  • The evolution of lectures and microstructure during the warm-rolling and subsequent annealing in aluminum 3004 alloy sheets was investigated by employing X-ray texture measurements and microstructure observations. Whereas the typical $\beta$-fiber orientations with the strong Bs-orientation $\{112\}<110>$ formed in the normally cold-rolled specimen, the warm-rolling at $250^{\circ}C$ led to the development of a strong through thickness texture gradient which was characterized by shear texture at the surface layer and rolling textures at the center layer After warm rolling, ultra-fine grains formed in the thickness layer with shear texture components. Upon recrystallization annealing, the $\{001\}<100>$ Cube-texture developed at the expense of normal rolling texture components the rise to the formation of corase recrystallized grains. However, in the layer with shear texture components the continuous recrystallization took place and the fine grain size persisted even after recrystallization annealing.

  • A study on the microstructure, the texture and the formability of the samples after ECAPed and subsequent heat-treated AA 1050 aluminum alloy sheet have been carried out. The specimens after the ECAP showed a very fine grain size, a decrease of <100> // ND, and an increase of <111> // ND textures. The $\{111\}<112>,\;\{123\}<634>,\;\{110\}<001>,\;\{112\}<111>,\;\{110\}<111>,\;and\;\{013\}<231>$ texture components were increased in the specimens after the ECAP and subsequent heat-treatment at $400^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. One of the most important properties in sheet metals is formability. The r-value or plastic strain ratio has was as a parameter that expressed the formability of sheet metals. The change of the plastic strain ratios after the ECAP and subsequent heat-treatment conditions were investigated and it was found that they were two times higher than those of the initial Al sheets. This could be attributed to the formation above texture components through the ECAP and subsequent heat-treatment of AA 1050 Aluminum alloy sheet.

Hadfield강에서의 마르텐사이트 상변태와 결정방위조직과의 관계 연구 (The Martensitic Phase Transformation and Texture Development in Hadfield's Steels)

  • 다른 탄소함량을 갖는 두 Hadfield 강에서 압연에 따른 결정방위조직(Texture)과 마르텐사이트 상변태를 연구하였다(0.65wt.%, 1.35wt.%) 두 Hadfield 강의 적층결함에너지 차이가 매우 적음에도 불구하고 (약 2mJm$^{-2}$ ) 결정방위조직은 차이를 보였다. 0.65wt.% 탄소 강의 경우, 낮은 변형구간에서는 낮은 적층에너지 금속과 비슷한 결정방위조직을 보였으나 높은 변형에서는 {111}, {110}<001>과 같은 이상 결정방위조직이 나타났고, 이것은 입계 또는 일단의 전단띠에(shear bands) 형성된 $\alpha$ 마르텐사이트의 방해에 의한 것으로 생각된다. 이와는 대조적으로 1.35wt.% Hadfield강은 전변형구간에서 낮은 적층결함에너지를 갖는 금속과 비슷한 결정방위조직을 보이고 있다. 이것은 변형중에 유도된 마르텐사이트의 양이 적게 형성되는 사실에 기인하며, 변형에 따른 $\alpha$ 마르텐사이트 변태는 교류자화율과 금속입자 시험으로 알 수 있다.

Inhomogeneity of Hot Rolling Texture in Cu/Nb Added Ultra Low Carbon Steels

  • The texture and microstructure in Cu/Nb added ultra low carbon steels through the different thickness layer were studied after hot rolling. It was found that the two ultra low carbon steels all show the inhomogeneity of hot rolling texture and the Cu-added ultra low carbon steel was far more inhomogeneous than Nb-added one. In the center layer, the strong ${\alpha}\;fibre,\;{\gamma}\;fibre$ textures and the shear textures including 001<110>, 111<112> were founded. Near the surface, the ${\alpha}\;fibre$ texture and the orientation texture caused by a typical plane-strain deformation condition of bcc metals were observed.

