An Application of PCSI Antecedent Model to Development of Library Organizational Performance Evaluation Method (PCSI 선행요인 모형에 기반한 도서관 조직성과 평가 방법론 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a measurement scheme that assesses organizational performances in library department unit level by applying PCSI model, a Public-service Customer Satisfaction Index. Specifically, this study adopted the Antecedent Model, a component of the PCSI's three-part model, that consists of a total of 12 service quality indices. The study selected a large-scale library as a case to analyze and design a method. We analyzed the library's organizational missions and goals set by each of its six departments, and then mapped them with each of the 12 service quality indices. This mapping was further developed as a work analysis scheme of the library and as a measurement tool. A total of 341 library users participated in a survey that was designed to assess 12 service quality indices. As a result service quality was measured for each index, which in turn, calculated the library's service performance index for both entire and individual units of the library. The results reveled the measurement tool useful in assessing service performances for both individual unit and the entire library.

Mobile Robot Localization and Mapping using Scale-Invariant Features (스케일 불변 특징을 이용한 이동 로봇의 위치 추정 및 매핑)

  • A key component of an autonomous mobile robot is to localize itself accurately and build a map of the environment simultaneously. In this paper, we propose a vision-based mobile robot localization and mapping algorithm using scale-invariant features. A camera with fisheye lens facing toward to ceiling is attached to the robot to acquire high-level features with scale invariance. These features are used in map building and localization process. As pre-processing, input images from fisheye lens are calibrated to remove radial distortion then labeling and convex hull techniques are used to segment ceiling region from wall region. At initial map building process, features are calculated for segmented regions and stored in map database. Features are continuously calculated from sequential input images and matched against existing map until map building process is finished. If features are not matched, they are added to the existing map. Localization is done simultaneously with feature matching at map building process. Localization. is performed when features are matched with existing map and map building database is updated at same time. The proposed method can perform a map building in 2 minutes on $50m^2$ area. The positioning accuracy is ${\pm}13cm$, the average error on robot angle with the positioning is ${\pm}3$ degree.

  • As a demand of IP based packet service is increasing, transport network is evolving from circuit based transport technology using TDM to Ethernet based packet transport technology. In this paper we introduce packet transport network based on PBB-TE and MPLS-TP and propose a quality of service(QoS) management scheme to satisfy various user requirements in packet transport network. The proposed flow-based QoS management scheme guarantees that per-flow bandwidth control satisfies the predefined QoS requirement perfectly under bandwidth congestion condition by using perflow and per-PTL tunnel management. In order to evaluate the proposed scheme we defined flow and PTL tunnel per input frame and configured QoS parameters for each flow and PTL tunnel respectively. Simulation was done by using OPNET modeler 16.0 version.

m-shaper: A Sketch Drawing System for Musical Shape Generation (m-shaper: 음악적 형태 생성을 위한 스케치 드로잉 시스템)

  • This paper proposes a sketch drawing system called m-shaper for musical shape generation. Through simple sketch drawing, users can generate musical shape configuration which can be played by a computer. One key ingredient of the process is a unique concept for the interactive musical shape generation that combines shape and sound based on the designers' manual inputs. m-shaper captures the numerical values of drawing characteristics and determines how the musical notes and shapes can be generated. Using a tablet, four sketch movements are captured such as pressure, tilt, rotation and speed. Each point of a shape corresponds to a certain musical note that represents a type of instrument, duration, pitch, and octave. The current m-shaper has been developed as a computational tool for supporting the schematic design process. Designers in m-shaper draw geometric sketches with a musical inspiration and explore possible conceptual forms. They also can control the parameters for results and transform their sketch drawing.

  • Recently commercial mixed-reality devices have be launched and a variety of mixed-reality content has produced, but narrow field of view, which appear to be hardware technical limitations, are mentioned as an important issue for hindering immersion and limiting the scope of use. We propose a new innovative system that cooperate multiple beam projectors and a number of mixed reality devices. Using this technology, users can maximize immersion and minimize frustration of narrow viewing angles through 3D object rendering on background of large 2D screens. This system, named BtS (Beyond the Sight), is implemented on a client-server basis and includes the ability to calibrate between devices, share spatial coordinate systems, and synchronize real-time renderings as core modules. In this paper, each configuration module is described in detail and the possibility of its performance and application is shown through the introduction of mixed reality content case created using BtS system.

