To find out the effect of commercially available energy drinks on tooth enamel erosion, analyzed pH, buffering capacity, and the content of some of the inorganic components selecting 4 energy drinks that has high affinity of the products currently being sold. In addition, by observing the degree of erosion before and after immersion in energy drink by surface microhardness and scanning electron microscope (SEM) the results were as follows: Acidity of energy drink 'Burn Intense' was the lowest as $2.78{\pm}0.01$ highest on distilled water as $6.475{\pm}0.01$. 'Burn Intense' buffering capacity was $3.48{\pm}0.155$ at pH 5.5, $1.88{\pm}0.15$ at pH 7.0 which is the highest, and 'Hot6' was $1.71{\pm}0.37$, $1.23{\pm}0.35$ on each of it showing the lowest points. Ca content on energy drink was the highest at 'Volt Energy' as ($77.21{\pm}2.70mg/kg$), the lowest at 'Hot6' as ($0.98{\pm}0.05mg/kg$). P content was the highest on 'Hot6'($1.34{\pm}0.05mg/kg$) and detected at 'Red Bull'. Enamel surface hardness variation of the energy drinks before and after immersion showed rapid decrease at 'Red Bull' ($66.65{\pm}35.60$), and 'Volt Energy' ($61.96{\pm}31.42$), 'Burn Intense' ($58.53{\pm}24.84$), 'Hot6' ($53.99{\pm}60.26$) was in order. Distilled water, the control group, showed significant difference with the experimental group (p<0.05). But there was no significant difference between energy drinks. At SEM observation and analysis, 'Burn Intense' was the most severe demineralization, 'Volt Energy', 'Hot6', 'Red Bull', distilled water was in order. In the above results, taken together there were no statistically differences between energy drinks but significant difference in comparison with distilled water. In addition, at SEM observation and analysis all energy drink caused dental erosion, especially 'Burn Intense', has the lowest acidity, was serious. Thus, it is believed to provide a variety of oral health education and information about energy drinks that can affect the erosion of the teeth so public have the right to be recognized and reasonable dental care.

Helicopter-borne aeromagnetic surveys at two different times separated by three years were conducted to better understand the shallow subsurface structure of the Vulcano and Lipari volcanic complex, Aeolian Islands, southern Italy, and also to monitor the volcanic activity of the area. As there was no meaningful difference between the two magnetic datasets to imply an apparent change of the volcanic activity, the datasets were merged to produce an aeromagnetic map with wider coverage than was given by a single dataset. Apparent magnetisation intensity mapping was applied to terrain-corrected magnetic anomalies, and showed local magnetisation highs in and around Fossa Cone, suggesting heterogeneity of the cone. Magnetic modelling was conducted for three of those magnetisation highs. Each model implied the presence of concealed volcanic products overlain by pyroclastic rocks from the Fossa crater. The model for the Fossa crater area suggests a buried trachytic lava flow on the southern edge of the present crater. The magnetic model at Forgia Vecchia suggests that phreatic cones can be interpreted as resulting from a concealed eruptive centre, with thick latitic lavas that fill up Fossa Caldera. However, the distribution of lavas seems to be limited to a smaller area than was expected from drilling results. This can be explained partly by alteration of the lavas by intense hydrothermal activity, as seen at geothermal areas close to Porto Levante. The magnetic model at the north-eastern Fossa Cone implies that thick lavas accumulated as another eruption centre in the early stage of the activity of Fossa. Recent geoelectric surveys showed high-resistivity zones in the areas of the last two magnetic models.

The current study examined the effects of radish leaves powder on the excretion of fecal triglyceride, and sterol and hepatic UDP-glucuronyl transferase (UDPGT) activity in rats fed hypercholesterolemic diet. Male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 100$\pm$10 g were randomly assigned to normal control group (N group), normal diet with 5% radish leaves powder supplemented group (NR) and hypercholesterolemic groups, which were sub-divided into radish leaves powder free diet group (HC) and 2.5% (HRL), 5% (HRM), and 10% (HRH) radish leaves powder supplemented groups. The experimental diets were fed ad libitum for 4 weeks. Fecal weights and water contents were significantly increased in all radish leaves powder supplemented groups (NR, HRL, HRM, and HRH) than that of N and HC groups. Fecal total lipid contents including fecal neutral and acidic sterols in radish leaves powder supplemented groups were higher than those of the HC group, and especially that of HRH group was the highest among all experimental groups. Hepatic UDPGT activity of HRH group was 38% higher than that of HC group. Excretions of fecal bile acid were increased 2.3 and 2.7 folds in HRM and HRH groups compared with that of HC group. And neutral sterol, coprostanol, and coprostanone contents of them were higher in radish leaves supplemented groups than in HC group. These results suggest that radish leaves may act as potential substitute for a dietary fiber capable of improving a gastrointestinal function and lipid metabolism.

