수소 제조용 치밀질 세라믹 멤브레인 제조기술 개발

  • 수소 분리막의 적용 분야는 석탄가스, 천연가스, 메탄가스 혼합기체이며, 고온/고압 및 수소농도가 낮은 혼합기체에서 고순도의 수소를 제조하는 곳이다. 특히 치밀질 세라믹 멤브레인은 고온에서 가스화한 석탄가스나 차세대의 쓰레기 처리 기술인 가스화 용융처리에서 생긴 고온가스로부터 고순도의 수소를 분리할 수 있다. 분리한 수소는 고온을 유지하기 때문에 연료전지 발전에 최적이다. 종래의 연료전지는 발전을 위해서 수소의 가열이 필요했으나 이것이 불필요하게 되어 발전 전체의 효율이 향상된다. 석유화학 산업에서 발생하는 혼합기체에서 수소를 분리하여 사용하고 남은 기체는 연료로 재사용할 수 있다. 분리막의 재질로는 고분자계가 개발되고 있으며 고분자 지지체에 백금이나 로듐과 같은 촉매를 코팅하는 방법이다. 이는 기공의 제어가 용이하고 대량생산이 가능한 장점이 있지만 고온에서 사용이 불가능하고 입자상 물질에 의해 분리막의 손상이 문제가 되고 있다. 이에 비해 치밀질 세라믹 멤브레인은 세라믹의 특성에 의해 고온 및 고압에서도 적용이 가능하며, 실온이나 저압의 조건에서도 적용이 가능한 특징을 가진다. $900^{\circ}C$의 고온에서 적용시 세라믹 멤브레인에는 특성열화가 없어 수명이 긴 장점을 가지게 된다. 수소가 포함되어 있는 기체에서 수소 만을 분리하는 방법은 흡착이나 분리막을 이용하는 방법이 일반적이며 흡착에 의한 방법은 일부 실용화가 진행되고 있다. 고효율의 수소를 분리하는 방법으로 분리막을 이용하는 방법이 있다. 현재 치밀질 수소 분리막의 연구는 외국(미국, 일본 등)에서도 초기 연구 단계이다. 국내에서도 이런 연구가 선행되어 외국과의 기술 격차를 줄이고 에너지 자원에 대한 확보가 필요하기 때문에 이 연구가 수행되었다. 치밀질 멤브레인의 소재로는 proton 및 전자전도가 가능한 소재로서 Ba-Ce-Y계를 기본조성으로 하여 내구성과 전기전도도를 향상시키기 위해 Ca, La, In, Yb를 치환하였다. 제조한 재료의 물리화학적 특성을 평가하였고, 수소여과 장치를 이용하여 여과 효율을 평가하였다.

Study of Temperature Uniformity Improvement of Inductive Heating in MOCVD Systems to Deposit White LED (백색 LED 증착용 MOCVD 장치에서 유도가열을 이용한 기판의 온도 균일도 향상에 관한 연구)

  • Deposition temperature uniformity of GaN based MQW (multiple quantum well) layers is an important key which affects the wavelength uniformity of white LEDs. Temperature uniformity was assessed by infrared images for both cases of a static and a rotating susceptor. Rotating the susceptor at 2.5 rpm over the induction heater gave 4.3% of temperature non-uniformity. Temperature distribution of the graphite susceptor over the induction heater was numerically modelled and agreed with experimental results.

  • This study proposed the new pressing method under heat for the plastic automotive interior part in order to make embossing on the skin of the raw material of the part. The raw material is laid on the lower mold and it is pressed by the upper one with embossing shape. The air is suctioned from the inside of both molds for producing tension and making embossing shapes on the skin of the part without its breakage. The corresponding molds and test machines are made and the proposed manufacturing process is validated.

  • The Neutral Beam Injection(NBI) generates ultra-high temperature energy in the tokamak of nuclear fusion. The NBI consists of filament power supply acceleration and deceleration power supply and arc power supply(APS). The APS has characteristics of low voltage and high current. APS generate arc through constant output of voltage and current. So this paper proposed suitable buck converter for low voltage and high current. The case of proposed buck converter used parallel switch because it can increase capacity and decrease conduction loss. When an arc is generated, the NBI chamber occur high voltage. And it will break output capacitor of buck converter. Therefore the output capacitor was removed in the proposed converter. Thus buck converter with constant output is the most important design of the output inductor. In this paper, designed APS verified operation of system and stability through simulation and prototype.

  • We are developing a vol-oxidizer which transforms the spent $UO_2$ pellets into the $U_3O_8$ power through oxidizing process. The vol-oxidizer consists of furnace, filter, heater and valve etc. When the filter is blocked by the powder, the internal pressure of the furnace is increased owing to the air flow restriction. Then, the furnace vessel is swelled and deformed by it. In this paper, we proposed a procedure of the thermal analysis for furnace vessel design of spent fuel vol-oxidizer. In this work, we determined the thickness of the furnace through analyzing the internal pressure and the thermal stress of the furnace with respect to various pressure and temperature. To analyze the thermal stress, we used ANSYS 8.0 for constructing a FEM model of the furnace, and then analyzed it based on the ASME code. We also surveyed the material property and yield stress of SUS304 with various temperature. Analysis results are compared with the yield stress of the material. We manufactured the furnace and conduct the verification experiments.

