Performance of Unified Inter-Cell Interference Avoidance and Cancellation in OFDM Mobile Cellular Systems (OFDM 이동 셀룰러 시스템에서 셀간간섭 회피 및 제거의 결합 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we explain the unified inter-cell interference avoidance and cancellation in OFDM mobile cellular systems. Interference avoidance is used for cell-interior or two-cell-edge users, and interference cancellation is applied to three-cell-edge users. The performance of the unified scheme is evaluated by simplified system simulation. Link simulation results are used in the interpretation of system simulation output. We compare three schemes which are "no interference management," "only interference avoidance," "both avoidance and cancellation." Primary performance measures are the data rate of the 5th percentile user and the mean data rate. Simulation results show that interference management schemes greatly improve the cell edge performance, but slightly reduce the mean data rate. Use of both avoidance and cancelaltion is better than that of only avoidance in terms of the cell edge throughput and the mean data rate.

Interference Avoidance Beamforming for Relay-Based Cellular Networks (릴레이 기반 셀룰러 네트웍을 위한 간섭 회피 빔 성형 기법)

  • In this paper, for a relay-based cellular network, a interference avoidance beamforming technique is proposed to enhance direct link capacity while minimizing loss in the capacity of concurrent relaying link. A direct link is transmitted by beamforming at the transmitter, and the relaying link with the least interference to the direct link is scheduled to transmit data by a collision avoidance scheduling algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed IA beamforming provides a considerable direct link capacity enhancement while minimizing relaying link capacity loss by effectively mitigating inference between concurrent direct and relaying links only with limited feedback.

  • In LTE-Advanced systems, every sector uses the entire range of the frequency resource, and when the UEs are located at a cell edge, user throughputs degrade due to the interferences from the adjacent cells. In this paper, we propose a combined scheme for inter-cell interference avoidance and power control. In the proposed algorithm, the sectors consist of the right edge, the left edge and the center for resource allocation and we control the transmission power to improve the user throughputs at the edge of each cell. Using a system level simulation, we analyze low 5th percentile and average user throughputs of the UEs who are located the cell, center and edge when the inter-cell interference avoidance and the power control are combined.

  • In this paper, we propose a PRF design method to improve the performance of the ESA radar, by excluding the interference from an improper PRF. Like the conventional method, the proposed method also considers the interference between the transmitted signal and the nadir signal, but additionally analyzes the relationship between the interference and the signal beamwidth. The simulation results show that the proposed method quantitatively and qualitatively excluded interference from the PRF and additionally dealt with the beamwidth broadening effect of an ESA radar.

  • 본 연구에서는 볼 엔드밀을 사용한 5축 가공에서 공구 간섭회피를 위한 효율적인 알고리즘과 가공 가능한 많은 자세들 중에서 공구 절삭부위와 이전자세를 고려한 공구 자세설정 알고리즘을 개발 하였다. 공구 간섭검사는 공구 밑면 간섭과 몸체 간섭으로 나누어 순차적으로 수행하고, 공구 몸채 간섭이 없는 공구 자세를 설정한다. 공구 몸체 간섭검사는 곡면의 다각형 모델과 공구 축과의 관계를 사용하여 행한다. 간섭이 발생하였을 경우 간섭회피 및 자세조정 영역으로 설정하고 유효한 공구자세의 범위를 정한 후, 이 범위 내에서 공구 절삭 부위 및 이전 자세를 고려한 효율적 공구자세를 사용하여 공구경로를 산출하였으며, 시뮬레이터를 통해 그 유효성을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 매크로기지국과 펨토기지국의 간섭을 회피하는 방법인 자원대체 간섭회피기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 펨토셀 영역의 여유로운 자원을 할당받은 후에, 이기종망 간의 발생할 수 있는 충돌을 미리 검사하고 충돌이 예상되면 충돌가능자원을 회피하고 여유로운 자원으로 대체하여 통신을 한다. 본 기법을 적용하면 하향링크 및 상향링크에서 이기종망 간의 직교주파수를 적용하면서 발생할 수 있는 지연을 최소화 할 수가 있으며, 이기종망 간에서 주파수를 분할하여 통신을 하는 SFR 기법과 비교하여, 자원의 효율성을 높일 수가 있다.

Collision Avoidance Beamforming for Mitigating Inter-cell Interference in Cooperative Wireless Communication Systems (순방향 셀 간 간섭 억제를 위한 충돌 회피 빔성형 기법)

  • In this paper, collision avoidance beamforming(CA-BF) technology is proposed to mitigate inter-cell interference in cooperative wireless communications system with limited feedback. Each acess terminal(AT) selects both the best BF weight vector for a serving base transceiver station(BTS) and the most interfering BF weight vectors of interfering BTSs within a cluster, and sends it back to a cluster scheduler. At the cluster scheduler, a set of transmit BF weights of BTSs and the corresponding scheduled ATs are jointly determined to avoid collision among beams formed by BTSs within a cluster, which enhances system throughput by mitigating inter-cell interference. It is shown that the proposed CA-BF outperforms existing non-coordinated BF schemes in terms of the average system throughput.

Performance Analysis for Malicious Interference Avoidance of Backscatter Communications Based on Game Theory (게임이론 기반 백스케터 통신의 악의적인 간섭 회피를 위한 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we study an interference avoidance scenario in the presence of a interferer which can rapidly observe the transmit power of backscatter communications and effectively interrupt backscatter signals. We consider a power control with a sub-channel allocation to avoid interference attacks and a power-splitting ratio for backscattering and RF energy harvesting in sensors. We formulate the problem based on a Stackelberg game theory and compute the optimal transmit power, power-splitting ratio, and sub-channel allocation parameter to maximize a utility function against the interferer. We propose the utility maximization using Lagrangian dual decomposition for the backscatter communications and the interferer to prove the existence of the Stackelberg equilibrium. Numerical results show that the proposed algorithms effectively maximize the utility, compared to that of the algorithm based on the Nash game, so as to overcome a malicious interference in backscatter communications.

  • In order for heterogeneous unlicensed devices to co-exist on the same frequency band, the frequency interference avoidance mechanism is necessary. In this paper, a frequency interference between WLAN and WPAN systems that operate at 2.4 GHz ISM band was analyzed in the MAC layer. We observed that WPAN systems suffer from severe interference from WLAN systems. To avoid this interference problem, we propose a new channel shift algorithm for WPAN systems. We showed that the proposed channel shift algorithm is better than the traditional WPAN system which uses a fixed channel in terms of throughput.

A Detection Algorithm Study of the Victim Signal for the DAA Regulation in MB-OFDM UWB System (MB-OFDM UWB 시스템에서 DAA 기술 기준 적용을 위한 피 간섭 신호 검출 방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to propose a detection algorithm and a tracking algorithm based on silent time using MB-OFDM UWB(Multi-Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Ultra Wide Band) receiver in order to satisfy DAA(Detect And Avoid) regulation of Korea to permit UWB in 3.1~4.8 GHz. In DAA regulation of Korea, if UWB device receives a signal more than -80 dBm/MHz from the victim system during UWB operation, the UWB system should avoid the collision within 2 sec. In this paper, we proposed the detection algorithm to detect the victim signal received by -80 dBm/MHz for the avoidance process that changes the operating UWB frequency to other UWB frequency and the subcarrier tracking algorithm to follow up the subcarrier positions of the victim signal for the tonenulling avoidance process that decreases the TX power of subcarriers occupied by the victim signal by -70 dBm/MHz. The performance of the detection algorithm and the tracking algorithm suggested in this paper is verified in simulation results considering various conditions.
