A Research on the Methods of Forming the Fandoms of the Theatre - Centered on the Comparisons between K-POP and the Theatre (연극의 팬덤 형성 방법 연구 K-POP과 연극의 비교를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to seek the methodologies for forming the fandoms of the Theatre. For the research, I explain by giving the example of the K-POP, of which the fandom has already been spread. Afterwards, I describe about the items which can substitute the plays and about the limits. By escaping from the passive consumptions, the fandoms have been expanded to the domain in which the culture is reborn. The cultural activities of the fandoms have come out of simply liking the fans, and the domain has been widened to the social activities. In the case of the K-POP, it has gone beyond Korea and has the fandoms in the whole world. Regarding the reasons why the fandoms could be formed in relation to the K-POP, firstly, it is because the project-type stars made by the large-scale agency had existed. Secondly, it is because the methods of accessing the contents had become simple through the online proliferation, such as the YouTube and the SNS's. Lastly, it is because the cultural activities of the fandoms give the joys, thereby continually maintaining the fandoms. If this is substituted for the Theatre, in the case of the Theatre, in order for the large-scale agencies to make the plans for and train the actors and the actresses, there are, somewhat, the excesses. However, if a PR method suitable for the online environment is developed and if the common joy is given to the audience of the Theatre, there is the possibility that the fandoms can be invigorated regarding the Theatre. Although, with regard to the K-POP and the Theatre, there exist the differences between the contents, if the methodologies of the K-POP fandoms, which have invigorated the fandoms and have been managing stably, are substituted for the plays, the invigoration of the fandoms is possible regarding the Theatre, too.

  • (주)지노믹트리는 DNA 마이크로어레이 기술을 기반으로 하는 분자진단회사로서, 다음의 세가지 사업에 전력하고 있다. 첫째는 독창적이며 특화된 바이오마커 발굴기술 (MAGIC system)을 바탕으로 각종 암진단을 위한 바이오마커 개발연구 두 번째는 당사의 원천 기술인 다중동시검출 시스템을 이용한 질병 진단 시스템 및 증폭시스템 세 번째는 마이크로어레이 기술을 이용한 유전자 발현 분석, Array CGH, DNA 메틸레이션 분석 그리고 miRNA 검출 등의 지노믹스시대의 연구를 위한 토탈솔루션을 제공하고 있다. 지난 5년간의 마이크로어레이 기반기술을 이용한 자체연구 활동을 수행하면서 축적된 마이크로어레이 관련기술 노-하우들을 국내 마이크로어레이 연구자들에게 공급하기 위하여 노력하고 있다. 특히 당사의 지노믹서비스 부문은 유전자 발현 분석 솔루션 제공을 위해서 자체적으로 제작하여 공급하고 있는 human cDNA(17K/25K) 및 rat cDNA (5.0K) 마이크로어레이, Human (22K) 및 mouse (10K) 올리고뉴클레오타이드 마이크로 어레이 그리고 미생물 연구를 위한 대장균 (6K) 및 폐렴균 (2.2K) 올리고뉴클레오타이드 마이크로어레이 제공 및 이를 이용한 유전자 발현 분석 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 체적으로 제작되는 마이크로어레이 서비스는 2001년 도입한 ISO9001 품질인증시스템의 기반하에서 제작부터 생산까지의 엄격한 품질관리 과정을 거쳐서 고품질의 마이크로어레이를 이용한 분석서비스를 제공 하고 있다. 또한 고객요구형 서비스를 위하여 국외 유수의 마이크로어레이 회사 (Agilent, Microarray Inc, TIGR, Eurogentec 등)의 whole genome 기반의 마이크로어레이 제품을 이용한 분석서비스를 제공하고 있으며 마이크로어레이 실험을 위해서 필수적으로 이용되고 있는 시약 (labeling kit), 마이크로어레이 hybridization을 위한 hardware (hybridization chamber, hnay centrifuge)등을 자체적으로 개발하여 공급하고 있다. DNA copy number 측정을 위한 Array CGH 분석을 위해서는 자체적으로 제작공구하고 있는 human cDNA 마이크로어레이 (17K/25K) 그기고 rat (5.0K) 마이크로어레이를 이용한 분석서비스 및 whole genome 기반의 Agilent 올리고뉴클레오타이드 CGH 어레이 (44K, 35Kb resolution)를 이용한 분석서비스를 제공하고 있다. Epigenetic study를 하는 연구자들을 위한 메틸레이션 마이크로어레이 분석 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 기존분석법인 Bisulfite 처리기반의 분석이 아닌 enzyme digestion후 PCR 증폭방법을 이용한 분석방법을 이용함으로써, bisulfite 처리에 의한 DNA 손실문제를 최소화 하였다. 현재 50개의 문헌을 통해 잘 보고된 메틸레이션 유전자들에 대한 분석서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 지속적으로 표적컨텐츠의 숫자를 증가시킬 예정이다. 최근 많은 연구자들의 관심을 끌고 있는 micro RNA 검출을 위한 DNA 마이크로어레이 서비스를 제공할 예정이다 (2006년 3월 출시). 현재 까지 알려진 약 320개의 모든 miRNA를 탑재하고 있는 소형 DNA 마이크로어레이를 이용한 분석서비스로서 1장의 마이크로어레이 실험을 통하여 알려진 모든 miRNA의 비교분석이 가능하다. 마이크로어레이 실험 뿐만 아니라 data 분석을 위한 software도 상당히 중요한 비중을 차지하고 있다 이를 위하여 (주)지노믹트리는 Agilent에서 개발한 GeneSpring GX (유전자 발현 분석), Signet (마이크로어레이 database) 및 GeneSpring GT (SNP 분석)를 공급하고 있다. 통계적인 기반 지식의 없은 일반 user들을 위한 간편하면서도 종합적인 기능을 포함하고 있는 우수한 프로그램으로 이미 국제적으로 많은 인정을 받고 있다. Evaluation of the Inelastic Seismic Response of Curved Bridges by Capacity Spectrum Method using Equivalent Damping (등가감쇠비를 이용한 역량스펙트럼법에 의한 곡선교의 비탄성지진응답 평가)

