This study investigates the dominant degree of product design factors through the process of change of design factors. The previous research suggested a concrete measurement method of dominant designs, but it did not investigate empirically the degree of dominance due to the limited data for changes of designs. In this research, thus, after collecting design data of mobile phones and we measured the dominance and structure change of the designs by year. The analyses showed the following two things. First, in design factors of mobile phone the dominance on the body form and the edge grows more and both of them as dominant design factors tend to converge into the rectangular body form and the round edge, respectively. Second, the dominance on other design factors(e.g. the button type, the open type, whether or not to have digital multimedia broadcasting(DMB) and video telephony functions, the combination of colors and the body color) increases and decreases; and hence, design levels tend to diverge. In conclusion, the measurement of dominance on product design factors contributes to marketing managers and designers who are required to establish a strategy for products under the rapidly changing circumstances of market. This research aims to provide those managers and designers with a guide line for a successful development of new product to prepare for the dominant design from this empirical study.

As the result of analysis, it has been shown that the factor of sound to reveal trait of Jeonju is the image of bright, delight, and cozy with consideration of harmony, dynamics, contrast, and culture. For this study is to provide data so it can be used to actively establish and identify the local image.

Sonic branding is defined as creation and management of brand value by using sounds. Among various methods of sonic branding, sonic logo, i.e., brand’s acoustic identification element, is the most widely used form and usually combined with visual logo. Although sonic branding has become an increasingly important tool for marketers, little academic research has been done on this topic. The current study investigates neural responses to sonic branding using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI). Brain activity of 15 right-handed participants was monitored with 3T MRI machine, while they viewed sequentially presented pictures of brand logos (20 visual logos usually accompanied by sonic logos and 20 visual logos unaccompanied by sonic logos) without sound. Results showed that brain areas known to be associated with auditory imagery (including superior temporal gyrus, STG), showed greater activation for the visual logos usually accompanied by sonic logos compared to visual logos unaccompanied by sonic logos, although actual sound was not presented during scanning. The degree of familiarity participants have with the brand and its advertisements was correlated positively with signal strength in these areas.
This study was aimed to analyze the wedding servicescape color combination image focusing on the comparison between hotel banquet hall, general wedding hall and sanctuary. The survey was conducted among 400 customers(aged from 20~39 years old) who lived in Seoul and Kyunggi Province and 315 were analyzed. The statistical data analyses were performed using SPSS/WIN 17.0 and reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA were used. Based on the result of the conducting factor analysis, color image of wedding hall were classified into 3 factors: delicateness, nobleness, and vivaciousness. Cronbach's alpha was calculated for the reliability of the survey instrument. Consequently, wedding hall color image were shown 'clear' 3.60, 'mild' 3.50, 'delicate' 3.38. Comparison among wedding hall types, 'vivaciousness' was 3.00 at general wedding hall, 'nobleness' was 3.64 at hotel banquet hall, and 'delicateness' was 3.60 at hotel banquet hall. Demographic differences of wedding hall color image were found by sex, marital status, monthly income but not by age, education and occupation. The results of this study will serve as a basis of wedding hall color marketing researches.

The importance of corporate identity design has been recently highlighted in the marketing. However, logotype among marks that represent the image of a company has been neglected relatively comparing to symbol mark and logo mark. A logotype should be something to represent the personalities and characteristics of a company in suggestive ways. For such reasons, the image expressions by shape are thought to be important. Consequently, the formative aspects of visual communication design should be examined with emphases. However, it is true that studies on the formative aspects regarding logotypes and logo marks, especially studies on the shapes of font types and the responses of consumers to them, are lacking. Accordingly, this study examined the visual shape of logotype preferred by consumers and the shape of logotype preferred by consumers according to the business type of companies. As a result of research, there were differences in the elements of logotype preferred according to the business type of companies; as for construction companies is preferred the body of the type of dotum font with bold stem, without serif, with oblique, straight-line and curve-line endings; as for banks is preferred the body of the type of dotum font without serif, with oblique ending and with one-side curve style of serif, the stem in a middle level; as for laboratories is preferred the body of the type of dotum font with oblique ending, with bold stem and straight-line serif. The elements that should be commonly applied to construction companies, banks and laboratories appear to be the oblique ending but the curve-line ending and shallow stem seemed to be avoided. On the other hand, the serif, ending and gulim appeared to be applied differently according to the business type.
Consumer review analysis is important for product development, customer satisfaction, competitive advantage, and effective marketing. Increased use of wireless earphones is expected to reach $45.7 billion by 2026 with growth in lifestyle. Therefore, in consideration of the growth and importance of the market, consumer reviews of wireless earphones from Apple and Samsung were analyzed. In this study, 11,320 wireless earphone reviews from Apple and Samsung sold on Coupang were collected to analyze consumers' purchase intentions and analyze consumer satisfaction through analysis of the frequency, sensitivity, and LDA topic model of text mining. As a result of topic modeling, 16 topics were derived and classified into sound quality, connection, shopping mall service, purchase intention, battery, delivery, and price. As a result of brand comparison, Samsung purchased a lot for gift purposes, had a high positive sentiment for price, and Apple had a high positive sentiment for battery, sound quality, connection, service, and delivery. The results of this study can be used as data for related industries as a result of research that can obtain improvements and insights on customer satisfaction, quality and market trends, including manufacturing, retail, marketers, and consumers.

The concept of food coordination was introduced at the end of the 1990s and has generated a great deal of interest until now. However, no standard for the classification of such studies has been established yet. This study was conducted to examine the trends in food coordination studies published from 2000 to 2008. To accomplish this, approximately 335 food coordination articles were reviewed. Classification based on content analysis and the document review were conducted based on study themes(subjects), study forms, study designs, places of application, survey area and sample types. The most important type of study identified in this review was study themes. The themes of the study were divided into the following 10 subjects: 1) studies on the definition and recognition of food coordination, 2) studies on the environment, 3) studies on colors and package designs, 4) studies on table setting, table manner and etiquette, 5) studies on photography, editorial design, identity design and menu, 6) studies on components of dining atmosphere display and table/glass ware, 7) studies on emotions and sensibility, the five senses and food coordination, 8) studies on human resources, 9) studies on reviews, food & culture and education, 10) studies on purchasing, consumer behavior and marketing. The most common subjects were the components of dining atmosphere display and table/glass ware(23.6%). In addition, 17% of the articles reviewed were conducted to study colors and package designs, 14.6% to evaluate purchasing and consumer behavior and marketing, 13.4% to evaluate the environment, and 9.6% to study food & culture and education. Overall, these five subjects accounted for more than 75% of the articles reviewed.
