The aim of this study was to compare the factors influencing internet game addiction among middle and high school boys. The data was analysed from "Survey on the Online and Game and Family Leisure Activities of Youth and Children in 2009" conducted by the Korean Youth Policy Institute. According to the results, the average time on the weekends and average time on the holidays, and the leisure constraints had a significant effect on the internet game addiction both groups. On the other hand, there were significant differences in the communication with parents between middle and high school boys. Accordingly, this study suggests a preventive internet game addiction program be developed. In addition, it is important to improve efficient communication skills between children and parents.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the structural relationships between adolescent problem behaviors and related variables. The subjects of this study consisted of 250 to second graders from a middle school in S city in the Gyeongbuk province of South Korea. The sample variance-covariance matrix was analyzed using AMOS 20.0, and a maximum likelihood minimization function. The results were as follows : First, marital conflict in terms of the father's open communication model indicated both a direct and indirect effect upon adolescent problem behaviors. Marital conflict in terms of the father's problematic communication model revealed an indirect effect upon adolescent problem behaviors also indicated that these behaviors were also mediated by the father's problems communication. Second, a open communication style on the part of the father indicated a partially mediating effect on the relationship between marital conflict and adolescent problem behaviors. The problematic communication model on the part of the father revealed a very clear mediating effect on the relationship between marital conflict and adolescent problem behaviors.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between failure mindset of the mother and adolescent, along with the mediating effects of mother's happiness and mother-adolescents (first and second-year middle school students in Seoul) open communication. For this study, self-reported data of 270 mother-adolescent dyads were analyzed using SPSS and Process macro Model 6. The results revealed that the mother's failure mindset directly predicted their adolescent's failure mindset. The mediating effect of the mother-adolescent open communication was significant, but the mediating effect of the mother's happiness was not significant. However, the mediation effect of the mother's failure mindset on the adolescent's failure mindset through mother's happiness and mother-adolescent open communication was significant. These results suggest that "failure-is-enhancing" mindset of mothers improve their positive affect and parenting skills, which contributes to developing adolescent's belief system about failure. Putting the results together, this study is significant in that it identified the intergenerational relationship of the failure mindset. Besides, the study results serve as a foundation for intervening on the adolescent's failure mindset by verifying the developmental mechanism of the failure mindset.

BioPlace 시스템은 유전체 관련 연구자들의 효과적인 정보교환과 연구 활동을 지원하기 위한 웹기반 협업지원 시스템이다. 현재 BioPlace 시스템은 정보를 교환하는 방법이 대부분 비동기적 이어서 실제 공동작업의 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 여러 가지 전달사항이나 수시로 변하는 정보를 실시간으로 전달할 수 있는 방법을 제공하고 있지 않다. Jabber 메시징 시스템은 XML 기반의 개방형 메시징 시스템으로서 실시간 의사소통을 지원하기 위한 다양한 기능과 타 메시징 시스템과의 연동을 제공하고 있어서 능률적인 메시징 서비스의 개발을 지원한다. 따라서, BioPlace 협업지원 시스템에서 Jabber 메시징 서비스를 제공함으로써 이러한 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 BioPlace 협업지원 시스템에서 실시간 의사소통 수단으로 사용될 수 있도록 Jabber 실시간 메시징 시스템을 확장하여 BioPlace 메신저 시스템을 설계하고, 실제 구동 가능한 서버와 클라이언트 시스템을 개발하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of mathematics instruction using children's literature on students' mathematical communication and attitude. To conduct this research, a total of 59 6th grade students were selected from an elementary school in Seoul, and three different types of teaching methods using children's literature were applied to the treatment group, while a traditional teaching method was adopted to the comparison group. Children's literature was used in the actual classroom environment for about 20 minutes in the course of 10 weeks treatment, and the results were analyzed to find the effects of using children's literature during mathematics teaching on students' mathematical communication skills and attitudes toward mathematics. The results of the present study were as follows: First, with respect to mathematical communication aspects, the treatment group achieved significantly higher mathematical communication skills than that of the comparison group. That is to say, this result shows that students learning mathematics using children's literature seem to have more mathematical communication abilities than students in the textbook-based mathematics learning group. Secondly, the results of this study point out that students in the treatment group have more positive attitude toward mathematics as a result of learning that the other group of students focused on textbook-based mathematics learning. In conclusion, the current study demonstrates that mathematics teaching using children's literature made more significant impact on students' mathematical communication ability and attitudes toward mathematics than the comparative method focused on a traditional textbook-based mathematics teaching method.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the usability of the tablet PC-based Korean high-tech AAC(Augmentative Alternative Communication System) software. In order to develop an AAC software which is appropriate to Korean cultural/linguistic contexts and communication needs of the users, we examined the necessity and ease of use for the communication functions that are required in native Korean communication, such as polite expressions, tense expressions, negative expressions, subject-verb auto-matching, and automatic sentence generation functions, using a scenario-based user testing. We also investigated the users' needs, preferences, and satisfaction for the tablet PC-based Korean high tech AAC using a semi-structured and open questionnaires. The participants of this study were 9 special education teachers, 6 speech therapists, and 6 parents whose children had communication disabilities. The results of the usability testing of the tablet PC-based Korean high-tech AAC software presented positive responses in general, by indicating overall scores of above 4 out of 5 except in tense and negative expressions. The necessity and ease of use in the tense and negative expressions were evaluated relatively low, and it might be related to the inconsistent interface with the polite expressions. In terms of the user interface(UI), there were users' needs for clear visual feedback in the symbol selection and display, consistent interface for all functions, more natural subject-verb auto-matching, and spacing in the text within symbols. The results of the usability testing and users' feedback might serve as a guideline to compensate and improve the function and UI of the existing AAC software.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of parent-child communication style on smartphone addiction and depression among female college students. The subjects were 151 female students in three different universities located in S city. Data collection for Parent-Adolescent Communication Inventory (PACI), Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale, and the Center for Epidemiologic Studies-Depression Scale (CES-D) were conducted from November 1 to December 8, 2017. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Smartphone addiction in college students was 35.08 (SD = 6.83), and when communication with the mother was absent and the problem recognized, smartphone addiction was higher (${\beta}=.27$, p = .028). Open communication with the father lowered smartphone addiction (${\beta}=-.27$, p = .030). Depression in female college students was 15.86 (SD = 10.45), and 45% experienced depression. Depression was higher when communication with the mother was higher (${\beta}=.29$, p = .022). Therefore, a customized communication program that focuses on parent-child communication as a strategy to reduce or prevent degree of addiction and depression of female college students will be helpful.

