고온에서의 비선형 변형도를 고려한 콘크리트 구조물에서의 열응력 분포 (Thermal stress of concrete structure at high temperature considering inelastic thermal strain change)

  • Concrete behaves as ductile material at high temperature. The existing stress-strain relationship is not valid at high temperature condition. Thus, stress-strain curve of concrete at high temperature is re-established by modifying Saenz's suggestion in this study. A constitutive model of concrete subjected to elevated temperature is also suggested. The model consists of three components; free thermal stain, mechanical strain and thermal creep strain. As the temperature increase, the thermal creep becomes more critical to the failure of concrete. The thermal creep strain of concrete is derived from the modified power-law relation for the steady state creep. The proposed equation for thermal creep employs a Dorn's temperature compensated time theorem

  • 소수력발전소가 건설 후 점검 및 유지보수를 지속적으로 수행 설비성능을 유지하지만, 30년이 경과하면 노후화 및 피로현상으로 성능이 저하되고 경제적 내용연수가 도래한다. 대수력의 경우 전문인력과 점검 및 보수비용을 투자하여 일상, 주간, 월간, 년간, 정기보수를 수행하고 그 기록을 유지관리하고 있지만, 소수력발전소의 경우는 그러하지 못하여 발전소 효율뿐만 아니라 운용중의 안전도 위협받고 있는 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 국내 시설물 안전관리에 관한 특별법에 의거 필리핀에 위치한 노후 수력발전소의 현대화를 위하여 최초 기존 시설물에 대한 안전진단을 실시하여 토목 및 건축물의 보강을 위한 방법을 선정하고 이를 바탕으로 수력발전설비로부터 발생하는 진동과 같은 다양한 영향을 감소시키기 위한 토목기술을 반영하여 현지 환경에 적합한 수차선정과 노후 시설물의 유지보수를 국내 토목 보수 보강 기술로 설계하였다.

전자코를 이용한 쇠고기의 신선도 변화에 따른 냄새 분석 (Odor Analysis for Beef Freshness Estimation with Electronic Nose)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of identifying freshness of beef using a surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensor based electronic nose. The beef was stored at 5$^{\circ}C$ and aroma was measured with the passage of time. Chromatographic analysis of the odor showed that number of volatile components and their amounts were rapidly increased after 19 days of storage. Classifying beefs according to their storage days was possible using principle component analysis (PCA). Classifying beefs processed from four different origins was also possible with PCA analysis of odor. This study shows that electronic nose can be applied to beef freshness evaluation and classification of its origin.

  • The $\alpha$-alumina/fused alumina/$\beta$"-alumina specimens were fabricated by addition of fused alumina to $\alpha$-alumina/$\beta$"-alumina system. The sintered densities with and without fused alumina were almost same. But, the bending strength was decreased due to the presense of defects caused by the inhomogeneous dispersion of large fused alumina particles. And the fracture toughness was also decreased because the crack propagated through the fused alumina particles due to the imperfection of $\beta$"-alumina coating around them.

  • 랜덤워크 기반 노드 랭킹 방식 중 하나인 RWR(Random Walk with Restart) 기법은 희소행렬 벡터 곱셈 연산과 벡터 간의 합 연산을 반복적으로 수행하며, RWR 의 수행 시간은 희소행렬 벡터 곱셈 연산 방법에 큰 영향을 받는다. 본 논문에서는 CSR5(Compressed Sparse Row 5) 기반 희소행렬 벡터 곱셈 방식과 CSR-vector 기반 희소행렬 곱셈 방식을 채택한 GPU 기반 RWR 기법 간의 비교 실험을 수행한다. 실험을 통해 데이터 셋의 특징에 따른 RWR 의 성능 차이를 분석하고, 적합한 희소행렬 벡터 곱셈 방안 선택에 관한 가이드라인을 제안한다.