Treatment effects of grape fruit stem extracts (GFSE) containing trans-resveratrol or fermented pollen (FP), and ethylene gas scavenging material (EGS) on the storage property of fresh jujube (Z izyphus jujuba forma hoonensis C.S. Yook) were investigated. Fresh jujubes were packed in different storage containers (PE film and Lock & Lock vessel), and treated with GFSE containing trans-resveratrol of 30 ppm or 1% FP, and EGS. The storage vessels were stored in refrigerator ($0{\pm}1^{\circ}C$) during 12 weeks, and then quality characteristics during storage period were analysed. Hardness slightly increased until 4 weeks and decreased afterward. Soluble solid ($^{\circ}Bx$) and total titratable acidity of fresh jujube slightly increased in all treatments during storage period. Vitamin C content of fresh jujube slightly decreased in all treatments during storage period. Number of microorganisms decreased until 4 weeks and increased afterward. The decay enzyme activity increased in all treatments during storage period. Storage stability was higher for PE film than Lock & Lock containers. Storage period of fresh jujube in this experiment ranges in $8{\sim}9$ weeks for maturity fruits treated with 30 ppm of GFSE and ethylene gas scavenging material.

In this study, hydrodynamics and reaction characteristic of K-based solid sorbents for $CO_2$ capture were investigated using a continuous system composed of two bubbling fluidized-bed reactors(1.2 m tall bed with 0.11 m i.d.). Potassium-based dry sorbents manufactured by the Korea Electric Power Research Institute were used, which were composed of $K_2CO_3$ of 35% for $CO_2$ absorption and supporters of 65% for mechanical strength. The continuous system consists of two bubbling fluidized-bed reactors, solid injection nozzle, riser, chiller, analyzer and heater for regeneration reaction. The minimum fluidizing velocity of the continuous system was 0.0088 m/s and the solid circulation rate measured was $10.3kg/m^2{\cdot}s$ at 1.05 m/s velocity of the solid injection nozzle. The $CO_2$ concentration of the simulated gas was about 10 vol% in dry basis. Reaction temperature in carbonator and regenerator were maintained about $70^{\circ}C$ and $200^{\circ}C$, respectively. Differential pressures, which were maintained in carbonator and regenerator, were about $415mmH_2O$ and $350mmH_2O$, respectively. In order to find out reaction characteristics of dry sorbents, several experiments were performed according to various experimental conditions such as $H_2O$ content(7.28~19.66%) in feed gas, velocity (0.053~0.103 m/s) of simulated gas, temperature($60{\sim}80^{\circ}C$) of a carbonator, temperature($150{\sim}200^{\circ}C$) of a regenerator and solid circulation rate($7.0{\sim}10.3kg/m^2{\cdot}s$). The respective data of operating variables were saved and analyzed after maintaining one hour in a stable manner. As a result of continuous operation, $CO_2$ removal tended to increase by increasing $H_2O$ content in feed gas, temperature of a regenerator and solid circulation rate and to decrease by increasing temperature of a carbonator and gas velocity in a carbonator.
Effects of substrates and buffer layer upon the formation of crystalline phases and ferroelectricity of $YMnO_3$ thin films were investigated. The hexagonal $YMnO_3$ was easily formed on Si(100) while the mixed phases, hexagonal and orthorhombic $YMnO_3$, on $Pt(111)/TiO_2/SiO_2/Si$ substrate. When the $Y_2O_3$ buffer layer of 70 nm thick was inserted between the substrates and the $YMnO_3,$ the c-axis oriented hexagonal single phase formed on both substrates, Si(100) and $Pt(111)/TiO_2/SiO_2/Si$. The leakage current density of the hexagonal $YMnO_3$ thin films was lower than that consisting of mixed phases, hexagonal and orthorhombic. Furthermore the hexagonal $YMnO_3$ with c-axis preferred orientation showed the lowest leakage current density. The remnant polarization from a P-E hysteresis curve for the $YMnO_3$ formed on Si(100) was 0.14 without buffer layer and $0.24_{mu}C/cm^2$ for that with buffer layer. For the $Pt(111)/TiO_3/SiO_3/Si$ substrates, the specimen without $Y_2O_3$buffer layer did not show the hysteresis curve, while the buffer-layered has the remnant polarization of $1.14_{mu}C/cm^2$. It was concluded that the leakage current density and the ferroelectricity for the $YMnO_3$ thin films could be controlled by varying crystalline phases and their preferred orientation which depend on the kind of substrates and whether the $Y_2O_3$buffer layer exist or not.
Objectives: Chronic pain is one of the most common experiences of humans and a typical psychophysiological disorder. The aim of this study was to measure the psychophysiological responses in chronic pain patients using a biofeedback system, and to compare them with the results from normal healthy subjects. Methods: Forty two patients with chronic pain (17 males and 25 females, average age $44.67{\pm}11.10$ years) and 42 normal healthy controls (17 males and 25 females, average age $45.17{\pm}10.46$ years) participated in this study. Electromyography (EMG), skin conductance (SC), and skin temperature (ST) were recorded using biofeedback system during the 3 phases (baseline, stress, and recovery) of stress reactivity test, and average values of them were calculated. Difference of values between two groups in each corresponding phase was analyzed with independent t-test, and change of values across phases of stress reactivity test was analyzed with paired t-test (all two-tailed, p<0.05). Results: Compared to normal controls, chronic pain patients had higher value of EMG (baseline: $8.10{\pm}5.97{\mu}V$ vs $4.72{\pm}1.52{\mu}V$, t=-3.56, p<0.01; stress: $11.25{\pm}6.89{\mu}V$ vs $8.49{\pm}4.78{\mu}V$, t=-2.13, p<0.05; recovery: $7.12{\pm}3.77{\mu}V$ vs $4.78{\pm}1.59{\mu}V$, t=-3.70, p<0.01) and SC (baseline: $1.06{\pm}1.0{\mu}S$ vs $0.42{\pm}0.29{\mu}S$, t=-4.0. p<0.01; stress: $1.87{\pm}2.05{\mu}S$ vs $1.03{\pm}0.86{\mu}S$, t=-2.47, p<0.05; recovery: $1.74{\pm}1.77{\mu}S$ vs $0.64{\pm}0.59{\mu}S$, t=-3.8, p<0.01) in all the 3 phases. But, skin temperature comparison did not reveal significant differences in all the 3 phases between two groups. Conclusion: Psychophysiological responses of chronic pain patients in stress reactivity test were different from those of normal healthy controls. These results suggest that sympathetic nervous system is more activated in chronic pain patients.

