Effect of False Twist Processing Conditions on the Physical Properties of PET DTY (PET 가연공정특성이 DTY의 물성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study surveys the effects of POY physical properties and processing conditions of belt texturing machine to the textured yarns. The various textured yarns are made with the variations of 1st heater temperature, draw ratio, velocity ratio, and the physical properties of these specimens such as yam linear density, tenacity, breaking strain, and wet and dry thermal shrinkages are measured and analysed with the various processing conditions of texturing machine. Especially, the thermal characteristics of the textured yarns, which are affected at the fabric hands and the determination of the processing conditions in the dyeing and finishing processes, are investigated through the thermal stress analyser and DSC experiments.

  • Nylon textured yarn is usually manufactured by disk type false twist texturing. Dyeing properties of nylon textured yam have not been studied yet. In this study, dyeing properties of nylon textured yam according to draw ratio out of process parameters were investigated. The fact that microstructure of nylon textured yarn in amorphous region particularly is transformed by draw ratio was confirmed indirectly by measurement of dyeing rate because dyeing rate was affected by the structure of amorphous region. Dyeing rate at draw ratio 1.29 was the lowest because the higher draw ratio increase amorphous orientation and disturb dye diffusion into amorphous region. The microstructure according draw ratio was indirectly confirmed by 5% strength, tenacity, elongation. But difference in K/S value and fastness was insignificant.

  • The radiant energy from a flaming fire of fuels containing carbonaceous material can be applied to fast growing fire. Raiant energy sensinsing technique applied detectors are ultimately effective when early detecting fire alarm system is required or the smoke and heat detectors can not be applied. This study investigated the characteristics of sun light, artificial light and flame radiation light and the foundation technique of flame detecting is established. Pyroelectric element proper for the characteristics of flame radiant energy developed and circuit stabilizing technique, electro-magnetic immunity technique, durable and reliable operating technique to circuits developed.

  • Lean burn combustion is an important concept for improving the fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. However, the lean burning is associated with increased cycle-to-cycle combustion variations due to the ignition instabilities and redu- ced flame propagation rates. Engine stability under lean mixture conditions could be improved by increasing flame speed through enhanced flow characteristics and by securing ignitability with improvement of ignition systems. The effects of flow motion and ignition characteristics on the combustion performances were investigated in a 4-valve SI engine. Flow motions of tumble-swirl were varied with a swirl control valve attached at the inlet ports, while ignition energy and its distribution were controlled in a high -frequency ignition system by changing spark duration and spark frequency. The improvement of lean burn performance by the optimum flow motion and ignition characteristics is discussed.

  • 건축물의 고층화와 그 구조의 다양화, 고밀도화에 따른 실내의 가연물 증가등으로 인한 화재의 잠재적인 위험성은 날로 증대되고 있으며, 건물화재를 완전히 방지하는 것은 현실적으로 거의 불가능하다고 볼 수 있다. 그러므로 건물의 잠재된 화재 위험성을 평가한다는 것은 건축물을 화재로부터 피해를 최소화하고, 화재를 미연에 예방한다는 측면에서 매우 중요한 일이다. 그러나 화재 위험성을 평가하는 방법이 표준화 되어있지 않고, 정량적 평가를 할 수 있는 방법이 매우 드문 것이 현실이다. 따라서 화재 위험성을 정량화 시켜 평가할 수 있는 평가모델을 개발하고, 이를 바탕으로 소프트웨어를 개발함으로써 체계적이고 쉽게 평가 할 수 있도록 하여 화재의 위험성을 감소시키는데 도움이 되도록 하였다.   • 조선업 및 화학공장 등 산업현장의 화재사고 중 용접$\cdot$용단작업시 불티에 의해 주위의 가연성물질을 착화시켜 화재, 폭발 사고를 일으키는 원인이 되고 있다. 이들 불꽃은 수평방향 및 틈새, 배관구멍 또는 마루나 댁의 작은 개구부 등을 통하여 비산되고 상당시간 훈소화재 형태를 유지하다 발화되어 화재의 원인이 되고 있다. 특히, 용단작업시 비산되는 불티는 $1,600^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온체로서 산소 압력에 따라 다르나 약 11 m(산소압력, 7 kg/$cm^2$)까지 비산되어 이 반경내에 있는 가연물에 착화될 수 있으므로 이에 대한 예방대책이 필요한 작업공정이다.   • Lots of techniques are adopted for a flame stabilization and a high-load combustion. But the techniques being used were passive control method which have to change combustor shape like pilot flame, flame stabilizer, pressure profile, etc. Active control method which is not necessary to transform its shape is employed. Acoustical excitation is broadly used for its convenience in changing frequency and intensity. Both acoustical excitation and flame stabilizers were adopted to study their relationship. So, we investigated flammability limits. Flame visualization. And mean temperature in the condition of various frequencies, intensities, and flame stabilizers. As a consequence, flammability limit were advanced in acoustically excited flame at some frequencies. Coherent structure was extended to the downstream region through acoustical excitation and a size of vortice was curtailed. Also width of recirculation zone was magnified. In addition, Effects of acoustical excitation was stood out at 25mm flame stabilizer rather than another ones.

Fuel Stratification Process in a Lean Burn Internal Combustion Engine by Using Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence (PLIF를 이용한 희박연소엔진에서의 연료 성층화에 관한 연구)

  • Mixture formation in the cylinder of a lean bum engine has been observed by Laser Induced Fluorescence technique. XeCl laser (308nm) was used to produce a laser sheet. 3-pentanone has been added to iso-octane fuel to produce fluorescence, the intensity of which is proportional to the concentration of the fuel. The laser sheet was introduced through the piston window and the fuel distribution in the vertical plane was observed through a side window. Comparison has been made for the cases of selected fuel injection timing as 0, 360, 405, and 450 CA. For the case of 0 and 360 CA injection, uniform fuel distribution in the combustion chamber has been obtained at the ignition time which is favorable for the high load mode. And the late injection cases, 405 and 450 CA, revealed the stratified formation of rich mixture around the spark plug. That extends the lean misfire limit and reduces cyclic variation in the low load mode.

  • The flammability limit and the flame instability of nitrogen-diluted LPG fuel was experimentally studied on a co-flow flame configuration. The combustion reaction of nitrogen-diluted hydrocarbon with air could be interpreted as the equivalent reaction of pure fuel with nitrogen-diluted air. Nitrogen-diluted LPG with nitrogen up to 90 % of nitrogen mole fraction in fuel, which is close to the flammability limit, could form a co-flow flame. Various parameters such as laminar or turbulent flame, the existence of diffusion flame with pure fuel, air temperature could affect the limit of flame formation.

  • 세계화가 진행되는 요즘, 외국어의 한글 표기 수요가 점차 증가하고 있다. 하지만 현대 한글은 11,172자 밖에 표현할 수 없는 반면 훈민정음은 약 399억 음절을 표현할 수 있다. 하지만 기존 컴퓨터 시스템에서의 훈민정음은 훈민정음 창제원리가 반영되어 있지 않아 약 399억 음절을 온전히 표현할 수 없다. 본 연구의 목적으로 약 399억 음절 입력이 가능한 윈도우용 정음 입력기를 구현하기 위해 기존 연구에 이어 정음 조합 자동 장치를 연구하고 구현하여 이식함에 있다.
