Since 2001, we have taught computer in elementary school to become the advanced country of IT in the 21C. However, people criticized that ICT education which is consisted mainly of the computer skills is not appropriate for information literacy education. In 2005, "ICT Education Guide Rev." is published. Thereafter, information literacy education has systematic frame. The experts emphasize the importance of performance assessment. Computer education can become the problem solving education if the performance assessment carried out. However, it is not successful without the good rubrics for performance assessment In this paper, we developed the rubrics for performance assessment for "presentation document writing".

The intent of this study was to examine what elementary school teachers thought about the adaptation to the information age in education in a bid to seek ways to have the computer equipments utilized enough to justify the efforts and the cost of installation. This study was conducted to provide answers for the following questions: First, what do the elementary school teachers perceive the Education information system? Second, what is their opinion on the ways to elevate teacher competencies for dealing with the information system? Third, what is their awareness of the information ethics?

우리의 식생활 및 주거 환경이 향상됨에 따라 과거에 비해 학생들의 체격이 커지고 체형 또한 점차 서구화 되가는 경향을 보이고 있으나 아직까지도 초${\cdot}$중${\cdot}$고등학교에서는 학생 자신의 체격에 적합하게 조절하여 사용할 수 없는 고정형 의자를 사용하고 있다. 이에 따라 학생들의 신체발육에 지장을 초래 할 수 있으며 특히 요통과 같은 허리에 문제를 일으킬 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 학생 자신의 체격에 맞게 높낮이를 자유롭게 조절하여 사용할 수 있는 학생용 의자를 개발하였다. 개발된 조절형 의자는 일반적으로 사용하는 학생용 의자의 다리부분에 풀림과 조임이 가능한 금속제 나사형식의 높이조절봉을 도입하여 공구가 필요 없이 손으로 회전시켜 좌판의 높이를 자유롭게 조절하여 사용할 수 있게 설계하였다. 또한 의자 등받이는 전${\cdot}$후${\cdot}$상${\cdot}$하방향으로 이동되게 함으로써 착석 시 좌판의 깊이와 등받이의 높낮이를 동시에 한번의 동작으로 조절 가능하게 하였다. 한편 개발된 조절형 의자는 현재 우리나라에서 채택하여 사용하고 있는 ISO 5970(Standards for tables and chairs for educational institutions)과 비교하여 수용능력에 따른 적합성 여부를 평가하였으며 피실험자 40명을 대상으로 fitting trials를 실시하였다. 평가결과 개발된 조절형 의자는 두가지 평가 기준에 적합하였으며 실용화 가능성을 발견하였다. 향후 이를 각급 학교 및 학원에 보급 활용함으로써 학생들의 이상체형 형성을 억제하여 신체 발육과 안전을 도모할 수 있으며 학습효과 또한 높일 수 있다고 판단된다.

한국정보통신진흥협회가 주관하고 한국교육정보방송학회, 한국공학교육학회, 한국정보과학회, 한국정보교육학회, 한국컴퓨터교육학회 등 5개 교육정보화 관련학회가 주최하는 "스쿨넷2000 학술세미나 및 전시회"가 지난 8월 4일부터 이틀간 부산대학교에서 열렸다. '스쿨넷'은 초 중등 학교에서 인터넷을 교육에 활용하기 위해 국내(SchoolNet)또는 국외(ICCE)교육정보화 관련 교사와 학생, 전문가, 기업 관련 공공기관에서 정보통신 기술과 교육의 접목을 시도하는 사람들이 모여 상호간의 경험과 기술을 공유할 수 있는 학술 행사이다. 이번 행사에 참석한 많은 관계자들은 "각급 교육기관이 필요로하는 인터넷기반의 학습기법과 교수방법 소개는 물론 국외 전문가들로부터 선진경험 및 노하우를 얻을 수 있었다"라고 참가평을 밝혔다. 이번 학술세미나에서 발표된 논문들 중 정보통신부 정보화기획실 변재일 실장이 발표한 '인터넷 시대에 대응하는 정보화 정책 방향'논문을 요약해서 싣는다.

현재 각급 학교의 하드웨어적인 인프라는 이미 충분히 구축되어 있으나, 이를 효율적으로 관리하고 활용할 소프트웨어적인 인프라 구축은 거의 이루어지고 있지 않다. 통신속도의 증속에 따른 장비 교체, 각 교실의 저속 사양의 컴퓨터를 최신 컴퓨터로 교체, 영상장치 교체 등의 하드웨어 장치가 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 그와 더불어 교육정보부에서는 이들 하드웨어 교체 및 유지 보수 등의 관리에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이와 같은 어려움은 매년 똑같이 반복되고 있으며, 교육정보부장의 잦은 교체에 따라 업무 인수인계도 원활히 이루어지고 있지 않다. 이에 본 논문에서는 교육정보부의 여러 자원들을 효율적으로 관리 할 수 있도록 교내에 인트라넷(Intranet)을 설계하고 구축하여 활용하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

