The Exploration of the Usefulness of Comparative Educational Approach in Education Policy Studies (교육정책탐구에서의 비교교육학적 접근방법의 유용성 탐색)

  • The purpose of the study is to identify the usefulness of comparative educational research approach for rational educational policy development and operation through the analysis of the area, contents, methods, and so on that comparative educational research approach in educational policy studies is used. For achieving the purpose, the study examined as the follows. First, the study discussed the academic traits and research target of educational policy and comparative education using the academic trait of definition method and the academic trait of approach method. Second, the study examined the contents of the exploration of educational policy studies in comparative education. For this, the study analyzed previous research on the relationship between comparative education and general education. And using articles published in Journal of Comparative Education, the study analyzed the contents of educational policy research in comparative education. Based on the main results, the discussions and suggestions are provided.

A Study for Analyzing the Outcome of the Accreditation System of the Extracurriculum: Focused on the Case of K University (비교과 인증제 성과 분석 연구: K 대학의 사례를 중심으로)

  • Competency cannot be transformed as knowledge, so the operation of competency-based curriculum requires support from the extracurriculum that gives many opportunities practical experience. Therefore, many universities establish the own extracurricular courses by using much financial, human, and physical infrastructure. However, it is doubtful whether the extracurriculum is effective on cultivating competencies, what kinds of programs is useful to nurture right abilities, how to assess the outcome of implementing of the extracurriculum. For these reason, the accreditation system, that awards to student who accomplish certain programs based on the given standard, has been used as the tool to manage outcome achieved by the extracurriculum. This study aimed to investigate the outcome of the accreditation system of K university in order to verify its effectiveness for cultivating competencies through the extracurriculum. Through the analysis of prior research, it could be inferred that students who achieved the accreditation system would be able to cultivate relevant competencies, improve major abilities, and instill a positive image of related administrative departments while participating in various programs. Thus, this study collected data of those who achieved the accreditation and did not by participating at least once in extracurricular program from March 2020 to February 2021 to compare their results of the diagnosis of core competencies and student circumstances, and survey of educational satisfaction and interpreted interviews of 10 students, excellent certifier. As a result, it was verified that the more evenly participating in various programs to achieve the accreditation system, the more diverse competency was obtained, and the satisfaction with the student support department and major education was improved.

  • 평균조도 계산법 중에서 국내에서 주로 사용되는 3배광법과 ZCM의 정확도를 비교하고, 그 적용한계를 파악하였다. 비교방법은 전반확산형 조명기구와 직접식 조명기구에 대하여 3배광법과 ZCM에 의한 조명률을 계산하고, 이 값들을 이용하여 여러 상황하에서의 평균조도를 계산하였다. 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션으로 동일상황에서의 조도값을 구하고, 이 값과 3배광법과 ZCM의 조도값을 각각 비교하였다. MCS법의 정확도는 Moon위 해석적인 방법과 비교하여 입증하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 방의 크기에 따른 평균조도 비교에서 전반확 형 조명기구와 직접식 조명기구의 경우 3배광법 보다 ZCM이 평균조도 오차가 적었다. 2. 광원의 수 변화에 따른 평균조도 비교에서 직접식 조명기구의 경우 3배광법은 광원의 수가 증가할수록 평균조도 오차가 감소하다가 다시 증가하였고 ZCM 은 점차적으로 감소하였다. 3. 실내면 반사율 변화에 따른 비교에서 직접식 조명기구의 경우 오차 범의가 3배광법에서 크고 ZCM에서 적게 나타냈다. 4. 방의 형태 변화에 따른 평균조도 비교에서 직접식 조명기구의 경우 방의 폭이 좁고 길이가 긴 공간에서 3배광법과 ZCM모두 오차가 크게 낱났다. 또 정방형에서 가까울수록 오차는 작아지면서 3배광법 보다 ZCM의 오차가 적었다. 그러므로 우리나라에서 혼용되고 있는 3배광법과 ZCM중에서 정확도가 높은 ZCM선택이 바람직하다.

  • In this paper, we suggested a modified revealed comparative advantage(RRCA) index for identifying regional strategic industries. The index is developed under the assumption that the concentration of industries in Korea is not based entirely on the comparative advantages. The Korean government has set up balanced development strategies since 2003 under the assumption too. The index is the ratio between the comparative advantage index and economic imbalance of the region. By the index, we selected strategic industries for 15 regions under the rule of 1) relative ratio of the index is more than 15%, 2) 1 to 3 regions for a industry according to the industry's output.