  • A lab-sized distillation experiment was conducted using small-size packings and a horizontal distillation column. The 6.7 mm Raschig ring type packings of stainless steel and a 40 mm glass column were used, and five independent electric heaters were installed in the axial direction to adjust the column inside temperature separately. The temperature was continuously distributed along the column length to provide equivalent equilibrium to the temperature for the separation. From the experimental results, a larger HETP of the column than the vertical distillation column was obtained, but it was found that the practical separation with proper processing capacity and separation efficiency was available.

  • The base pressure of vacuum vessel of the KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) Tokamak is to be a ultra high vacuum, $10^{-6}{\sim}10^{-7}Pa$, to produce clean plasma with low impurity containments. For this purpose, the KSTAR vacuum vessel and plasma facing components need to be baked up to at least $250^{\circ}C,\;350^{\circ}C$ respectively, within 24 hours by hot nitrogen gas from a separate baking/cooling line system to remove impurities from the plasma-material interaction surfaces before plasma operation. Here by applying the implicit numerical method to the heat balance equations of the system, overall temperature distributions of the KSTAR vacuum vessel and plasma facing components are obtained during the whole baking process. The model for 2-dimensional baking analysis are segmented into 9 imaginary sectors corresponding to each plasma facing component and has up-down symmetry. Under the resulting combined loads including dead weight, baking gas pressure, vacuum pressure and thermal loads, thermal stresses in the vacuum vessel during bakeout are calculated by using the ANSYS code. It is found that the vacuum vessel and its supports are structurally rigid based on the thermal stress analyses.

Domestic Development of Vibrational Film Forming Machine and Die in the High Speed Production(II) - Multi-production forming machine - (고속 생산형 필름 진동판 성형기 및 금형 국산화 개발(II) - 다량 생산 진동판 성형기 -)

  • This study consists of two parts. The first discusses the development of a single production forming machine which was reported in earlier papers. The second outlines the development of a multi-production forming machine, which consists primarily of a film feeding unit, an unwinding unit, and a heating block unit. The heating block unit of the multi-production forming machine has 30 members per die. An analysis of the stress deformation and temperature deviation of this machine is carried out using ANSYS Workbench and CFX-11 under the design conditions. According to this analysis, the maximum deflection in the Z-direction is $0.05104{\mu}m$ and the maximum temperature deviation is $0.7^{\circ}C$ when the temperature of the heating block unit is $175^{\circ}C$. It was also found that these values are structurally safe. The advantage of the developed multi-production forming machine is demonstrated to be in its offering of a proper voice test.

  • In this paper, It is indicating that an issues of the conventional boost converter for high frequency induction heating. To improve those issues, it is proposed, simulated and analyzed that the current resonant circuit, simulated. As the result, we knew that the proposed circuit has a good point to improve the waveform of input current and to make high efficiency. On the other side, in the inverter for the high current power supply, it is proposed that the high frequency inverter of the half bridge topology, be done the circuit analysis to extract the optimal circuit parameter. It is making sure of the soft switching operating by the inductor to reverse parallel connected on the inverter main switch, decreasing the surge voltage when the switch is turn-off by compulsion, and repressing the switch current and bringing the high current amplitude operation by the multi resonance.

핵 융합로 구축재질용 Stainless Steel 304의 수소 누설거동 실험

  • 핵 융합로는 고밀도, 고에너지 플라즈마에 지속적으로 노출되며 고열부하 및 중성자, 플라즈마 이온에 의한 물성변화에 대한 다양한 핵 융합로 구축 재질의 실험데이터가 요구된다. 특히 핵 융합 반응의 핵심연료인 삼중수소의 재질별 누설거동 특성은 삼중수소의 블랑켓에서의 증식율, 열 교환기 및 공급과 회수과정에서의 손실율, 저장, 취급 및 차폐 등의 계산에 활용되므로 핵 융합로의 안전성과 경제성 확보 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 따라서 핵 융합로 구축 재질 선정시 삼중수소의 누설거동 특성은 반드시 고려되어야 한다. 본 연구는 삼중수소 누설거동 특성 해석을 위한 기초실험으로, 수소동위원소를 사용하는 누설거동실험 장치를 설계 제작하여 누설 거동실험을 수행하였다. 누설 가스로는 수소를 사용하였고, 시편은 스테인레스 스틸(SUS-304)을 사용하였으며, 시편의 가열온도는 500, 600, 700, $800^{\circ}C$에서 각각 수소누설거동 실험을 실시하였다. 수소에 대한 SUS-304 재질의 permeability, diffusivity, solubility에 대한 실험 결과를 발표하고자 한다.
