Determinants of Housing Cost: Hierarchical Linear Model for Estimating Coefficients of a Hosing System Dynamics Model (주거비용에 영향을 미치는 요소 분석: 시스템다이내믹스 계수추정을 위한 다층모형과 회귀모형의 비교)

  • To measure the effect of school zone on housing cost, Linear Regression Model is widely used, and school zone is known as a key determinant of housing cost in Korea. However, when the Hierarchical Linear Model (HLM) is applied with the same data, school effect on housing cost becomes statistically non-significant. It is because HLM effectively separates the effect of individual housing's attributes from the group effect. In sum, the housing cost of Kangnam, where good public schools are located, is apparently is higher than that of Kangbuk. However, the school effect on housing cost (Level 2) becomes non-significant when individual housing's attributes (Level 1) are controlled with HLM.

  • The objective of this paper is to introduce a project on developing Finish Drawing Automation System. The system aims to improve efficiency of the BIM-based estimation, which is realized by automatic derivation of three-dimensional geometry models of the finish details. First, overall workload differences between the drawing-based estimation methods and the BIM-based methods are analyzed. Second, an automated finish detail design method is proposed as a time-saving measure for the BIM-based estimation, as manual modeling accounts for the most time spent in the model-based estimation process. Finally, the proposed system is evaluated using a case of washboard design.

  • 본 논문에서는 SLA(Service Level Agreement)와 같이 차별화 서비스를 지원하는 웹서버 시스템의 가동성 척도를 향상시키기 위해 기존의 동적 성능 분리 기법에 퍼지 기법을 접목하였다. 특히, 클러스터 기반 웹서버 시스템의 부하량에 대한 판단기준 혹은 사용자 요청률 및 동적요청 비율 변화시에 발생하는 애매모호한 상황을 효과적으로 반영하기 위해, 퍼지제어 기법에 기초한 부하분배 메커니즘을 제안하였다. 이를 통해, 기존의 퍼지 기법을 활용하지 않은 성능분리 기법과 퍼지기법을 활용한 경우에 대해 응답시간(95-percentile of response time) 성능 비교 평가를 통해 퍼지기반의 성능분리 기법이 차별화 서비스 시스템의 성능을 더욱 강건하고 효율적으로 향상시킬 수 있다는 점을 검증하였다.

Formation of $FeAl_2O_4$ in $H_2-CO_2$ and its behavior in $CO_2$(I) ($H_2-CO_2$에서 $FeAl_2O_4$의 생성기구와 $CO_2$ 중에서의 거동(I))

  • $FeAl_2O_4$ was formed from the starting material of $Fe_2O_3$ and $Al_2O_3$ by controlling the oxygen partial pressure using $H_2-CO_2$ gas mixture, over the temperature range of 800~120$0^{\circ}C$. The formation mechanism of $FeAl_2O_4$ was found to be a second order chemical reaction, and the activation energy of formation was observed as 39.97 kcal/mole. Vaporization behavior of $FeAl_2O_4$ under $CO_2$ atmosphere was observed over the temperature range of 800~120$0^{\circ}C$. $FeAl_2O_4$ was vaporized by a second order chemical reaction and the activation energy was found to be 21.8kcal/mole. Electrical conductivity of $FeAl_2O_4$ was also measured.

  • In case of the hearing impairment with tinnitus and increased sound sensitivity, it is known that the patients tend to appeal the psychologically oriented social handicap rather than communication disability. The audiologist who is responsible for such patients in aural rehabilitation should pay special attention to the counseling techniques including tinnitus retain therapy (TRT), ear protector, noise generator, or specific acoustic training based on close cooperation and rapport. And then the audiologist should try to lessen their reaction to the tinnitus by using a hearing aid. This therapies tries to focus not a. total approach but a treatment to lessen the severity of tinnitus. This paper as a case report that a unilateral sharply slopped sensorineural hearing impaired person with tinnitus and increased sound sensitivity by using four channel digital signal processing (DSP) hearing aid with programming increment at low level (PILL).

