A study on the development of preferable font by meaning (의미에 따른 선호 서체 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Each font has its own unique characteristics, thus every font relays a different feeling. The proper selection and usage of fonts helps us further understand the contents they deliver. Use of fonts which varies depending on one's habits or experience, expands the meaning of contents. Hence, users should pick up the most appropriate fontto comply with meanings, gender, age, objects, and cultural environment. The Proper selection of fonts have been emphasized by various researches but currently, there are not much studies undertaken within the domain of fonts. Furthermore, there are no definite standards or guidelines to proper font selection or their usage. This study delves into changes of font preference according to meaningful sentences and meaningless sentences with the former comprising in positive and negative sentences. The authors of this research hope that this study will help users to understand the necessity for application of different fonts in tune with each meaning , guideline for the application methods, provision of instruction on developing fonts to font makers.

  • As the scale of the internet grows, the amount of subjective data increases. Thus, A need to classify automatically subjective data arises. Sentiment classification is a classification of subjective data by various types of sentiments. The sentiment classification researches have been studied focused on NLP(Natural Language Processing) and sentiment word dictionary. The former sentiment classification researches have two critical problems. First, the performance of morpheme analysis in NLP have fallen short of expectations. Second, it is not easy to choose sentiment words and determine how much a word has a sentiment. To solve these problems, this paper suggests a combination of using web-scale data and a statistical approach to sentiment classification. The proposed method of this paper is using statistics of words from web-scale data, rather than finding a meaning of a word. This approach differs from the former researches depended on NLP algorithms, it focuses on data. Hadoop and MapReduce will be used to handle web-scale data.

A Rating Inference of Movie Reviews Using Sentiment Patterns (감성 패턴을 이용한 영화평 평점 추론)

  • We propose the sentiment pattern as a novel sentiment feature for more accurate text sentiment analysis, and introduce the rating inference of movie reviews using it. The text sentiment analysis is a task that recognizes and classifies sentiment of text whether it is positive or negative. For that purpose, the sentiment feature is used, which includes sentiment words and phrase pattern that have specific sentiment like positive or negative. The previous researches for the sentiment analysis, however, have a limit to understand accurately total sentiment of either a sentence or text because they consider the sentiment of sentiment words and phrase patterns independently. Therefore, we propose the sentiment pattern that is defined by arranging semantically all sentiment in a sentence, and use them as a new sentiment feature for the rating inference that is one of the detail subjects of the sentiment analysis. In order to verify the effect of proposed sentiment pattern, we conducted experiments of rating inference. Ratings of test reviews is inferred by using a probabilistic method with sentiment features including sentiment patterns extracted from training reviews. As a result, it is shown that the result of rating inference with sentiment patterns are more accurate than that without sentiment patterns.

DecoFESA: A Hybrid Platform for Feature-based Sentiment Analysis Based on DECO-LGG Linguistic Resources with Parser and LSTM (DECO-LGG 언어자원 및 의존파서와 LSTM을 활용한 하이브리드 자질기반 감성분석 플랫폼 DecoFESA 구현)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국어 감성분석 성능 향상을 위한 DECO(Dictionnaire Electronique du COreen) 한국어 전자사전과 LGG(Local-Grammar Graph) 패턴문법 기술 프레임에 의존파서 및 LSTM을 적용하는 하이브리드 방법론을 제안하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 DECO-LGG 언어자원을 소개하고, 이에 기반하여 의미 정보를 의존파서(D-PARS)와 페어링하는 한편 OOV(Out Of Vocabulary)의 문제를 LSTM을 통해 해결하여 자질기반 감성분석 결과를 제시하였다. 부트스트랩 방식으로 반복 확장될 수 있는 LGG 언어자원 및 알고리즘을 통해 수행되는 자질기반 감성분석 프로세스는 전용 플랫폼 DecoFESA를 통해 그 범용성을 확장하였다. 실험을 위해서 네이버 쇼핑몰의 '화장품 구매 후기글'을 크롤링하였으며, DecoFESA 플랫폼을 통해 현재 구축된 DECO-LGG 언어자원 기반의 감성분석 성능을 평가하였다. 이를 통해 대용량 언어자원의 구축과 이를 활용하기 위한 어휘 시퀀스 처리 알고리즘의 구현이 보다 정확한 자질기반 감성분석 결과를 제공할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 외부환경을 인식하고 상황을 판단해 자율적으로 행동하는 지능형 서비스 로봇은 앞으로 새로운 시장을 열어줄 것으로 기대되며 이와 관련된 연구와 개발이 빠르게 확대되고 있다. 이러한 서비스 로봇에게 가장 중요한 기능은 인간과의 원활한 상호작용이다. 여기서 말하는 상호작용이란 단순히 인간이 원하는 것을 명령하고, 로봇이 이 명령을 수행하는 것에 그치는 것이 아니라, 로봇이 스스로 인간의 감정을 파악하고, 이에 대한 적절한 로봇 자신의 감정 표출이나 서비스, 행동을 제공함으로써 직접적인 소통이 이루어지는 것을 의미한다. 이렇게 로봇이 자연스럽게 인간과 함께 공존하기 위해서 감성 로봇(Emotional Robot) 분야에서 관련된 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다 본 논문에서는 국내의 감성 로봇의 연구 현황과 발전 방향에 대해 서술한다.

