레이저 간섭계와 X-선 간섭계의 원리 및 응용

  • 이 글에서는 길이의 정밀 측정에 널리 사용되고 있는 여러 종류의 레이저 간섭계에 대하여 그 작동 원리 및 응용 예를 간략하게 살펴보았다. 아울러, 나노 영역에서의 길이 및 각도를 높은 정확도로 측정할 수 있는 X-선 간섭계의 원리 및 응용에 대하여도 간략히 기술하였는데, 이러한 X-선 간섭계를 이용한 정밀 측정기술은 앞으로도 개발의 여지가 많은 새로운 분야이며, 따라서 그 응용 범위도 점차 널리 확대되리라 예상된다.

  • 최근 무선LAN의 폭발적인 수요 및 공급 증가에 따라 무선LAN의 간섭현상이 큰 문제로 대두되고 있으며, 이에 따라 무선LAN의 간섭현상을 줄이기 위해 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본고에서는 무선LAN의 간섭현상을 줄이기 위한 최근의 연구동향을 분석하고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 무선LAN 간섭현상이 네트워크 성능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 평가한다.

Analysis of Parallel Interference Cancellation with the Improved Initial Stage (초기단을 개선시킨 병렬형 간섭 제거기에 관한 분석)

  • In this paper, we introduce a modified interference cancellation scheme to overcome MAI(Multiple Access Interference) in DS-CDMA. Among ICs(Interference Cancellers), PIC(Parallel Interference Canceller) requires the more stages to have the better BER(Bit Error Rate), and SIC(Successive Interference Canceller) faces the problems of power reordering and large delays. To resolve the problems of them, we propose a modified interference cancellation scheme combining SIC and PIC. The proposed interference canceller has improved the performance through the total received signal applied sorting method is fed into the initial stage. Its structure extracts the good characteristics because of the input signal removed MAI in the initial stage. The characteristics of the proposed system are as follows (1) smaller delay, and the strongest user signal is also reduced to MAI(unlike SIC), (2) it has the good BER performance only using fewer stages (unlike PIC).

Study on Talbot Pattern for Grating Interferometer (격자간섭계를 위한 탈봇 패턴 연구)

  • One of properties which X-ray and Neutron can be applied nondestructive test is penetration into the object with interaction leads to decrease in intensity. X-ray interaction with the matter caused by electrons, Neutron caused by atoms. They share applications in nondestructive test area because of their similarities of interaction mechanism. Grating interferometer is the one of applications produces phase contrast image and dark field image. It is defined by Talbot interferometer and Talbot-Lau interferometer according to Talbot effect and Talbot-Lau effect respectively. Talbot interferometer works with coherence beam like X-ray, and Talbot-Lau has an effect with incoherence beam like Neutron. It is important to expect the interference in grating interferometer compared normal nondestructive system. In this paper, simulation works are conducted according to Talbot and Talbot-Lau interferometer in case of X-ray and Neutron. Variation of interference intensity with X-ray and Neutron based on wave theory is constructed and calculate elements consist the system. Additionally, Talbot and Talbot-Lau interferometer is simulated in different kinds of conditions.

Absolute phase identification algorithm in a white light interferometer using a cross-correlation of fringe scans (백색광 간섭기에서 간섭 무늬의 상호 상관관계 함수를 이용한 절대 위상 측정 알고리즘)

  • A new signal processing algorithm for white light interferometry has been proposed and investigated theoretically. The goal of the algorithm is to determine the absolute optical path length of an interferometer with very high precision (<< one optical wavelength). The algorithm features cross-correlation of interferometer fringe scans and hypothesis testing. The hypothesis test looks for a zero order fringe peak candidate about which the cross-correlation is symmetric minimizing the uncertainty of misidentification. The shot noise limited performance of the proposed signal processing algorithm has been analyzed using computer simulations. Simulation results were extrapolated to predict the misidentification rate at Signal to-Shot noise ratio (SNR) higher than 31 dB. Root-mean-square phase error between the computer-generated zero order fringe peak and the estimated zero order fringe peak has been calculated for the changes of three different parameters (SNR, fringe scan sampling rate, coherence length of light source). Results of computer simulations showed the ability of the proposed signal processing algorithm to identify the zero order fringe peak correctly. The proposed signal processing algorithm uses a software approach, which is potentially inexpensive, simple and fast.