  • Until now, strain gage technique and accelerometer for the diagnosis safety of constructions are used widely. However, the limits of these methods are revealed. But Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry(ESPI) that uses Pulse Laser is noncontact, whole-field, real-time measuring method also dull to disturbance and can achieve test result in a very short time. It has various strong point in spot application, swift establishment, and dynamic conduct analysis for the entire field of Laser illuminate. This author analyzed vibration characteristic of using the Pulse ESPI System, the diagnosis safety of bridges, to simplify the analysis of the dynamic conduct of a large construction.

  • 스마트 단말에 장착된 센서들로부터 단말의 상황 정보를 수집하고 분석하여, 상황에 적절한 동영상을 단말에게 스트리밍해 주는 서비스 구조를 제안한다. 스마트 단말은 NFC 또는 QR 코드 기반으로 전시물이나 특정 사물에 기등록된 동영상 정보를 획득하고, 저밀도 기반 WiFi 무선 실내 측위 기술을 사용하여 단말이 위치한 실내 공간 정보를 서버에 제공한다. 상황인지형 스트리밍 서버는 단말이 요청한 정보를 토대로 단말의 해상도에 적절한 동영상을 스트리밍 한다. 설계된 상황인지형 비디오 스트리밍 서비스 구조는 전시와 컨벤션, 대형 기관 및 테마파크의 안내 및 홍보 등의 용도로 활용될 수 있다.

  • 최근 많은 연구들이 사람들의 삶을 예측하기 위해 개인의 일상적인 패턴을 표현하는 구조를 찾아내는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 이러한 목표를 위해 사용되는 데이터 중에서 핸드폰을 통해 수집된 데이터는 사용자가 항상 소지하고 있다는 점에서 그 가치가 높다. 그 중에서도 GPS 데이터는 다른 로그 데이터에 비해 가시적이기 때문에 개인의 일상을 표현하는데 더 효율적이다. 본 연구는 핸드폰에서 수집한 GPS 데이터를 Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) 모델에 적용하여 사용자의 행동을 분석하는 주제를 다루려고 한다. 특히 이 논문에서는 개인의 현재 장소가 행동에 영향을 크게 미치는 요소라 가정하고 사용자가 특정 지역을 찾아갔을 때 방문 목적을 찾는 것으로 행동 분석을 구체화하였다. 아래의 내용에서 인사동에서 수집한 GPS 데이터를 이 모델에 적용하여 사용자에게 중요한 위치들로 이루어진 '주제들'을 발견하고, 인사동 방문 목적을 추론하는 실험을 설명할 것이다.

  • In the 21st century, it may be possible to offer comprehensive service by integrating all communication media under the development of digital technology without the classification of broadcasting and communication. In addition, it will be begun to perform HDTV broadcasting by focusing on the Metropolitan area in 2001yr and will permit over 100 channels for satellite communication, thus multi-channel TV broadcasting age has come in Korea. Therefore, this study is to identify the future environment of TV broadcasting and service area in ISDB age and to present new interactive type publication satellite TV transmission system, which provides customizing type digital screen book publication by analyzing satellite broadcasting technology to create Korean cultural area around the Korean peninsula.

The Hardware Implementation of Chua's Oscillator (Chua 발진기 회로의 하드웨어 구현)

  • Chua's oscillator is a simple electronic circuit which exhibits a variety of bifurcation phenomena and attractors, It consist of two capacitors, an inductor, two linear resistors, and a nonlinear resistor. When the circuit exhibits chaotic signals, the nonlinear resistor of Chua's oscillator may have six different voltage - current characteristics. In this paper, the design methodology for practical implementation of the nonlinear resistors which have all these characteristics is described. In addition, the effectivness of result is shown by not only the computer simulation but also the experimental test.