  • Korea and Japan are close countries having a mutual influence on history and have similar cultural and educational circumstances. The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the textbooks for elementary school mathematics between Korea and Japan. First, it established the theoretical backgrounds through the precedent research comparing the mathematic textbooks between South Korea and North Korea, Korea and India, Yanbian in China, Japan( Fraction part in numeral field. The Plane Figures). Next, it compared and analyzed two countries'(Korea and Japan) textbooks regarding the structural system and concept of units on the basis of the theoretical research. And it included more specific and detail contents in comparison of Korean with Japanese mathematic textbooks focused on the 5, 6th grade.

Analysis of Direction Finding Accuracy for Amplitude-Phase Comparison and Correlative Interferometer Method (진폭-위상 복합비교 기법과 상관형 위상비교 기법의 방향탐지 정확도 분석)

  • In this paper, we present the direction finding accuracy of correlative interferometer method and amplitude-phase comparison method. Spiral antennas are used for amplitude-phase comparison method and blade antennas are used for correlative interferometer method. Those are made for uniform circular array (UCA) direction finding antenna systems. We simulate the accuracy of azimuth angle with 3 antennas UCA when SNR is 20 dB and baseline is 0.5 wave length. Correlative interferometer method has better accuracy than amplitude-phase comparison method.

  • 2030년경에는 현재 '초(second)'를 정의하는 세슘 원자의 마이크로파 주파수를 이용한 원자시계 보다 훨씬 더 정밀한 광주파수시계(이하 광시계)를 이용한 초의 재정의를 앞두고 있다. 전 세계 각국에서 개발된 광주파수 시계의 동등성 확보를 위해서는 10-17 이상의 정밀도로 시각/주파수를 대륙 간에 비교할 수 있는 기술 개발이 필수적이다. 현재의 대륙 간 시각 비교에 사용되는 위성을 이용한 시각/주파수 비교 방식은 10-16 수준의 정밀도가 한계이나, 한국천문연구원과 국토지리정보원이 보유한 전파망원경을 이용하여, 10-17 수준 또는 이보다 나은 광시계 비교가 가능할 것으로 기대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 천문연과 세종의 전파망원경을 이용하여 세계 최초로 22 GHz 대역에서 광섬유로 전송된 원자시계 신호를 이용한 VLBI 관측에 성공하였다. 이를 통해 고정밀 원자시계 비교 능력을 검증함으로써, 향후 초의 재정의에 가장 큰 당면 과제인 대륙간 고정밀 광시계 비교 연구의 실질적인 기반을 마련하였다. 이후 한-이태리 VLBI 관측을 통하여 표준과학연구원과 이탈리아 INRIM에서 개발한 두 광시계의 동등성 비교를 진행할 계획이다.

Comparisons on the Quality Characteristics of Pigmented Rice CholPyon with Those of Brown and White Rice (유색미, 현미 및 일반미 절편의 품질 특성 비교)

  • Cholpyon, a traditional Korean rice cake, was prepared using pigmented rice and the quality characteristics them were compared with Cholpyon made of brown and white ice during 24 hr storage at 20$\^{C}$. In proximate composition, crude protein contents were not significantly different among three rice varieties whereas the contents of crude lipid and ash in pigmented and brown rice were higher than that of white rice. In mechanical characteristics, 100% pigmented rice Cholpyon showed lower values for hardness, cohesiveness, springiness and chewiness, and higher value far adhesiveness compared with those of white rice Cholpyon. These results were maintained for 24 hours. Sensory Characteristics of 100% pigmented rice Cholpyon such as color, hardness and overall quality were better than those of white rice Cholpyon. Brown rice Cholpyon had similar mechanical properties to 100% pigmented rice Cholpyon, but showed the lowest preference in color.

  • It has not been a long time since a comparative advertising was emphasized in the advertising industry and academics. The issue is whether comparative advertising is more effective than noncomparative advertising, and if it is true, then under what conditions it is more effective. Based upon previous research results and expertises' opinions, the authors try to figure out the hierarchy of comparative advertising effect and its determinants. The objective of this exploratory study is to develop a conceptual model on comparative advertising effect and research propositions. This model would provide us with broader understanding on comparative advertising, practical guidelines for comparative advertisement production, and foundations of developing more detailed model on comparative advertising effectiveness.

Effects of EngageGram on e-Learning Participation According to the Types of Learners' Social Comparison Motive (이러닝 학습자들의 사회비교동기 유형에 따른 EngageGram이 학습참여도에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of EngageGram which is a motivator of e-learning participation on learners' online participation according to the types of social comparison motive. Research participation was 144 undergraduate students (male: 106, female: 38) who took the course entitled "Creative Thinking." Social comparison motive of learners were investigated by two methods: social comparison motive scales and learners' opinions on EngageGram. As results, there was no statically corelation between the types of social comparison motive by using scales and online participation, however, there was statically differences on e-learning participation according to the types of social comparison motives by analyzing learners' opinions. Learners mostly have self-enhancement motive in a learning context so they are motivated to participate actively by EngageGram. This study provide useful implication in the research area of learning analytics.