  • In this paper, we introduce a modified interference cancellation scheme to overcome MAI in DS-CDMA. Among ICs(Interference Cancellers), PIC(Parallel IC) requires the more complexity, and SIC(Successive IC) faces the problems of the long delay time. Most of all, the adaptive detector achieves the good BER performance using the adaptive filter conducted iteration algorithm. so it requires many iterations. To resolve the problems of them, we propose an improved adaptive detector that the received signal removed MAI through the sorting scheme and the cancellation method are fed into the adaptive filter. Because the improved input signal is fed into the adaptive filter, it has the same BER performance only using smaller iterations than the conventional adaptive detector, and the proposed detector having adaptive filter requires less complexity than the other detectors.

  • In this paper, we analyze the adjacent interference between WCDMA and M-WiMAX systems in the 2.6GHz Band under the SISO (Single Input Single Output) configuration. The interference scenarios are characterized into 8 scenarios with different victim and interfering links. Among the 8 scenarios, we find that the most performance loss is observed in the scenarios of victim uplink suffering interference from downlink in both systems. Besides, guard band is applied to mitigate the adjacent interference in all the scenarios. Especially, we reveal that M-WiMAX system is much more sensitive to adjacent interference than WCDMA system due to the lower transmission power. In this paper, we consider the worst interference environment, where interferers always transmit with the maximum power, a loose spectrum mask is adapted, and no additional channel fitters are equipped in both systems.

Thermal Interference Modeling in the Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage Systems (대수층 축열 시스템의 열 간섭 모델링)

  • 대수층 축열 시스템(ATES)의 효율은 지중에 저장된 열 사이의 간섭에 의해 결정이 되며, 열 간섭에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 시추공 간 이격거리, 대수층의 수리 전도도, 주입/양수량 등이 있다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 지하수-지열 거동 모델링을 통하여 열 간섭이 일어나는 현상과 열 간섭이 시스템 효율에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 모델링 결과로부터 이격거리는 작을수록 그리고 대수층의 수리전도도와 주입/양수량은 클수록 열 간섭이 잘 일어나는 것을 확인하였고, 열 간섭 계수가 1일 때는 시스템 효율이 상대적으로 크게 낮아지고, 열 간섭 계수가 1 미만일 때는 변화가 미미한 것을 확인하였다. ATES 를 이용한 냉난방 시스템을 시공 하고 있는 안성 연구지역에 대한 장기 예측 모델링을 수행 하였다. 모델링 결과 이격거리가 80 m 이고, 주입/양수량이 100 $m^3/day$ 일 때, 시스템 가동 7년경과 뒤 여름철과 겨울철에 계산된 시스템 효율은 각각 36 RT 와 31 RT 로 나타났다. 따라서 주입/양수량을 100 $m^3/day$로 했을 때, 냉난방 대상건물의 필요 부하인 20 RT 를 충분히 충족할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • In this paper, we propose an interference cancellation(IC) scheme using a partial Rake(PRAKE) combining in ultra-wideband(UWB) multipath fading channels. In this IC scheme, differently from the conventional transmitter model, which employs a guard interval between each frame, the guard interval is employed between each slot for estimating the multiple access interference(MAI). The UWB systems using the proposed IC scheme have little performance degradation without regard to the number of user, while the conventional UWB systems have a significant performance degradation according to the number of user. In order to reduce the receiver complexity, the PRAKE combining of post-canceled signal and the partial user IC scheme are also proposed.

  • In this paper, compatibility between different radio services or systems is analyzed when they are in adjacent band or co-channel. The first step of the compatibility analysis is establishing an interference scenario. And an interference pobability from an interfering transmitter to a victim receiver is calculated by means of Monte-Carlo simulation techniques. Then the calculated result is compared with the predefined interference criteria, maximum permissible interference probability and we can determine compatibility in accordance with the active interferer density, channel bandwidth, cell radius, distance between interfering transmitter and victim receiver, and duty cycle. It is assumed that Propagation modes are the free space model and extened Hata model.
