In first-person perspective training system, the users needs realistic experience. For providing this experience, the system should offer the users virtual and real images at the same time. We propose an automatic a persons's arm segmentation and image composition method. It consists of arm segmentation part and image composition part. Arm segmentation uses an arbitrary image as input and outputs arm segment or alpha matte. It enables end-to-end learning because we make use of FCN in this part. Image composition part conducts image combination between the result of arm segmentation and other image like road, building, etc. To train the network in arm segmentation, we used arm images through dividing the videos that we took ourselves for the training data.

Augmented Reality(AR) assists human's cognitive ability through the information visualization by substantiating information about virtual situation. This technology is studied in a variety of ways including education, design, industry, and so on, by various supply of information devices equipped with cameras and display monitors. Since the most of the AR system depends on limited interaction that responds to the order from user, it can not reflect diverse real world situation. In this study, we suggest a knowledge based augmented reality system, which is composed of context awareness agent that provides recognized context information, along with knowledge based component that provides intelligent capability by utilizing domain knowledges. With this capability, the augmented object can generate dynamic model intelligently by reflecting context information, and can make the interaction possible among the multiple objects. We developed rule based context awareness system along with 3D model generation, and tested interaction among the augmented objects. And we suggest a framework that can provide a convenient way of developing augmented reality system for user.

This paper investigates the possibility of exploiting haptic force-feedback technology for interacting with Nanta music. We use VR technologies including touch processing technologies and haptic devices to offer touch of cylinder objects and cup object to users. Haptic device is used to implement touch model in VR space. Matlab/Simulink and proSENCE Virtual Touch Toolbox of Handshake Inc. for experiment, are used as programing tools. Function needed to describe the movement of x, y, and z axis respectively are applied to delineate the natural movement of water in cup object modeled with 3D. A certain amount of water in cup object has the difference of sounds. In experiment, to perceive the appearance of 3D object by touch and to feel the tactile by touch are conducted with the effect of sound on Haptic perception. We also verify that it is possible to develop games or contents in VR space by using point.
M&S in the field of national defense is a battle system has been highly spotlighted for obtaining weapon systems, analyzing and experimentation of battle effects to reduce costs, time, and risks. It is classified as Campaign, Mission, Engagement, and Engineering levels by detail of description. In engagements, many situations on the battle field which are really unpredictable are required to be considered on the view of diverse tactics. Thus, engagement simulation is in demand to use for forecasting real-world battle situations by inserting various components which consists of real engaging situations into virtual local battle field. While developing the engagement simulation, adopting the concept of agent-based simulation gives it benefits which are improved autonomy, composability, and reusability of entities. It means reducing the time, cost and effort to develop the simulations. This paper concentrates on the framework of multi-agent based engagement simulation using Cougaar Architecture.

In 2011, more than 2000 million smartphone users are in our country. As a result, consumer demand have been developed for a variety of applications, especially in the information service-related applications that combine location-based services and augmented reality in addition to related information for the virtual reality of things are rapidly increased. This paper analysed location-based services and augmented reality technology as related research and designed and implemented the system that provides the same environment as if the user is shopping and purchasing the items in the real world and offers the information characterizing the real situation combines location-based service and augmented reality which provides with an excellent reality in the smart phone environment. The proposed system in this paper is excellent in mobility, scalability and reality as a result of analysis of functions and services compared to web-based systems and has advantages to apply for the suitable system in ubiqutous environment which can be used in anytime and anywhere.

The game & multimedia industry is a high-valued industry comparing to any industry. Also, it has been shown the possibility as considerably bright future industry due to a development of the Internet, an explosive growth of on-line game market, and a union with virtual reality technology Since an on-line game having a clear profit model is expanding to PC and other platform, it brings to us a large change throughout the whole game industry. In order to develop a game, we need a number of elements. A game character among them delivers to a user the overall characteristics of a game as a visual representation and makes us access to a game directly and sensuously. A game character of on-line game is considerable in an operation in the volume of initial sales from a viewpoint of marketing. In addition, it affects to secure users and be immersed in a game. In this paper, we propose a production skill of an efficient 3D game character for 3D on-line game.
This paper presents a method for optimizing a carrying pose of human body for a given object. The inputs are articulated human body model and and arbitrary-shaped object. We assume that the object is big and heavy, so that both arms should be used to carry it. Unlike small and light objects, big and heaby objects can be hold by only a small range of body poses while keeping a physical statbility. We first introduce an algorithm that evaluates a physical stability of a given human body pose and object state (position and orientation). Then, we define a configuration space and search the space for the most stable carrying pose by using the evaluation algorithm. Finally, to demonstrate the usability of our method, we present the results which each is experimented with different shaped objects and additional user conditions.

An accurate positioning estimation in the wireless sensor networks (WSN) is very important in which each sensor node is aware of neighbor conditions. The multi-hop positioning estimation technique is considered as one of the suitable techniques for the WSN with many low power devices. However geographical holes, where there is no sensor node, may severely decrease the positioning accuracy so that the positioning error can be beyond the tolerable range. Therefore in this paper, we analyze error factors of DV-hop and hole effect to obtain node's accurate position. The proposed methods include boundary node detection, distance level adjustment, and unreliable anchor elimination. The simulation results show that the proposed method can achieve higher positioning accuracy using the hole detection and enhanced distance calculation methods compared with the conventional DV-hop.
Web-based MMORTS has features that distinguish it from traditional client-based games. First, Web-based MMORTS is represented by the combination of graphics and texts. Second, there is parallax agent which has a player and a base town character. This paper written for the purpose of analyzing the storytelling of web-based MMORTS, and from Innogames selected as the subjects of the study. In view of the results so far achieved, the fact, when the player logs in web-based MMORTS, the player takes the experience after some time which had taken by the AI character instead of the player logged out and User Generated Storytelling created from this process, become known. This paper has a meaning for Web-based virtual world which can juxtaposition with routine tasks and can be linked with other platforms.
Our society is endemic in safety insensitivity, yet we have been concerned for safety education and disaster drill since the Sewol Ferry accident. However, the practical training costs very high, and it has its limit to increase reality. Recently, industry fields put emphasis on virtual reality (VR) as alternatives, so various contents are invented by using advantages of VR. The paper explores crucial application in 3-dimensional simulation for fire drill, suggests novel design, and contemplates about educative result through designing process. In order to construct and materialize the suggested system, practical 3D spatial information model and various disaster-drill scenarios are necessary. Also, to apply game elements for augmentation in users' utility, educations based on computer science and visual art are inevitable, which requires skills in programing and modeling respectively. Thus, this study investigates educational effect of convergence field through the suggested system designing process.
