  • The purpose of this study was to examine relationships among information resources use, critical thinking, and nursing information literacy competency, and then to identify predictors of nursing information literacy competency in nursing students. The self-reported questionnaires were administered to 118 senior nursing students in two universities, J city. As results of multiple regression analysis, the factors affecting nursing information literacy competency in nursing students were critical thinking (${\beta}=.54$, p<.001) and electronic information resources use (${\beta}=.27$, p<.001), explained 44% of the total variance (F=44.96, p<.001). Based on our results, a educational program for strengthening critical thinking disposition and use of electronic information resources is needed to be developed to improve nursing information literacy competency of nursing students.

The study participants were 172 nursing students of a university in Chungnam province. Data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire from December 1 to 20, 2015. Collected data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 20.0 program with descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe test. The level of the emotional intelligence, college adjustment, and nursing professionalism were not high, and the emotional intelligence of nursing students had positive correlation with college adjustment(r=.448, p<.001)and nursing professionalism(r=.376, p<.001). These results suggest that nursing interventions to improve the emotional intelligence of nursing students should be developed and applied for improvement of college adjustment and nursing professionalism.

  • This study was attempted to predict the direction for ward nursing work through robotic systemization. Robot systems have not been universalized due to difficulties in operation, space constraints, and high prices. The robotic systemization should be focused on the robotic systemization of simple and repetitive tasks. The idea of a robot system for measuring vital signs and a robot system that helps bed sheet exchange is worth discussing with the engineering field. In addition, for successful nursing and interdisciplinary convergence, a detailed analysis of nursing work is required, and in order to overcome the trial and error of convergence, it is necessary to establish a converging society between nursing and interdisciplinary systems. Robotic systemization of successful ward nursing work will not only generate profits for hospitals, but also raise the status of nurses and will be the starting point for innovation in nursing work.

This study was conducted using Walker & Avant's concept analysis framework, There were five aspects of the concept of Clinical Nurse's Self-Efficacy: To have faith and expectation that nurses can overcome stress and adversity in the clinical environment, To have a clear direction by believing that nurses themselves have the ability to perform nursing tasks, Allowing nurses to continue their work by believing that they have appropriate judgment to control various situations in clinical practice, Having a challenging sense of goal and motivating for the future through active participation in nursing work, and influencing various aspects from individual nurses to patients and hospital organizations. This conceptual analysis of clinical nurses' self-efficacy can recognize the need to prepare an educational system to improve nurses' self-efficacy and conduct related research.
