The Analysis of e-Learning Gap among Regions in the Context of Adult Learning (성인 인적자원개발 영역에서의 지역 간 교육격차 및 e-Learning 인식 수준 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the Korean Local Government's recognition on the educational gap among regions in the filed of adult learning including vocational education and life long-learning. The study also tried to figure out the local government's recognition and infrastructure of e-Learning which is suggested as one of the solutions on the regional gap of educational opportunities and quality. This study took 12 HRD(Human Resources Development) centers funded and operated by the Korean Local Governments except Seoul and Kyong-Gi classified by the metropolitan areas in Korea. As a result, firstly it was found that the local governments had perception on the difference and gap of educational opportunities and quality among regions in the area of adult education. Especially, the perception was relatively more serious on quality than quantity. Secondly, the result showed the large gap among regions on the area of opening educational and training programs, the quality of teachers and tutors, the effectiveness and outcomes of educational programs. Thirdly, they perceived more serious educational gap on face-to-face classes rather than e-Learning in the context of educational methodology. It also revealed that the local governments had relatively better foundations on physical systems than other infrastructures and resources such as human-ware, culture-ware and soft-ware(contents, programs etc.). It was recommended to consider these findings in developing and implementing future educational policies to solve the problem of regional gap on education.

Current Status of Dental Hygiene and Comparison of Some Curriculums in Korea and Japan (한.일 치위생(학)과 현황과 일부 대학의 교육 과정 비교 -일부 한국 학생 요구도를 중심으로-)

  • This study was conducted in order to promote students' interest in overseas employment and to present methods of improving education that suits globalization and internalization. From responses to individual written survey questionnaires answered by $3^{rd}$grade 200 students who are studying dental hygiene at colleges in Daegu. They had most interested in Japan (60.3%), and they want to work abroad if they are given the changes (38.1%), which indicate that the dental hygiene majors have much interest and positive attitude in overseas employment. In Japan, there are 158 schools had department of dental hygiene (51 to 2 years, 101 to 3 years, 6 to 4 years). Especially, Kanto area has 25 private schools. When compared Korea and Japan, they similar were curriculum, 39 at 3 years, 44 at 4 years, respectively. The current national board dental hygiene examination system was 200 in total score, and 19 in total subjects. The 9 basic clinical courses including oral anatomy have 100 scores, and the 8 subjects including preclinical course have 50 scores, one dental assistant course have 50 scores. In Japan, 4 years pre-dental hygiene curriculum content provide certificate of dental hygiene after graduation. They provide additionally 'social worker' in Tokyo University, 'teacher in nursing' in Hirosima University. They scheduled the various foundational knowledge and skill such as competencies to communicate effectively, to participate community health program, and to make decisions regarding dental hygiene service.

Study on Customized Education through Job Analysis for the Department of Furniture Design -Focusing on the Computer Application-Oriented Education for Furniture Design Coordinator-

  • The aim of study is to suggest the improvement of the major curriculum used in the department of furniture design in two-year colleges. For this purpose two processes were conducted step by step. The first phase was to evaluate the jobs selected by job analysis specialist and staffs in charge in July 2009, and to analyze what are the desired points for the good adaptability and business improvement in case that student would find job in relevant field after graduating from colleges. Furniture design coordinator hereupon was selected as the object and DACUM (Developing A CurriculUM) was applied to the method of job analysis. In the second process conducted from September 2009 to October 2010, the customized curriculum based on the result from the first phase was newly opened to help student create any design result. This study was composed of the result of job analysis, the customized curriculum based on it and the research of efficiency through the end result and finally the discussion how to improve the customized education for the future. It is no doubt very important process for the step up of quality of college education, the improvement of students' competence and their good adaptability after finding jobs. This study should lay the foundation of different job analysis and the customized curriculums accordingly for not only furniture design coordinator, also for various furniture design-related jobs, and furthermore it should be expected that the continuous research and development contributes to the realization of college education to raise excellent students.