  • In order to analyze the effect of hot asymmetric rolling on the microstructure and texture of aluminum alloy and to investigate the effect of the texture on the formability and plastic anisotropy of aluminum alloy, aluminum 6061 alloy is asymmetrically rolled at room temperature, $200^{\circ}C$, $350^{\circ}C$, and $500^{\circ}C$, and the results are compared with symmetrically rolled results. In the case of asymmetric rolling, the equivalent strain (${\varepsilon}_{eq}$) is greatest in the upper roll part where the rotational speed of the roll is high and increases with increasing rolling temperature. The increase rate of the mean misorientation angle with increasing temperature is larger than that during symmetrical rolling, and dynamic recrystallization occurs the most when asymmetrical rolling is performed at $500^{\circ}C$. In the case of hot symmetric rolling, the {001}<110> rotated cube orientation mainly develops, but in the case of hot asymmetric rolling, the {111}<110> orientation develops along with the {001}<100> cube orientation. The hot asymmetric rolling improves the formability (${\bar{r}}$) of the aluminum 6061 alloy to 0.9 and reduces the plastic anisotropy (${\Delta}r$) to near zero due to the {111}<110> shear orientation that develops by asymmetric rolling.

  • The development of rolling texture is dependent on the various rolling condition. And the geometry of rolling gab and the friction between rolls and rolled material mainly affect the type and sharpness of texture inhomogeneity through thickness. In order to follow the effect of geometry and friction various strain/pass and lubrication condition were applied during cold rolling. In this investigation various strain/pass and lubrication were applied during cold rolling in order to follow the effect rolling gap geometry and friction. More high 1/h was, more weak the ${\beta}$-fiber was and in the condition of l/h > 5 {001}<110> shear texture developed. In adition, rolling without lubrication enhanced the shear texture.

  • 본 연구에서는 orthorhombic결정구조를 갖는YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/ O/sub 7/-x에대해[001-110-110]을 잇는 표중 ECP map을 작성하였고 이에 대한 지수를 결정하였다. 그 후, 소성가공으로 배향화시킨 산화물 추전도체의 결정입 방위분포를 개개의 결정입에 대하여 정량화할 수 있는 ECP(electron channeling pattern)법으로 해석하여 임계전류밀도(jc)와 결정배향도의관계를 조사하였다. 실온에서 압축한 tape에 대해 JC를 측정한 결과, tape의 두께감소에 따라JC는 크게 증가하였으며 이는 tape의 두께가 감소함에따라 결정립의 (001) 배향도가 높아진데 기인한 것임을 ECP로 방위해석한 결과 알 수 있었다. 또한 고온에서 50% 압축변형시킨 시료의 경우도 강한 c축배향이 나타남을 ECP로 방위해석한 결과 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 ECP법을 이용한 결정방위 해석법은 JC등 초전도특성이 결정방위분포에 의존하는 산화불 초전도체의 조직제어 연구 등에 유효하게 응용될 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 특히 박막이나 tape 등 크기가 작은 시료의 방위해석에 효과적으로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

열간 비대칭 압연한 AA3003 판재의 집합조직과 소성변형비 변화 (Texture and Plastic Strain Ratio Changes of Hot Asymmetrically Rolled AA3003 Sheet)

  • The plastic strain ratio is one of the factors of the deep drawability of metal sheets. The plastic strain ratio of Al sheet is low value. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the plastic strain ratio in order to improve the deep draw ability of the Al sheet. This study investigated the increase of the plastic strain ratio and the texture change of AA3003 sheet after the hot asymmetric rolling. The average plastic strain ratio of the initial AA3003 sheets was 0.69. After 83% hot asymmetric rolling at $200^{\circ}C$, the average plastic strain ratio was 0.83. The average plastic strain ratio of the 83% hot asymmetrically rolled AA3003 sheet at $200^{\circ}C$ is 1.2 times higher than that of the initial AA3003 sheet. The ${\mid}{\Delta}R{\mid}$ of 83% hot asymmetrically rolled AA3003 sheet at $200^{\circ}C$ is 0.83 times lower than that of the initial AA3003 sheet. This result is due to the development of the intensity of ${\gamma}-fiber$ texture and reduces the intensity of {001}<110> and {001}<100> textures after hot asymmetric rolling of AA3003 sheet.

  • In grain oriented electrical steel process, hot band annealing has thought to be essential for obtaining good magnetic properties. New hot rolling method of heavy reduction in early hot rolling stage was applied to obtain good magnetic properties in GO process without hot band annealing. Hot rolling was carried out by varyinghot rolling reduction distribution along hot rolling pass. The heavy hot rolling reduction in rear stand improves the magnetic flux density in the case of no hot band annealing. The hot band specimens of the heavy reduction in front stand shows the elongated hot deformed microstructures in the center layer and strong {001}<110> texture.On the contrary, the heavily reduced specimens in rear stand shows the recrystallization in the center layer of hot band and strong {111}<112> and {110}<001> textures.
