루기 위한 새로운 패러다임으로 부각되는 에이전트기술을 사용하였다. 그 중에서도, 에이전트간의 협업을 통해 문제를 해결하는 멀티에이전트기술을 사용하여 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 주문제조업체에서 가장 중요한 거래활동인 협상의 자동화를 통해 주문에서부터 생산에 이르는 일련의 모든 거래활동을 자동화하는 것이다.

In previous studies concerning turnover, they argue individual stock's turnover must be identical to market portfolio's turnover under one condition where 2 funds separation theorem holds. In this kind of world, all market participants hold and trade the same portfolio and this should be only market portfolio. If one's trading portfolio's shape is different from market portfolio's, this would mean he or she has an advantage over others in information and this kind of information would be private. In accordance with this theory, we develop a metric which measures how far one's trading portfolio from market's and name it as Stock Selection by Investor(SSI). We apply this measurement to the various types of investor groups classified as individual, institutional and foreign who participate in Korea stock market. To test the validity of measure, we regress price ratio on this measurement using SUR method. As a result, individual investor group shows large number in SSI, but the coefficient in regression is not significant and economically meaningless. In case of institutional investor group, the coefficient proves to be significantly negative. We can infer from this fact that their trading is somehow far from informed trading. Stock selection activity by foreign investor groups proves to be informed trading by showing significantly positive coefficient and the magnitude of coefficient is economically meaningful, especially in sell activity.
