This study examines the association between family policies and family gap using data for 14 OECD countries. As family policies have different assumptions about women's roles and include variant sub-policies, this study identify two distinct family policies: 'employment support policy' to support women as employed workers and 'caregiving support policy' to support women as caregivers. Meanwhile, women's wage cannot be determined by the effect of 'only' family policy. Therefore, analysis model includes variant macro structure supposed to affect women's labor status and wage, like labor market structure, wage structure(compression), women's social status and economic status, and examines interaction effects between family policies and these labor market and social structures using Fuzzy-Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (FSQCA). The FSQCA result shows that relatively low family gap is associated with the conjunctual causation of developed 'employment support policy' and compressed wage structure.

This study investigated general problems concerning the social welfare field in the KDC 6th edition based comparative analysis academic characteristics and classification system, and suggested on some ideas for the improvements of them. Results of the study are summarized as follows. First, a main field of the social welfare is generally divided into a general social welfare, social works, and social welfare services to special classes and groups including people with disabilities, young people, aged, women, and families. Second, I analyzed on social welfare from the collection database at the National Library of Korea. Based on analysis of the data. the keyword frequency of social welfare policy and management, pensions, care services, and support works for the underprivileged was relatively high. Third, modified classification of items was basically performed through the academic characteristics of the social welfare and the keyword analysis, and maintaining the existing KDC classification system caused less confusion as much as possible.

In this article, 「Act on the hospice and palliative care and decisions on life-sustaining treatment for patients at the end of life」, 「Act On The Improvement Of Mental Health And The Support For Welfare Services For Mental Patients」, 「Organs Transplant Act」, 「Safety And Management Of Human Tissue Act」, 「Pharmaceutical Affairs Act」, 「Prevention Of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome Act」, 「Tuberculosis Prevention Act」, 「Infectious Disease Control And Prevention Act」 were reviewed. Patients' right to self-determination and consent in these laws are related to civil law. even though they are closely related to the civil law in relation to patients' right to self-determination and consent. In order to consistently operate medical administration, it is necessary to understand the principles of civil law decision-making.

노인복지회관에서 어르신들을 대상으로 스마트폰 사용법 도움 봉사활동을 하면서, 어르신들의 스마트폰 사용법 질문의 수집 분석을 통하여 어떤 부분에 가장 많이 어려움을 겪고 있는지를 조사하였다. 또한 그런조사를 바탕으로 스마트폰 사용에 도움을 받을 수 있는 효과적인 방법을 고려하여 보았다. 연구 결과 어르신들은 정보의 생산, 공유, 관리에 매우 적극적인 활용 욕구를 가지고 있었으며 동영상 및 사진에 대한 관심이 무척 높고, 친구 및 가족과의 소통을 위하여 카톡을 주로 사용하고 페이스북에 대한 관심이 높아지는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 이동을 위한 교통에 대한 도움을 받고자 하는 비율이 높았다.

This study aimed to investigate the incidence of the canine ear dermatoses caused by mitts and the relativity of the causative mites of canine dermatoses to the pruritic dermatoses of the families possessing the pet dogs. Total 970 samples were collected from the lesional hairs and scales of the ear of pet dogs referred to Chung-Woon animal clinic in Seoul from January, 1990 to December, 1995. The mites were collected from the samples by means of the washing method . Presence of pruritic dermatoses in the families possessing the pet dog was evaluated. Among 2,147 mites collected from 970 samples, 2,117 specimens were Octonectes cwnotis and others were Scrcoptes conis (30 mites). O. cwnotis were found in 382 samples out of total 970 samples (39.4%) and S. cams were found in 3 samples (0.3%). Although two families out of 382 families that possessed the diseased pet dog by O. cwnotis had the family histories of pruritic dermatoses, their pruritic dermatoses were not related to the infestation by O. cwnotis. In conclusion, O. cwnotis, the most common canine mite producing pruritic ear dematoses, does not cause pruritic dermatoses in man.

Extensively used case-control designs in medical studies can also be powerful and efficient for family association studies as long as an analysis method is developed for the evaluation of association between candidate genes and disease. Traditional Cochran-Armitage trend test is devised for independent subjects data, and to apply this trend test to the biologically related siblings one has to take into account the covariance among related family members in order to maintain the correct type I error rate. We propose a more powerful trend test by introducing weights that reflect the number of affected siblings in families for the evaluation of the association of genetic markers related to the disease. An application of our method to a sample family data, in addition to a small-scale simulation, is presented to compare the weighted and unweighted trend tests.

Korea government has launched long-term care insurance from 2008. However, one of the most important issues, whether or not providing cash benefit, is still unresolved. In this paper, in order to provide policy guidelines for the long-term care insurance, I attempt to estimate the Willingness-To-Accept (WTA) of the cash subsidy for informal care by using Double Bounded Dichotomous Choice method, a branch of Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). In doing so, I also estimated the determinants of the preference for cash benefit. Data were obtained from face-to-face survey interviews with 300 informal care-givers at three major general hospitals in Seoul, Korea. The questionnaire was constructed with two scenarios (mild/severe symptom). The results from logistic regression analyses and the estimation of WTA indicate that informal care-givers are willing to accept the cash benefit as low as 628 thousands won for mild fragile elderly and 1,072 thousands won for severe fragile elderly. The strength of this paper is that I estimated the WTA of the cash benefit by reflecting the changes in preferences of informal care-givers. The analytic results from the this paper suggest that the cash benefit in long-term care insurance is indispensible in achieving the goal of the long-term care system.

2004년 3개 센터에서 시범사업을 시작한 이후 4월말 현재 23개 센터가 설치· 운영중에 있다. 건강가정지원법 도입단계에서부터 말도많고 탈도 많았던 건강가정지원센터 운영이 활성화를 앞두고 건강가정지원센터와 기존 유사 가족복지전달체계와의 중복성 유무와 차별화된 역할의 필요성에 대해 짚어보자.

This is a study of divorce cases under new family law in Korea specifically during the period of May 1991 to November 1995. This study comprises 33 cases that appeared on two daily newspapers, Chosun-ilbo and Kookmin-ilbo during that period. This study contains the analysis on the rights of Korean women at the time of divorce.