  • In Korea-China shipping route, the level of freight rate has been maintained very low for last two decades not only because supply of shipping capacity is higher than its demand but also because the route was regulated by the two governments. An examination is made of the effects of openness of Korea-China Liner Shipping Route on competitiveness of Korean-flag Liner Shipping companies. This task is undertaken by detailing the development of the cargo sharing respectively by shipping companies of each country. Then it is suggested the ways to cope with the new environmental changes in Korea-China liner shipping route for the future by examining the future strategies for Korean-flag companies by in-depth interviews with major shipping companies.

Comparative Study of Earth Science Curriculum and Textbooks of Secondary School of South Korea and North Korea (남북한 중등학교 지구과학 교육과정 및 교과서 비교 연구)

  • The earth science curriculum and textbooks of the secondary school in South Korea and North Korea were analysed comparatively with the modified TIMSS curriculum frameworks. In the secondary school of North Korea, earth science is not provided with separate subject, but partly taught in geography. Geography is taught by two hour per week in the first to fifth grade of secondary school. Especially the first and the fifth grade geography are deeply related to earth science. The major aim of earth science education in South Korea is to develop creative problem solver having with interest and curiosity in searching natural phenomena and with basic science concepts and inquiry process skills. But on the other hand the aim of geography education of North Korea is to cultivate communist revolutionists who are faithful to IL-Sung Kim and Jung-IL Kim. In both Koreas the category of 'earth feature' and 'earth process' are dealt a lot, but 'earth in the universe' is rarely taught in North Korea, which suggests that separate subject of astronomy is instructed in the North. Generally the scope and sequence of earth science of North Korea comes under those of middle school of South Korea. Especially discrepancy in level of meteorology and astronomy area between North and South Korea is great.

우리나라 금융정책(金融政策)에 빠른 증권시장(證券市場)의 동태적(動態的) 구조(構造)와 증권가격형성(證券價格形成) 메카니즘, 그리고 증권시장(證券市場)의 제도개선(制度改善) 방안(方案)에 관한 연구(硏究)

