A Study on the Cooling Mechanism in Liquid Rocket Engine of 10tf-Thrust Level using Kerosene as a Fuel (케로신을 연료로 하는 10톤급 액체로켓엔진의 냉각 기구에 관한 연구)

  • The cooling mechanism for a liquid rocket engine of 10tf-thrust using kerosene as a fuel was studied from the viewpoint of both the regenerative and curtain cooling. Based on the concept of a highly-stratified gas flow in the combustion chamber, the cross section of the combustion chamber was spilt into 2 independent parts, core and exterior part. Additional fuel is injected into the exterior section and gas temperature can be reduced in the exterior section. Consequently, the heat flux into the coolant and wall temperature are reduced and the thermal stability of a liquid rocket en g i.ne could be improved.

  • The cooling mechanism for a regenerative cooling liquid rocket engine of 10tf-thrust using kerosene as a fuel was studied from the viewpoint of curtain cooling. A Study on the Laminar Burning Velocity of Synthetic Gas of Coal Gasification(H2/CO)-Air Premixed Flames (석탄가스화 합성가스(H2/CO)-공기 예혼합화염의 층류 연소속도에 관한 연구)

  • Syngas laminar burning velocity measurements were carried out at atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature using the Bunsen flame configuration with nozzle burner as a fundamental study on flame stability of syngas fuel. Representative syngas mixture compositions ($H_2$:CO) such as 25:75%, 50:50% and 75:25% and equivalence ratios from 0.5 to 1.4 have been conducted. Average laminar burning velocities have been determined by the stabilized nozzle burner flames using the angle method, radical surface area method and compared with the data obtained from the other literatures. And the results of each experimental methodologies in the various composition ratios and equivalence ratios were coincided with the result of numerical simulation. Especially, it was confirmed that there was necessary to choice a more accurate measurement methodology even the same static flame method for the various composition ratios of syngas fuel including hydrogen. Also, it was reconfirmed that the laminar burning velocities gradually increased with the increasing of hydrogen content in a fuel mixture.

  • 대표적 가스계 소화약제인 $CO_2$의 소화기구(Extinguishing mechanism)를 재조명하기 위하여, $CH_4$/air 저 신장율 대향류 확산화염을 대상으로 $CO_2$가 소화에 미치는 영향에 대한 수치해석이 수행되었다. 부력이 지배적인 화염의 소화현상은 복사 열손실에 의해 큰 영향을 받기 때문에, 소화농도 예측에 대한 복사모델의 성능평가가 우선적으로 이루어졌다. 주요 결과로서, 공기류에 첨가된 $CO_2$의 소화농도는 복사모델이 고려되지 않은 경우 과다 예측되는 반면에, 간략화된 광학적으로 얇은 근사(Optically thin approximation) 모델과 비교적 높은 정확도를 갖는 좁은 밴드(Statistical narrow band) 모델은 실험의 오차범위 내에서 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. $CO_2$가 소화에 미치는 순수 희석효과, 희석에 의한 복사효과, 화학적 효과 및 열적효과를 정량적으로 분석하기 위하여 가상의 소화약제의 개념을 도입하였다. 이를 통해 화염의 총괄신장율에 따른 $CO_2$ 소화효과에 대한 구체적인 이해가 시도되었다.

Chemical Reactions in the Coal-Methane-Air Flame (석탄화염내 화학반응에 관한 연구)

  • The present study is described of the flame structure of one-dimensional, flat, premixed, laminar, coal-air flame with some addition of methane for the flame stability. A low pressure burner operating at a combustion pressure of 0.3 arm was employed in order to extend the reaction zone. Predicted results from the models considered in the present study are compared with experimental results. Comparisons are included gas temperatures, species concentrations, char analysis and measured burning velocity. Among the models, Model II $I^{*}$-d, which specified devolatilization rate constants and a char surface area factor S=4, resulted in good agreement within the present experimental ranges. The results of char analysis suggest that the extent of the reaction occurring on the panicle might be underestimated in the model so that the char surface area should be increased. A value of 4 for this factor was given by sensitivity analysis of change in char surface area. Again, model II $I^{*}$-d gave satisfactory predictions of burning velocities over most of the experimental range studied. It has been clearly shown that the particle diameter appreciably affects the rates of devolatilisation and char oxidation through the effects of thermal lag and volumetric reactive surface area, consequently laminar burning velocity.ity.

전자부품의 냉각을 위한 자연대류 상관 관계식의 평가

  • 복잡한 전자부품의 조립시에 필요한 열적 디자인에 관한 정보는 오래전부터 실험을 통하여 얻어지고 있다. 실험적 데이터를 이용하여 무차원 파라미터로 표시된 실험결과는 꼭 같지는 않지만 현상적으로는 비슷한 상황에 응용될 수 있다. 여기서는 학술문헌에 나타나 있는 자연대류에 관한 실험적인 상관관계식들과 프레임에 수직으로 꽂혀있는 균일가열 전자회로기판의 모델에서 얻어진 무차원 자료들을 비교하고자 한다. 대부분의 자료들은 수정채널 Rayleigh수(Ra")가 15~100범위에 속하며, 이러한 범위는 부품이 조밀하게 배치된 기관이 서로 좁은 채널을 이루고 있으며, 동시에 상당한 전력을 소비하고 있는 경우에 해당한다. Wirt와 Stutzman, Bar-Cohen과 Rohsenow의 일반상관관계식은 AT'||'&'||'T Bell 연구소에서 개발된 전자기기를 이용하여 수집한 실험데이터를 잘 표현하고 있으며 10 < Ra" <1,000범위에서 추천될 수 있다. 두개의 유사한 상관관계식과 비교할 때 상당히 좋은 예측을 보였으며 또한 Sparrow와 Gregg의 연구결과와도 잘 일치하므로 Ra" < 10인 경우에 Aung의 완전발달층류의 채널유동방식, Ra" > 1,000인 경우에는 Aung등의 단일 수직평판 근사식이 추천될 수 있다.