  • The capacity spectrum method (CSM), which is known to be an approximate technique for assessing the seismic capacity of an existing structure, was originally proposed for simple building structures that could be modeled as single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) systems. More recently, however, CSM has increasingly been adopted for assessing most bridge structures, as it has many practical advantages. Some studies on this topic are now being performed, and a few results of these have been presented as ground-breaking research. However, studies have until now been limited to symmetrical straight bridges only. This study evaluates the practical applicability of CSM to the evaluation of irregular curved bridges. For this purpose, the seismic capacities of 3-span prestressed concrete bridges with different subtended angles subjected to some recorded earthquakes are compared with a more refined approach based on nonlinear time history analysis. The results of the study show that when used for curved bridges, CSM induces higher inelastic displacement responses than the actual values, and that the gap between the two becomes larger as the subtended angle increases.

An Adaptive Data Compression Algorithm for Video Data (사진데이타를 위한 한 Adaptive Data Compression 방법)

  • This paper presents an adaptive data compression algorithm for video data. The coling complexity due to the high correlation in the given data sequence is alleviated by coding the difference data, sequence rather than the data sequence itself. The adaptation to the nonstationary statistics of the data is confined within a code set, which consists of two constant length cades and six modified Shannon.Fano codes. lt is assumed that the probability distributions of tile difference data sequence and of the data entropy are Laplacian and Gaussion, respectively. The adaptive coding performance is compared for two code selection criteria: entropy and $P_r$[difference value=0]=$P_0$. It is shown that data compression ratio 2 : 1 is achievable with the adaptive coding. The gain by the adaptive coding over the fixed coding is shown to be about 10% in compression ratio and 15% in code efficiency. In addition, $P_0$ is found to he not only a convenient criterion for code selection, but also such efficient a parameter as to perform almost like entropy.

