This study started with the idea that it is necessary to focus on common concepts and ideas among the subjects when conducting integrated education in high school. This is a preliminary study for developing materials that can be taught in mathematics in the context of already learning scientific concepts in high school. For this purpose, Mendel 's law of genetics was studied among the contents of biological subjects which are known to have relatively little connection with mathematics. The more common links between the two subjects are, the better, in order to integrate math and other subjects and develop materials for teaching. Therefore, in this study, we investigated not only the probability domain but also the concept of statistical domain. We have been wondering if there is a more abundant idea to connect between 'Mendel's law' and 'probability and statistics'. Through these anxieties, we could find that concepts such as 'likely equality' and 'permutation and combination' including 'a large number of laws' can be a link between two subjects. Based on this, we were able to develop class materials that correspond to classes. This study is expected to help with research related to development of integrated education support materials, focusing on mathematics.

This study seeks to improve the problems of analytical rigor and practical utility found in the concept of human security by examining ways to create a global governance system for the effective achievement of United Nations Millennium Development Goals(UN MDGs). This study regards poverty as the most fundamental threat to human security in order to achieve the analytical rigor of human security concept. At the same time, it also examines how to creating a global governance for achieving UN MDGs to improve practical utility of human security concept. The global governance system of MDGs should acquire global political representativeness, efficacy of policymaking process, and democracy within it. For these purposes, the creation of a "Global Summit for Development," the establishment of a more equal partnership between the states, international organizations, and NGOs, and institutionalization of operational and strategic cooperation among development institutions are proposed.

기존의 수환경 평각가 BOD 및 COD 개념의 이화학적 평가법 이었다면, 현재 우리나라 환경부에서 개발 추진 중에 있는 수질평가 기법은 생물 지표특성을 이용해 생태건강성을 평가한다는 점이다. 즉, 기존의 인간위주의 개념에서 탈피하여 인간과 함께 실제 생태계내에 사는 생물관점에서 평가된다는 것, 즉 수환경 관리정책의 페러다임이의 전환이라 할 수 있다.

획득이란 군사임무 수행에 요구되는 무기체계나 서비스나 물자에 대하여 개념을 정립하고, 정책을 발전시키며 사업을 시작하여 무기체계를 개발하고, 생산하며 배치하고 운용하며 군수지원을 하고 개량하고 폐기하는 일련의 수명주기 활동에 필요한 업무를 통 털어 말한다. 따라서 획득관리란 획득이라는 개념에 대한 모든 관리활동을 말하며 획득관리를 담당하고 있는 획득요원들에 대한 교육훈련이 포함되고 나아가서는 국방중기계획을 수립하고 예산을 획득하는 기획관리업무를 지원하는 활동까지는 포함된다고 할 수 있다.

이번호에 소개하는 해외건축동향은 지난 6월호에 이어 여전히 인도, 북쪽 지방의 뉴 델리에 위치해 있는 Indian Habitat Centre이다. Habitat을 번역하면 "서식지" 라는 뜻을 가진 이 곳은 도시개발과 환경관련 업무를 보는 사무실의 개념을 떠나서 인간의 이상적 서식지라는 좀 더 큰 근본적 개념을 가지고 계획된 곳이다.

ONA(Open Network Architecture : 개방형망구조)란 미국의 고도통신서비스사업에 있어 공중통신망사업자와 고도서비스제공자간의 공정한 자유경쟁을 보장하고 통신망 사용의 효율을 높여 전국적으로 저렴한 가격의 균일한 서비스를 개발 및 제공코자 하는 개념에 따라 설정된 개방형 망구조이다. 본고에서는 ONA의 개념, 주요내용 및 문제점등을 살펴본다.

액정 모드 기술은 TFT-LCD의 화질, 공정, 비용을 결정짓는 핵심 기술로 당시 일본에 의해 새로운 개념의 광시야각 액정 모드들이 먼저 개발되었지만 한국의 엔지어들의 노력으로 순수 우리 기술을 개발해 상품화한 것은 돌이켜보면 대단한 일이었다고 본다. 당시 후발 주자인 국내 업계와 학연은 일본의 기술을 배우고 따라잡기 위해 일본어 공부를 하면서 일본어로 된 전문서적을 읽고 학회에서 일본 연구자들에 자존심을 버리고 끊임없는 질문으로 기술을 배웠다. 이러한 상황에서도 삼성의 연구자들은 당시 MTA보다 한 단계 향상된 PVA 모드를 개발해 세계 최초의 30인치 TV에 적용시켜 상용화했을 뿐만 아니라 엘지디스플레이의 연구자들은 IPS 기술을 발전시켜 대형 IPS TV의 세계시장을 주도하였다. 당시 제일 후발주자였던 하이디스 엔지니어들은 FFS란 액정 모드를 개발해 현재 일본 뿐만 아니라 세계의 모든 TFT-LCD 업체가 이 기술을 이용하여 제품을 양산하고 있고 향후에도 미니 LED 기술과 접목하여 고화질 LCD 기술을 주도할 것으로 보인다. 이러한 기술 개발로 액정 기술 분야에서 한국 연구자들이 세계적으로 인정받고 있다고 감히 말할 수 있다. 현재 신개념의 디스플레이 분야에서도 한국이 리드를 하고 있다고 보는데 많은 후배 연구자들이 디스플레이 역사의 한 페이지를 장식할 혁신 기술을 개발하고 있는 것을 응원한다. 마지막으로 필자의 경험을 바탕으로 평가한 각 기술들에 대해 다른 전문가들과 이견이 있을 수도 있음을 명시하며, IPS와 PVA 기술을 직접 개발하지 않은 관계로 더 많은 내용을 세밀하게 기술하지 못한 점 송구하게 생각한다. 위 액정 기술들을 우리나라 디스플레이 기술 20선에 선정해 주신 "한국 디스플레이 기술 20선 선정위원회"에 감사드립니다.