  • 최근 딥러닝 분야에서 모델 학습을 가속화하기 위해, 실수 표현 시 사용하는 비트 수를 줄이는 양자화 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 추천 시스템 모델 중 하나인 행렬 분해 모델(Matrix Factorization, MF)에 대한 양자화 수행 시, 발생할 수 있는 학습 정확도 손실을 방지하기 위한 정밀도 변환 방안을 제시한다. 우리는 실세계 데이터셋을 이용한 실험을 통해, 제안 방안이 적용된 MF 모델은 양자화 기법이 적용되지 않은 모델과 비슷한 추천 정확도를 보이며, 약 30% 개선된 속도로 학습됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

음파반응을 이용한 멜론의 숙도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Melon Maturity Using Acoustic Response)

  • In this study, the acoustic response technique was applied to evaluate the maturity of melon nondestructively. The acoustic response signals through melon were obtained by microphone and signal conditioner with the lapse of days after fruit set. The acoustic parameters such as resonant frequencies and the spectrum energy ratio were analyzed. To investigate the relation between acoustic parameters and firmness of melon, the compression test was performed. Three resonant frequencies representing f1, f2 and f3 were 150 to 250 Hz, 300 to 400 Hz, and 450 to 550 Hz, respectively. The resonant frequencies were shifted to the lower frequencies and the magnitude of spectrum decreased as the maturity of melon increased. Some significant correlations were found between melon firmness and the spectrum energy ratio in some frequency ranges. It is possible to estimate the maturity of melon by acoustic response technique.

자전거로봇의 균형제어 및 주행제어를 위한 LQR 제어기 설계 (LQR Controller Design for Balancing and Driving Control of a Bicycle Robot)

  • This paper proposes a balancing control and driving control of a bicycle robot based on dynamic modeling of the bicycle robot, which has been derived using the Lagrange equations. For the balancing control of the bicycle robot, a reaction wheel pendulum method has been adopted in this research. By using the dynamics equations of the bicycle robot, an LQR controller has been designed for a balancing and driving control of a bicycle robot. The performance of the balance control is verified experimentally before the driving control, which shows a stable posture within one degree vibrations. To show the dynamic characteristics of the bicycle robot during driving, a trapezoidal velocity trajectory is selected as the references. Through simulations and real experiments, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm has been demonstrated.

국내 고층 주상복합 건물의 구조적 특성에 관한 조사 연구 (An Investigative Study on the Structural Characteristics of High-Rise Complexes in Korea)

  • Recently, the interest in a complex building increases rapidly in Korea. High-rise complex is not simply the combination of a residential apartment and a business office as previous but a building with the object of the convenience of the residents familiar with city-life style through adapting the high class life style and new residential culture to the business space, and the efficiency in using the limited building site in the town. This study presents an exploratory analysis focusing the structural system with the help of the extensive survey of the construction site in Korea, and aims a guideline for the structural design and construction of high rise complex. Through the survey, change and development in the design and the construction can be seen as the height and size of the complex grow. It is almost indispensable to design a structural system against lateral forces like earthquake or wind, which is usually measured by story drift ratio or story displacement. Improvement of the structural materials and their usages is also included for the efficiency of the structural system. Useful slab-beam system contributing to the decrease of the story height is still a concern.

소형궤도차량(PRT) 차체의 설계사양 도출 및 구조강도 평가 연구 (A Study on Design Specifications and Evaluation of Structural Strength for PRT)

  • PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) system is a new transportation system which will meet increasing demands of traffic in Korea. It is also an environment-friendly transportation and automatically operated. For these reasons, researches on the PRT system are actively undergoing, but the PRT vehicles have different forms of subway, bus, etc. There are no design standards to evaluate structural integrity, yet. In this paper, Structural design specifications are derived, which are based on the performance test standard for EMU and the ASCE-APM standards. We also perform the static and fatigue analyses by FE simulation and suggest strategies to improve an initial structure design. In addition, we derived the design specifications for energy-absorbing structures to meet the conditions of the collision scenarios predefined from a view point of operation safety.