  • Aging and severe environments are major causes of damage in reinforced concrete (RC) structures such as buildings and bridges. Deterioration such as concrete cracks, corrosion of steel, and deformation of structural members can significantly degrade the structural performance and safety. Therefore, effective and easy-to-use methods are desired for repairing and strengthening such concrete structures. Various methods for strengthening and rehabilitation of RC structures have been developed in the past several decades. Recently, FRP composite materials have emerged as a cost-effective alternative to the conventional materials for repairing, strengthening, and retrofitting deteriorating/deficient concrete structures, by externally bonding FRP laminates to concrete structural members. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) in predicting behavior of circular type concrete column retrofitted with FRP. To construct training and testing dataset, experiment results for the specimens which have different retrofit profile are used. Retrofit ratio, strength of existing concrete, thickness, number of layer, stiffness, ultimate strength of fiber and size of specimens are selected as input parameters to predict strength, strain, and stiffness of post-yielding modulus. These proposed ANFIS models show reliable increased accuracy in predicting constitutive properties of concrete retrofitted by FRP, compared to the constitutive models suggested by other researchers.

Effect of Vegetal Complex Raw Food on Plasma Glucose and Lipid Composition in High Fat Diet-induced Diabetic Rats (식물류를 이용한 생식용 천연복합식품이 고지방 식이에 의한 당뇨병 유발쥐의 혈청 glucose함량 및 지질구성에 미치는 영향)

  • This experiment was conducted to develop and design a product that is convenient and helpful to both patients and ordinary people who want to maintain their health. In this experimentation, the experimental rat have been given with high fat food to induce Diabetes. Organic brown rice was given as their main energy source and natural complex food, most of materials were freeze-dried, was given to observe its effects on their glucose amount in the plasma. The results are as follows. During 28 days of basal diets, as observing their weight variations, normal group gained weights, but the natural complex food(NCF) groups lost their weights. As comparing the amount of neutral fat levels in the plasma between the diabetes group who just had basal group and one who had NCF, group with NCF groups' level was much lower than the other group who just had basal food. As comparing total cholesterol levels in the plasma, with diabetes group with basal food, $50\%$ and $100\%$ NCF groups' levels were lowered than that group. Regarding HDL-cholesterol level, all NCE groups had around 30mg/dl and there were not much fluctuation among groups. As for LDL-cholesterol level, the $100\%$ NCF group had the lowest level and showed almost the same as the normal group. The amounts of the glucose in the plasma were lowered in all NCF groups. Among those NCE groups, $100\%$ NCF group had 120mg/dl to reach almost the same as the normal group.

Development of a Photoplethysmographic method using a CMOS image sensor for Smartphone (스마트폰의 CMOS 영상센서를 이용한 광용적맥파 측정방법 개발)

  • Pulse wave is the physiological responses through the autonomic nervous system such as ECG. It is relatively convenient because it can measure the signal just by applying a sensor on a finger. So, it can be usefully employed in the field of U-Healthcare. The objects of this study are acquiring the PPG (Photoplethysmography) one of the way of measuring the pulse waves in non-invasive way using the CMOS image sensor on a smartphone camera, developing the portable system judging stressful or not, and confirming the applicability in the field of u-Healthcare. PPG was acquired by using image data from smartphone camera without separate sensors and analyzed. Also, with that image signal data, HRV (Heart Rate Variability) and stress index were offered users by just using smartphone without separate host equipment. In addition, the reliability and accuracy of acquired data were improved by developing additional hardware device. From these experiments, we can confirm that measuring heart rate through the PPG, and the stress index for analysis the stress degree using the image of a smartphone camera are possible. In this study, we used a smartphone camera, not commercialized product or standardized sensor, so it has low resolution than those of using commercialized external sensor. However, despite this disadvantage, it can be usefully employed as the u-Healthcare device because it can obtain the promising data by developing additional external device for improvement reliability of result and optimization algorithm.