최근 각급 학교에서 전자교과서의 도입이 확대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 1인 1타블렛 노트북 환경하에서 수학과 전자교과서 활용 수업이 학업성취도와 흥미도에 미치는 효과를 검증하였다. 검증 결과에 따르면 실험에 사용된 단원의 수학과 전자교과서 활용은 학업성취도 증진에 영향을 준다고 단정할 수는 없었으며, 수학과 흥미도 향상에도 지속적인 영향을 준다고 단정할 수 없었다. 전자교과서를 활용한 실험 반에서는 초기 흥미도의 변화가 나타났지만 그 변화는 일시적인 것으로 오래 지속되지 않았다. 따라서 수학과 영역별로 학업성취도 및 흥미도의 결과가 다르게 나타날 수 있으므로 어떤 영역이 전자교과서 내용으로 적합한지에 관한 연구가 필요하며, 전자교과서에 대한 학생의 흥미도를 지속시킬 수 있는 방안의 연구도 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있다.

최근 컴퓨터, 인터넷, 그리고 다양한 멀티미디어 자료를 이용한 정보통신기술(ICT) 활용 교육에 대한 사회적 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이로 인하여 각급 학교에서는 컴퓨터, 학내망 장비, 교육용 소프트웨어 등의 교육 정보 인프라에 대한 관리 및 관련 업무를 교육 정보부에 전담시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 정보화 기자재 및 소프트웨어 관리뿐만 아니라 학내망 관련 업무 효율을 높이기 위한 교육 정보 인프라 통합 관리시스템을 설계한다. 제안된 시스템은 웹을 기반으로 교육 정보부에서 관리하는 모든 관리 대장의 자료를 포함한다. 특히 제안된 시스템은 교육 정보부의 개별적인 관리대장 자료의 연관성을 분석하여 학내망 구조 기반으로 운용된다. 이를 위하여 학내망 장비를 위한 새로운 데이터베이스 레코드 형를 제안하고 이를 이용하는 학내망 구조 구성 알고리즘을 제안한다. 따라서 본 시스템은 사용자의 관리 대장 자료에 대한 접근을 학내망 구조 기반으로 수행할 수 있도록 함으로써 교육 정보부 업무에 대한 거부감과 업무 효율을 향상 시킬 것으로 기대된다.

It is very important to study the history of text books for the present and the future study of text books. In this paper, we study the history of compilation of arithmetic text books on Gwangmu-Yunghee periods in Korea. Also we investigate some arithmetic text books on those periods and introduce some contents and some problems and solutions in those books.

Curriculum may be defined as everything students learn at school or the specific plan of a subject that students are supposed to learn. The purpose and goals of the curriculum or who is in charge of developing the curriculum may differ by country. This study aimed at comparing the mechanisms in which the Home Economics curriculum is implemented in Korea and the Unite States at different levels. Considering that Korean government now supports increased autonomy of schools, allowing them to execute curricula according to their educational environments, it is meaningful that the advantages and disadvantages of the implementation mechanisms of two countries are explored. Specifically, middle schools in a City of Kyung-gi Province in South Korea and three states(Wisconsin, Ohio, and Washington states) in the United States are examined. The curriculum documents at different levels as well as study plans used by actual teachers are compared for this purpose. In case of South Korea, the nation state is in charge of curriculum development and the curriculum document defines the educational contents to detail in order to provide standardized learning experience to students. This type of closely controlled system warrants standardized educational contents and thus allows nation-wide assessment using standardized measures. On the other hand, it is difficult to accommodate diversities among students in terms of aptitudes and learning styles, and also limits creativity enhancement or integrative approach to teaching and learning. In comparison, curriculum in the United States is rather loosely defined, and more autonomy is granted to schools and teachers. Each of these two different systems may have advantages and disadvantages of their own. The findings of this study is expected to provide implications to curriculum development as well as to the development of framework and guidelines to the curriculum implementation.

The years from 1895 to 1915 marked an important period in Korean because it was the start of modern education during which a new school system was developed. In particular, the Government made laws and rules concerning the use of textbooks in schools. In this research information about books in use in schools was obtained from the {School Textbook List} which was drawn up during this period. Science textbooks printed in Korea from 1895 to 1915 were control1ed in their use by the Ministry of Education and the Government General of Chosen. They used the Private School Ordinance, Regulations for Official Examination of Textbooks in 1908, and Law of Publication in 1909 as the main means of controlling textbooks. The official examination of textbooks under the Japanese rule of Korea resulted in an increasing number of science textbooks being banned. While science textbooks had enjoyed more freedom from control by the Government General of Chosen than other textbooks, the situation changed significantly as Japan to intensify the control of all kinds of textbooks in Korea.
