The Effect of Flipped Learning on Learning Motivation in Software Education (플립러닝이 소프트웨어 교육의 학습동기에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this paper is to prove the effect of flipped learning on learning motivation in software education. For this study, the experiment was consisted of experimental group and control group for university of education. They learned software education using Scratch programming for 10 weeks. The experimental group was applied to the flipped learning with online software courses. As a result, post motivation in the experimental group was significantly increased compared to the pre learning motivation. Post- learning motivation is also the experimental group were higher learning motivation significantly compared to the control group. It is hoped this flipped learning as an effective learning strategies base expansion in primary and secondary education as well as high education teaching software in the future.

A Study on the Content Framework of Algorithm Education in Primary and Middle Schools (초등학교와 중학교에서의 정보과학 교과를 위한 알고리즘 교육내용체계에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we analyzed algorithm curriculum in Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States, India, and Estonia. In order to teach 1st - 9th grade students computer algorithm, we suggested the algorithm framework based on the spiral curriculum, which is repeatable and progressive. The framework is divided into 4 areas, which includes understanding, expressing, evaluating, and using algorithms in daily life. Each area has 4 levels which are based on the students grade. We have to offer lectures for about computer OS to student teachers at the National Universities of Education; to develop textbooks and materials about algorithm; and to establish Information Science as a part of the primary school curriculum.

  • 웹을 기반으로 한 프로그래밍 교육 시스템에 관하여 많은 연구가 이루어져 왔으나 대부분의 연구는 강의 노트의 제공 방법, 또는 하이퍼링크 상에서의 효과적인 네비게이션 방법과 같은 원격 교육 시스템에 국한된 내용이었다. 그러나 프로그래밍 교육은 그 특성상 강의노트의 제공 방법이나 하이퍼링크 상에서의 효과적인 네비게이션 방법보다도 많은 양의 과제를 통한 연습 기회의 제공과 각 과제에서의 교수자와 학습자간의 친밀하고 개인적인 상호작용이 학습자의 학업성취도에 더욱 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 원격 교육 시스템의 관점에서 더 나아가 교수자가 학습자에게 많은 양의 과제를 통한 연습의 기회를 부여 할 수 있고 각 과제당 교수자와 학습자간의 상호작용을 극대화할 수 있는 웹 기반 프로그래밍 교육 시스템을 구현하였다. 웹 기반 프로그래밍 교육 시스템은 학습자에게 시간과 장소에 구애됨이 없이 웹 브라우저를 이용하여 프로그램을 코딩하거나 컴파일할 수 있고 SPLINT를 통한 분석결과를 통해 즉시 피드백을 받을 수 있는 환경을 제공한다. 또한 교수자에게 많은 수의 학생들의 과제를 관리하고 교수자의 평가 기준에 의해 한꺼번에 자동으로 평가할 수 있는 환경을 제공하여 준다. 이러한 웹 기반 프로그래밍 교육 시스템은 웹을 이용한 프로그래밍 교육을 면대면 학습에 더욱 가깝게 만들어준다. 현재 웹 기반 프로그래밍 교육시스템은 K대학교 컴퓨터교육과 1학년 재학생들을 대상으로 한 C 프로그래밍 강좌에 사용되고 있다.

A Fundamental Study on the Development of the Educational Operation Platform for the Training of Professional Occupational Therapists (전문적 작업치료사 양성을 위한 교육운영 플랫폼 개발의 기초 연구)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to establish a systematic educational operation platform by collecting expert opinions so that occupational therapists can use continuing education well as a means to become professional occupational therapists in a particular field. Methods : A Delphi study was conducted with 23 experts on continuing education courses in common areas, elderly or dementia, community-based, physical rehabilitation, and developmental disabilities conducted in 2019 and 2020. The first Delphi investigated the suitability of the course as a professional continuing education and the appropriate level of education. In the second Delphi, we derived the final platform by verifying its suitability with verification of its content validity. Results : As a result, 87 items were derived for common areas, 53 items for elderly or dementia, 66 items for community-based, 66 items for physical rehabilitation, and 85 items for developmental disabilities. The main contents included the expertise needed by occupational therapists, the role in various fields, the solution of difficulties in clinical practice, and the topic of preparing for the future. Conclusion : This study was meaningful in presenting an educational operation platform for training professional occupational therapists as a basic study. It is hoped that the optimal education operation platform will be developed to strengthen professional skills of occupational therapists efficiently through future research.

  • Opensource LMS Moodle consists of module of various forms and can mount learning materials of various forms. We can mount the number of contents on the Web in Moodle. In doing so, We can configure effective courses for teaching-learning activity. Moodle can reflect course design of a wide variety of teacher using a variety of learning resources and learning activities. The results of operating during 1 semester, all faculty or students were satisfied with course using Moodle. Class in the classroom is interactive systems of teacher and students, but class has one-way system in reality. E-learning can be used to complement this phenomenon. Moodle gives a free and powerful features in designing e-learning courses. In this reserch we made up course applying typical teaching-learning of design and model the process of Glaser. We analyed teaching - learning activity case of Understanding and Application of Information science course of 2010year 1 semester in Seoul national University of Education using LMS Moodle and pursued future expansion plan of Moodle.