Discrimination of Geographical Origin for Herbal Medicine by Mineral Content Analysis with Energy Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (에너지분산형 X-선 형광분석기를 이용한 한약재의 무기질 분석 및 이에 의한 원산지 판별)

  • In this study, the macromineral content ratios of four herbal medicine samples(Saposhnikoviae Radix, Bupleuri Radix, Cnidii Rhizoma, and Astragali Radix) were analyzed to discriminate their geographical origins using an energydispersive x-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) technique. EDXRF is a rapid, non-destructive, and multi-elemental analysis technique. Initially, samples of both domestic and imported herbal medicines were pulverized, and then their macromineral contents, including P, S, K, and Ca, were analyzed using EDXRF. For the discrimination of their geographical origins, canonical discriminant analysis was carried out based on the estimated macromineral relative content ratios of the samples. According to the results, the discrimination accuracies were as follows: 93.3% for Saposhnikoviae Radix, 95.7% for Bupleuri Radix, 98.8% for Cnidii Rhizoma, and 87.5% for Astragali Radix. Overall, the results imply that this technique could be used as a standard method, to discriminate their geographical origins between domestic and imported herbal medicines.

Effects of a Blindfold in Improving Concentration (착용형 시야 가리개가 집중력 향상에 미치는 영향)

  • A study was conducted on the effects of improving concentration by obscuring the peripheral vision using a blindfold that only covers the left and right sides of the field of view. The blindfold was trapezoidal in shape (5 × 4.8 cm in length and width) and was fixed to the left and right sides of the glasses with fixing clips. The material was a black-colored polypropylene (PP) and weighed 2.3 g including the clip. Qualitative and quantitative evaluations were performed on 50 healthy college students during the 15 days of using a blindfold. The qualitative analysis was performed utilizing a questionnaire regarding the improvement of concentration and the structure of the blindfold. EEG was measured while watching a learning video that required attention for quantitative analysis, and signal power and ERD/S analyses were performed for the mid β band (15-20 Hz) at the F4 position, which was the frontal lobe. The results showed that 40 of the 50 people reported improved concentration when they wore a vision shield, and 80% of the total subjects found it to be effective. From the quantitative evaluation, the ERS peak (p = 0.023) and the ERD + ERS peak value showed a significant difference (p = 0.017). In conclusion, concentration still improved even if only the left and right visual fields were used. Thus, it is expected that blindfolding could be used in various environments that require concentration.

Development of Voltammetric Nanobio-incorporated Analytical Method for Protein Biomarker Specific to Early Diagnosis of Lung Cancer (폐암 조기 진단을 위한 단백질 바이오마커 측정용 전압-전류법 기반의 나노바이오 분석법 개발)

  • In this article, a portable and cost-effective voltammetric biosensor with nanoparticles was developed for the measurements of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 protein (hnRNP A1) biomarker which can potentially be used for lung cancer diagnosis. Gold nanoparticles were first electrodeposited onto screen printed carbon electrode (SPCE) followed by immobilizing a single stranded DNA aptamer specific to hnRNP A1 onto the electrode surface. Ethanolamine was also used when immobilizing DNA aptamer on the surface to prevent signals from non-specific adsorption events. Sequential injection of hnRNP A1 biomarker and anti-hnRNP A1 conjugated with alkaline phosphatase (ALP) onto the aptamer chip surface allows to form the sandwich complex of DNA aptamer/hnRNP A1/ALP-anti-hnRNP A1 on the electrode surface which further reacted with 4-aminophenyl phosphate (APP). The electrocatalytic reaction of the enzyme, ALP, and the substrate, APP, resulting in the oxidative current response changes at -0.05 and -0.17 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) against the hnRNP A1 concentration was measured using cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry, respectively. The Au nanoparticles-integrated voltammetric biosensor was applied to analyze human normal serum solutions possibly suggesting potential applicability for lung cancer diagnosis.