본 논문은 온라인 커뮤니티를 통해 사용자들이 정보교류와 의사소통을 활발히 전개하여 사용자혁신 (User Innovation)을 촉진하는 사례들과 이와 관련된 현안 이슈들, 그리고 기업의 사용자혁신 활용 전략을 다루고 있다. 특히 인터넷의 보급과 확산을 통해 사용자들이 온라인 커뮤니티를 형성하고 상호 교류할 수 있는 장이 마련되어 사용자혁신이 더욱 활성화 될 수 있으므로, 휴대기기 산업에서 이러한 사례를 발굴하여 분석하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 MP3 플레이어 산업에서 기업이 온라인 커뮤니티를 통해 고객정보를 어떻게 획득/처리/활용하는지, 그리고 스마트폰인 블랙잭 제품에서 어떤 과정을 통해 사용자혁신이 이루어지는 지를 사례연구 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 1)온라인 커뮤니티에서 사용자의 역할과 (정보공유, 아이디어 창출, 문제해결, 정보취합, 제품테스트, 사용의견 제시, 제품홍보 등) 기업의 대응전략, 2)기업과 고객간 커뮤니케이션 패턴 (질문/불평/사용후기 및 피드백/시제품/공지 등) 특성, 3)온라인 커뮤니티 내에서 사용자간 커뮤니케이션 패턴과 현안, 4)온라인 커뮤니티 활성화를 통한 신제품개발 촉진방안 등으로 구분하여 제시되었다. 마지막으로 이러한 사용자혁신 사례를 바탕으로, 사용자혁신을 촉진하고 신제품개발과정에서 사용자의 참여를 강화할 수 있는 정책적 함의를 정리하였다. 특히 개방형 혁신이 강조되는 상황에서 사용자혁신은 개방형 혁신의 한 형태도서도 의미가 있으며, 향후 더 많은 사례연구와 실증분석이 요구된다.

This paper describes an advanced unified communication system. The advanced unified communications mean a service that integrates basic communications such as call, SMS, email, and chatting with social networking service considered as a new communication channel, presenting a unified user interface. The advanced unified communication system is composed of advanced UC(Unified Communications) applications, open UC service platform, and UC back-end servers. The advanced UC applications consist of web-based application and smart phone application. The open UC service platform provides a variety of service components that enable the third party applications to access basic communications and social network services within an enterprise. The UC back-end servers provide server functionalities for call, SMS, email, and chatting.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the directions for the development and improvement of mathematics textbooks in Korea by examining these characteristics of German textbooks. As a result, German mathematics textbooks were free for unit order and names of units. German mathematics textbooks defined a function for various real life and natural phenomena, relation after intuitively knowing the correspondence between two variables through a graph. In addition, it exercises interpreting the characteristics and information of the graph, guides the activity of graphing various functional situations, and contents to convert various expression methods such as graphs, tables, relational expressions, mathematical terms and sentences. In the German mathematics textbooks, mathematical expressions of the functional relations of the materials in various contexts of daily life, and the activities of predicting and predicting the future, were made to feel the usefulness of mathematics. It has raised functional thinking and provided problems related to other subjects, thus enhancing connectivity with other disciplines. It also included open issues and issues that required mathematical communication.