The purpose of this study is to provide a basis for determining when a school established long term school plans accepted by analyzing the trend of increase or decrease elementary school students 30 years to target of following city, 323 elementary schools in Busan - 16 administration zone for this purpose. Results of this study are as follows: First, type 5 occupies 55.4% of the total, followed by the second most, type 10, 21.4%> type 11> type 13> type 15, which is the most urgent object of the student placement plan Can be. Second, the results of the Conflict Model I and Conflict Model II showed that Type1 and Type7 were not needed to be adopted. Third, we can see through the case analysis that the effect of excessive school opening on the decrease of the number of students in the nearby school is serious. Fourth, as a result of analyzing the current number of students in Busan, the number of schools with less than 150 students accounted for 12.4% of the total 323 elementary schools, 30.0% for schools with less than 300 students, and 60.4% for students with less than 600 students. Fifth, when the elementary school student induction rate of urban redevelopment area in Busan was examined, the average induction rate was 0.37.
The focus of this study is to analyze the effect of stress on the health of bruxism patients using the MBTI system. The most common personality type will be identified among the bruxism patients and by understanding their personality & their handling of stress, more comprehesive and effective treatment plan can be constructed. The study will also conclude that the type of personality has big effect on the cause of bruxism, and that this will be considered in the treatment plan in this hospital. The result of the study is as follow. First, more bruxism patients were type I than type E. It can be suggested that this result is due to the introversive people maintaining their energy how within themselves, and private are less to likely to release there stress than the expressive people. Second, among the bruxism patients significantly more type T were found compared to type F. This implies the bruxism tend to follow principals, scientific and analysing during decision making rather than basing their decision an meanings, emotions and influences. Thirdly, more bruxism patients clarified into ST in comparison to non-bruxism patients. This is thought to be due to probable increased stress and anxiety following ST people's tendency to more strict and realistic thinking according to effectiveness, evidence-based and productivity. Fourth, the type IJ was the most of the bruxism patients. We can come to the conclusion that decision-oriented introversion people who have hard to change, a thoroughgoing preparation characters are likely to grind their teeth by their detailed characters. Fifth, the type IT was the most of the bruxism patients. Bruxism patients are usually influenced by spirit, easily hearted, awed of relationship and attention. So, their intensity of stress is much bigger because of their personality. The last, Type IS was the most of the bruxism patients. It means that introvert sensitive types who have characters of calm, passive but defence to other's emotion, also neutral, keep moderation, and have cold-heartedness are likely to grind their teeth frequently. In conclusion it is evident that bruxism patients have particular personality types. Precisive, analysing and introversive bruxism patients are expected to have higher sensitivities to stress.
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there were any changes in taste sensitivity with recurrent aphthous ulceration. Nintyseven subjects(25 males and 72 females) were included for the study and they were categorized into 2 groups(recurrent aphthous ulceration 27 persons, control 70 persons), recurrent aphthous ulceration group was investigated in the department of Oral Medicine, College of Dentistry, Pusan National University from April, 2005 to August, 2006 and control group was investigated in the clinic at Incheon city from June, 2006 to August, 2006. The electrical taste thresholds were measured using an electrogustometer of the 4 different sites(tongue tip, tongue lateral, circumvallate papilla and soft palate) in oral cavity. The results were as follows ; 1. The electrical taste threshold showed significant lower in the RAU group. 2. The electrical taste threshold showed significant lower in female group, and showed significant lower except soft palate in male group of the RAU group. 3. The electrical taste threshold showed a tendency to increase in all site of the multiple RAU group, but there were no significant differences. 4. The electrical taste threshold showed a tendency to increase in tongue lateral of the acute RAU group, and showed a tendency to increase in tongue tip, circumvallate papilla, soft palate of the chronic RAU group. 5. After treatment, electrical taste threshold was significant increase than initial visit in the RAU group. 6. After treatment, NAS showed a tendency to decrease in the RAU group.