  • 현대 패션분야에서 디자이너들의 예술적 표현의 주제이자 매체로서 활용되고 있는 빛은 보다 감성지향적인 방향으로 발전되는 추세로서, 빛을 활용한 감성 패션디자인에 대한 표현 방법과 조형적 특성을 분석하는 것은 매우 의미있는 일이다. 패션디자인에서 빛을 표현하는 방법으로는 빛의 반사, 이미지 표현, 발광, 투사에 의해 독창적으로 응용되어져 표현되어 왔으며, 다양한 빛의 표현을 위해 재료의 물성을 조작함으로써 얻을 수 있는 빛의 유희, 명암이나 형태, 색채를 통한 빛의 재현, 발광물질이나 인공광에 의한 발광, 프로젝터를 통한 빛 이미지 등 다양한 표현방법이 활용되고 있었다. 빛이 활용된 감성 패션디자인의 조형적 특성으로는 상호작용성, 영상성, 투명성, 실험성으로 분류되었다. 상호작용성은 착용자의 행위에 의한 변형과 신체의 변화나 감정의 변화에 의한 불빛이나 영상 패턴이 바뀌는 등 형태나 컬러, 영상의 변형 등 착용자의 메시지 전달이나, 감정표현, 신체보호, 그리고 재미를 유발하는 효과를 자아내는 것으로 나타났다. 영상성은 디지털 이미지를 활용한 것과 내부 광원에 의한 발광성으로 분류되며, 드레스에 장착된 수많은 LED 에 의한 영상을 만들거나 이미지를 확대시키는 방법으로 표현된 영상성은 심미적인 효과가 우선시되었다. 투명성은 주로 비닐, 플라스틱, 기능적 소재 등 투명한 소재들을 이용하여 대부분 재료의 특성이 조형적 특성으로 분석되었고, 외부와의 개방성과 위장가능성의 효과를 준다거나, 투명한 재질에 이미지가 변화하는 이미지의 중첩성과 같은 효과를 나타내었다. 실험성은 새로운 실험적 도구로서의 패션을 표현하고자 할 때, '빛'을 매개체로 하여 관심을 유도하고 재미를 더해주며, 신비주의적 환상이나 호기심을 불러일으키는 효과를 나타내었다. 이처럼 빛을 활용한 패션디자인은 빛을 매개체로 하여 다양한 표현방법으로 활용이 가능하며 특유의 조형적 특성을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • The principle of human perception, behavior, and thought is presented in the traditional interface design study that is ease to use and increase the learn-ability. We believe that the usability is related to user's affection. The goal of this paper is to investigate how visual metaphor works in usability and affection in interface to analyse the effect of visual metaphor to user affection. Literature reviews for the concept of metaphor and affection design conducted. We analyse the effect to user's affection through think-aloud i.e. protocol analysis for metaphor.

  • As occasion demands to obtain efficient information from many documents and reviews on the Internet in many kinds of fields, automatic classification of opinion or thought is required. These automatic classification is called sentiment classification, which can be divided into three steps, such as subjective expression classification to extract subjective sentences from documents, sentiment classification to classify whether the polarity of documents is positive or negative, and strength classification to classify whether the documents have weak polarity or strong polarity. The latest studies in Opinion Mining have used N-gram words, lexical phrase pattern, and syntactic phrase pattern, etc. They have not used single word as feature for classification. Especially, patterns have been used frequently as feature because they are more flexible than N-gram words and are also more deterministic than single word. Theses studies are mainly concerned with English, other studies using patterns for Korean are still at an early stage. Although Korean has a slight difference in the meaning between predicates by the change of endings, which is 'Eomi' in Korean, of declinable words, the earlier studies about Korean opinion classification removed endings from predicates only to extract stems. Finally, this study introduces the earlier studies and methods using pattern for English, uses extracted sentimental patterns from Korean documents, and classifies polarities of these documents. In this paper, it also analyses the influence of the change of endings on performances of opinion classification.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the perceptions of disabled sports that were reported the newspapers using semantic network analysis method. for this purpose, 745 news articles were selected from 21 source in Naver news searching engine. The main keyword for searching on newspapers was 'disabled sports'. Krkwic software was used for keyword cleansing and co-occurrence of text to text matrix in frequencies. Centrality indices that are degree, between and eigenvector, were used to analyze the perceptions of disabled sports from Netminer 4.0 for semantic network analysis. The conclusion of overall results from this study are follows; First, the core keyword of disabled sports in newspapers are 'impression', 'challenge', 'festival', 'dream' and hope. And there is different concepts of cognition among types of disability. Second, there are two elements on the perceptions of disabled sports from reported newspapers; sports performance and emotional. Specifically, main stream of keyword were 'Paralympics' and 'Special Olympics' on sports performance element and 'impressive' and 'challenge' in emotion element.

  • The purpose of this paper is to present the direction of emotional lighting design of a new concept suitable for the user's living environment based on the experiment and the result of the recognition of the cognitive effect of the color of the lighting on the user's sensibility. As a research method, we collected meaningful results of color temperature and emotion of light through literature research and experimented with users in their twenties. Based on this, we presented the design direction of emotional lighting. As a result, we designed emotional lighting that can transform the shape of the four joints freely to realize the user's demand. We also derive the color temperature of light that can be optimized for the user's work and environment, Concentration, mood, and relaxation. The result of this paper is meaningful and worthy of suggesting emotional lighting design with user - oriented new perspective, deviating from previous method of planning lighting.
