Today, in order to cope with the changing security enviornments and the citizen demand actively and efficiently, the Korean police is attemting a great change inside and outside such as the practical application of decentralized police system and investigation structure regulation. Compares to continuous upright improvement effoer and evaluation of the inside of the police system, the citizens recognition against it is evaluated lowly. The difference of recognition on police potential integrity between members of the police organization, the citizen and the external agency points the insufficiency of police improvement, deficiency of effetive system and policy, organization culture as causes.

This study examines the characteristics of Korean journalism ethics as job ideology by analyzing the specific conditions revealed in the historical process of the construction of Korean journalism ethics, focusing on the change of social relationships which intervene in the construction of journalism ethics. By this interpretation, this study proposes the desirable directions in journalism ethics discussion and practice strategies in the journalism field. Therefore this study analyzed the historical process and the development phase of discourse in journalism ethics in which the job position of Korean journalists have changed. In result, this study found that the discourse of Korean was used for the instrumental and rhetorical means to cope with the outside pressure in the lack of occupational self-control which becomes the premise of ethics. Because of this, the Korean journalism ethics characterize the rhetorical feature of ethical code, the structured separation of practice from cognition, the conceptual confusion of responsibility from ethics.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the opinion survey data quality used in theses and to suggest the data quality evaluation model. We used 16 items which were suggested by KASR(Korean Association for Survey Research) as a standard of survey data quality evaluation in thesis. According to the result, the data quality used in the theses is very poor level not to be accepted. And we tried difference tests between two proportions in order to find there were significant differences among stochastical variables. The result showed that there were some significant differences in sampling error and number of analyzing method between doctor and master. we suggested a model that was weighted by 9 special items for a survey data quality evaluation in a thesis by observing them from KASR's principles.

Purpose: This study examines the effectiveness of an educational program of nursing biomedical ethics for nursing students to increase awareness of the Code of Ethics for Nurses, moral sensitivity, and application of the Code of Ethics for Nurses. Methods: A quasi-experimental research design and t-test were used. The experimental group (n=31) and control group (n=32) were second-year university nursing students in two major cities. The experimental group received 15 hours of nursing ethics education during the 15-week semester. The training was not provided to the control group. Results: The application of the Code of Ethics for Nurses increased significantly in the experimental group (t=-1.06, p=.017), nurses and patient (t=-2.23, p=.029), obligation of nurse as an expert (t=-2.08, p=.042), nurse and cooperator (t=-2.54, p=.014). The consciousness of biomedical ethics increased significantly in the experimental group (t=4.28, p=.021), newborn's right to live (t=-2.61, p=.011), euthanasia (t=-2.36, p=.021). Conclusion: The results of the study show that providing a nursing biomedical ethics program to nursing students is an effective method to enhance the application of the Code of Ethics for Nurses and Consciousness of Biomedical Ethics. Implementing an intervention program of the Code of Ethics for Nurses in the regular nursing curriculum may reduce conflicts involving ethical decision making by nurses.

The article takes a critical perspective that reunderstanding the canon of Daesoon Thought is necessary to expand its application to the needs of modern society given the rapid speed of societal changes. The key point is the emergence of a cultural ecologism within Daesoon Thought. What is called the cultural ecologism is focused upon the sustainable horizon of unifying culture and ecology in the organic structure of a total-life culture. A reciprocal unity of culture and ecology is characteristic of a coherent whole with an original unitary process in the circle of Nature. Cultural ecologism, therefore, aims at seeking after the sustainability of culture wherein the value of culture is integrated in the grand stream of the ecological spirit of Nature. In the Late Joseon Dynasty, Daesoon Thought paid attention to the Great Opening (開闢) to secure the people's livelihoods and it offered edification concerning anti-feudalism in a dimension of realistic awareness which guided people's lives. The process of the Great Opening functions as a process for the world of the Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth (天地公事) which culminate in the experience the Earthly Paradise (地上仙境) of the Later World (後天). In the cultural ecologism of Daesoon Thought, this course is equivalent to a process of Haewon (grievance-resolution) in the sense of dissolution and reconciliation. From the wide umbrella of cultural ecologism, consequently, it is possible to say that Daesoon Thought can arrive at the reality of the Earthly Paradise (地上仙境) through the Great Opening of the Later World, in which human beings can enjoy the infinite vitality of the universe from within their own finite vitality.

A public opinion poll's importance is at this time increasing now. Especially, a news report with a fair and objective execution and investigative reporting Moral Code is very important. But a research on the basis of investigative reporting Moral Code is not yet carried out. In this paper, with the center of a public opinion poll involved in the 17th Presidential Election of Korea, investigative reporting Moral Code has been analyzed measurably how well observed in the Press. Furthermore, it has been compared with findings carried out in the year 2002. Finally, through comparing response rate with actual results acquired in a survey of public opinion, I proposed a response rate acquisition.

본 연구는 생리신호에 의한 집중된 시선과 집중하지 않는 시선을 분류하고자 한다. 이를 검증하기 위해 시각적으로 높은 집중과 낮은 집중을 요구하는 두가지 과제를 피실험자에게 제시하고 PPG(Photoplethysmogram), GSR(Galvanic Skin Response) 그리고 SKT(Skin Temperature)센서를 사용한 자율신경계 반응과 시선 움직임을 측정하였다. 과제는 $3{\times}3$으로 화면 구역을 나누고 각 구역에 문자를 제시하고 역방향 문자를 찾도록 하였다. 실험에는 20 명의 대학생이 참여하였으며, 1 번의 실험에 12 종류의 다른 문자배열을 제시 받았으며 1 번의 연습을 포함하여 총 5 회 실시후 데이터를 분석하였다. 높은 집중일 경우와 낮은 집중일 경우를 T-test 분석 결과, 자율신경계에서는 높은 집중일 경우 PPG 주파수가 증가하고 GSR과 SKT는 감소한 결과를 보였다. 따라서 시선의 집중도에 따라 다른 자율신경계 반응과 시선반응을 보이는 것을 확인하였다.

In this paper, we propose a new fake-iris detection method. In order to detect the fake-iris, we measure the change of the reflectance ratio between iris and sclera. In a live iris, the amount of change is relatively large compared to that in a fake-iris. From our experimental results, it is clear that our fake-iris detection method achieves high performance when distinguishing between a live-iris and a fake-iris.

In this paper, we propose a method that extracts an invariant biometric key in order to apply this biometric key to the crypto-biometric system. This system is a new authentication architecture which can improve the security of current cryptographic system and solve the problem of stored template protection in conventional biometric system, also. To use biometric information as a cryptographic key in crypto-biometric system, same key should be generated from the same person. However, it is difficult to obtain such an invariant biometric key because biometric data is sensitive to surrounding environments. The proposed method solves this problem by clustering Iris Codes obtained by using independent component analysis (ICA).

In order to detect the user's gaze position on a monitor by computer vision, the accurate estimations of 3D positions and 3D motion of facial features are required. In this paper, we apply a EKF(Extended Kalman Filter) to estimate 3D motion estimates and assumes that its motion is "smooth" in the sense of being represented as constant velocity translational and rotational model. Rotational motion is defined about the orgin of an face-centered coordinate system, while translational motion is defined about that of a camera centered coordinate system. For the experiments, we use the 3D facial motion data generated by computer simulation. Experiment results show that the simulation data andthe estimation results of EKF are similar.e similar.
