Effect on the Internal Organizational Culture Attributes Job Performance and Job Satisfaction in Hospital (병원 내부조직문화속성이 직무수행능력 및 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of internal organizational culture attributes on job performance and job satisfaction. Data collection was conducted from December 8, 2014 to December 20, 2014 through a self-enforced questionnaire at 500 general hospitals in Gyeonggi-do. First, the organizational cultural attributes of hospitals had a statistically significant effect on job performance. Second, organizational cultural attributes had a statistically significant effect on job satisfaction. Third, job performance had a statistically significant effect on job satisfaction. For communication, organizational development and the future of the organization as well as organizational attributes and systems of the organization were shown to increase job performance and job satisfaction, communication with seniors and colleagues, roles, and responsibilities between departments. Organizational culture had more organizational attributes than individual ones, which affects the work and behavior of the organization members. Therefore, in order to survive competition, hospitals require accurate diagnosis of hospital organization culture, maximize effectiveness of organization culture, and a desirable hospital culture. In addition, management should provide employees with a clear mid- to long-term vision to ensure that the objectives of the hospital and the goals they pursue are consistent.

Psychological Essentialism and Category Representation (심리적 본질주의와 범주표상)

  • Psychological essentialism states that people believe some categories to have hidden and defining essential features which cause other features of the category (Gelman, 2003; Hirschfeld, 1996; Medin & Ortony, 1989). Essentialist belief on categories questions the Roschian argument (Rosch, 1973, 1978) that categories merely consist of clusters of correlated features. Unlike family resemblance categories, essentialized categories are likely to have clear between-category boundaries and high within-category coherence (Gelman, 2003; Prentice & Miller, 2007). Two experiments were conducted to test the effects of essentialist belief on category representation (i.e., between-category boundary, within-category coherence). Participants learned family resemblance and essentialized categories in their assigned conditions and then performed categorization task (Expt. 1) and frequency estimation task of category exemplars (Expt. 2). The results showed, in essentialized categories, both boundary intensification and greater category coherence. Theses results are likely to have arisen due to increased cue and category validity in essentialized categories and suggest that essentialist belief influences macroscopic representation of category structure.

A Design of DDPT(Dynamic Data Protection Technique) using k-anonymity and ℓ-diversity (k-anonymity와 ℓ-diversity를 이용한 동적 데이터 보호 기법 설계)

  • This paper proposes DDPT(Dynamic Data Protection Technique) which solves the problem of private information exposure occurring in a dynamic database environment. The DDPT in this paper generates the MAG(Multi-Attribute Generalization) rules using multi-attributes generalization algorithm, and the EC(equivalence class) satisfying the k-anonymity according to the MAG rules. Whenever data is changed, it reconstructs the EC according to the MAC rules, and protects the identification exposure which is caused by the EC change. Also, it measures the information loss rates of the EC which satisfies the ${\ell}$-diversity. It keeps data accuracy by selecting the EC which is less than critical value and enhances private information protection.