  • 금융정책(金融政策)과 자본시장(資本市場)의 증권가격(證券價格)과의 동태적(動態的) 관련성(關聯性)을 실증적으로 분석한 결과, 동태적(動態的) 구조면(構造面)에서 볼 때 특히 주식시장은 화폐에 대하여 시차를 갖는 반면, 장기채시장과 단기무위험시장에서는 시차를 갖지 않음이 발견되었다. 그리고 증권가격형성 메카니즘을 살펴본 결과, 화폐(貨幣)의 증가(增加)는 부(富)의 효과(效果)로 이어지고 그 결과 주가의 상승이 초래된다. 다른 한편으로 화폐의 증가가 대체효과를 반드시 유발시키지는 않으며, 그 이유로는 투자자들이 장기채를 선호함으로써 가격의 상승을 불러일으키는 반면 무위험자산의 경우 가격의 변동은 일어나지 않았기 때문이다. 끝으로, 가격효과(價格效果)의 존속은 비교적 단기로 끝남이 확인되었다. 증권시장(證券市場)의 장기적(長期的) 구조(構造)를 파악하기 위하여 공적분(共積分) 검정(檢定)을 실시하였다. 단위근(單位根) 검정(檢定)에 의하여 우리나라의 금융시계열은 단위근이 존재한다는 사실이 입증되었다. 따라서 금융시계열이 비정상적(非定常的) 확률과정(確率過程)을 따르고 있다. 공적분(共積分) 검정(檢定)에 의하여 화폐의 실질대수 유통속도와 실질주가, 장단기수익비율, 화폐차등수익률과 소득변화율 사이에는 차분후에 장기적 정상균형관계가 형성되고 있음이 발견되었다. 통화정책과 주가는 장기의 동태적 구조 측면에서 파악할 때 장기정상관계를 유지하고 있다. 그리고 주가는 시차(時差)가 0인 동시적(同時的) 통화정책(通貨政策)과 제1계 시차통화정책과 소득에 의하여 결정되고 있다. 다른 금융시계열은 주가결정에 영향을 미치고 있지 못한 실정이다. 주가의 상승은 부(富)의 효과(效果)와 대체효과(代替效果)를 유발하고 있다. 따라서 통화당국은 이점을 고려하여 화폐정책(貨幣政策)을 수립하여야 한다. 그리고 통화량은 주가의 가격형성에 양(陽)의 효과(效果)를 형성하고 있다. 따라서 화폐의 공급량의 증가는 명목주가(名目株價)의 상승을 유발하고 이에 따라 부(富)의 효과(效果)와 대체효과(代替效果)가 발생한다. 이와 같은 현상의 발견은 정부당국의 통화정책과 자본시장정책에 중요한 의의를 갖고 있다고 하겠다. 주가형성(株價形成)에 대한 통화정책의 효과는 당기 뿐만 아니라 차기에도 이어지고 화폐량과 소득이 주가의 결정에 영향을 미치고 있으며 다른 금융변수(金融變數)들은 영향을 미치지 않고 있다. 그러나 실질화폐잔고와 실질주가 장단기수익비율 화폐차등수익률과 소득변화률과는 장기적(長期的) 정상적(定常的) 균형관계(均衡關係)를 형성하고 있다. 따라서 장기적 관점에서 증권시장은 경제성장을 위한 통화정책과 각 분야의 균형적 성장을 유발할 수 있는 재정정책(財政政策)이 요청되고 있다. 위의 논의에서 유추할 수 있는 것은 화폐의 영향을 완화시키기 위하여 option시장의 개발과 농산물, 광물, 기타 실물 및 금융에 대한 선물시장의 개설이 요청된다. 이와 같은 시장을 통하여 통화 정책이 증권시장에 미치는 과도한 효과를 축소시켜 합리적이고 건전한 증권시장(證券市場)의 발전(發展)과 금융시장(金融市場)의 원활한 발전이 이룩될 수 있을 것이다. 자본시장이론(資本市場理論)에서는 화폐는 무시하고 실물적인 관점에서 증권가격의 결정을 연구하거나 위험분석에 주안점이 주어져 왔었다. 본 연구를 통하여 통화정책의 결과가 자본시장에 직접적으로 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. 통화금융정책과 주가의 유기적 관계를 확인한 본 논문의 결과를 정책당국이 참고하여 통화금융정책(通貨金融政策) 효율성(效率性)을 극대화(極大化)할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

Do the Futures and Spot Markets Respond Differently to the News? : An Empirical Study of KOSPI200 Futures Market (선물 및 현물시장은 뉴스에 대해 동일하게 반응하는가? : 코스피200 선물시장에 대한 실증적 연구)

  • This paper investigates whether the futures market responds to the news more sensitively and uses more diverse information than the spot market. The sensitivity to the news is measured by the coefficients of the model which regresses the daily changes in the futures prices to the daily changes in the theoretical prices computed from spot prices using the spot-futures parity. The diversity of news is measured by the mean range differences ($\overline{RD}$), mean hi-price differences($\overline{HD}$) and mean low-price differences. The data in this paper is the closing prices of the nearest-to-maturity and the second-nearest-to-maturity contracts of the KOSPI 200 index futures. As the estimates of the relative sensitivity of the futures prices($^{\beta}$) for the whole-period sample are not significantly different from 1, the sensitivity of two markets to the news are not different. However, $\hat{\beta}$ of the most recent period(Nov. 2002 to Dec. 2005) are strongly different from 1. And, in the most recent period, the futures price changes for the good news, which is defined as the price increase of KOSPI of more than 1.5% in a day, show additional sensitivity. Since the mean range different which measures the relative diversity of information used, are not significantly different from 0 for the whole-period and subperiod samples, and this can be interpreted that the futures market does not use more diverse information than the spot market. However, the mean high-price difference, which measures the relative diversity of good news, are significantly different from 0 for the nearest-maturity contracts in the whole-period and subperiod samples. This evidence supports that the futures prices reflects more diverse good news which brings price increase in the market.

