  • CCD 카메라를 이용한 화상처리가 최근 많은 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 특히 반도체 장비, 정밀 위치결정 시스템, 그리고 정밀 Alignment시스템과 같이 정밀한 제어가 요구되는 시스템에서 정화한 화상처리 기술이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문은 화상처리를 이용한 마크 인식에 관한 방법으로 CCD카메라로 부터 얻은 영상에 노이즈가 상당히 포함되어 있는 경우와 마크의 일부분만 보이는 경우에 마크를 정화히 찾는 방법에 관한 연구이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 영상에서 적응적 배경영상을 이용하여 객체를 추출하고 추적하는 방법을 제안한다. 입력되는 영상에서 배경영역의 잡음을 제거하고 조명에 강인한 객체 추출을 위하여 객체영역이 아닌 배경영역 부분을 실시간으로 갱신함으로써 적응적 배경영상을 생성한다. 그리고 배경영상과 카메라로부터 입력되는 입력영상과의 차를 이용하여 객체를 추출한다. 추출된 객체의 내부점을 이용하여 최소사각영역을 설정하고, 이를 통해 객체를 추적한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 양수발전용 동기발전기의 기동 및 회생제어를 위한 부하전류형 인버터(LCI) 시스템을 Matlalb/simulink를 이용하여 모델링하고 제어방법을 확인하였다. 부하전류형 인버터의 구성 및 동작모드에 대해 서술하였으며, 동기발전기의 안정성 확보를 위한 회생제어 모드에 적합한 제어 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 기존의 복잡한 제어구조와 달리 제어요소의 간략화로 제어의 강인성을 확보하였으며, 부하전류형 인버터 시스템의 기동제어 및 제안된 회생제어에 대한 성능은 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

Multiple Audio Watermarking using Quantization Index Modulation on Frequency Phase and Magnitude Response (주파수 위상 응답과 크기 응답에 QIM을 이용한 다중 오디오 워터마킹)

  • This paper describes a multiple audio watermarking using Quantization Index Modulation (QIM) on frequency phase and magnitude response. Proposed embedding procedure is composed of two stage. At the first stage, the watermark is embedded on the frequency phase response using QIM. In the second stage, the watermark is embedded using adaptive QIM with the step-size that is adaptively determined using the maximum value of the frequency magnitude response of every frame. The watermark is extracted by calculating the Euclidean distance as the blind detection. The proposed method is robust against most of attacks of audio watermark benchmarking. For the Fourier attacks, the proposed method shows over 95% recovery rate.

Noise-Robust Anomaly Detection of Railway Point Machine using Modulation Technique (모듈레이션 기법을 이용한 잡음에 강인한 선로 전환기의 이상 상황 탐지)

  • The railway point machine is an especially important component that changes the traveling direction of a train. Failure of the point machine may cause a serious railway accident. Therefore, early detection of failures is important for the management of railway condition monitoring systems. In this paper, we propose a noise-robust anomaly detection method in railway condition monitoring systems using sound data. First, we extract feature vectors from the spectrogram image of sound signals and convert it into modulation feature to ensure robust performance, and lastly, use the support vector machine (SVM) as an early anomaly detector of railway point machines. By the experimental results, we confirmed that the proposed method could detect the anomaly conditions of railway point machines with acceptable accuracy even under noisy conditions.

  • Difficulties of the level control in the steam generator are increased due to their nonlinear characteristics. Futhermore, parameter uncertainties of the steam generator is related with control performance and stability. The efficiency of digital conversion in control systems is proved in many recent researches. In order to solve this problem, this paper suggests robust digital fuzzy controller design methodologies of the steam generator which have unstable parameters. Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is used to construct a fuzzy model which has uncertainties in the steam generator. In designing procedure, intelligent digital redesign method is used to control the nonlinear system. This digital controller keeps the performance of the analog controller. Simulation examples are included for ensuring the proposed control method.

Comparing of Blind Watermarking Method using DWT and CAT (DWT와 셀룰라 오토마타 변환을 이용한 블라인드 워터마킹 비교)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel blind digital watermarking method based on a cellular automata transform (CAT). CAT is based on dynamic systems known as cellular automata(CA) and uses transform bases which are differently defined by a rule number, the number of neighbors, the number of cells, and an initial state, etc. The proposed CAT based method is compared with a blind watermarking method based on DWT which is commonly used for a domain transform in signal processing. We analyse properties on changes of DWT coefficients and CAT coefficients under various attacks and determine optimal parameters for a watermarking method robust to attacks. The simulations show that the watermarked images with high PSNR and MSSIM look visually identical to originals and are robust against most of typical image processing attacks. Moreover, the proposed CAT based watermarking method is superior to the DWT based one in robustness to most of typical image processing attacks including JPEG compression, median and average filtering, scaling, cropping, and histogram equalization.

Robust Face and Facial Feature Tracking in Image Sequences (연속 영상에서 강인한 얼굴 및 얼굴 특징 추적)

  • AAM(Active Appearance Model) is one of the most effective ways to detect deformable 2D objects and is a kind of mathematical optimization methods. The cost function is a convex function because it is a least-square function, but the search space is not convex space so it is not guaranteed that a local minimum is the optimal solution. That is, if the initial value does not depart from around the global minimum, it converges to a local minimum, so it is difficult to detect face contour correctly. In this study, an AAM-based face tracking algorithm is proposed, which is robust to various lighting conditions and backgrounds. Eye detection is performed using SIFT and Genetic algorithm, the information of eye are used for AAM's initial matching information. Through experiments, it is verified that the proposed AAM-based face tracking method is more robust with respect to pose and background of face than the conventional basic AAM-based face tracking method.

Development of A Multi-sensor Fusion-based Traffic Information Acquisition System with Robust to Environmental Changes using Mono Camera, Radar and Infrared Range Finder (환경변화에 강인한 단안카메라 레이더 적외선거리계 센서 융합 기반 교통정보 수집 시스템 개발)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a multi-sensor fusion-based traffic information acquisition system with robust to environmental changes. it combines the characteristics of each sensor and is more robust to the environmental changes than the video detector. Moreover, it is not affected by the time of day and night, and has less maintenance cost than the inductive-loop traffic detector. This is accomplished by synthesizing object tracking informations based on a radar, vehicle classification informations based on a video detector and reliable object detections of a infrared range finder. To prove the effectiveness of the proposed system, I conducted experiments for 6 hours over 5 days of the daytime and early evening on the pedestrian - accessible road. According to the experimental results, it has 88.7% classification accuracy and 95.5% vehicle detection rate. If the parameters of this system is optimized to adapt to the experimental environment changes, it is expected that it will contribute to the advancement of ITS.