A Study on the Analysis and Improvements of the EBSi (EBSi 이용 현황 분석을 통한 개선 방안 연구)

  • This study aims at an objective analysis of the EBS lecture program for the national scholastic achievement examination (NSAE) that started from April 1, 2004. To this end, it obtained and analyzed related data which are archived in the EBS NSAE lecture system under the assistance from EBS. More specifically, it analyzed the practices of lecturer placement and student members. Also, the practices of use of lectures were analyzed by years, and the economical value from the use of the EBS NSAE lecture program was estimated through the comparison with the level of tuitions for private online institutes. In addition, this study diagnosed the properness in counselor placement through an analysis of the use of the web forum, and analyzed the practices of the nonsul (essay-type examination) program in order to identify the coping strategies of EBS with regard to the introduction of a new system for 2008 university entrance system. As a result of the analysis, this study presents various ways to improve the EBS NSAE lecture program.

A research on Mathematical Invention via Real Analysis Course in University (대학교의 해석학 강좌에서 학생들의 수학적 발명에 관한 연구)

  • Inventive mathematical thinking, original mathematical problem solving ability, mathematical invention and so on are core concepts, which must be emphasized in all branches of mathematical education. In particular, Polya(1981) insisted that inventive thinking must be emphasized in a suitable level of university mathematical courses. In this paper, the author considered two cases of inventive problem solving ability shown by his many students via real analysis courses. The first case is about the proof of the problem "what is the derived set of the integers Z?" Nearly all books on mathematical analysis sent the question without the proof but some books said that the answer is "empty". Only one book written by Noh, Y. S.(2006) showed the proof by using the definition of accumulation points. But the proof process has some mistakes. But our student Kang, D. S. showed the perfect proof by using The Completeness Axiom, which is very useful in mathematical analysis. The second case is to show the infinite countability of NxN, which is shown by informal proof in many mathematical analysis books with formal proofs. Some students who argued the informal proof as an unreasonable proof were asked to join with us in finding the one-to-one correspondences between NxN and N. Many students worked hard and find two singled-valued mappings and one set-valued mapping covering eight diagrams in the paper. The problems are not easy and the proofs are a little complicated. All the proofs shown in this paper are original and right, so the proofs are deserving of inventive mathematical thoughts, original mathematical problem solving abilities and mathematical inventions. From the inventive proofs of his students, the author confirmed that any students can develope their mathematical abilities by their professors' encouragements.

Analysis of Undergraduates' Creative Problem Solving with or without IT Convergence Education (IT 융합 교육 유무에 따른 대학생의 창의적 문제 해결 역량 분석)

  • Recent college education in the face of the Fourth Industrial Revolution highlights problem-solving skills or creativity over the passing of professional knowledge. In addition, the need for convergence education is growing further as high-tech information and communication technologies are converging to create innovative changes. In this study, after IT convergence education was conducted and after general convergence education was conducted, the difference in creative problem solving capabilities was compared and analyzed. The study found that students who received IT convergence education had higher creative problem solving capabilities than general convergence education, and showed a statistically significant difference. In order to foster creative problem-solving skills, universities will need to promote IT convergence education in various courses.

Analysis of Air Force Trainee's Preception of e-learning system (S이러닝체계에 대한 공군 교육생의 인식 분석)

  • In order to establish an air force e-learning system, we analysed previous researches on air force education systems and conducted a survey on 3,597 air force trainees. Most of trainees have little experience on e-learning and do not understand it. But if they were given an opportunity, they would like to take a e-learning course. They had a lot of requests about function improvement for learning management systems, preferred individual education rather than collective education, and did not wanted to take an e-learning class at a computer laboratory. In this study, we found four elements that need to establish e-learning system for air force. They are content, trainer, trainee and service. Also, we suggested improvement plans for each elements.

The Study on the Influence of University Start-up Education & Support on Employment Rate (대학의 창업교육지원이 취업률에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzes factors of the influence of university start-up education and start-up support on the employment rate. For this purpose, we study prior research on university factors that affect the employment rate. we add university startup education & support to the university factors that are the type of university establishment and the university location, affecting the employment rate. The information of start-up education and start-up support is derived from the university disclosure information. In the start-up education, the number of participants in the start-up lecture, the number of participants in the start-up club, the number of participants in the start-up competition, the number of participants in the start-up camp and in the start-up support, the number of dedicated faculty members for start-up support, and the start-up training budget are added. The research model is empirically analyzed with 118 universities, excluding special purpose universities and universities with less than 1,000 graduates as a national 4-year university. Empirical analysis shows that the type of university establishment has a positive effect on the employment rate, and the university location has a positive effect on the employment rate. Among the factors of start-up education and start-up support, the number of participants in entrepreneurship courses is found to have a positive effect on the employment rate. In addition, although the number of participants in the start-up camp don't have a positive effect on the employment rate, it is found that the significance level p=0.070. Based on the results of this empirical analysis, academic and policy implications are presented.