Structural Equation Model for Bus Service Evaluation (버스의 서비스평가 구조모형에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 2개의 사례지구에 대한 설문조사를 통해 서비스평가 구조모형을 개발하였다. 모형의 가설로서 요인분석과 신뢰성 분석 등을 통해 구성된 '질적서비스에 대한 인식', '이동성에 대한 인식 '환승에 대한 인식', '경제성에 대한 인식'이란 인지서비스(Perceived service)를 나타내는 4개의 잠재변수는 '개인속성'과 '교통특성'이란 잠재변수의 영향을 받으며, 상호 구조적인 관계를 가지고 전반적인 만족도로 대표되는 '서비스평가'에 영향을 미친다고 가정한다. 모형추정결과, 기초적합지수(GFI)가 상인·월성 0.864, 지산·범물 0.807로 나타났고, 조정 적합지수 (AGFI)는 상인·월성 0.823. 지산·범물 0.759로 나타나 적합성은 대체로 양호하다고 할 수 있다. 또한 두 지역 모두에 있어서 잠재변수 간이나 잠재변수와 관측변수간의 인과계수의 유의성도 2, 3개의 인과계수를 제외하면 모두 5% 유의수준에서 유의한 것으로 나타나 전체적으로 모형이 타당하다고 판단된다. 상인·월성의 경우, 운전기사에 대한 인식치가 '서비스평가'에 미치는 영향력이 가장 크며, 요금수준과 더불어 직접적으로 '서비스평가'에 영향을 미치고 있다 기타 편리성, 쾌적성, 시설 및 운영성이 중요한 원인으로 작용하고 있다는 것을 시사하고 있다. 지산·범물의 경우, 쾌적성, 시설 및 운영성, 편리성이 '서비스평가'에 직접적으로 큰 영향력을 미치고 있다. 특히 이러한 '질적서비스에 대한 인식'은 버스의 현행 요금수준과 대기시간에, 그리고 유의성이 높다고 할 수 없지만 이용자의 연령과 버스이용빈도에 영향을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on Eye-Tracking by Speed & Direction Changes of Graphic Images (그래픽 이미지의 움직임 속도와 방향 변화에 따른 시선 이동 추적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in eye-tracking, which is one of the emotional reactions of the autonomic nervous system, against various experimental stimuli that vary in terms of the movement attributes of graphic image. This experiment conducted an analysis of variance of the movement factors(n) in each movement attribute(speed, horizontality movement, verticality movement, diagonal movement). Dependent variables were the fixation starting time, the fixation dwell time, the whole fixation time from stimulus appearance, and the eye-tracking length. The result of eye-tracking against movement speed showed nonsignificant differences for each movement attribute. In the horizontality movement, the → movement was higher than the ← movement. In the verticality movement, the ↑ movement was higher than the ↓ movement. In the diagonal movement, there was not significant differences for each movement attributes.

Suggestions on the Revision of Korean Cataloging Rules for Personal Name Authority Records and Authorized Access Point (개인명 전거제어 및 전거형 접근점 작성을 위한 한국목록규칙 개정 방안)

  • The purpose of this study is to make a suggestion on the Korean cataloging rules (KCR) for personal name access points. KCR4 revised in 2003 has been criticized in the absence of related rules. To the end, this study investigates (1) the objectives and functions of personal name access points in the changing bibliographic universe, (2) the detailed rules for persons in RDA and new NCR, and (3) the cases of personal name access points in LC(Library of Congress), NDL(National Diet Library in Japan) authority records. (4) Based on theses, suggested are rules and examples for recording attributes and the authorized access points of persons in KCR to be revised. The data were collected from literature review, the case study, and the interviews with catalogers.

Effective Access Control Mechanism for Protection of Sensitive Personal Information (민감한 개인정보 보호를 위한 효율적인 접근제어 기법)

  • In order to provide the efficient personalized services, the organizations and the companies collect and manage the personal information. The stored data have some slight differences among each subject. Even though the same attribute information leaks out, the personal privacy violation is different according to personal sensitivity. However, currently the organizations or the companies protect all the information as the same level. This paper reflects the sensitive attribute information of the information subject to each personal policy by the encrypting techniques. And then we propose a policy-based access control mechanism for the personal information which strictly prevents unauthorized information users from illegally accessing the personal information. In the proposed mechanism, the individuals' personal information which is encrypted with different keys is stored into the database. For the access control, information subjects set up their own access control policy for their sensitive personal information. Then it is possible to control the information access by providing the information to the information users according to personal and organizational privacy policy.