  • The purpose of this study is to research and analyze recognition of teachers and students about operating BizCool in technical high school. These results were obtained by questioning teachers and students of high school which operated BizCool. Above of all, On the Teachers' recognition about BizCool. First, the most effective programs in BizCool are the entrepreneurial club activities, and these activites fostering an entrepreneurial mind as the primary benefits of operating BizCool. Second, to activate BizCool they want to employ staff whose responsibility is to organize BizCool because of the demand and pressure involved, and Bizcool entrepreneurial club should be connected with related enterprises. The development and spread of standard managing models is necessary. Third, Students also have to be able to learn essential knowledge about management, increasing their will to rely on themselves, and getting actual chances to conduct business. Finally, On the Students' recognition about BizCool. First, The contents and level of Bizcool, the availability of BizCool material, the fostering and learning of entrepreneurship are relatively easy and they show much interest in systematic entrepreneurial education. Second, the data show that BizCool is helpful for students to create an entrepreneurial mind and increase confidence about conducting business. Third, about school activities. Entrepreneurial club activities did not help to improve students' grades, to develop good habits or to make friends.

Narrative Inquiry about Practical Experience of an Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Class of Design and Engineering - Focusing on an improvement of the class - (학부과정의 다학제 융합 교과 수업경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구 - 수업 개선을 중심으로 -)

  • The study applied a narrative inquiry to the undergraduate interdisciplinary course taught for three years(2012~2014). Narratively I have described interactions among teachers' and students' performing the interdisciplinary consilience course with various situations such as place, curriculum and class interaction. I have specifically illuminated a three-dimensional narrative inquiry space embracing the dilemma of the consilience curriculum, PBL(Problem Based Learning) and TBL(Team Based Learning), and an effective presentation. The result of the study is as follows: First, the ratio of giving lecture is high. The burden of doing project will be reduce if the teacher decreases the lecture up to one fourth, gives students enough time to finish their tasks, and gives them advice for a better project. Second, for opening the interdisciplinary consilience class maintaining previous college curriculum, each department has to put a 'consilience course' on the existing curriculum that allows teachers open the consilience course whenever they need to teach with other department teachers. Third, an effective teaching method using the PBL(Problem Based Learning) in Team Based Learning environment is making students to consider projects as problem situations to solve and to apply the problem situations to PBL method. Lastly, teachers should give students lots of opportunities for presenting what they have learned in the class. Three times of presentation as a team member is ideal in a semester but the way of presenting has to be changed. The students in next year will relieve the tension of 30 minute instead of 15 minute, two days instead of one day for the team presentation.

A Study on Competitiveness and Effect Analysis for Developing a Port Specialized in Northern Sea Route (경쟁력분석에 따른 국내 북극항로 전진기지 구축방안에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, It became possible to transport freights and energy resources via Northern Sea Route(NSR) as global warming has been accelerated. As a result, all countries of the world and Korean local governments have had a struggle to take the advantageous position first in NSR development. However, this extreme competitions might have a negative effect on the national port industry and cause unnecessary social costs and economic losses. Therefore, the main target of this study is to find the most suitable port for NSR using AHP analysis. Most of the data was gained from previous literatures and public statistics and the weight of each factor was calculated by the result of expert survey. As a result, Busan port has the biggest competitiveness, followed by Yeosu Gwangyang, Ulsan and Incheon. From the result, this study suggested 3 possible scenarios. The first scenario specializing Busan port in NSR focuses more on developing the related businesses such as repair of ships, refueling, ship stores trade than attracting the more cargoes. the second is a strategy to make Ulsan port as a hub for energy resources, especially liquid cargo on NSR. the last is a mixed one to assign suitable roles to the ports according to their competitive capabilities.
