A survey of ascariasis in pigs (960) at three processing plants in Seoul, Daegu and Busan, Korea demonstrated that ascariasis was a common problem in pigs. Ascaris lesions (white and generalized fibrosis) were observed on 547 livers (57%) of the pigs. The greatest occurrence of Ascaris lesions (68%) were found in pigs from the Busan area.

This study survey research of infection control, wastewater management, and instrument disinfection according to characteristic at Daegu, Gyeongbuk Province In 2012 and 2017, the same 114 dental clinics to identify the infection management behavior and prevent infection of dental medical institutions. Scored mean 3.37 points on 8 items of infection control, 95.5% in "records of the patient's medical history", 1.8% in "presence of a wastewater facility." Scored 94.7% in "disinfection of metal trays", 17.5% in "storage from a spitting receptacle in the waste bin and commissioned management.", Scored higher in of infection control, wastewater management and instrument disinfection according to general characteristics and dental characteristics in 2017 than in 2012. Points were higher dental hygienist, University graduation, Type of duty was counseling and management, hospital or higher, Number of dentist(dental hygienist, chair, patient) was high. Therefore raise a need for infection control into consideration the dental characteristics and education and promotion regardless of the hospital size.

이번 제4차 전국 장내 기생충 감염율 실태조사가 바야흐로 진행되는 시점에서 우리나라의 기생충학 수준 뿐 아니라 우리국민의 문화적인 긍지와 단결심을 함깨 자랑하게 되기를 바라는 마음 간절하다. 부디 온 국민이 합심하고 협조하여 이번 실태조사가 성공적으로 수행되기를 다시 한번 지면을 통해 부탁 하고져 한다.

Objective : The aim of this study was to investigate the status of infection for infectious diseases and infection control in occupational therapy. Methods : This study was implemented through the survey composed of the status of infection for infectious disease and the infection control and awareness of the infection control. The duration of survey was a month, June, 2016. 111 occupational therapists in 23 room of occupational therapy completed a survey. Results : 34.8% of occupational therapy room experienced the infectious diseases. This study showed the occupational therapists have high performance in almost items of infection control. But the occupational therapist showed the low performance in the items including 'Washing hands over than 15 seconds', 'Washing hands before and after wearing gloves', 'Wearing mask during treatment', 'Throwing away mask after using' and 'Washing your uniform separate from other cloths'. Almost occupational therapists think infection control is important and the education for infection control is needed in occupational therapy. But most of the education is implemented in only medical institution. Conclusion : To improve performance in infection control, individual effort of occupational therapists and institutional strategies are needed. This study will use as basic data for the education about infection control aimed at the occupational therapists.

'71년부터 매 5년마다 실시되어 올해로 5번째를 맞는 전국 장내 기생충 감염율 실태조사의 가검물 수집이 이제 막바지에 이르고 있다. 기생충검사 무용론이 고개를 들고 있는 요즈음의 상황에서 새벽부터 밤늦게까지 가가호호를 방문하여 채변봉투를 나누어 주고, 또 대변을 수집해오는 일을 게을리하지 않았던 건협 시도지부직원들의 숨은 노력으로 큰 어려움없이 실태조사가 이루어질 수 있었음을 잊어서는 안될 것 같다. 그동안의 우리나라 기생충관리의 총 결산이 되고, 새로운 기생충관리의 총 결산이 되고, 새로운 기생충관리 방향 모색에 잇어 중요한 역할을 하게 될 이번 실태조사의 마지막날까지 지역주민들의 적극적 협조를 바라면서 실태조사 가검물 수집과정의 일들을 이번 호에 실어본다.

본 연구에서는 영상의학과에서 시행하는 검사 중 MRI검사실에서 근무하는 방사선사들의 감염에 대한 인식을 조사하고, 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 키보드와 마우스에 대한 감염관리 실태를 파악함으로써, 작업종사자의 감염관리의 중요성 및 교육의 필요성을 제시하고자 한다.

전반적 기생충 감염율은 감소되는 반면 다른 기생충 질환이 사회적으로 문제가 되고 있으며, 지역에 따라서는 다른 지역에 비해 높은 감염율을 나태 내는 특정 기생충 질환이 문제가 된다.

마이코플라즈마는 양계 산업에 경제적 손실을 임하는 질병중의 하나이다. 그 중에서도 마이코플라즈마 갈리셉티컴(MG, mycoplasma gallisepticum)은 호흡기 질병을 유발하고 산란율을 떨어뜨리며, 마이코플라즈마 시노바에(MS, mycoplasma synoviae)는 호흡기와 관절이상을 가져온다. MG는 MS보다 더 큰 경제적 손실을 입히고 있다. 본 고에서는 MG에 대한 일반 이해와 미국에서의 예방 실태를 알아 본다. MG는 축제를 떠나면 덥고 건조한 조건에서는 불과 몇 시간밖에 생존하지 못하는 유기체이다. MG는 감염 닭과의 직접접촉, 가까운 거리에서는 공기를 통해, 또는 오염된 기구나 작업자들을 통해 수평 감염되거나 종란을 통해 수직감염 된다. MG 감염은 만성호흡기(CRD, Chronic respriatory disease)의 원인이 되는데 특히 어린 병아리와 브로일러에서 그러하다. CRD 즉 만성 호흡기증의 정도는 MG병원성, 전염성 기관지염(IBV, intectious bronchitis virus), 그리고 대장균증과 같은 2차 감염에 의해 더욱 악화 되게 된다.