  • 자동차/선박/정보통신기기 등의 각종 제조 산업 분야에서 신제품 개발기간과 비용단축을 위해 제품의 설계/스타일링 단계에서 디자인 및 사용자 사용성/편이성 등에 대해 가상으로 품평하는 기술에 대한 관심이 날로 증가하고 있다. 이상적인 가상 품평 기술은 사용자가 실물에 대한 품평 상황과 동일한 체험을 얻을 수 있도록 해야 한다. 이를 위해서 품평 대상물을 사실적으로 표현할 수 있도록 하는 실사 수준의 고품질 가시화 기술과 사용자가 품평 대상물을 자연스럽게 조작할 수 있는 상호작용 기술이 필요하다. 본 연구는 자동차의 내 외관 디자인 품평을 위한 가상 디자인 품평 시스템의 개발에 관한 것으로, 사실적인 자동차 가시화를 위한 환경 반사, 빛 산란, 범프 매핑등의 고품질 쉐이더 구현 및 저작 기술, 몰입환경에서 품평 작업을 위한 3D GUI 지원, 자동차 각 부품의 사용성/편이성 평가를 위한 운동성 조작 기능, 멀티프로젝션 디스플레이 시스템 및 3 차원 인간 모델, 장갑형 입력장치 지원을 통한 몰입형 가상 품평 환경 구축에 관한 기술 및 구현 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • However XML languages can logically define the type of structure with their's own grammar, it is inadequate to use them as a tool for conceptual model that represents the semantics of data and the relationships between the data in the real world. In this paper, we propose conceptual modeling techniques, called CMXML, for modeling the XML schema at the conceptual level. For this purpose, we define the model formally, and provide a way to represent the model in a graphical and text form. We also propose an mapping methodology providing transformation from CMXML to XML schema to show the feasibility of the proposed model.

  • This paper discusses revenue model of digital TV broadcast service(D-TV) and presents the basic framework for integrated strategy of applications. Also this paper presents the cases of D-TV in the frame of integrated model. The broadcasting operators should focus on interactive advertising and revenue generation utilizing customer participation. Also, they should utilize the strengths as a platform operator. The contents provider should be concerned about the retail revenue rather than commission revenue. The middle ware provider should develop new interactive D-TV service rather than system use fee or consulting fee.

  • Under the knowledge-based economy in 21C, the convergence and complexity in science and technology are being more active. Therefore, we have science and technology are classified properly, make not easy to construct the system to new next generation area. Thus we suggest the systematic solution method to flexibly extend classification scheme in order for content management and service organizations. In this way, we expect that the difficult of classification scheme management is minimized and the expense of it is spared.

  • NEMO 기본 지원 (NEMO-BS, NEMO Basic Support) 프로토콜에서 MNN(Mobile Network Node)가 CN(Correspondent Node) 과 통신을 하기 위해서는 항상 MR(Mobile Router)과 HA(Home Agent) 사이의 양방향 터널을 이용해야 한다. 그러나 NEMO-BS 방식은 노드 간 데이터 전송 지연과 부분 구간에 대한 공격 가능성이 존재한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 NEMO를 위한 인증된 경로 최적화(ATRO) 프로토콜을 제안한다. MR은 홈 링크로부터 멀어졌다고 판단되면 MNN으로부터 위임 권한을 얻기 위해 권한 위임 프로토콜을 수행한다. 그런 후에 MR과 CN은 공개키 암호 방식을 이용하여 자신의 의탁주소(CoA, Care-of Address)를 MNN의 홈 주소(HoA, Home-of Address)와 매핑하기 위한 등록 과정을 수행한다. 이때 각 노드의 주소 소유권 증명을 위해 암호학적으로 생성한 주소(CGA, Cryptographically Generated Address)를 이용한다. 성능분석에서는 구간별 안전성과 종단간 패킷 전송 지연 시간을 통해 프로토콜을 분석한다.