A Study on the Determinants of Luxuriousness: With Focus on Product Attributes and Luxuriousness (명품성의 결정요인에 관한 연구: 제품속성과 명품성을 중심으로)

  • This purpose of this study is to academically define what "luxury products" mean, and to clarify the cognitive structural relationship between product attributes and "luxuriousness" in relation to the determinant of luxuriousness that eventually affects the purchase intention of consumers. This study is also written under the theory that luxuriousness leads to benefits such as functional benefit, experiential benefit, symbolic benefit, and exclusive benefit; which all provide core values to consumers and serve as effect factors that influence the psychological satisfaction of consumers. The commonly discussed measure of the determinant of luxuriousness has often failed to adequately describe the reasons to why the consumers prefer luxury products. This study also aims to suggest a new path in how and what the consumers perceive as luxury products, and to conceptualize what luxuriousness means in the marketing perspectives on the background of a previous theory. The part of product attributes are divided in the following sections: the quality and design of functional cues and brands of symbolic cues, as well as prices. The part of the determinant of luxuriousness is divided in sections of superiority, scarcity, differentiation, and traditionality. Therefore, this study used the theoretical concept used in such common measures as well as 282 examples to empirically analyze the relationship between product attributes and luxuriousness of luxury products, and how such affect the purchase intentions of consumers. The survey used to aid this study targeted luxury product consumers regarding "B" brand of automobiles. Using the analysis through a structural equation model, the study draws a conclusion that in a relationship between product attributes and luxuriousness, quality(which is one of the functional cues) affects the facts of superiority, differentiation in a significant way, and design affects the factors of scarcity in a significant way. And brand(one of the symbolic cues) significantly affects the factors of traditionality within the luxuriousness factors, and price appeared to affect superiority and scarcity. Additionally, the brand of product attributes significantly affects purchase intention, and superiority and scarcity of luxuriousness affects purchase intention in a significant way. The structural concept of luxury and luxuriousness suggested in the study will provide the theoretical basis for building a new case study, and the determinants of luxuriousness in the marketing perspective will be a practical help for checking the consumers' psychological reasons for purchase.

Study on School Teachers' Perception of and Usage of SMART Education (스마트교육에 대한 교사의 인식 및 활용 실태)

  • The development of Smart devices has become a key influence on the changes of the school system. As Smart education is integrated and institutionalized in school systems, how it is perceived and utilized by teachers should be investigated. This study is conducted to find out the perception of the teachers on characteristics of Smart education, using qualitative research method, and to analyze importance-performance, using additional quantitative analysis. To figure out the perceptions of the attributes of Smart education by teachers, related literatures were reviewed. The 8 teachers were selected and the data on their perceptions of Smart education were collected through direct observation of class and semi-structured in-depth interview. After researching, we finally drew out 16 final concepts, 6 sub-categories, and 3 categories in the open coding process. Based on the 16 concepts on teachers' perceptions on Smart education, importance-performance analysis (IPA) were conducted to identify areas that need focus and improvement. Based on the results of teachers' perceptions on importance of and the levels of use of Smart education, recommendations were provided for better practice of Smart education in school.

A Personalized Music Recommendation System with a Time-weighted Clustering (시간 가중치와 가변형 K-means 기법을 이용한 개인화된 음악 추천 시스템)

  • Recently, personalized-adaptive services became the center of interest in the world. However the services about music are not widely diffused out. That is because the analyzing of music information is more difficult than analyzing of text information. In this paper, we propose a music recommendation system which provides personalized services. The system keeps a user's listening list and analyzes it to select pieces of music similar to the user's preference. For analysis, the system extracts properties from the sound wave of music and the time when the user listens to music. Based on the properties, a piece of music is mapped into a point in the property space and the time is converted into the weight of the point. At this time, if we select and analyze the group which is selected by user frequently, we can understand user's taste. However, it is not easy to predict how many groups are formed. To solve this problem, we apply the K-means clustering algorithm to the weighted points. We modified the K-means algorithm so that the number of clusters is dynamically changed. This manner limits a diameter so that we can apply this algorithm effectively when we know the range of data. By this algorithm we can find the center of each group and recommend the similar music with the group. We also consider the time when music is released. When recommending, the system selects pieces of music which is close to and released contemporarily with the user's preference. We perform experiments with one hundred pieces of music. The result shows that our proposed algorithm is effective.
